This review is for the Westwood, NJ location on Old Hook Road, however, the Exeter, NH office and the Portsmouth (Mirona Road), NH office have also been amazing. What I can say about the Westwood office: I went through a difficult time - I had surgery prior to renting - I was traveling from Maine and a few days before leaving for NJ - my car got hit and totaled. I recovered from surgery with complications - without a car to get anywhere once able to drive. The kindness, the thoroughness and patience that everyone at this office who helped me had was beyond 100 percent. I know them by name: Kayler, Kahlia, Eric, Roman and Brenna. They were INCREDIBLE and I will always rent from them. Shout out to Chelsea in Exeter and Ryan in Portsmouth - but everyone (whose names I may not know) deserve kudos for excellent customer care. So important - makes or breaks a company. Please acknowledge their excellence. read more

I rented a car this month for 10 days, and I honestly cannot say enough about the superior customer service at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Westwood, NJ. Olivia, Dan and Anthony were excellent to work with and the car was clean and wonderful! This is the first time I have had a seamless (and pleasant) experience with a rental car company. My husband rented a car from enterprise for a period of time while our car was getting repaired after an accident the jeep grand Cherokee that he was given was in worse condition than the car that went in for repair. To name just a few things it had a 10 inch brake on its windshield plus another chip, The brake pedal was missing the rubber pad which is dangerous the leather seat was torn, not to mention the cleanliness of the vehicle which was clearly not up to Covid standards let alone regular standards as the previous occupants personal belongings were found in between the seats including a bottle of water and some of his personal paperwork!!! read more

Rented a car from them - got pulled over because it was an unregistered vehicle. Customer service has been terrible and not helpful. Useless and nasty. Got put through to roadside assistance - disconnected three times. They ask for a phone number "to call back in case we get disconnected " do you think they called back ? Police said they could have towed and ticketed me but let me drive around the corner to my house. Fourteen hours later still waiting for help. Update newly disconnected ten times (not exaggerating) they said they "cancelled the service ". This is the worst customer service I have had in my entire life. I will rent elsewhere and do all I can to tell as many people as possible. I have posted on all social media and will continue. read more

I picked up my rental car at about 11:15am. The rental agent was very nice and explained everything to me. After driving it home, my son found a nail in the driver side rear tire. I called enterprise, explained the situation, the agent told me to bring it the nearest Mavis tire center to have it repaired. Mavis, said the car will be ready at the end of the busy day. We were planning to be on the road by at least 2p or 3pm. We were hoping to check in at the hotel by 9pm. Due to the tire issue we won't be checking in until 1a in the morning the next day. I called the hotel, explained our tire situation, and they will hold our reservation, but I lost an evening at the hotel. I called enterprise to explained the situation and asked if they can offer any adjustment for the inconvenience. The enterprise agent apologized and said they will make any adjustments necessary when we turn in the rental car. The agents at Westwood Enterprise were very professional, friendly, accommodating and understanding. read more

Jordan the manager and the other young guy that helped me were great. I had a coupon that I found after I booked and Jordan honored it for an upgrade. They also worked with me on upgrading further at a reasonable rate which ended up being what we needed as a family. The car we got I feel may not have been prepared/cleaned thoroughly first but it wasnt horendous. The late drop off is also a great option. It wasnt the closest enterprise to my house but it was definetely the best price and worth the drive over and we intend to use them again. read more

Amazing place! I needed a car... 1-2-3 and I had one and they gave me a car just like the my car so I didn't even have to learn how to use the new one. Also called my ins for me... and kept me updated on when the car was due back also called me again and said I could keep it longer since ins extended it. I am intrigued that another review says the regional office resolved a dispute because I had a dispute with this location also. We had a mechanical problem with our car. We didn't have an accident. The car was not working properly. Enterprise roadside sent a tow to drop off a new car and pick up the old. We were then told by this office that there was body damage when the original car was returned by the tow to the central receiving and we would be held responsible. This is outrageous because the car we turned over to the tow was in exactly the same condition as when we drove it off the Enterprise parking lot. If there was damage, it was done by their tow truck that they called. In the end, they dropped it, but only after we contacted our credit card company. Regardless of price difference, I don't use Enterprise now. read more

I had a really smooth experience with this location in January, and decided to go back again in April. I was told by an employee that since they were closed on Sundays, to just bring the car back Monday morning before 7AM. He even said "Technically, you get a free day out of this." So I bring it back Monday at 6:45AM and give the keys to an employee who was coming in. To my surprise, I was billed for 2 days. Even though I was told to wait on bringing it in. I will use enterprise again, but I will NOT use this location. read more

He and his team have met my needs and delivered each time. Also, he remembers my name (and my requests) so I do not have to repeat myself every time I pick up a vehicle. Just rented from them this weekend. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They happily picked me up and dropped me off. I liked that I could rent with them using a debit card (I had a NJ license so I was able to use a debit card). They had to take a $250 deposit but that was returned to me after I returned the car and in my account a day later. I had a little issue with the pricing at the end, but I had my initial contract stating otherwise so everything was fixed right away. I would definitely use them again. read more

I thanked them for helping secure the rental over the phone ... they stated to come closing at 6pm. I received a call minutes later stating they did not have ANY cars. I've now had two horrible experiences here. If you're looking to rent a car do yourself a favor and avoid this place. My husband made a reservation online for a 10:30 pickup today. We get there, the guy was nice at first, until I tried to pay with a credit card under my name and not my husbands. I explained that my husband doesn't use credit cards, he paid them off and personally doesn't feel comfortable having one due to the temptation of spending, but I have cards under my name. He was very rude, dismissive, condescending and unprofessional. I explained that I personally do not have a drivers license and could not provide one (not that it's any of his or Enterprise's business, but I have health issues and cannot drive) and made fun of me and the fact that I don't drive. He also tried to say one of my credit cards was "prepaid" even though it was a legitimate card...very stupid individual. He was a young, blondish looking man who looked like a creep. Not only was he rude and unhelpful but he was a complete liar. I went to this location with my mother in law a few months back and at the time it was a woman working there. This idiot woman was going to charge MY card even though the reservation was under my mother in law's name...she said "any credit card will do." So why this time around was it a problem? The people here are idiots and clearly don't understand their rules/policies. They are incompetent and unreliable morons. I will be complaining big time to corporate and leaving many bad reviews for this location read more

Renters beware! I was taking a group of friends out for a celebratory dinner and wanted a large vehicle to fit everyone as I was the designated driver. Upon arrival, I was informed that my requested vehicle, a large suv was not available so I had to accept a minivan or find another rental location that had one. The minivan was dirty inside and out and smelled as if someone had smoked an entire carton of cigarettes inside the car. I was supposed to rent an suv again this week to take my daughter to college, but canceled my reservation with Enterprise. I would highly suggest looking at one of the other major rental companies for your needs. read more

Two weeks earlier I talked to the Westwood office and they said they can refund half of the additional charges. Nothing refunded to my account in two weeks and when I called today the same guy told me he can't do anything at this point. For the first few minutes he pretended to act like he was not the guy who I talked with last time. This is the worst customer care I ever had. read more

I had gotten into an accident at 5oclock. I had my car taken to the body shop where he referred me to enterprise is Westwood. I drove a Durango and wanted something equivalent and they had a GMC Terrain waiting for me. I mentioned to Don I loved the Dodge Ram I loved and they had me in it and out the door by 6:00pm. I just read a disturbing review below. The same thing happened to me. I got a letter two weeks after I rented a van saying I had damaged it and they had fixed it and I not only owed them the price for fixing it but for the time the vehicle was not available to be rented - at a rate far higher than the rate I rented it out for! I was so upset. I called them up and said there was no way I damaged their van, that it never came into contact with any other vehicle, nor was it ever parked in a lot where it could be hit. I asked why they did not call me and show me the damage before fixing it. They sent me an email and said they would absorb the cost. Next time I rent from them, I will take photos of the car before I take it and when I return it. read more

These guys are the WORST! I will NEVER rent a car from this place again as long as Cory is at the helm. He treats both his staff and customers with the same level of disrespect. When I showed up here after another branch had called over to reserve a car for me (the branch I reserved with did not have a car for me - another story entirely), a staff member politely offered to help me and started walking outside with me when Cory ripped the pen right out of his hand, forcing the employee to rummage through back desks looking for another pen. Then the car they tried to rent me had not been cleaned. I am fine with some outside dirt but when the entire inside interior is covered with white pet hair and mud, there are dirty water bottles in the car and packages of opened skittles in the middle console I call "uncle." The staff member helping me offered to get me a new car when Cory put his foot down and said no. He told me he could clean the car in 5 minutes, 20 minutes later I was still standing there waiting. Cory had left the premises peeling off in another rental car onto a residential street, with the tires of his vehicles making screeching noises he hit the gas so hard. When I finally got the car back 25 minutes later, there was still mud in the interior and pet hair everywhere. Being over an hour delayed for a six hour car ride I just took it. I called corporate to file a complaint with the regional manager and never heard back from either. All in all a terrible experience. read more
