Horrible. They don't help you with anything. They give you such junky cars- so much so that the car did not even have a car seat holder at the back of the front seats. What am I supposed to do with my stuff? Hold it while I drive? No place to attach your own transponder, so another thing to hold I guess while driving on the mass pike. They gave me 2 huge keys- I didn't want them, they said you have to take them and you are responsible for them. They are heavy and exceptionally bulky. I don't want their stupid extra key. The car is junky with only 400 miles on it. They don't have a holder for phone. I guess again, that's another thing for me to hold while driving, with my 4th hand. I received the car exact car that I selected and they were fast to get me checked out. There were about 4 people in front of me and only one girl working. She was checking people in swiftly and running to the back to clean cars and get them going. She remained calm and did her job well while she was waiting for her other coworkers to return from pick ups. This location would benefit from having another employee or by giving who checked me in a raise because she was doing the job of two people and doing it well. read more

I made a reservation for a car a couple days in advance and when I went to pick it up they told me that they were waiting on returns and had no cars available. What is the point of a reservation? You need to fix your system. Them woman I dealt with was polite and i know it wasn't her fault so I would say nice people but horribly run company. read more

So my insurance company rented a car back in September 2024 since my personal vehicle was being repaired. Everything was fine until I gave them back the rental car a couple weeks later since my car was fixed. It all started when I realized that night that I forgot my EZpass transponder on the windshield of the rental car. I thought I read somewhere that they thoroughly clean the cars and inspect them before they go out to a new customer... if that was true then they would has cleaned the windshield and noticed my personal EZpass transponder was attached. Anyways I contacted this enterprise location multiple times for 2 months and they kept telling me the car that I originally had was rented out to other customers and would look at it when it was returned. It's been over 4 months and I have not heard any word from their staff if it was ever found. Also, I was told to call at least once a week to make sure the car would come back and they would've inspected it. Although what happened after a few weeks of calling in to check on my issue a staff member picked up the phone and I could hear him rudely sigh and say "oh my god" because he remembered me and my issue. Overall, I am not pleased with the experience and the Google reviews are ok but I should have looked at the Yelp reviews to see that this place has a below average positive customer reviews. Finally, I have contacted both this enterprise rental location and the online customer service and nothing has been resolved. All I want now is a refund for my transponder since I need to order one from EZpass. read more

Prejudice & Do not help you out with anything. Nick wouldn't wait for me three minutes after closing to go pick up a car for a clean Nissan Armada. They sent me all the way to Framingham to pick up a car that was DIRTY & UNSANITIZED. Awful customer service experience and was pushed into the damage waiver when I did not ever want it. I signed off that I DID NOT WANT TO BE CONTACTED BY ENTERPRISE CAR SALES AT ALL. Except yet I got MULTIPLE phone calls weekly on purpose just to harass me. I told them I wanted an immediate refund of my money and they kept trying to charge my debit card for a certain amount when they were not authorized. They took "$200" in one transaction then a few moments later tried for "$50" all within the hours of the night while I was sleeping. I really dislike enterprise corporation now cause they are some of the most in disguise prejudice people I've had to deal with and they use "Policies" and lies to cover their butts. Anyone with a little bit of tan or anything just do yourself a favor and do not go to enterprise even if your insurance is paying for it just go somewhere else it's much more worth it. Go elsewhere. Horrible. Called the night before to confirm they had my vehicle. Told me they located one but would need to go get it because it was an hour away. We confirmed that if there were any problems they would call me back that night. Next morning I show up and there are no cars in the lot. When I gave the sales rep my name and reservation information he informs me I will need to drive 30 mins to Franklin to get it. They only staff the office with one person so they can never leave and get vehicles from other offices. They only have what is rented and returned there--which is next to nothing. So I had to drive to go get my vehicle, which set me back a full hour. What's worse, the young salesman was clueless and seemed completely overwhelmed. I was the only one in the empty office and lot, yet it seemed as if it was his first day on the job. Once I get to Franklin, the car isn't even ready. I then had to wait for them to finish cleaning and disinfecting it. Never again! This branch should be closed down of they are just going to make you drive to another dealer anyway. read more

I've used this location to rent a car twice. The first time was three years ago under a friend's name (although I was a driver on the account). We were not offered to be picked up so we both went to pick up the vehicle. This was relatively quick and painless and since they would not be open when our other two drivers would join us to depart on our trip the next morning, we were told we could go to any location to add them (and we did that, but that's another experience since it's another location and not counted toward this review, but it, just for the record, was a painful hour long process that should have taken minutes so be forewarned if you're also doing this). Overall, the experience here at that time was satisfactory. We took two cars to returned since nobody offered to pick up the car either but, whatever, not a huge deal since I live down the street. Okay, now for my most recent experience. First, I want to say the staff is friendly and cheery pretty much throughout and it took a long time for me to actually feel dissatisfied because of this. I got in a car accident and my insurance handled the rental, well, the insurance chose the body shop and the body shop arranged the rental for me through my insurance. At the body shop I was told that since I had AAA I was getting an upgrade for my rental. Nice. The morning I was to pick up my rental, the body shop gave me a lift to Enterprise so there was really no need for them to pick me up. Upon arrival at about 8:20 for the car that was booked in advance with an 8am pickup time early the day before, I was told they were out of cars. Out. Of. Cars. No problem. They were on the way and it would be a few minutes (it was about 15). I had meetings in Boston. But I was fine. Staff was friendly and they were on the way. While I was waiting I mentioned the bit about the upgrade for AAA. I was told that wasn't true and that they had no idea what I was talking about. I mentioned the body shop and the person etc etc. Blank stare. I called the body shop myself and let them talk to each other. OH! Yes. It was already in there. It's an extra dollar amount so they didn't know. No problem. It was taken care of and he was friendly and the car (an SUV) was one of the ones on the way for sure. The guys who brought all the cars were friendly and fun and they filed in and they filed out and I was told my car was being quickly detailed and stickers removed etc because it was brand new and then I could be on my way. They gave me the keys and the Pathfinder still had the remants of the giant square sticker in the window (the edges but not the middle). "Well, you said you had a meeting." No. I said I wasn't going to be able to drive without being distracted with that there and they sent out someone with a razor and some Windex to clean it. No problem. It was getting done and they were friendly. We examined the car and removed more stickers. But I got a brand new car and they were friendly. We looked at the gas. A quarter of a tank. Now, I found this to be unacceptable and said so. I am expected to return with the same gas I am given and, if not, I have to pay per gallon at a huge premium for them to make it up. However, if I'm over, they do not pay me back. That was shrugged off, he didn't even offer to fill it at the station that was like a block away and sent me on my way. But I shrugged it off (even though, in the end, I returned it with HALF A TANK of gas). This car should have been delivered to be with a full tank and the expectation I return it with a full tank. But, overall, they were friendly and I had a car and whatever. The next day I was called by a manager to ask about my experience. At this point, I had noticed there was no inspection sticker in the car. I was given options. Get the inspection for them (billed to them, but a cost of my time) or go in to exchange the car that I just got settled in (also at a cost to my time). I agreed to get the inspection and was told I'd be emailed where to go etc etc since I couldn't go until the next day. I received no email. The next day I called and was given the information again over the phone and I went to get it inspected. I told the guys at the inspection place Enterprise said they'd do it quickly for me and they rolled their eyes and did their best. I was there for about 40 minutes. Still, after all this, I was not disgruntled. I returned the car to the body shop and they handled the return to Enterprise on Friday. On Saturday, I realized I left my sunglasses in the car and called Enterprise and left a voice mail. On Wednesday I called to followup and, although the woman on the phone was just as friendly in tone as always, I was told they probably handed called me back because they didn't get around to checking voicemail yet. I would like to put no star if possible. I booked the reservation from Expedia more than one month ago. That is for long travel during winter break. Two moms with 4 kids. I called the site immediately after booking and the day before picking up. Manager never mentioned that it was possible no car available. But when I went there together with another mom and was ready to pick it up in time, I was told that they could not contact me even there is email address posted. It was so bad because there was no car available nearby at that time. They helped to book a car almost one hour driving distance after we brought up the request. We failed to contact the new place(they also could not) for almost one hour. Because of that bad experience, we could not believe the car was available for picking up. At the end we drove our own two cars separately for our trip. For tens of years of car renting experience, this is the first time that I could not pick a booked rental car. I could not understand why a booked car could be disappear. For the worst case, if no car available to pickup, you should try all ways to contact us, we might be able to find a backup plan! The place is just thinking about how to make more money, I would never never come again. read more

we've received 5 loaner/rentals from this branch through our dealership and each have had issues. This location does not maintain their vehicles or clean them thoroughly. We even watched a staff person back up a car into the snow bank while being berated and insulted by the manager (Nick) and literally left standing in the cold for over an hour while this post college, inexperienced, employee completely mishandled the entire situation. Both we and the dealer notified them (Brenton) upon pick up two days earlier of this issue and he continued to delay us out in the cold with our toddler son in the car and my husband standing in the 17 degree weather. Not once did he offer for us to stay inside while the replacement vehicle (which was supposed to be ready earlier since it was ordered the day before with Brenton) be prepped because it was still dirty upon pickup. Enterprise still needs to educate and train the staff that they choose to hire and not place titles on college graduates since it is simply that, a title and they lack the experience on how to properly handle situations and remedy them appropriately versus accusing customers and giving them proper respect. We've placed a call to Enterprise and await a response from the district manager. read more

I had a car accident, after the report, I rented a car in Enterprise Rent-a-car at maple street - Marlborough. They lied to me!!! They offered me a small car. I have a big family so my car is a Nissan Rouge. I asked for a car comparable with my Nissan. They said that my insurance covers 30 dollars a day and they offered me a Dodge SUV and said that they were going to call within 48 hours if the insurance was not covering it. SO they never called back and at the end they charged me 14 dollars more per day for the car. For several times I asked if my insurance would cover. The staff member emphasized: IF YOUR INSURANCE DO NOT COVER, IN 48 HOURS WE WILL CALL YOU and you will not be charged. I paid 230 dollars and I am upset because they did nothing but lying to me. read more
