As a native New Yorker from Queens, NY I do not deal with businesses on long Island especially in Nassau County due to how businesses operate and how people move is a contrast of night a day but I decided to give this location a try and what a big mistake. I will tell and show you why..On March 2nd, 2023 I dropped my Suv off at the shop due to it needed a new intake manifold. I had my extended warranty company set up the rental since they cover up-to 7 days. I picked up my rental on March 3rd, 2023 from Matt Hall at this location. He offered me this awful 2023 white Toyota tacoma that drives like crap, the shifting is awful and Toyota just did a bad overall job..I called enterprise customer service number on 3/12/2023 to advise them that I would be returning the vehicle on 3/15/2023 in which I did but here to a Staten Island location to stay away from Matt due to his aggressive and harassing phone calls and voicemails like a naggy wife. The final straw from me was the voicemail I received from this boy today... First of all nobody tells me ever ""Hey Jonathan this is Matt calling from enterprise Rent-A-Car in Mineola just calling because we need to square away that outstanding balance to give us a call immediately 516-746-0505 thanks...". I don't know who the F*** Matt thinks he is to sit there and use words like we need and call immediately because I do not answer to enterprise and I sure do not answer to that b**** Matt. I spoke to enterprise customer service and they said the balance is zero and the statement reflects that as well I also reported his conduct as well. I made it crystal clear that if he continues to harass and badger me I will be filling a police report. I usually look forward to my family's yearly road trip but not this time . We also usually go to another location but they didn't have any cars available for the dates we needed. So we get to the place and my husband goes in to pick up the car . Now the other location we go to always gives us choices of nice big suvs and always ask for a credit card to keep on file until we return the car and we can then pay how we like . This location and a choice of two cars , one that stunk like cigarettes or one that smelled like body order .... So pissed about that . So my husband chooses the one with body Oder stank because we have kids and don't want them smelling like cigarettes. My husband hands him my credit card and the guy refuses it because it's not under his name (even though I was outside) and says we can not except that , we'll take debit . My husband tells him that's how we've always done it and the guy insists the other location is wrong . My husband and I come home and I inspect the car , as soon as I opened the back door I find a piece of bread on the door arm , candy on the seat , straw wrappers in the seat. So clearly this car was not cleaned properly , besides the horrible smell of body Oder there was garbage not cleaned out . You would think because there's still a virus going around that you would do a better job at cleaning and sanitizing your cars before renting them out . When we returned the car , the guy took the keys and said thanks have a good day . Doesn't even inspect the car before we leave . Then another guy says to a customer ok the car is almost ready for you . They probably didn't even vacuum or sanitize it for the next customer . I will never be going back to them , so disappointed! I had a minor accident in April where I was rear-ended. I finally decided to fix my car at the beginning of August. Geico (the other person's insurance) was paying for my rental car while my car was in the shop. I tried to get this all accomplished during my lunch hour, BIG mistake. I was picked up by a very nice woman and taken to this Enterprise location. I was informed that they didn't have any compact cars (that Geico would pay for) at that location, so I was ferried to the one in Hempstead. I got a fire-engine red Mazda 3 with manual window and manual mirrors. I didn't mind, and I went on my way back to work (this was after around an hour and a half). They swiped my debit card and charged $250 for the rental (in case I stole the car or something, so they explained), that would be refunded to me when I returned the car. When I went to return the car, I had the same amount of gas in the car as what I had recieved it with, but my full $250 was NOT refunded. I got the run-around and was told that Geico did not cover $2.50 a day on my rental because I was in an "Intermediate" car. I called BS on them, and called the Geico representative handling my claim. He called Enterprise and they had told him that I requested that specific car (which I never did). After 2 days of this, I was finally refunded the remainder of my $250. Enterprise may pull this bait and switch quite often to insurance customers to attempt to weasel them into paying extra for their car. read more

Stopped in at this location as my Ford Fusion airbag light had been turning on and off intermittently throughout my drive from Massachusetts. When asked if I could change out the car the branch manager quickly replied "don't worry about that, it is normal - airbag lights do that". When I explained that per the Ford Fusion maintenance manual this type of behavior was in fact not normal, she replied "let me see if I have a car". Scanning the lot, I saw at least ten cars, SUVs and mini-vans. The manager stated that she would have to go out into the lot and inspect the available cars; explaining to me that she 'wasn't going to take the hit' for cars that were deemed as 'damaged'. Further explaining that she wasn't comfortable giving me a car with damage as "a car in NY with damage may be ok - but when checked-in at a Massachusetts facility will be deemed not ok". Need-less-to-say, I decided to drive my original car back to Massachusetts with it's air bag light on. Nope, won't be stopping here again. read more

Service from booking the reservation to returning the rental car was excellent! Pricing was transparent, with no pressured 'up-sells' regarding insurance and other additional coverage options. Kerrie's knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy much appreciated from Day 1; this being followed up by Brad's consideration, taking into account I was buying/renting a car within a very short time frame. I've seen some mixed/negative reviews for this Enterprise location. While I certainly cannot speak to anyone's experience outside of my own, I would recommend at least reaching out Mineola Enterprise going forward (specifically to Kerrie and Brad). read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a rental car company. When I first booked it, I asked to be picked-up and they turned around and told me that they can't because I'm too far. Doesn't make sense since it was the closest facility based on my location. As a result, I had to get dropped off by someone. Upon arrival, I was the first one there (no other customer present), yet I still had to stand and wait. Seemed like employees didn't show up for their shit. Finally once I got my paperwork done, I was told that my car would be right out. At this time other customers have arrived, were served, place in their vehicles, and departed. I asked what's going on with my car and was told that the type of vehicle I reserved is being washed and prepped. Other customers reserved different vehicles that were already ready. After an hour wait, the vehicle was pulled to the front to be inspected. At that time, I told my rep to look at the vehicle, it's not washed. His reply was that it's clean inside. When we opened the door, it was absolutely FILTHY. So clearly the prep work was b.... I brought this to his attention and he said that I can wait longer if I wanted them to wash it. DON'T FALL FOR THIS PLACE-CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE Yet I thought this place was so different... I made a reservation three weeks in advance for their Chevy Tahoe because I needed to move some Rubbermaid Storage Containers. They were pretty large but with the seats folded down the Tahoe can handle it. I booked a one night stay at the hotel got to Enterprise they said to me, Sorry the Chevy Tahoe is not here and the Expedition we were going to swap you has a broken windshield can we give you a brand new GMC Acadia instead, I was annoyed they didn't have it but the Acadia is so beautiful I didn't complain much I said ok but I am going to make another reservation for the Chevy Tahoe because I know the Acadia will not do the job. This was on April 18th. Spoke with Joe the Manager there. Well I booked the Chevy Tahoe 6 weeks in advance before my vacation I was away in Canada for a few days the next day I was to pick up the Tahoe, Enterprise called me in Canada to confirm the reservation. I said to them yes I still want the Tahoe and I came inside the store twice to make sure the price was the same and I needed nothing additionally he said I was all set, good to go were his exact words. Then the day comes I get my friend to drop me off at Enterprise of Mineola, she says should I stay, I responded no because I don't see the truck but they will give me something suitable. She leaves I go inside and this young man says to me, we don't have the Tahoe I said WHAT, he said, no its not here and we were going to give you the Expedition but the windshield is broke, that is when I knew he was literally telling me a story that was made up .... I said to him you are the same man that did the once over on the Acadia in April he said oh yes it was me... I said ok and you know what, that was the same story I got in April about not getting the Tahoe... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what is going on here, and it doesn't take three months to fix a windshield. He says we can show you a Audi-Q7 we can give you to make up for not having the Tahoe... I said to him the Audi is beautiful but it can fit inside the Tahoe. But I was not going to let my Vacation go down the drain I said same price he said yes.... well the Audi is extreme luxury. They tried to put a hold on my CC for clost to 1000 dollars I said what are you doing he said they have higher holds for holidays. I said my return is June 30 there is no holiday, then he says its because you are taking it for four days I said, no that is not the reason either... so he spoke with Joe this same Manager I dealt with in April he comes back and says there is nothing else I can do for you. So I am screwed in other words. Well very upset as I was I contacted Corporate Headquarters they took my complaint had them call me while i was on vacation. I didnt want to get furious said to Joe the Manager I will talk to you when I return home. I called him just after the 4th of July holiday... He said he wanted to get MY UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT HAPPENED...I said to myself he is trying to make a mockery of me as if I am not intelligent enough to understand the facts it was not two different stories there was only one story ..... I did not get the Tahoe and I have paid so much in excess because of their non-caring ways. I am still annoyed that he acted so nice, like a car salesman of sorts while you make the deal but when they shaft you its more like .... Stand aside miss I have other patrons to attend to... Very upset with this location. Three phone calls only to be promised a email to apply for a refund. I was sent there from my coliseum company my insurance company was covering $9.00 a day the salesm I was dealing with was aware of this. I am 5'11 inches tall the only car available was a Mini Cooper I was not happy however that was the only car available. I was told no additional charge. A month later and my credit card was charged $537.47 still waiting for a resolution. read more

Unbelievable service and courtesy. Stopped by 20 minutes before closing hoping to arrange a rental with pickup for the next morning. I was looking to get the $9.99/day weekend rental rate bc i didnt know how long my car would be in the shop. They dont participate in this promo, but they understood money was tight. They provided me with rental under a different weekend promo and started it that night so i didnt have come back in the morning before work. This included following me in my own car over to my shop to drop it off and taking me back to their location to finish the ppwk. These lovely guys stayed until 630 - 645... way after hours just to help me. Again, they are unbelievable! read more

Enterprise has a sign on their door saying that they can drop you off. I asked to be dropped off at a location 9 miles away and the person working said since they will be passing two enterprises on the way that they can't drop me off. So I asked if I can drop off my rental at one of those locations and he said for a charge of $50. Just doesn't make sense to me. Probably the worst company I have used and will never use them again. What a scam! My husband and I rented a car from them - we pointed out scuffs on the car to the employees, bought insurance, then took the car. When we brought the car back, one of the employees spotted a "new" "dent" on the car. (My husband and I WALK to the train during the week and had parked the car in a fenced-in parking lot, in the last space between the fence and my husband's black car. The "dent" was white.) They made us SIGN paperwork and said that if we don't sign the paperwork that "they'll" "come after us." SCAM. I'll never go there again!!! read more

My car was rear ended so we made a reservation with Enterprise in Mineola for a rental car for approximately a week. We drove our car to a nearby auto shop, and waited for Enterprise's pick up dude to get us. We were told that he would be at the auto shop in ten minutes. After 40 minutes, I called again to find out where the pick up guy was, and the woman at Enterprise that answered the phone asked me if I needed to be picked up. I said yes, that I had called 40 minutes ago for that very reason, and she said that the pick up guy should be back at Enterprise in "two minutes" and then she'd send him to me. Fifteen more minutes pass, and the auto shop guy decides to drive me and my two young children to Enterprise himself. My kids and I walk into Enterprise and are greeted by Stacy, the manager, with a huge attitude. She slowly walks in from the side room, and asks me if I'm there to rent a car. Um, why else would I be at Enterprise Rent a Car? I explain to her that I had been waiting for the pick up guy for over 45 minutes and she flippantly replied that her pick up guy had just picked up "20 other people." I thought that was strange since there was absolutely no one in the rental place, and found it hard to believe that she was able to help 20 people in a matter of 45 minutes. Which I explained to her. She then sighed and said she needed my credit card and license. She told me that she was going to use my credit card to hold a $250 deposit, but I had been there before and knew that in actuality, they charge your card and then refund you when you bring the car back. Which I also explained to her. She told me I was wrong. She continued to argue with me in an incredibly rude and condescending manner. I told her to just rent me the car and to stop the commentary, that I just wanted to get the car that I had reserved and leave. She then went back into the side room and some other woman came out and said, hi, did we just drop you off? And I said, no, you didn't just drop me off, I waited for 45 minutes for you guys to pick me up and no one showed up. She said, oh, I'm sorry, the pick up person had a couple of other people he had to pick up. I said, oh, I heard it was 20 people. The manager comes swooping out of the side room yelling, EXCUSE ME EXCUSE ME, do not speak to her like that, I told you that we were busy. Shrieking like a lunatic. I asked her to go back into the side room so that I could finish with the more pleasant person. Then the manager, Stacy, said, you know what? I don't feel like renting you a car today. And she starts deleting stuff from the keyboard. I said, you are going to strand me here with my two kids? And she said yes. So I had to get a car service to take me to another rental car place to rent a car from normal people who don't lie and have snippy snotty attitudes to their customers.
