My car broke down on Rt. 17 South with my kids in the car. Yikes! Once my husband reached us he took us to Enterprise. There was another rental car place nearby, but they were closed, so Enterprise it was. Inside we met Raya and she was welcoming, friendly and helpful. She gave us some options for cars to rent. Once I'd made my choice, she came outside with me to check over the car. She was thorough and efficient. She also went over the contract with me explaining the different options available. My husband and I made our decisions and closed the deal. The entire process was quick and (nearly) painless. When we returned the car the next evening, she remembered us and greeted us by name. Raya was friendly and cheerful; and once again very efficient. The only thing that stung was the price...a little high. read more

This is the one of the worst experiences of Enterprises I have ever went to. I had a reservation for a small car. I was 1hr & a half late. I had other obligations. From the other locations, they'll give you a call & ask if you're still picking up your reservation. I didn't get a call nor did I ask to get something equivalent to what I wanted. The customer representative that Sunday was horrible. My family & friends rent vehicles a lot from Enterprise. This is the worst experience out of all of them. Rented a car online at Priceline for Enterprise and took insurance through online reservation. Get to Enterprise in Paramus and inform me they don't accept this insurance, so I have to take their insurance for a much higher rate. Go on vacation 7 hours away. On way home get pulled over and informed that the car is not registered and plates come back to nothing. Thankfully after about half an hour the officer let me drive home telling me if I get stopped again they can impound the car. Talked to Enterprise said car was definitely registered and that officer didn't know what he was talking about. Received call today that car was not registered. How can Enterprise not have their cars registered? Best part was brought car back day earlier because wasn't going to get pulled over and they offered to switch to another car. Really? Do you think I will ever drive an Enterprise rental again knowing you rent out unregistered cars? I will never ever rent a car from them again. read more

I live in Dumont, N.J, but I only rent from Enterprise in Paramus. The staff there is very friendly and professional at the same time. I have been there on days that it was very busy, but they are always able to get everything done. I have never waited there for no more than 15 mins. The whole staff is great, Sabrina, Ty, Joe, Nick and all the others. I will always recommend this branch to everyone, friends and family. Management professionalism needs major improvement at Enterprise of Paramus. Sabrina the suppose "manager" lacks every single quality a real manager should have. My dealership put me in a rental for one day while a recall was being done on my car. The gas was on full when I received the car & when I returned the car. Upon checking my credit card I was charged!! Everything was covered by my dealer why the charge? This location stated that when they picked up the rental car at my dealer the gas meter was 3/4 full. WHAT!!!!!!????? This is a complete LIE the gas was on FULL!!!......Beware of this scam & make sure you have a picure of the gas meter before & after usage so the same thing that happened to me does not happen to you!! I will never return to this location & will never refer my family or friends either. Poor Poor service. read more

I am not pleased at all. They picked me up from Paramus Honda, in a pickup car. I had kept two big car seats and a bag of small stuff, in their pickup car so that I can move it to rental car. We reached rental office, went inside to do paperwork and in the meantime someone from other office took that pickup car to some other location with all my things still inside that car. I picked the rental car, drove to other store and collected the car seats and bag and later found that my iPod classic 160GB is missing from my bag. My request to find the name of the person who took the car with all my belonging inside went no where , not sure how can a employee takes a car with clients things still inside .. that too two big car seats that no one can ignore , specially when you drive rental car, which are always empty. Now I have been trying to find my ipod for about a month and no one is calling me or finding out the name of person who took the car, no responsibility for missing item. --------------------------------------- Update on 6/6/2016 ------------- --------------------------------------- And after their response on the yelp comment - I again sent all the details waited for few weeks and finally someone calls to tell me "sorry" they can't do anything about it .. what a shame .... What a great experience! I have rented many cars for work and for personal use but this was my first time having to rent a car due to total loss of my car. Another driver hit me and totaled my car. Talk about a stressful situation. However, that was not the case at this Enterprise location. I went in to rent a car using my insurance only to find out that if I had them pay I would need to go through my insurance to deal with the total loss, making my insurance policy go up. The manager Sabrina, was amazing, in a first of its kind situation she actually had to find a way to reverse out the charges and bill me instead of Allstate. She couldn't resolve it when I was there but followed up and got it done. She called me at home, emailed me the receipt, she was fantastic. When the other insurance company agreed to pay all the damages and pay for a rental car, guess where I went back to? Enterprise! Sabrina helped me out again. They could not be a more friendly staff. I am an assistant to a very busy woman who left her cell phone in her rental. This phone is essential to her business and we were both panicking. I called to find the phone and they had it safely held and labeled with her name. We needed it immediately and Raya kindly agreed to over night the phone to our hotel. She was the most agreeable person I've ever encountered in customer service! She went above and beyond and even paid for the box used to ship the phone. These guys are great. In need of a rental car for two week periods, and then two month periods because my wife's car was totaled, the staff at Enterprise couldn't have been more accommodating. No matter what I needed, or when I needed it, the guys there not only provided great customer service, but also looked to make my life easier. On August 9 I called enterprize and was told I could only rent from a Paramus office if I wanted to be picked up even though the Hackensack office was closer. I needed transportation immediately because I have 2 aids to take care of my 97 yr old handicapped mother and the car broke down just when I had to drop of one off and pick up another, of course 3pm on a Friday afternoon. I called and was told they only had luxury cars and the pick up truck would be 89.00. I agreed and had them pick me up. At the office I was told it would be 100.00 with the extras. A fast talking woman explained I needed extra insurance because I don't carry my own collision. I told her my mother has that and I am driving for her. She said I was the driver it had to go under my name. This is not correct their own sign says if driving for a handicapped person then they can be the party to the contract. Long story short that truck ended up costing $144 a day not the 89/day as offered. Further more, they said they would get in economy cars but never got one in, so I had to pay for luxury cars for 3 days. The lot is in a clover leaf and is small. All I saw were luxury cars at that location. The 3 day bill was for 368.44. All this for a dead battery. She has AAA and they came out in 1 day but he said it wasn't the battery and left. We had to wait until Monday when our mechanic came out and in 2 minutes found it was the battery ( a AAA battery ). another 100 not counting the battery. I will post on AAA about that. The service was very good the cars were new and great, but the price and misleading the real price to me are misleading and immoral. Will not use enterprise again. read more

i had to have my car towed to paramus chevy,enterprise brought a car to me at the dealer in minutes and costantly checked in with me during the rental, later in the week they brought me another car to my house that i was more happy with then they made the return easy. thank you all for the great service and will highly recommend and use again read more
