It's been years since I needed to rent a car, but I recently decided to go with Enterprise in Upland. We required an all-wheel-drive SUV for a week-long trip out of state, as we weren't sure about snow conditions. I placed the reservation about two weeks in advance, and they provided us with a fantastic price. I learned that Enterprise is the only rental car agency that offers all-wheel-drive SUVs. When the day came to pick up the car, I was pleased to find it was a new SUV with only 36,000 miles on it. It still had that new car smell and was very clean and spacious. We had a wonderful week-long trip without any issues, enjoying a comfortable ride throughout. Returning the car was just as easy as picking it up. Our experience with Enterprise was extremely disappointing. The first rental car smelled strongly like smoke and only had 1/4 tank of gas when we picked it up. When we returned it to swap for another vehicle, we left the car with a full tank and were told we would receive credit for the gas. That credit never happened despite being told several times they would "take care of it." In reality, they literally ended up keeping the gas we paid for. When the auto body shop later decided not to cover the rental, the area manager, Alonzo, suddenly started blowing up my wife's phone saying we needed to pay nearly $2,000 immediately and even mentioned reporting the car stolen if it wasn't handled right away. It's pretty ironic how quickly they were willing to accuse customers of something like that, yet something as simple as crediting the tank of gas we paid for was never resolved. Once the bill was paid, communication completely stopped. There's honestly a lot more that went wrong, but this would turn into a novel. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else. read more

Asked to be called when car arrived, never happened. Called Enterprise 800 number to complain, was assured the Regional manager would call me to address concerns, never received a call back. First problem, Enterprise does not list cost of rentals on their site. Second, a robot asks many questions before putting you through to a rep. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an extremely distressing and unprofessional experience I had at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Upland, California location on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. On that day, I was involved in a serious freeway accident in which my vehicle was totaled, and I sustained a lumbar spine fracture that requires surgery. My physician instructed me to see him urgently, and my Farmers Insurance adjuster made a reservation for a rental vehicle at your Upland location so I could travel to my medical appointment. When I arrived, I was in significant pain and wearing a heavy back brace. Because I could not sit upright, I leaned carefully on the lounge sofa while waiting. Unfortunately, I observed several employees giggling and whispering as they watched me, which made me feel humiliated and disrespected. After about 20 minutes, an employee named Anthony Lulo approached me and asked, "So what made you come over here?" -- again laughing as he spoke. I calmly provided my reservation number and explained that my adjuster had confirmed the booking for that day. Mr. Lulo responded, "Your adjuster made a mistake -- the reservation is for next Monday." I immediately rechecked with my adjuster, who confirmed in writing that the reservation was for that same day. When I returned to clarify, Mr. Lulo changed his story and said there were no cars available, telling me to "check back later" and accusing me of yelling when I calmly asked him not to lie to customers. Despite visiting multiple Enterprise locations in Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, and Ontario, I was told no cars were available anywhere. I had to pay for an Uber to reach my physician's office for an urgent appointment. Later, my Farmers Insurance adjuster informed me that Enterprise had blacklisted me nationwide based on false claims made by Mr. Lulo. I was shocked and deeply disappointed. Ultimately, I rented a vehicle through Costco Hertz, where I received prompt, respectful, and professional service -- the complete opposite of what I experienced at Enterprise. This entire situation has caused unnecessary physical stress, emotional embarrassment, and logistical hardship at a time when I am already struggling with a serious injury. read more

Returned a SUV on Monday 3/10/2025, and when I dropped it off the lady handling my return went out to inspect the car and take gas readings. I was given the all clear that everything was good to go. So I left and got a call 45 minutes later that now the car suddenly has damages and the back window was shattered and they want to blame me. The kicker is they also are claiming I returned the car with all my windows down when i had them all up because this past weekend was cold and raining. So now we are playing games and we will see how we go from here. But Just posting this so everyone BEWARE! I would not be surprised if the lady handling my returns lowered the windows and slammed the door looking at the car. I would make sure you do a post inspection with them and take photos AFTER the return so they do not try and come after you over something petty. I am pretty sure someone broke the window during cleaning and don't want to own up to their mishap. I would avoid this location if you can, or maybe avoid Enterprise if this is how they want to handle things. How can you give someone the all clear and close out a rental then try to claim damages, that is SHADY. read more

I am a retired disabled veteran that lives alone. I dropped off a rental car this morning expecting a ride home , I'm about 4 miles away from the drop off location. I turned the car in and asked about a ride back home I was told it's the weekend we don't provide drop offs on Saturdays, I told then I had no other ride and no way home except to walk was that your expectation quote "that's not our problem " I had just set up the car return a couple days before and it was never mentioned that I would need to find my own way home. I am a diabetic and I had no water only the comfort in their words of it's not our problem. read more

I'm so grateful I was referred to Enterprise Rent-A-Car when I was getting my car repaired... They picked me up and even dropped me off when I turned in my rental car... The process in renting the car and returning it was very easy and fast. At the time of renting my car, they put me in a car that I was very pleased with even though I thought I wasn't going to be able to get a nice car. When I turned in my rental car today, Vanessa helped me out and she was such a professional and nice young lady who even told me Enterprise sells cars too, if I'm interested in purchasing a car. Absolutely disappointing . Check the website for a van . Needed to pick up a relative in a wheelchair and I knew I could not lift her - so the van , which sits low was perfect . Only needed it for a few hours . Spoke to customer and the made reservation . Person called and stated they don't have 7 passenger , but have 5 passenger . I stated , it has to be low to ground and hold a wheelchair . Told no problem . Arrive before appointment - greeted and quickly called to counter . I thought great this will be easy - wrong ! I've been to this location twice now in the span of a couple weeks. The first time we were getting a rental car to go to the desert for our anniversary and I booked a Jeep Wrangler. Unfortunately when we got there they don't have that vehicle and I don't think we would ever be able to get one. They looked into other locations and tried getting us something similar, but options were lacking. We were however given a nice Audi Q3 since there was nothing else available. It was a nice car for sure and the AC worked which was a big thing for us going in 120 degree heat. It does get busy here on Fridays and Mondays which I learned coming on a Monday to do another rental recently since I had to leave my car at the dealership overnight. I needed a car to get to work and booked something simple. Since they were swamped there was not much option unless I felt like waiting. I really didn't and spent the extra $10 for a Toyota Rav4. The car itself was decent, but whoever rented it before damaged the floor mat and there was a cigarette smell. The price is pretty steep for a one day rental, over $100 with their insurance added. You can always add your own insurance if you decide not to go with theirs, but the fine print is insane, so not worth risking it in my opinion. I really wish they had better pricing. I'm giving 5 stars because we received nothing but kind and amazing service from everyone at this location and the location itself is very convenient. They do have more car options than Budget in Rancho and just a friendlier vibe here. read more

I had my insurance switch me over to this enterprise because I had a very nice experience with Jonathon and David and I come today and whoever the ginger is at the front needs to learn to talk to people NEVER coming here again and definitely neither should you. They couldn't give me a car of same value as mine??? Because I'm 23??? Loose your fucken attitude and learn to talk to people. DO NOT COME HERE. Another Smooth rental at enterprise at Foothill Upland Location, after trying out Hetez and Budget Avis , I found the people at Enterprise helpful with rentals, super smooth experience over the phone or in person the other places don't want to help you unless you show up at their location and you end up spending hours cutting through the red tape, this morning after returning my rental , Stephen went beyond and find me a way to get back to my house, even though they were short on staff today. It's always great to see the employees. They're very cheerful and helpful. I've been coming here since the beginning of the year and will continue to rent from them this whole year. The convenience of renting over Uber or Lyft the cost is better than being picked up. At this point I would rather rent a car again thanks Stephen for your help this morning. The mini van I picked up was 5 hours late for pick up. Ok. That's not the locations problem but when I picked it up they told me they would not charge for the day moving the rental to a 5 day rental instead of 6 for the weekly rate. That's not really anything because you know they charged the other person another day rental and a late return fee, right!?!? The van - omg, not a panel or surface without a ding, dent, scratch or scuff. It was embarrassing to drive. They didn't credit the day and when I returned it their system was as down so they could only return the vehicle. We left late on our trip. We paid full price. The vehicle was trashed. Nope. While having my worked on at the body shop, I needed to rent another vehicle so I could still get around and was referred to Enterprise Rent a Car in Upland. The process of securing the vehicle was fairly easy and a very nice girl named Gina was a big help to me. I didn't want anything fancy, just something to get to and from work. The vehicle nice, but the was job was horrible. Returning the vehicle didn't really take that long with Melissa assisting me. They did drove me back to the body shop which was only a couple of miles away. Overall, not a bad place to rent but their hours are only Mon - Friday 8 am - 5 pm so if it is a weekend, you are out of luck here. read more

Wish I could give a negative 100 star review. This is my second time utilizing the location and I promise to never do it again. Had to get a rental because someone ran a red light and crashed into me. I wanted to get a rental that would be mostly covered through my insurance and settled on a car that I was told would be $5 a day out pocket. Well this car that smelled like smoke, had cigarette burns in the seat and wasn't washed or wiped down in the inside ended up costing me over $100 out of pocket for about a week. They lie and take advantage of people when you're going through such a stressful time and just trying to focus on being alive and well. This weekend we rented a Yukon, XL and both employees. Anita and Joseph were outstanding. Their facility had no working phones and their computers were down but each of them had a smile on their face and helped customers as best they could. They were five or six customers in the shop at the same time in each was held in a timely manner with a smile and professional courtesy. My experience was outstanding, and Anita and Joseph made it possible for me to rent my car and get on the road very quickly job well. read more

Ontario airport location: For their employee Daniel 5 stars. I left with a smile on my face. He worked with me and my grandson to get us with the right vehicle for us. Zero stars for the young woman working the front desk who said they had no cars and sent us to Avis and hertz. While standing in line at Hertz my grandson went on line and made a reservation with enterprise. So back we went to their counter. Young woman said they only had Audi available. So we agreed to rent an Audi. But when we got to lot Daniel showed us Camry, Altima, charger and a Nissan. Thank goodness for Daniel. read more

Be warned! They will cheat and overcharge you. I rented a car on Monday shortly before 5 pm and returned it shortly before 5 pm on Friday. So I had the car for 4 actual days! Well, because the rental was on 5 calendar days and I picked it up after 12 noon, it's considered a 5-day rental. They tried to justify it by saying that my insurance is paying for most of the cost of the rental anyway. But that's not the point. It shouldn't matter who's paying for it. What kind of scam is that? What kind of unfair business practice is that? You should only be charged for actual days rented. If you want returning customers, please stop this. I may consider reporting this to Better Business Bureau. At the very least, I'll tell everyone I know not to rent from Enterprise. Additionally, when I picked up the car, the person marked on the paperwork that the gas tank was 5/8 full. Well, he read the "empty to full" on the fuel gauge backward. It was actually more like 3/8 full. So I had to take a picture and send it to them to correct their error. Just another way for them to cheat you out of your money. read more

Disclaimer:I've used this rental company through my insurance when I've been in an accident before and have not had a problem--until today. Whenever we've needed a car through our auto insurance, this place was very convenient, it was close to the repair shop and would pick up and drop off. I had the same situation today and they attempted to bait and switch me into getting a more expensive car which was higher than my insurance allows. Just to make sure what the guy was saying was true, I called my insurance carrier. The agent taking care of me then followed me and was listening in on my conversation. I told him I wasn't going to do anything until I cleared up with my insurance. So I walk away. The manager comes after me and asks what's wrong. I told him I'm not paying for anything that my insurance doesn't allow and that's that. When I asked why they were giving me a car that was above my allowance he said something about higher prices all over and that my insurance knows about it. When I called my insurance company, he explained that $35 a day was the max and the car company was obligated to not go any higher. And, if they didn't have a car available, they were also required to get one for me. The raise in prices he claimed my insurance allowed was complete fiction. Later, when I touched base with my insurance agent and she set me up with another company and will pick up the car tomorrow. No hassle, no upsell, no games. I'm really disappointed because I've never had that problem with Enterprise. If you have a rental allowance with your insurance, beware. And don't let them talk you into anything. I won't be using the Upland shop anymore, nor will I recommend it in the future. read more
