I was with someone who was returning s rental car here this afternoon. The person I was with has trouble walking so when we were going to get our UBER the other person tried to catch up to me and slipped. Luckily the UBER driver and 2 customers were sweet and kind to help the person I was with up. There were a couple people who were from Enterprise who saw her slip and not once come out and even check on her ot offer assistance. Not a thing. After a long day of trying to find a rental car, and a very rude interaction with a manager in training over at Hertz, I discovered this enterprise location roughly 45 minutes before they closed. Right away I was greeted pleasantly and was ensured that my experience here would be nothing like my experience over at hertz. A specific gentleman who I believe is the manager named Javien made this experience an absolute 10/10. He was helpful, patient, thorough with his work and most importantly kind. Don't let the good reviews mislead you. This location doesn't seem to keep promises to insurance customers. I had numerous conversations giving all my information and I had to pick up 8am sharp and go straight to work. Assured me I pretty much be handed keys and let go ( after license and etc). Didnt have a vehicle ready and a couple brought their rental back. Was told that was my car and needed to wait to clean. Headed to work late , in a uber. read more

This is one of the best places to rent a car. I am particularly choosy about the car I rent, and they do have a good collection of vehicles. The first time I rented with them was sometime in Sep'07 and they gave me a 2008 Altima with 35 miles on it(they had got delivery of the car the same day). Sooper. I zipped my way thru MA, enjoyed the drive along CT, cursed other drivers and violated every rule across NY and NJ, all the time feeling the sweet churn of the pistons under my foot. The second time they gave me a Pontiac G6, even soooper. Time to rent another one.........hmmmm is that a Chrysler 300 that I see. Now that is a pimp-mobile . Free upgrades, easy car replacement(flat tire), and friendly staff. What else do you need from a rental company? These guys gave me everything I needed with ease. I always get the cheapest car, because oftentimes there are none left and you're at the whim of whatever the rental company has too many of. I lucked out with a midsize car and it was great. Rented a economy last year but got a compact because there were no economies woohoo! (I'm on a budget) Rented a economy few weeks ago, got an economy. Holy crabs what a flimsy car. Of course, you get what you paid for, but I'm not an expert in cars and didn't know how crappy cars could get (got a Chevy Aveo). The times that I rented a car, I dealt with Bob. He's very friendly and very patient in explaining details about insurance options etc. I googled a few places to rent a car before but Enterprise was the cheapest and friendliest on the phone. I always try to rent from the Commercial Street location whenever I can. Great service, very professional staff, and it's generally very fast to pick up and drop off a rental car here. We rented a compact SUV for a July 4 weekend road trip & got a brand-new, super clean Hyundai Santa Fe. Enterprise prices seem a bit higher than other services, but trust me, it all comes out in the wash at other rental car places. Some competitors advertise super-low rates but after they tack on fees etc., the final price is often the same or higher. Enterprise is very up-front about the cost of a rental. I also tend to get a free upgrade occasionally, which ain't bad. In the past I've complained to Enterprise about strong cigarette & weed odors in some of their cars. They always try to fix it, usually with a replacement vehicle, sometimes with a significant discount. Other rental car companies, I've literally had the sales person shrug and say, "yeah, that happens sometimes." So I'm happy with Enterprise's quality service & usually clean cars. read more

Requirement to rent a car /All Drivers Must: Meet the renting location's minimum age requirements. Have a valid driver's license. Have a major credit card in their name at the time of rental or meet the locations cash qualification requirements. ... I know everyone has their version of rental horror stories, but this one was preventable.... so I called this office at 8:30am (Saturday) to notify them that I forgot my FASTLANE transponder in the dash compartment. The rep who picked up the phone, MARSHALL, assured me that he will take care of it personally. I went to pick up my personal item at 11am...O and behold, no car, no transponder! Instead of growing a pair and owning up to this F' up....MARSHALL points the finger at the car wash guy! And to make matters worse, he tried to save Face in front of the customers by saying they looked everywhere and didnt find it. News Flash, I got better things to do on my Saturdays then go match wits with your single digit IQ!!! I travel 100 miles daily on the PIKE, now i'll be stuck in the snail lane...cuz some kid thought his job was more important than setting aside 5mins of his time to do the right thing! read more

When getting repairs done to my car after getting into a car accident the shop set me up with Enterprise for a rental. I called and the staff let me know I would not need to bring a credit card, as I would be paying at the end of my rental period. When I arrived the girl I worked with Danica was rude and told me they needed a card and would be charging me $150.00 up front. I explained I didn't have the correct credit card with me, only my debit card and asked if I could provide her the info on the card (I know my credit card number and information). She rudely said no and stated "we're just like a normal store, we need to swipe your card". A few minutes later she said if the insurance company accepted liability they could call in and get the billing changed over the phone...so I guess physically swiping a card isn't the only option... When I booked my appointment to drop off my car and pick up my rental the person on the phone had told me if I was running at all late to let them know so Enterprise wouldn't be kept waiting. I arrived 10 minutes early, but my rental car did not arrive for 40 minutes, a full thirty minutes after my scheduled time was. Already 30 minutes late to get to work, another rep with Enterprise pulls up in my rental car and let's me know there is less then a quarter tank of gas... So I then needed to proceed to go fill up immediately upon leaving. Overall my experience with Enterprise was poor. read more

I had reservation at this enterprise. I arrive at time. She welcomed me pretty good. But then refused to give me car because I was under 25 and my own car insurance wasn't full coverage. They didn't had good options for cars anyways. Worst service. Never go back. Go to one on commercial st or one in Wakefield is the best. read more

I rented from this enterprise a few times while I lived in Boston. It was easier and cheaper for me to rent a car when needed due to the availability of public transportation. Most of the time the transactions were business as usual. Most recently, I interacted with the new manager, Pat. He got me a great deal for a holiday rental. He was also fast on both the pick up and drop off so I could be on my way quickly. Great service. read more

I'm a fan of Enterprise on Commercial Street because I frequently rent for both business and personal reasons. They almost always give me the best possible rate and the best available car. When there is a glitch (a tiny handful in the past 7 years), they are quick to acknowledge the issue, listen to my gripe, and, to date, make it right.... The worst experience ever. I called them around 1 pm to confirm my reservation and get picked up, they told me they didn't have any one available to pick me up until 3:30pm. I end up getting ride from a friend of mine. When I arrived, the African American lady who was in the customer service was absolutely unprofessional. After confirming my info, the first thing she said was "we only have one chevy" when I said that was okay, she replied "you got no choice because that's all we have." She had a very bad attitude. The car had cigarette smell, even though it was clean. I had to accept it because it was rainy day and i was in hurry. Also the car had the breaks issue, since every time i turned the engine on, the beaks service message was showing up o the dashboard. After all, this was my experience with this specific enterprise location. I'll mail my complain to their headquarters, I'm just waiting to see what else might happen after i drop off the car. read more
