On 1/28, I returned an SUV to Enterprise Rental Car in Massillon. I accidently left a family heirloom ring inside the vehicle. I'm told by Enterprise that the ring wasn't turned in. I also searched the Enterprise Lost & Found as instructed. I followed this up with an email to Enterprise Customer Service. That person stated Enterprise not responsible for "Lost items". I replied is it "Lost" or "Stolen" from the vehicle upon return. Nevertheless, I've now also filed a Police Report and offered a reward for it's return. Guess an employee there feels acceptable to take anything found in a vehicle. Also, there's no record of who cleaned the vehicle that day. Seems a major coverup all the way around. Check the rental carefully before leaving. As you'll not get any support from Enterprise. read more

It seemed like the customers in line ahead of me were having some issues, and the staff needed some time to work with them. Yet, the staff appeared to be courteous and patient with them. When it was my turn, the staff member was friendly and efficient. I rent from other Enterprise locations often, and I thought this rental was quicker than what I am used to. While I reserved an Economy car, they bumped me up to a Premium. Wow! I know to not get that experience every time I am here, but they don't have a huge lot. I would guess many upgrades occur. I haven't needed a rental is a couple years. Enterprise used to be my favorite. I won't use them again There was high pressure almost feeling threatened if I didn't take their extra insurance. Even saying if I got a flat tire I had to buy them two due to uneven wear. On a vehicle w 3400 miles. And they didn't have the economy car I reserved. We received such friendly service as soon as we reached the counter. I wish I remembered his name, but he was so kind and really took care of us. My flight was due to arrive at 11:30pm and was delayed. Enterprise had the flight number and the reservation was confirmed. On arrival at the airport the counter was closed - with a note to see staff at the National counter. Which was also closed. Fortunately the Avis counter was open and they had something available for my 35 mile journey. When I called them the next day, the sales office made a vague apology and asked if I could go back and pick up the vehicle I'd reserved. Err no! So they told me I wouldn't be charged! Good of them, considering there was nothing to be charged for. No offer of compensation, discount on future booking or anything else. Will NEVER use Enterprise again. read more

It was FUN to rent a car at the Akron-Canton airport for the following reasons. 1) Prices were so low, we are able to rent an SUV for $88 for three days total. 2) Easy and no hassle pickup right there at the airport. No shuttles. Very close 3) The woman who checked us in was so friendly and over qualified. She should be running the whole department or more. We forgot that we still had the keys and she came running after us out of breath: "No problem" with a big smile on her face. Love this! read more

If I could award less than one star, I would. After my experience here I'll never rent from Enterprise again -- anywhere! My wife and I had a late flight (11:30pm) arriving at the Akron/Canton airport, and were assured that the Enterprise counter would be open. We gave them the number of our arriving flight, and twice within the 24 hours before we arrived called to confirm that someone would be there. They assured us each time that the counter would be open until 2am. You can guess what happened. The counter was closed, although other car-rental counters were open (incl. Budget, Avis and Hertz). We needed to be in Northfield, about a half hour away, the next morning, but I called some of the nearby motels advertising shuttle service to see if we could get a room for the night before returning the next morning for our car; alas, all the local motels were full for the night. So we threw ourselves on the mercy of Hertz and asked if they might have a car for us. Not only did they have a car, it was $10 a day less than the one we'd reserved at Enterprise. No pressure on insurance, and it was our choice as to whether to buy gas from Hertz or return the car with the tank full. Three days later, after returning the Hertz car before our flight home, we stopped by the Enterprise counter to let them know how disappointed we were. One of the two employees there, a man by the last name of Jones, said a family emergency forced him to leave early the evening we arrived. We asked why he couldn't have called the co-worker next to him or any of the other employees whose business cards were on the counter (four total, including the manager) to sub for him so customers would't be left in the lurch. We got nothing more than a shrug and a vague apology -- not even an offer of a discount on a future rental, which might have given us an opportunity to reassess. This is a company that clearly doesn't care about customer service, and I won't reward them with my business again read more

Booked on Hotwire at a decent rate. Was scheduled to p/u at 10:00 PM after landing but the flight was delayed and we arrived at midnight. Immediately went to the counter but they were closed for the night, even though several flights and customers with reservations had yet to arrive. The other rental agencies were still fully staffed, with the exception of one (name escapes me). Had to take a $40 cab ride to the Red Roof Inn and then another $40 to ride back in the morning to finally p/u the car. Got the vehicle with no hassles and declined the extra insurance coverage. Also, please note that they try to get you to buy a full tank of gas from them at a "discounted" rate of around 20 cents lower than market rate. However, you are not reimbursed for gas you do not use. In my case, since I only used a 1/4 of a tank for the trip, I would have paid for and not used 3/4 of a tank of gas. Kind of a disorganized common return area. I drive in and no rental agency has any employees working there. I just parked in an empty Enterprise spot and walked to the counter and returned my key. The guy working then asks me if I want to put the additional insurance charge on the same credit card, something like $60 for three days. I told him I declined the coverage up-front and after going through the paperwork and his computer, he finally dropped the charge. The people working there were nice enough, the price was right, but the other factors make this a TWO STAR review. read more

After a very frustrating day, I needed to rent a car last minute at the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful during the process. However, the car I rented had a strong smell and wasn't a good one. Also, after I returned the rental I found that I was missing something that I may have left in rental. I tried calling them at the number provided and the phone just rang and rang. Finally, somewhere between the fifth and tenth call, I got ahold of the answering machine and was able to talk to someone who stated they would look and call me back. Now almost two days later, I haven't received a phone call as to whether they found my item. Although it is my responsibility to check the car before handing it over, I think that the customer service could have been better. Also, the smell was off putting. read more

I rented from the airport this time because their hours were better. When I got in the gas tank wasn't full. The gal understood when I returned the car and made the monetary adjustment. She was great. The car reeked of cigarette smoke. It took me 2 days of having the windows down in freezing cold temperatures to get rid of the awful stench. I get it, even though you have no smoking signs in the car, you can't prevent people from smoking. HOWEVER, if you are going to advertise no smoking in the cars then for crying out loud, clean the car and give it to me without a smoke smell! This is the second time this happened to me with Enterprise. When I got in the car and noticed the smell, I would have gone back in and asked for another car. However, when I checked in there were 2 people in front of me & it took 40 minutes to get to the counter and now there had been 3 people behind me and I had to go and couldn't wait. read more

We rented a car near the Green, OH location while our truck was being fixed. The truck repair took so long my insurance stopped paying. I was told by Enterprise that the body shop owner would be taking care of the extra expense. Indeed I was told there would be "no charge" for us. Enterprise told us that our body shop wanted to pay for a vehicle, but not a $90 a day vehicle like my insurance paid, since we had a couple days left before our truck would be ready. We agreed on a much lesser vehicle and exchanged out the vehicle. Long story short, Enterprise charged us $79 for two days, that we were told we would not owe. They stole our money. I did not authorize this payment. They ran this money through our account that our initial deposit was linked with. My hubby was shocked but left without argument when he went to pick up our repaired truck. I immediately called Enterprise upon hearing of this charge. The manager was very arrogant and would not give us back our money! I was very upset and called him a liar and a thief . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! read more

Well after avis messed up, Enterprise was there to Help! Not that it wasn't stressful enough going on spring break with four 13yr old girls. But then I arrive at avis to pick up my vehicle I was told they did not have it nor any idea when it would be there. Oh and nothing comparable. But Thankfully Brandon at Enterprise desk was able to help. Not only did he have the vehicle (van) we needed, but offered me a better rate. I can't begin to thank Brandon enough for his superior customer service and due to his help we were not late for our trip. Enterprise staff were attentive and friendly. They resolved any issues with ease and grace and saved us money. The car we got LOOKed like a small car, but it had a roomy trunk which was essential. The car was very clean (almost new) and smelled new. We were glad that spouses are not an extra charge. Also, that the counter was right in the airport terminal. The service was fine with one exception. I picked up the auto on the 12th of June and returned it on the 21st of June. My return time was 5:oo pm that day. On Saturday the 20th I called the Akron number and ask if I could extend the return time until 6:00 or 6:30pm because my flight did not to leave until 8:50 that evening. The answer I received was NO and if I was late they would charge me by the hour. After 10 days of renting the auto I did not like the answer to my question. Actual reservation and desk pick up process was great. However, I rented at Akron airport and dropped off in Amherst NY. The drop off person accused me of getting a dent in the car. It was so small and unnoticeable that it's difficult to see even when you know where to look. As such, I don't know for sure if it was there upon pick up or not. Akron did not do a walk around the car with me so I question if they dropped the ball. I still don't know if I will be charged for this "non" dent. read more

I rented from Enterprise over the Columbus Day weekend. First - the prices were fairly good. I booked about a month in advance and secured less than $100 for a 3 day rental, taxes included, for a standard car. But even better, I have lower back issues that really make sitting/driving difficult. When I approached the counter I asked if they could provide a car with good support and the amazing agent (who's name I'm failing for presently, sorry!!) took me out to try 4 different vehicles until I found one that was the most comfortable. He really took time with me, and assured me it was no problem to do so. So kind. This is why I love Enterprise! Thank you for another great experience - I'll be back! read more

We rented a minivan to drive to Florida last week. We were given 2 options to choose from, a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan or 2015 Toyota Sienna- we chose the Toyota- very clean and roomy. We rented a Van which was just awesome. The back doors were automatic open and close which made it great because we had two elderly passengers traveling with us. It was so easy to get our Van at the airport. They brought the van right to the door. I think returning it could have been a little easier. We had to drop off the luggage and an elderly passenger then drive to the lot and walk back to the terminal. Since we had an elderly person with us so we had to drop them off first. That would be my only issue. I would rent from Enterprise again. read more
