We rented a "standard" car for a couple days. What we got was a Corolla with 50k miles that smelled like wet dog, had dents and dings throughout, and an inside hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. We had it good though. The young lady who turned hers in had a "standard" suv that turned out to be a Mitsubishi Eclipse with 225k miles and the same interior as ours. Another couple turning in theirs had a Corolla with over 50k miles with what appeared to be vomit all over the interior roof. If you are looking to rent a car in downtown Nashville, look elsewhere. I hate doing this because the staff was wonderful. However, everyone needs to be aware that the practices of the company put me thousands of dollars in debt, and, unfortunately, I was working with this location. I was in a car accident and when I rented the car, I opted for the extra insurance coverage which I paid out of pocket. My car took way longer to fix and the enterprise location called to ask if I wanted to extend my rental. I needed the car and was told the rental would be the rate the insurance company paid ($22ish/day) out of pocket. I took extra shifts at work and was prepared to cover the cost of the rental. THERE WAS NO MENTION ON THE PHONE CALL ABOUT CONTINUING THE ADDITIONAL COVERAGE. I didn't find out that the additional coverage until I returned the car. The additional coverage was as much as the car rental itself and my bill was thousands of dollars more than I anticipated. The manager was out of town for the holidays, but when we spoke he was helpful. But couldn't do more, he suggested I speak to his boss. I reached out to him but never heard back. I called the billing department and never heard back. I disputed the claim with my bank, but enterprise simply shrugged and placed the blame back on me. I was never trying to dispute the cost of the rental, I had prepared for that. But the practice of extending insurance coverage without mention has had a severe impact on my financial situation. I work in public education and am a student. Thousands of dollars for extended insurance coverage is barely a drop in the bucket for this company, but it has had a devastating impact on me and my family. Please be careful!!!! read more

I would give this place negative stars if that was an option. MY CAR WAS SHOT UP LEAVING IT IN THIS PARKING LOT. LITERALLY, SHOT. I left it here for a few days while I rented a car after the enterprise man assured me it would be fine in their parking lot. When I came to drop the rental car off and pick it up, my back window was shattered and there were BULLET holes in my window and door. I was completely shocked and went in to tell LIZ the "manager," to which she responded, "I didn't hear any shots fired and I usually stay here pretty late." WHAT?! Do you sleep here Liz? NO, you don't. That is not what you say to a customer who you reassured that their vehicle would be fine. She then proceeded to tell me there was nothing she could do and didn't even seem phased that my car had literally been shot. She was extremely rude about the whole situation and never once even apologized. I then called enterprise "customer service" to which I was told a regional manager would call me back. Their regional manager called me back and basically LAUGHED through my entire complaint, agreed with rude Liz was and said they could give me one day free ($30). He also told me if I park my car in the McDonalds parking lot, it's not McDonalds fault. That was that. Worst "customer service" I have ever received. I have walked away from this horrible experience with a car full of bullet holes that my insurance won't cover and one free day of car rental that is now necessary since my car is no longer drivable. I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt but this place is not somewhere I will continue renting from. When my husband picked up the car he was told he had rewards that would be applied to the rental. Great, a discount, we didn't even know we were reward members. The final bill never reflected this, I wait a few weeks to see if there was some type of credit that would be issued back, but no. I called, waited to speak with Tara (I have spoken with her before) and was hung up on after 20 minutes. I called right back and luckily she answered. I explained my problem. She did not help. They can't see our rewards, there's a number they have to call to apply them, etc. Did she offer that number or offer to look into it? No. So we didn't know we had rewards. Employee said we did and they would be applied to this rental. Tara says that's not how it works but did not offer to help look into the matter and was as helpful and insightful as talking to a wall. Here's what you should have said, "Oh, wow. I'm sorry about that. We can't actually see what rewards are due. Let me call the phone number for rewards to see if you guys have any." or "thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll make sure the team knows how to talk about the rewards program. Here's the rewards program's phone number if you want to see what you and your husband have...." This isn't the first time we've rented here but it is definitely the last, Tara. Side note: I left my Xanax in the rental car. I know where I left it because I usually don't travel with the bottle but did for specific reason one day. I left it in the compartment between the front seats (because I didn't want it rattling in my laptop bag when I walked into a meeting and didn't want it exposed in a parked car). Of course when I called it wasn't in either of the lost and founds and no one had seen it. I knew it would be a major score for whoever found it but thought MAYBE since it had my name and address and a lot of pills in it, it would be returned, because who wouldn't come looking for their newly refilled bottle of Xanax. Then I was told the car had been rented out but they flagged the car so as soon as it was returned they would look for it and contact me. Did they contact me? No. This place is the worst and the people don't seem to care about you at all. This location has left me feeling taken advantaged of and ripped off. read more

Called company, they said go to this location to ASAP out fir a new car because the airport location was out of cars. Upon arrival here, I learned they too had no cars. Ok to make things clear I picked up the vehicle at the Enterprise at 1360 Bardstown Rd, in Louisville, Kentucky. I checked in at my drop off location. Highly disappointed in the car we received. It was a Jeep Compass, said to be a mid size SUV (which I thought I was renting) on the Enterprise website, really?!! We tinkered all the way over to Nashville in it. I complained when we picked it up and again when we dropped it off in Nashville. You would think I would have been offered some type of credit. After calling to complain about the size I went online to see what size of SUV it most readily comes up as and... sure enough it is mostly listed as a compact SUV! Most notably this can be seen on Ranker.com. Enterprise, I believe you are stretching things here, a lot. This Jeep is tiny, ok Enterprised lesson learned here. Next time I will consider booking with another company that catorgorizes their vehicles in a more honest and clear way. This Enterprise is THE BEST car rental I have ever worked with. I work with rental car agencies daily in my career in private aviation so my compliment is based on experience. This was a rental thru my insurance company and it was absolutely SEAMLESS! They picked me up at the collision center and the nicest man, Nomdi, got me set up and out the door. He was very courteous and professional. I had the vehicle for longer than planned and Enterprise was accommodating without issue. The day after I dropped the vehicle back at the collision center, Kim called to give me a cheerful THANK YOU and the small amount I was being charged for taxes. The truck was clean inside and out which is more often not the case with Enterprise. Management at this location is clearly doing it right because the choice in employees is stellar! We stayed at an air bnb next door and could see how hard they were working in less than optimal conditions. We had multiple flights get canceled so decided to rent a car to drive home. Strengths: Incredibly friendly staff. Easy to get in and out. The pick up and delivery service is great. Opportunities: Many times their selection is low. You reserve a sedan only to find out all they have is a minivan or an SUV. While that may be convenient for some, that can lead to increased gas usage which may cost more in the long run. Also many times when I reserve a car, the car only has an eighth of a tank left. This means I have to fill out almost immediately after picking up the car. Summary: This is a great place to do business. Just be prepared to fill up your car right after picking it up. Budget that time so it doesn't affect your schedule. read more

For my last month in Nashville, my husband rented a car for my use, while he drove his car across country. The day we showed up to get the car, there was a tiny wait. The process to get the car went smoothly. And I am glad to say that the process to return the car went smoothly, as well. I am disappointed that they don't offer rides back to the airport, but they do provide transport within the downtown area. I am used to taking public transportation, so the woman who drove me to the central bus station was very nice and patient about trying to find it, since I have no sense of direction. read more

- ALL OTHER DOWNTOWN LOCATIONS HAVE CLOSED - THIS IS THE NEW LOCATION My experience wasn't 100% positive, but it wasn't really all their fault. They recently condensed their businesses to one spot in the south side of downtown, and I'm sure it's no doubt been a hectic transition. I was staying with a friend in East Nashville and needed to rent a car from the downtown location, so I would be able to drop the are car off in downtown when I left. I was taking a greyhound bus in 2 days and thought that would be the smartest move to make. So I was running late to pick up the car and missed the bus to downtown. I called to ask for a ride, but they don't normally go out that far. They suggested I rent from the Enterprise on Donaldson Pike, which was definitely closer to my current location. They told me that no matter what location you rent from, you can return the car to any Enterprise lot later. This is pretty helpful to know for next time. Anyway the Donaldson Pike location was completely out of cars. I called the downtown location to tell them, and they said to not worry because they also had no cars and were transporting some to their location at that moment. So I jumped on a bus. The 20 minutes that it took to get over there was just enough time to check-in and watch my rental roll up. I'm not too fond of the new location, since it's in a sketchier area now. It's not the best place to be if you have to drop off the car at 3am and high-tail it to the bus station like me. Just wait in the car until a cab comes. The drop box for the car keys is very obvious by the office door. I'll still use Enterprise if they have a cheap deal like usual, but I'm going to try for a different location next time if possible. read more

Friendly employees and great rental company! Picked up a car and noticed a few days later that the tire light was on due to low air pressure. This was a huge concern since I was driving it all the way to North Carolina. They ended up switching out the car to a larger car with power everything! Had purchased a full tank of gas at $1.50/gallon and used 1/4 tank or so from the old car, yet they gladly sent me on my way with another full tank! I walked in the other day with a few problems on a couple different cars. As I kept having to switch into other vehicles the staff there was EXTREMELY friendly and personable. I never sensed any sort of attitude from anyone there. This is a RARE thing when it comes to any rental car service. Most could care less about being there or providing great customer service. I lost the keys to this vehicle rented from here on 9/24/2017. Called enterprise who said they would send a lock person out to make a new set. Waited two hours. Enterprise called back saying there are no services for locks and they would send a car recovery, waited another four hours. No one showed up. Called Enterprise again and they said they would send a vehicle to take us to BNA Nashville airport. No one showed. We were left stranded and never heard from Enterprise again until Monday 9/26/2017 when Nashville downtown Enterprise wanted to know where the car was. This is ridiculous. The roadside service is an abomination leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere, making promises and then not showing up multiple times. Enterprise failed to keep up its promises to rescue us and get us in a new rental or a new set of keys. And they have TOTAL COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION at the corp level, yet will not reply to my inquiries about this failure, esp the person they indicated would be an escalation point. I have had really bad experiences renting cars in new cities so I am always super nervous going into it. However, I had a great experience with this enterprise. The staff was quick and friendly and very flexible with our requests. Keyon helped us pick up the car and Jacob also help with the drop off later in the week. Both were so kind and helpful and made this vacation so much better. They were not pushy and I didn't walk away feeling like I just got majorly ripped off like I often do.
