I agree with another Elite, this was the most seamless car rental experience I've had. Max and Tony were friendly and professional. I had to rent a car for a few days since my car was in the shop. Max assisted me when I picked up the rental. All I had to do was sign some documents and put a card on file for the deposit. He made sure the car was clean and ready to go. When I returned the car, Tony assisted me and made sure I had a great experience with the rental. I highly recommend this Enterprise location. I was dropping off a rental for my wife who had some car troubles with her ride and the manager Naomi was kind, professional, and extremely efficient! One thing that stood out was that I asked for a ride home and their shuttle driver just happened to be away for a while so the manager offered to comp me an Uber lift. That was a very professional and pro-long-term-business move. I appreciate that. Nothing but trouble and inconsistent policies and agreements you know I deal with Naomi. She's always telling me something's wrong like I have to pay more for this and pay for that. I had a free rental with my points. She still ended up charging me after I called and asked her if all I owed was a deposit in taxes for the car and I show and she says I have to pay a difference so what she did was she charged me for a car that was told the same class to reserve, but it isn't so when I called ahead of time to reserve the same type of car for my points they end up approaching me more for a difference and didn't tell me about it and I make special arrangements to deal with one employee so there's no confusion and still Naomi has a way to craft yourself to just change either the arrangements. I have not return my insurance claim with the proper dates rent me dirty cars I was told I could come back and she would be different but she never was. That's always the same in a difficult transactions with her. Kyle is not like that and if he tries to be nice and work with me, she has to put in and just just completely changed my experience I get dirty cars. She says they're clean. I get cars that breakdown. She says they're perfect. read more

We were really surprised at how very busy this location was when we needed a car. A very efficient staff and a branch manager who is on top of everything: Annie Ricci. We were a walk-in without reservation and it had been long enough since I retired that my membership could not be found. Just took longer to give them the data on insurance, driver licenses, etc for the rental. But it got done pretty fast. Now we had a reservation and a deadline time for pick-up. Why am I saying this? They are so busy that if you are not there by the set time, the car will be rented out to others. Likewise, it is a major penalty to not have the car returned at the designated return time. They market that, especially due to COVID, cleanliness and sanitizing vehicles is very important to them. Prior to today I have always thought of Enterprise as having some of the best customer service of any rental car company (and I am Gold Hertz and Avis Preferred). Today at Novato I had the worst customer service of any Enterprise location in the country, and almost any rental car company (have had some bad ones). I picked up a car that I reserved on a Monday. When I got down the road I noticed the right wiper wasn't wiping the windshield, and that the fuel gauge was less than half full. When I bought it back they insisted that there were 2 dents on the roof that I had to be responsible for. I have a perfect driving record and have never ever damaged a rental car. They didn't believe me. About 6 hrs later they called and said it was a mistake. That I was given the wrong car, and they apologized and offered a upgrade or a 1 day free rental. Don't go here it's run by young, totally incompetent women. And if you have to, then be sure to spend 15-20 minutes checking out the car for dents, half empty fuel tanks, scratches and broken wipers. Their definitely running a scam. Also their Office looks like a war zone. Very dirty! read more

The recent reviews confirm my experience with the female manager at this location. She also got down on her hands and knees and made up damage to the bumper/fender. I called the police and I also got a lawyer. Enterprise had no choice but to back down since she had no documentation to back up her claim. I hope she gets fired and they shut this location down. Front desk peeps are idiots, didnt have the car size I reserved, so forcing me to take a bigger vehicle, which I was fine with but he wanted to charge me for more since it was bigger failed to understand why I need to pay for something I did not reserve, since it was the only car left to rent I had no choice. I was prepared to wait it out but the nice woman working there told me I didn't need to and immediately processed my return. She then complimented me on the cleanliness of the car and thanked me for returning it in such nice condition; I wish I noted her name so I could add it to the review. Then she had another employee drive me to my bus stop and I was able to get to the office earlier than expected. I reserved a car for pickup this morning at 930 am. When I arrived, the manager had me wait 15 minutes before telling me that they didn't have a car for me in stock. He said that, instead, they would drive us to San Rafael to get a car at the Enterprise there. I then waited another 15 minutes to get a ride. More than halfway to the San Rafael enterprise, the driver TURNS AROUND because he says he needs to do something at the Novato store immediately. He will not drop me off in San Rafael. Shockingly, he will not drop me off at the halfway point either (bc I could just as easily grab a Lyft at this point). He is currently forcing us to drive back to Novato Enterprise. It is crazy and slightly terrifying. Long story short - It has been an hour and I am no closer to having a car than when I got here. And I may have been kidnapped by an insane driver. read more

They were able to reserve a car for me a couple hours before I arrived and were able to check me in quickly. Their office is very clean. The car I received is in great condition and was also clean. Worst experience ever. Farmers claims adjuster agrees they seriously lack in customer service. In spite of getting a confirmation by email and calling back twice to confirm I have a shuttle and leaving work early as they said their latest was 430. I arrived on time yet no shuttle. I had to find my own ride and when I complained about this I was locked out of the office with no reservation. I had to start over outside in the parking lot to find a rental car at the last minute with an upcoming engagement that was missed and with all the hassle this cost me over $1200 to rectify the damages. Manager needs to be replaced and improved communication such as when the shuttle stops running and since when can they refuse your service when it's their error? read more

I rented a Buick AWD with snow tires. The car was clean and well maintained. It performed safely during my ski trip Caltrains had R2 chain restrictions over Brockway Summit, and the care performed safely. I wish it were open on the weekends but I understand it's hard for a small business to operate 7 days a week. The staff was courteous professional. I would rent from them again. read more

I've rented well over a dozen times from this particular Enterprise location dealing with several different employees. Each time my experience has been very positive, especially my most recent rental. During that last visit, Miguel, a management trainee did something no one at any rental car agency has ever done with me during the checkout process - they opened the trunk to make sure that there was a functional spare tire. That is the kind of customer care I like to see. I've rented using both debit and credit cards. I've always had a quick smooth checkout and checkin experience. They have always picked me up from my home promptly when I needed a ride to their location to get my rental car. Ok, I have been a loyal and regular Enterprise customer. I have my car serviced at Leonardi's Automotive across the street from Enterprise RAC, Novato. I have been used to in the past getting a rental for the day and returning same day. Seems post Covid there is an issue with getting a car. I am reserving 4 days in advance. The issue that angers me is: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY CARS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY I NEED ONE TELL ME THAT AT THE OUTSET. I called the Novato number I have on my phone and got an automated system. Told the system I needed a car for just Friday November 5 and would be returning same day. Then I was transferred to a real person and had to reiterate what I had told the cyber person. She actually talked to me about how there is no longer after hours drop off (don't need that anyway- returning before 5). THEN I WAS TOLD NO CARS WERE AVAILABLE. WHAT!!?? HELLO. NO NEED TO ENGAGE ME IN A CONVERSATION ABOUT THE CAR WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ONE! EVERYONE'S TIME IS WASTED! I GO AWAY ANGERED VOWING TO FIND ANOTHER SERVICE (From now on a cab) IN FUTURE. Do not have them pick you up! I waited over 25 minutes for them to pick me up from an autobody shop. Beforehand I was assured by Enterprise they would be there waiting for me when I dropped of my car. Driver arrived not wearing a mask in a closed up mini van, ready to pick up 3 of us. One woman was coughing and no mask, the other woman had a mask on. So... no masks required. Come on people! This is the Bay Area with a BA.5 variant surging! The great people at G &C let one of their employees drive me to Enterprise to pick up my car. There was no way I felt comfortable riding in the van. Once at Enterprise the guy who gives you your car was very nice but no mask in sight. The car had a hanger inside saying clean protection and listing all they do to make it safe. Plus a bleach wipe packet. Too bad this location doesn't encourage or tell their employees to be more Covid safe since they are with the public daily. read more

I had to rent a car because mine was being repaired and I was happy to be able to use a local place that I could walk to from the auto shop. They offered to come get me but it was like three blocks walk. I made the initial reservation through the 800 number then got a phone call from Alex and he asked a few questions and said See you Monday. I arrived really early and was in and out the door in less than ten minutes. Seriously fast and professional. The car was spotless and brand new, 2016 Chevy Equinox. The next day I called to ask about using my fastrak and Alex not only answered the phone on the second ring he offered an honest opinion, he didn't use fastrak so he didn't know haha. I appreciated the candor and went ahead and added the plate to my fastrak, then I ended up paying cash on the Richmond Bridge because each time I went across there was no line! Dropped it off a few days later and checkout was also super fast. I forgot bags in the trunk and popped in to grab them and thanked them for the service. We recently went on a two-week road trip and didn't want to take our car. We decided to rent from enterprise as it's right in Novato and seemed very easy. It sure was. We dealt with Brandon most of the time and he was awesome. We rented a Chrysler 200 for two weeks and a day for only $517. We put 2300 miles on the car and it sure saved our own cars from all that where and tear. From pick up to drop off, everything was great. I was meeting a friend at Starbucks across the street after dropping off the car today. So I decided that I would walk to Starbucks. This did not stop Brandon from offering me a ride. I just love enterprise and will definitely use them again and again and again. I will also recommend them to anyone who is looking to go on a road trip and not use their car! When friends came to town recently I had made a reservation at Hertz for a car to take them around town in. Hertz didn't have a car for me and was quite rude about it so I thought I'd try my luck down the street. Although the Enterprise location only had one car, a big beautiful Suburban, they rented it to me at the rate I had been quoted for an economy car and even gave me a ride home to drop off my car. The agent, Brandon Beymer, was extremely helpful and understanding. I will never rent a car anywhere in Novato other than Enterprise. I highly recommend this location. read more

I went online on 12/19/2014 to reserve a vehicle for my Christmas travels for 12/20/2014 at noon. I received a confirmation # by email. On 12/20/2014 my boyfriend and I walked in the Novato office to pick up the vehicle. The woman behind the counter said all cars were gone and she had attempted to call us @ 8:40am. We had no received call, no missed calls and no email. We received no offer of apology, compensation, help of any sort. Being that it was noon on a Saturday and the weekend prior to Christmas all other rental car locations were closed/sold out. This ruined our Christmas! *note: I went to email Enterprise directly and the software will not allow the selection of the rental location making it impossible to send an email. read more
