I got there early (2/23/23) when they opened and was greeted by Nathan. He understood I was in a hurry and did a fine job of gettin me my rental in a timely matter. And when I brought my car back for return, I was greeted by Ivan (2/25/23) When i walked in the office, i could tell they were swamped. People returning their cars and people at the last minute trying to rent a car. I came here when I needed a rental car while my car was being fixed at the Auto Shop Alexis was super sweet and helped me there was another gentlemen with her there that day and I hate that I can't remember his name but he was was also super helpful. I ended up having to have the car for about 3 weeks and every time I had to call and push the date out they were super nice and quick when updating my return date and time. I ended up having to switch cars out during the three weeks I had to rent from the because the other car I had was due for service and even that process wasn't long. I waited an hour, after a reservation, and I tried to be understanding but absolutely no one could give me a wait time. Not even a soft estimate. The girls behind the counter were nice, but they just seemed unable to concentrate. I heard about the interviews they all had in the morning, I heard badmouthing of other branches and I heard about a girl going on vacation. But absolutely no update on the status of my rental. Why tell people to be at your location at a specific time if you don't have rentals available? More customers came in after me with reservations and were told they didn't have cars on the lot. I ordered a car rental from hotwire.com, 1 hr later arrived at enterprise to pick up the car (paid $15 for Lyft to get here) and was informed that they have NO CARS available for rent. A car rental service has no cars for rent?! Really?! Never had this happen before. Have to pay another $15 to get home (6 miles away) because not only do they not have cars for rent but they also won't give me a ride home. I counted 6 people on duty. We had previously booked with another company and when we showed up to pick up our rental car we were told that they didn't have a car for us even though we booked a week prior that it was a holiday! Update: I just returned the car and Corinna was able to work with me in regards to the rental. She should be the manager 5 stars for Corinna. 0 stars for Sandra. I rented a mini van from this location and received a mini van that had issues. While on the road the check engine light lit up and the car was shaking intermittently, pretty nerve wrecking during a road trip from So Cal to Nor Cal. Thank goodness we made it to our destination with that turd of a van. This is when things go bad, I called the local office from which I rented the van from. First spoke with a rep from the office, they had no idea what to do. Spoke with the manager of that office and she just redirected me to roadside. The Sandra the manager couldn't care less, I told her current location and she stated that she couldn't find an enterprise office in current location, how is it that I can find a location close to me by my phone and your corporate system cannot. SMH. I told the manager about the situation and just handed me off to roadside to take care of the issues in which they couldn't even do. First call to roadside was as follows, yea just go to any enterprise near you and they will give you another van, WRONG! Called another office and they stated no thats now how it works and told me to call roadside again. Called roadside again this time they did the job half way. They put me down for a standard SUV instead of a mini van. I was hauling around 6 people how do you expect me to fit everyone in a standard SUV? WRONG again. I called another office and they were able to help me out. At this point I wasn't even sure if I was going to get the van at the other location. Thank goodness they had it when I arrived. This location especially the manager needs to work on caring about their customers and their situations when it comes to car rentals. I rented a fullsize SUV on 8/22/2018 for 8/31/2018 to 9/3/2018. On 8/31/2018 I called Enterprise Montclair location early morning to verify my reservation, but they told me there's no fullsize SUV available. So, I called orbitz and waited for over 1 hour to get another car from Enterprise Covina location. When I arrived to Covina Enterprise, I waited there for 40mins until they called my name. The only thing they told me is they have no vehicle available for me. Because of this, I have to called uber home since I have no car to ride and it costed me lots of time and money. As soon as I got back to the hotel, I called enterprise again and told them about all these problems and I have to go on a trip with another 6 people including small children. I have to extend my hotel stay which costed me another $500 dollar all because of this. After talking on the phone for over hours, they told me Covina Enterprise will have another fullsize SUV available on 9/1/2018 9am. on 9/1/2018, I called a taxi and got to Covina Enterprise and they still don't have a 7 seaters car available for me. After all these, I have to cancel my trip with children and took them home one by one, which costed me another $400. This is the worst experience, I will like to get a compensation due to all these frustrations, time wasting, and money. According to consumer protection law dealing with unfulfilled reservation by rental car, the company will be subject to a $500 fine. I wish I would have listened to the reviews and never come to this place. I had one alright experience with them in the past but this last time was horrible. I made a reservation online but clearly that means nothing to them and when I got there, I was told they had no car for me and that I shouldn't have come this late because they were closing soon. And that is the exact attitude i received. So somehow a car magically appeared and someone came back and got me. Since I was desperate and pressed for time I accepted it but I wish I would have just kept walking. I was rushed through the check out process and on my way I went with their car. They took a $200 deposit which I knew would become an issue. Then come return time, I only had their car for two days. It was an after hours return to I parked the car on their lot and dropped the keys in a return box. It's been two weeks since then and I've never received any contact that they received their car , no call back from my attempts, and I still haven't received my deposit back. Reserved a 15 passenger van to take a group of teens to see the play Hamilton. 2 days prior to rental date I was called and was told my reservation was canceled because the renter of the van reserved for me had extended their rental; therefore the van would not be available for me. I called many rental companies in a panic to get a replacement, but was unsuccessful. I lost hundreds of dollars for the prepaid play tickets, but what was even worse was not being able to take the teens to the play. Very generic and untruthful response. I was told that the previous rental was allowed to be extended because Enterprise's policy is to allow an up to 30 day extension on rentals. That makes absolutely no sense. Why even take reservations then???? Bottom line is i lost a bunch if monet and disappointed a bunch of kids. Thar lame a$$ generic apology means absolutely nothing. if you want to make it right give me the money back that I paid for the play tickets! Apparently I should have read the reviews on Trust Pilot....this seems to be an ongoing issue that the company cares nothing about. The man that called, said that they are sorry but the online system doesn't know what truck is in/out....... Although he apologized, it doesn't make up for the fact that their system is flawed. If you really need an appointment, and you don't want it to be cancelled like it was for me, then just make a reservation elsewhere. I called the local Budget Truck rental and found a truck along with that being $48 cheaper than Enterprise. Thank you for cancelling my appointment after confirming it online. had a confirmed reservation for a cargo van for the weekend (Saturday-Sunday) I only needed it for 1 day but they are closed on Sunday so I had to take it for 2 days. Upon talking to the rental agent at the truck and van rental counter he advised me that they had no vehicle for me and basically sent me to the front counter where they rent cars stating it was there screw up. The front counter agents did everything they possibly could to help me even though I had rented a van not a car. Eventually they came up with a mini van. I was reluctant to take it as this meant I would now have to make several trips, but due to the pouring rain I agreed. We'll the sofa I was moving did take 3 trips and the corner piece just wouldn't fit at all. This meant I would need to take a day off work during the week when it wasn't raining to move it. So to make this as brief as possible, what should have been a 1 day rental at $59. Turned into 2 days plus missing a day of work and ended up costing me $500. I contacted customer service, never received a call back. A future upgrade or a discount on my next rental would have been nice, at the very least a call back from customer service. Nothing. I will never use Enterprise again. I had a confirmed reservation, this was not my fault, 100% Enterprises fault. Thanks for nothing Enterprise. Since posting my review on there site I was contacted by someone who claimed to be an owner, asked me for my confirmation number as well as a copy of my rental agreement which I emailed to him. That was 8 days ago. Never heard back. Let this be a warning to anyone thinking about using Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Your better off going somewhere else. read more
