I called in advance (Days before pick up date) to make sure I have the correct amount and double check for any hidden fees. I arrived at the location for pick up slightly early (I did not mind waiting for my car to get ready) and upon renting the car the young lady informed me the correct rate (including taxes and etc) for the rental. I swipe my card for what I was told. Moments later the other gentleman at the counter asked about insurance, I inclined but specify I needed the cheapest rental insurance simply because if anything were to happen my job would cover me. Well unfortunately the young man didn't throughly explained the pricing because my account was nearly in a negative shortly after. After receiving my car (not knowing my card was being charged multiple times) I realized the key remote did not work, I was already informed that there were stains but I wasn't aware of not being able to utilize the trunk. In order to use the trunk you had to pull the gas and trunk level at the same time because obviously something was wrong. Overall it was a disaster. My car was a disaster. I'm still awaiting for my refund and now I may have to get a replacement card because my bank sent me an alert stating Thrifty attempting to take additional funds. I refuse. I get a call saying the car is due back 10/5, without calling me or notifying or taking the dang car they let him leave with it.... then I go for the deposit doors locked they put the person they gave the car too off the property when he asked for the money ok, that's what you should have done when he asked you could he keep a car that wasn't under his name. So they broke the rules of their own policy and kept my money for it...I come they wouldn't unlock the doors they stuck the paper through the door and refuse to come out and talk. I called the cops and of course they know nothing is gonna happen because they have cash money and it's not a criminal matter as the Cobb County police said, well it's theft because he refuse to give my money back the police said it wasn't that it was a dispute. I don't mind filing a claim in small claims court, not a problem but they took the paper work and I needed to file in the courts. While their another guy said they did the exact samething to them and they call the cops anytime they keep your money and have you removed from their property.
