During my recently concluded trip to Baton Rouge, I rented a car from Enterprise out of MSY. The Van drivers and the folks at the lot were great and it was easily another 4 Star experience. However, I'm docking Enterprise a Star and involving things that are out of their direct control. My issue starts with the New Orleans Airport (MSY) that makes you walk all the way down to the rental car booth, then double back and across the road to the Transportation Center, and then expects you to figure out that the Shuttle Van is outside and further back. Who designed this maze? Then there's the "Soak the Visitors" pricing and the partial lack of transparency on whose hand is out collecting their "fee". As evidence, here's my rental car bill for your approval: Base Rental - $132.00 (A reasonable $33/Day) Customer Facility Charge - $24.80 AP Concession Fee Recovery - $14.67 Excise Tax - $5.14 Unknown Tax I (6.75%) - $11.57 Unknown Tax II (4.0%) - $6.86 TOTAL - $195.04 (or a 48% Tax on the Base Rental Cost) When I return (and regardless of whether it's Enterprise, Avis, etc.), it will be the same old sleeve job all over again. And just because Houston and other cities do the same thing doesn't make it right. read more

Enterprise is trash, came here to rent a vehicle and wouldn't accept my credit union debit card to put down a $50 deposit

The people were very friendly and helpful. They waited patiently while I chose the car I wanted and it was a pleasant experience.

Jeremy, was very informative/helpful with my rental process. I was originally renting for a few days but due to city events I had to change my reservation. I was told I might not be able to change vehicles being it was last minute even tho I was only changing the type of vehicle not date nor time. Jeremy stepped in, noticing there was a better way even tho I had to downgrade I didnt have to wait to get a different car. Everything worked out as if it was my original reservation. After being told that I would need to wait 3.5 hours after my reservation time to receive the car I had reserved at the Carrollton location, I decided I should call around myself to see if another Enterprise had a car I could use. I got in touch with Jeremy, the manager at this location, and he was the best!! He transferred my reservation over there and got me into the vehicle and on my way in a matter of minutes, EVEN after the Carrollton branch screwed up my reservation and then wouldn't answer their phone when he called them, making his job even harder. So thankful for Jeremy's abilities and great customer service-will definitely be going to this Enterprise from now on! read more

Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Look at this Color !!!! - Car Rental Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

There's so much to say, but I am way too annoyed to even type it. The main issue here was the car would take forever to start and the battery died (more than once leaving us stranded in extreme heat). Conveniently the battery died on the weekend so all the normal enterprises were closed. To top it off the headlight also went out. I called the customer service line and the man who did the transfer was very kind and helpful. He sent us to transfer the car at the airport where we were given three options: go get the battery fixed at a shop nearby, get one delivered, or wait over an hour to possibly get a car. We picked the delivery and had to call their roadside assistance to set it up. The man on the phone was entirely unhelpful, gave us false information, and kept denying us a delivery of a car. We're sitting in the enterprise lot presented with one piece of information while another man in a different country is giving us completely different information. He kept wanting to tell us our car was supposed to be turned in today when in reality we weren't supposed to turn it in for another 5 days (confirmed by the airport multiple times). He had the audacity to start giving me an attitude and telling me what I can/can't say. The enterprise at the airport was very kind and felt our frustrations. Since the delivery didn't work and we could not come back tomorrow, we decided to wait to get our car and just get the battery switched out nearby to which we were told multiple times they cannot find our car. How the hell do y'all lose a car...? Then we were told if they couldn't find our car they would just switch it out so we weren't stranded. Wouldn't you just give us a functioning car you had available to give us instead of giving us back the one that needs to be fixed....? It shouldn't have to be our responsibility to fix your car lol. My husband is military and has to be on base at a specific time and we were inching closer and closer to that mark. Can't take an uber on the base, which if we could it would be around $150. We drive to the recommended body shop and of course they only do tires, confused as to why we would be recommended a place when we have a battery issue. Car takes 20 mins to finally turn on. Drive to second shop, no battery. This review isn't worth my time anymore, but know to never EVER rent from enterprise unless you want to waste your entire day and have a raging headache. And it's not even like we had a choice because someone crashed into our park car leaving us forced to use enterprise from the insurance. read more

The process of renting a (pre reserved) car from the airport location was excruciating. Not only did we have to take a 20 minute shuttle from the airport to an offsite location, we then had to wait another 60++ minutes for our car....and then ended up with a vehicle we didn't order or want. Possible delays were due to the pandemic, but it sure looked like a lot of staff standing around while dozens of clients waited for their cars. Very unfortunate. read more

Initial service was great. Returned the car, because I only needed a rental over night and was told they would email me a receipt. I have no receipt and a hold on my account still after 5 days. Have tried to call to get into x contact with them EVERY single day since and NO ONE answers the phone. I am a legendary pain in the neck. Having plead guilty, (it's not a crime) here is the story. My car had been struck by lightning (go figure). The only vehicle I would accept was a convertable. This is the only time of year that it makes any sense. The guys at enterprise came thru not once but twice. That part of the story would take a chapter or two what an so lets skip it. This is my 1st experience using enterprise. This will definitely be my LAST time using them! They have the very WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.1st I had an accident and had to get a rental car, insurance set up with them, sent me confirmation code and said to pick up car next day. Sounds simple right? I go down next day and give them the code and they say "oh no that's just a code for them to call me to make a reservation! They don't have anything till the end of week". Did they offer to call other enterprises around to find me a car??? No,he was a complete ass and did nothing. I had to go to my car and call around to try and find one, no luck. The next day I call the 1-800 enterprise people to see why this was messed up and I give them the same code for the reservation again and she tells me that a car was being held and that I missed the pick up date!!!!! After I cleaned my brains off the ceiling from my head exploding...I explained how I did go up to the correct place and what that jerk of an agent told me and that no car was given.I was transferred to the store that I went to, I asked the girl on the phone to stay on the phone with me cause I just knew this manager guy was going to give a different story, she said she would and can you guess if she stayed on the phone with me??? No! Of course not! Of course she lied to me and just cold transferred! That seems to be the regular customer service for this company! So I speak with the manager and he doesn't seem to care at all how badly their people have been to me and he actually didn't seemed surprised at all ( that tells you everything right there!). I finally got them to pick me up at the mechanics to take me to get a car. I am not thrilled with the tiny car since I have a SUV, I'm scared to attempt to trade it for a bigger vehicle since I found out I will be having it longer then I thought I would.I tried calling to speak with someone, after 10 minutes of holding, I kid you not, the line got picked up and they hung up on me! My experience was met beyond my expectations! From the beginning when I was picked up from the auto repair shop to when I was given a ride home. I explained (more like stressing) to Katelyn the manager the reason I was there to drop off my car. I had some issues contacting the insurance company about extending the rental for another day because my car wasn't ready. She kindly said she would contact the insurance company for me to extend the rental another day and if they refused she would take care of it for me. Very dissatisfied with my encounter at this site. Reserved a mid-size vehicle and on arrival the process of having to detail personal travel information there was exhausting. After that the car provided had issues to where they of course had none left in stock leaving me to have to sit and wait for someone to return a car and then wait further for them to clean and transition it over for me to use. If you want a decent transaction I would NOT recommend this site at all. Be prepared for fumbles that will cause delay with no real recompense in order for your wasted time. read more

My rental car reeked of cigarette smoke and there were burn holes in the seats. Gum was stuck in the cup holders. Upon returning the car I was yelled at by one of the employees because I parked where they park the clean rentals. There was no sign posted saying "Clean Rentals Only." The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because one of the employees comped free one day rental for the next time. However, I will never use this location again. read more

It seems my fuel pump on my Chevy Silverado decided to give up the ghost on Thursday night. My buddy came and towed me home. The following morning I decided by the time I got to the Auto Parts store that would have the pump it would give me too little time to safely get the repair done. I decided to walk the few hundred feet from my home to the Enterprise car rental on Airline. I got there and the girl went through the different cars she had. They didn't have much in the midsized range so I opted to get the Chevy HHR(looks like a PT Cruiser) even though I am really not a fan of these cars but it had ample space if I had to haul some things. Overall the car performed well though I did notice some goofiness in the gas Gage. As per my fear my truck's fuel pump was NOT as straight forward a fix as it should have been., so I was glad to have rented the car. I kept it through the weekend and went to return it Monday morning back at the location I had gotten it from. Upon arrival I approached the counter and was assisted by a man that I did not at the time realize was the manager. We went outside and started walking around the car from the driver side of the car the rear. As we were walking around the manager stopped as he was about to head up the passenger side of the car. He backed up and said "you've got a dent there" We looked at it and I informed him that I had no idea how it got there. It was right around the size of a golf ball which is their threshold for damage. It was near the crease on the lift-gate to the right of the handle. This was the first time I had noticed it but I had only used the lift-gate twice during my rental. The manager asked me if I recalled anything happening and I said No..I did not. He said, "Let me check something out" and walked inside. I remained outside in the cold playing with the dent to see if I could get it to pop out. It may have improved a little or it may not but after about 5 minutes of my waiting the car cleaning guy came and sat in the car. I was a bit surprised because I was still not done discussing the dent and as far as I knew the manager had not completed the inspection. I became a bit angry at being left outside and went in and said "Is there a reason you left me outside in the cold".. The manger responded by saying "I said I was coming in and you chose to stay outside" I informed him that was not what he said.. he told me to lower my voice.Somewhere during our disagreement he told me "Don't tell me how to do my job!"(I guess the customer isn't even supposed to critique anything here.) I seemed unable to get him to examine the car further..but after a while we went to where the car was being cleaned and he said he would have his mobile repair unit look at it and see if they thought it needed to be repaired. I asked who the repair company was and when it would be checked. He said later that afternoon. I left and went home to put the finishing touches on my truck very displeased with the attitude the manger had exhibited. I ran to the Autozone which was right next to the Enterprise to grab something else for my truck and I noticed someone walking around the car I had just dropped off along with another rep from Enterprise. The gentleman got in the car and I walked over and knocked on the window. I asked if he was with the repair company..he looked at me confused.I asked if he was with Enterprise..same thing..I then said..Are you renting this car? He said Yes.I then asked if they showed him the dent on the liftgate.. He said No..I said that was funny as I just dropped the car off and they were going to charge me for the dent..I asked if he wanted to see it.He did.We stepped out and and he was a bit aghast because he had not seen the dent.We both stepped inside and talked to the manager..I asked why it was missed..the manager said he had not done the rental..I was a bit at a loss that they were going to rent the car out when I was told the car would be checked by the repair company. Also, I found it hard to imagine the other rep didnt know there was a dent after the original scene I made.. I mentioned I would bring it up with corporate and I was informed the regional manager happened to be there..I asked to speak with him. After being made to wait 30 minutes I left to go to work. I did research into this particular car and it seems that the dent in that area is caused from the normal closing of the liftgate as that is the most intuitive spot to push and there is no handle or other designated spot for closing. It also seems the metal is rather thin there and so prone to denting. It's considered by many to be a design flaw. The fact that this is a problem with the car design..and the fact that the other gentleman clearly missed this dent as did the rep even though she should have known about it proves I very well might not have been the one to dent it..especially considering I closed the hatch twice while having the car. My last experiences with Enterprise have been horrible and I will now be using other rental agencies. They were out of cars on three consecutive trips and made me wait for a car to be turned in. All three rentals were so nasty/dirty, I didn't want to drive them. The staff was not friendly or supportive and tried to debate the condition of the cars. Last straw for me. Usually their customer service is great in all locations but their care/upkeep of the vehicles is very poor everywhere. If you want a cheap, dirty car, Enterprise should be your vendor of choice. read more

I am a frequent renter at this location because of my work. The employees here are thoughtful, courteous, and aim to please. They work with me, and never hesitate to "go the extra mile." After I got off the plane the signs were quite clear on how to get to the car rental area. Is it a bit of a hike? Yes, but, big deal, it's an airport. I had set up my rental online and when I got to the counter I was checked in, shown my car, and given directions in less than five minutes. Seriously, plus they handed me a bottle of water. It was the same when I returned the car. I drove up and was met by a customer service rep with a handheld credit card processor. He took a quick look at the car and the gas tank and asked me how my trip was. Then he reviewed the costs and printed out my receipt and I was off... took about five minutes, tops. read more

Liked that you could walk here from the airport without having to take a shuttle. Person that gave us a car on a late Friday night around 10:30 PM was very nice, and asked what kind of car we wanted, and got this specific car for us from the neighboring car rental company! Much appreciated, as I am quite picky about the type of car, and this was the best part about it. I have had other car rental companies tell me they didn't have a certain type of car, and refuse to give it to me in order to upsell something else, until I pointed out that I saw it in their lot. We were also offered bottled water. At this time, their prices were also the most reasonable of the major brands at the airport. read more

I'm only giving this review due to the rental I got versus the weather. I got a Nissan Versa and it was windy as all get out and I had to keep both hands on the steering wheel anytime I was on the road with the rental because I got whipped all over the road. I also had an issue with the "trunk" of the car because I put my luggage in there and shut the "trunk" pretty dang hard and the "door is open light" kept coming on while I was traveling. I finally arrive at my destination, and I'll be damned, the "trunk" was open the whole time. WTF!!!!! read more

Don't know how anybody could leave less than a 5 star review for these guys unless they have revamped with the current team and canned a less efficient group of people. Or maybe a saw reviews that weren't for the Enterprise Rent-A-Car located at 3929 Airline Drive in Metairie, La. They made arrangements to pick me up right when I called, I didn't have to wait until they were either picking up or dropping off another customer in the area. They arrived within 15 minutes and we were treated like family right from the start. This location works like a well oiled machine, the Esprit de Corp is beyond belief ! Nobody shirks responsibility and it was obvious to the most casual observer each team member was concerned about providing excellent, quick, efficient customer service with a smile. I knew I was flying into MSY on a Wed...so on Monday I called and try to book a car, got online and tried to get one, and tried to book through my company...no luck said they had none available for a reservation and to try the day of. Well that is ridiculous so I called customer service since my company's choice is Enterprise. Customer service reassured me that they would get some more cars since they had three days . they said they would call me back...no call back. So the day I landed I stood in line for 45 mins just to be told they had no cars. The girl that told me they had no cars didn't say sorry , didn't ask me if she could call another location. So I asked her if she could call the other location for me....she stated she was busy. I rent from enterprise twice a week for my job since I travel 75% and personally once a month. I ended up just going to another company to get a car. I was appalled at how rude they were and the fact that they knew they had no cars available three days prior....I WILL NEVER RENT AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN!!!! read more

I'm rating this Enterprise at a 3, but it is really more like a 3.5. The staff was pleasant, but the prices were much more expensive than I had paid in the past at other Enterprise locations, and that was frustrating to me. They always try to upsell you, but this particular sales guy was more relentless than usual. Though that may have actually had more to do with my coworker who was really trying to convince me that we wanted the upgrade (work would not have been pleased). The cigarette lighter adapters either didn't work or my car charger was broken (I haven't tested it since I have been home), but our phones died, and we were then lost in the Louisiana bayous. Such is life I suppose. Seemed to be more related to the car than my adapter because I have recently used my adapter, but I cannot say for certain. Anyway, this Enterprise was the smallest I have been to, and it was, as someone else pointed out, difficult to navigate to. You have to find the little booth in the airport and then use intuition to figure out where to go to wait for the shuttle. They did not confirm my rental agreement as I left, which I have never seen before, but returning the car went smoothly, and the shuttle took us back with plenty of time to spare. My total for three days (11/08/11-11/11/11) with insurance was $422.72 on an economy car. read more

Not even worthy of one star. They are consistently rude and unhelpful. I recently rented a car that they are saying I bent the fiberglass under the bumper. They even submitted a totally ridiculous claim which was eventually dropped. If you rent here take a picture of the underneath of the car....Con artists!!!! read more

Don't rent from this Enterprise, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!! I'm only giving this review because I am very angry at the situation. I was in a rental due to my car was in the shop and my insurance goes through Enterprise. My car took longer than usual to fix and ultimately I had to start paying for the rental out of pocket. The representative supposingly a manager named Natalie B (which she didn't want to give me her last name but its on her badge) stated that since I was in the car for 60 days that I had to return the vehicle.(This was on a Wednesday). I explained that my car will be ready on Friday and I will pay the bill up until Friday. She then informed me through TEXT MESSAGE that she will report the car stolen and that that was UNACCEPTABLE at 7:55 am on Thursday. Who does this? Why are you talking to me like that? I am very upset that she thinks she has the right to do that. Now I question who else does she do that to???? I definitely reported her to corporate. This is HARASSMENT from a paying customer. You could at least show some gratitude knowing that my vehicle was still in the shop and I was paying out of pocket and on time every week. Very Poor customer service. read more

I had the worst experience and would not recommend anymore. When I arrived there, I was not greeted as I stood there waiting for someone to assist me. Then when I did get a representative (15 mins later or longer), I asked her what all I needed to be able to get a rental since the lady in front of me seemed to be having problems. The representative never answered because she was distracted by the customer next to me that was being difficult. So, I asked again and she said "Let me get your info". I give her my info and she asked multiple questions...after 8 mins or so, she then tells me that I need a utility bill. I WAS HEATED!! I was in a hurry and I asked when I first arrived what all do I need to be sure that I was prepared. Had I known what I needed when I first asked, I would have ran home to grab one or start working to pull up a utility account. Then I asked what cars was available and she never answered me until the very end...like had I known all you had available was SUVs and trucks, I would have went elsewhere, as I did not want to spend much on a last minute rental..just needed a small sedan. To top it off, I asked the representative about returning the vehicle as I knew it would be difficult to make it back to the location on Veterans and Williams in time. The rep told me that I can bring it anywhere that has a drop box. I said perfect, are there any extra fees? and she said no. Well....I was charged $75 for dropping the vehicle off at the airport Enterprise! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY FEES FOR DROPPING OFF MY RENTAL AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION! I am sure all that info is disclosed in their contract, BUT I asked a direct question that should have resulted in an answer like "There is only a $75 fee if you drop it off at our airport location"......Never again! read more

We rented a 15 passenger van to transport everyone to New Orleans. When we get there to pick up the van they let us know that we couldn't have the van cause they are on recall. Not one person tried to notified us, they even stated that no one even tried calling us to let us know not to drive all the way down. What kind of horrible management and customer service do Yall practice over there?... No seriously I would like an answer to that question. To me it seems like Yall don't give a dam. All you had to do is call us when you realized the vans were on recall. Can't say I'll be using these guys again. read more
