UPDATE- I contacted customer service via phone 3 times and via email, as requested in the reply from the business, with no response. There does no seem to be any desire to provide their customer's with service or resolution for issues at the corporate level anymore than this branch. Horrible service at this location not to mention the absolute disregard for having a reservation for a vehicle. I reserved a large SUV well in advance that they gave to a customer after me because she complained she was going somewhere with snow and had a baby as if my travel conditions and children were not valid. They were completely dismissive as to the fact that I was being helped before her, I assume as a black woman by reservation was deemed less important. They then were unable to assist with finding an adequate replacement leaving myself and my husband to track down one. The customer service line is equally unhelpful as they told me they can't locate vehicles nor take the complaint, I have to do that at the location where I am at and not being helped! I don't know if the lack of professionalism, erroneous listing of inventory or racism was the worst part of this experience but do not rent your vehicle from here!! read more

I had an extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience with the Owings Mills location, primarily involving the branch manager, Sean/Shawn. Back in October, Sean/Shawn made specific commitments to me that were never honored, after I had a sour experience with a rental. Keep in mind, he initiated and offered these commitments to try to rectify the initial experience, I did not ask for them. Despite repeated attempts to contact him to follow-up on when I would see said commitments, he never returned a single one of my calls... still til this day. I don't need to go into specifics of the initial situation for this review, he (and his minions) knows exactly what transpired. On multiple occasions, I was told by other employees that he was unavailable but would call me back. Not only did that never happen, but I also experienced repeated instances where I was placed on hold for long periods of time under the pretense that an employee was "going to get Sean," only to have the call disconnected entirely. This occurred more than once and felt intentional rather than accidental. They also screened my calls from the branch, this went on for months. What manager encourages his employees to do this? The overall handling of the situation suggested a lack of transparency and accountability at this location. Unfortunately, the regional manager also failed to reach out at any point to acknowledge or attempt to resolve the issue, which further reinforced the absence of effective leadership. Upon skimming through other reviews, it seems not returning phone calls is a very common theme at this location, to which I am not surprised, as it seems they enjoy mistreating customers. Finally now in January, after multiple attempts, the matter was ultimately "resolved" only after escalating the issue to corporate and customer escalations. Without their intervention, I would still be waiting for a callback from Sean and the issue would have remained unresolved. You all are very odd individuals at this location. I mean it. Never before experienced something like this over something so minor. I've rented probably over 100+ cars with Enterprise due to a previous job, this is by far the worst location. This is also the first complaint I've had to make on a location. As mentioned, I have still not received a call, email, text, carrier pigeon, with an apology and explanation as to why I was treated this way when I didn't do anything other than follow-up on what he promised he would do for me based on my rental experience with them. Sean/Shawn, is a coward and a sad excuse for a leader. Same goes for the regional manager. Based on this experience, I would not trust the management or staff at the Owings Mills Enterprise location, and I will not be returning or recommending this branch to others. Waited 45+ minutes for a reserved car (location was dealing with a 4 walk-in clients, most were waiting for cars to arrive). It appeared that the rental car that I had reserved had been on site sitting parked on the side of the building but for an unknown reason did have to wait for site staff to pull the car up and do the inspection. When the car was pulled up. Exterior inspection was done car (scent of marijuana was present, but thought that it was from someone smoking in the vicinity). The interior of the car also smelled but once again felt that might have been from the environment, but upon driving and leaving the area and opening the windows to clear the scent; it was obvious that the car had been smoked in and reeked). Being that I had a timeline to make an appointment and travel; and was now behind schedule was not able to return the car and potentially wait an additional 45+ minutes for a replacement. All other experiences have been good with other enterprise locations. read more

I usually rent cars from BWI airport however, I needed a vehicle last minute. I booked through Costco.com and picked up the car an hour later. It was not crowded when I arrived so I was in and out within 15mins. The location is almost hidden so when you arrive look for the strip where the office furniture store is (on the same side of the street as the vegan restaurant. ) During the rental, I received an email checking on my experience with the car. The return was simple. The only con is that the selection of cars may be limited. read more

I had a few hi cups at this location - there were no mini vans but they gave me a massive up grade for me and my family and after some confusion about the billing cycle - Andrew made the entire experience worthwhile. He's aware of the fine print and ensures that you are aware of it and explains it - which unfortunately did not happen with other staff at this location. Awesome experience here when my daughter had a car accident and needed a rental car last week. Matthew who I think is the Asst. Manager helped us on a weekend. He made sure we understood the documents being signed, was friendly and delivered service with a smile, explained what was required to have a fully returned deposit and he made sure my daughter was comfortable with the rental selected. We were in and out in less than thirty- five minutes. Seating area was neat and clean. When we returned the car, he was consistent with that same service! I went in to rent a car because my car was in the shop due to an accident with a deer. There seemed to be no issue until I returned my car a few days early and waited for my refund (of the deposit and the remaining days). I was told I got a reversal on my card, but my bank said there was nothing there and that it didn't happen. I was charged another $123 on top of that and when I tried to call, I was put on hold multiple times for over 45 minutes every single call. I even went to the location and they weren't helpful at all and blamed it on my bank. There were basically a lot of faulty transactions made by Enterprise and they did not help at all to fix it. I do not recommend this location. The manager is always too busy to answer a simple call and they seem like a SCAM. read more

Rent from here frequently only because the nearest National is at bwi airport. The staff here are all friendly, but I have to sit and wait every single time I come here even though I show up at my reservation time. They always give the same story about waiting for Mr Tire to bring them cars which seems like a planning issue. They also always give me the car with half or a quarter tank of gas. This is bizarre to me that they think this is normal or acceptable. Surely has to do with Mr Tire or something, can't be their fault. Lastly, they always ask a million and one questions before they hand you the keys, whereas most airport rental car facilities will just give you your car and check your ID on you way out of the gate. In a struggle to come up with the right adjectives to describe my unpleasant experience at the Owings Mills Enterprise Rent-A-Car location yesterday, I am thinking I can successfully settle on the following: smug, condescending, unhelpful, unprofessional, untruthful and obnoxious. This is allegedly a car rental facility, right? In the 90 minutes I was there (10 minutes early for my appointment to pick up the car I had reserved), I saw more than a dozen customers come in and NOT ONE OF THEM LEFT WITH A VEHICLE, including myself. This was an appalling experience, and in decades of life, has to rank in the top 5 of frustratingly unnecessary horrendous customer service. Car was a 2016 impala and was dirty inside and scuffed up outside. my husband cleaned the car before we rode in it because it was half way cleaned. These associates were busy, they had lines, people asking questions and phones ringing. Through it all I watched them treat every customer with respect, take their time and answer all questions. The team made it seem effortless. When I brought the vehicle back on the day agreed, I was asked how the vehicle performed, if all was okay and did I need a ride. Rates online were actually higher than going into the store. I will say that you should always double check your bill before and after because they have a lot of unknown charges like most companies do when renting vehicles. Also, note that the customer service here was decent. My service assistant was kind and friendly and she assisted me with my booking process. Went twice- first time I received a car with only half a tank of gas that rattled and made crazy noises going over every bump. Second time I made a reservation and couldn't make it by the time they closed because they close so early, went the next day and they said they didn't have a car for me and to come back at 5. Thank god I didn't take them on their word, called to confirm before I went and they told me there was no car and to come back tomorrow. If I could give a 0 I would I was brought here by my dealer as they were out of courtesy cars. The place is dirty and smells like a 2 week old litter box. I was given a car with less than 1/4 tank of gas, barely enough to make it to work - which I didn't make anyways since as soon as I got over 20mph the car advised me the back tire was flat. I returned the car but nobody was available to switch me. Finally my car dealer just picked me up and found me a vehicle. This ordeal took over an hour and made me late to work. read more

The customer service at the Owings Mills site is horrible and inattentive to their customer needs. The workers and branch manager lack basic customer service skills . I had to rent a car through an insurance company using this facility; however, when the insurance company release the car rental nobody at this site properly contacted me. After 7 days, I was finally contacted and was improperly charged for the car. I talked to the branch manager about the incident and he was very rude and had no desire to assist me in any way. It was obvious that this practice of not appropriately contacting and overcharging customers was the normal. The branch manager even threaten that Enterprise would " Never Give Me a Rental Again". This statement was shocking to hear and so unprofessional . My advice is to run the other way and rent from another company unless you want to get rude service, be ripped off, and robbed all at the same time! read more

STAY AWAY!! This was my first and last time using Enterprise. I used them due to an accident and needed a car. They did not have a car for me after picking me up and waiting three hours. They ask you for a security deposit, which i would think would be returned after the car is returned. They charge your card immediately without notice and then it takes week for them to return your money if it was not used. THEY DO NOT tell you this upfront. They KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD ON FILE to use in case they want to charge you weeks later. I got a notice 2 weeks later indicating that there was a $2.54 toll that occurred when I got the car. i was NEVER sent a notice by MVA. However I get a letter stating that Entreprise charged my card AFTER I closed out everything more than a week ago and they added a $10. 00 administrative charge. Though it is a very small amount, good thing there was enough to cover it. Though it didn't, it could cause problems for customers. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. Though insurance covered the bulk of the charges, they did not deserve the business and I will let everyone know. Do better Enterprise! read more

Over the past 10 years I have rented 30 cars from enterprise.My company is A&F construction .3 months ago was the first time I rented a truck while my truck was at len stoler being fixed from an accident NOT MY FAULT someone hit my truck when parked in my garage. The truck took 38 days to fix..Enterprise is sending me bills for having the truck longer then they thought the work should have taken.The snow was part of the reason and they need to collect the money from the lady who hit my parked car.Enterprise is sending me bills for the extra days totaling $350.I told them 10 or 11 times not to ask me for this money and call the person at fault.The other thing that happened was the day I got the truck I called them within 5 mins of leaving and told them there was a dent in the truck and that I want them to make a note of it.They said no problem and not to worry.When I returned the truck , they called and said I caused the dent and wanted me to pay I said your crazy and look that I called about this.I thought this was over but I found out they put a claim on the dent to MY INSURANCE company without asking me or getting my permission.I found out when my agent called and asked me about the damage to truck.I said It was there the day I got the truck..They sent in a second claim last week even though it was denied once already.They enterprise also put a claim in for the 350 for me having the truck longer. I wrote a letter to enterprise and am still waiting for a call back from the regional manager.I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ENTERPRISE AGAIN they lost a long standing customer and should get their SH-T straight..I want to be paid for all the time I have had to handle these problems which were never my fault AT ALL!!! read more
