Had to rent a car near my home for an office trip to Vegas since I didn't want to put mileage on my car. This is just 2 miles away from my home so decided to rent with them directly instead of checking options for the convenience factor. Overall my experience was nice here. Competitive prices, quick check-in and flexible checkout options. Car was in good condition, I wouldn't say the most cleaned car rental even but it was overall clean. This place is ridiculous! I called to make my reservation 2 days before my trip and spoke with Mario and confirmed that I will be doing a one way trip and paying with debit card, he assured me that's fine and never stated that in order to book a one way a credit card will be needed. I came in the next day to confirm everything will be good because I'm paying with debit and to check if anything else will be needed and I spoke with Raymond then. He was very pleasant to deal with but of course I went home thinking everything will be okay when I come pick up today. Well, spoke with Tanner as soon as I arrived and he right away called his branch manager and asked if he was okay with a one way rental on a debit, to which the branch manager responded right away with a no. Leaving me last minute without a car ! I planned everything around this and made sure multiple times before I picked up that everything was okay and in order. Tanner is very sassy, and has the worst customer service. Why are multiple employees prior to Tanner telling me I'm all good and then the day of I'm denied of renting. I came to this branch because I saw the reviews on the others were not as great but it seems like this one is HORRIBLE. PUBLIC WARNING: Do NOT Rent from Enterprise at Deer Valley, Phoenix, AZ If I could give zero stars, I would. Enterprise, particularly this location under the management of Steven Adelman and Justin, has shown an absolutely astonishing level of negligence, disrespect, and retaliatory behavior. I've rented from them since April 18th, spending thousands of dollars after my insurance coverage ended -- and this is how they treat loyal customers? Let me break this disaster down: * I was given filthy vehicles repeatedly. Vans that smelled like vomit, broken vents, stained interiors, and "cleaned" cars that took me an hour just to make drivable. So much for your "Clean Car Pledge," Enterprise -- more like a dirty car roulette. * Keegan, the employee who originally checked me out, gave my personal information to the car sales division without my permission, resulting in over 10 harassing calls from a salesman named John. Only after escalating to District Manager Lee did it stop -- a clear violation of privacy and trust. * I was bounced between 6 vehicles during one upgrade because most of them were literally unfit to rent. This is your "maintained fleet," Steven? You can't even manage to rent a van that doesn't reek or have busted vents? * I was repeatedly misled. When Justin told me it was "totally fine" to spend $250 tinting windows on a Nissan Altima, he failed to mention that the car was about to be sold by car sales (it had nearly 60,000 miles). Two weeks later, they tell me it's sold and I need to swap -- and somehow I'm the one footing the bill and being punished for their incompetence? * I've driven across multiple states with cars that had serious mechanical issues -- including a brand new Ford Escape with 6,000 miles that started making grinding noises and a Chevy Equinox with a steering wheel that telescoped out and locked, creating a clear safety hazard. I was told to go to the airport location, who then prioritized profit over safety and refused to help. * When I asked to speak to someone above District Manager Lee (who vanished for military duty for weeks), I was told no one knew who to contact. Turns out Alejandro Deleon was the acting DM, and refused to escalate my concern to the Regional VP. A full cover-up operation to avoid accountability. * After all this, when I returned from vacation, Steven refused to even look me in the eye, and then Justin told me they're refusing to rent to me because I "went above their heads" to report how they mishandled everything -- are you kidding me? That's retaliation, plain and simple. This is not customer service -- it's sabotage. I followed their process, gave feedback when asked, and was punished for daring to expect basic professionalism. When I finally brought it in, the technician showed me the engine and cabin air filters--both were disgusting and he said they looked like they hadn't been changed in at least over 18,000 miles (see attached photos). At the time of the oil change, Enterprise refused to cover the cost of the filters. They did eventually reimburse me after seeing how I didn't leave them much of an option. I was just assisted by Ryan Mayne, an assistant manager at your office. I was late in renewing my rental and came in with some trepidation. Mr. Mayne is as personable of a front office manager as one could hope for. He is relaxed and efficient and alleviated my anxiety with his calm and supportive manner from the outset. He had the answers to my questions and concerns before I could even voice them and had me set up and good to go within 5 minutes. Fernando! ONE name that ruins the entire integrity of this organization and THIS location in particular! His label says "manager", but his customer service skills definitely implies otherwise! His subordinates (cause they behave like fearful slaves instead of customer advocates) seem to fail at doing their job without Fernando's approval as well! It's a pathetic excuse for a car rental business! Here's what happened- I picked up a Toyota Corolla on June 3 from Jonathan (management trainee). We reviewed the car for preexisting damages and I asked him, "do you not note these...(pointing to a nick in the windshield and multiple nicks throughout the body of the car)" and he stated, "no, those are too small." It made sense and I took possession of the vehicle. On June 16, that nick in the windshield grew into a crack when I washed and wiped the windshield. Consider, this is Arizona and the temperature that day was 104 degrees. This happens all the time but was the first for a rental in my possession so I immediately called the location I picked up the car from and spoke with Fernando. His reaction was cold and basically 'too bad, you're paying for that' attitude. Unkind but true words were said to Fernando and he displayed his first act of incompetence by hanging up on me. So I called my insurance company and filed a pending report. I returned the car the next day but never received a closed and final rental agreement but did receive a Loss Damage report within minutes of the return. I contacted my insurance again and they advised that the rental agreement was requested from Enterprise 3 times and was not found in their database unless the contract wasn't closed yet. Furthermore, without a response from Enterprise, no action would be taken on the their "loss damage report ". So proactively, I requested the agreement twice via email and once via phone but still never received the contract. I called again today and immediately asked the agent, "don't you provide rental agreements when a car is returned?" She answered, "yes, we send them to the email address on file." I advised her I never received my contract and could she send it to me now? She asked me my phone number and when I gave it to her, she immediately put me on hold. Moments later, guess who came on the line? Yes, FERNANDO! Why? So I advised him I did not want to speak with him and asked if his employee was incapable of performing her job duties and if so, should I contact their corporate office? Fernando continued to argue with me where I finally demanded the woman return to the phone and do her job or I was going to contact their corporate office. Fernando placed me back on hold and the woman returned to the phone immediately stating "Fernando picked up the wrong line" - seriously? She actually resorted to lying??? Anyway, she finally stated she'd be sending my contract "right now"...I thanked her and hung up. My insurance and I are STILL waiting for the contract... Naturally, before I even returned the vehicle, I decided to never rent from Enterprise again! But Fernando thought to make himself feel better by calling me back to advise me "you've been placed on our do-not-rent list..." but I interrupted him and said "THANK GOD...but you wasted your time cause I willingly withdrew from ever renting from Enterprise again. You did me a favor!" Apparently he either didn't expect my response or didn't appreciate it because he hung up on me (again). Like I said, this adolescent child needs major help with his customer service skills! Can I recommend Hertz? P.S. - PLEASE read the other reviews and PLEASE heed every warning, especially in matters regarding the windshields! Do not speak with the supervisor Fernando/Fernandez!!!!!!!. I just want to say how much of a liar and a predator he is. He deserves to be fired or replaced because everyone at that location besides him seem to have their head on straight except him, most likely due to him abusing his power and thinking that he's untouchable by treating customers unfair and getting away with it. I got exceptional help from one of the employees I don't want to name in fear he'll get fired. He was very kind gave me all information about the reservation and the process and made sure to answer any questions I may have asked and we were all done with the paperwork. Unfortunately he had his lunch break scheduled and had to go. He informed me that they're still cleaning the car because that's what I was waiting for at the time and warned me to give him a call if I have any issues or if the situation is taking too long but he assured me it shouldn't and the vehicle is almost done while giving me his card if I need to call. Why would he warn me of the wait? Oh I was sure about to find out! After waiting 30 minutes watching people come in and leave with their cars, I decided to go and ask whatever his name is I believe Fernando is the car ready? Needless to say he seemed annoyed and responded passive aggressively with "are you ready to make the payment because that's what I was waiting on", mind you the gentleman earlier already confirmed my ride and payment method informing me I couldn't use prepaid debit cards. However after Fernando told me that i showed him multiple debit cards not prepaid cards and he refused to take the payment. I then told him I know discover doesn't have prepaid cards so this should work which he accepted. Unfortunately I didn't use that card much and there were no physical banks for my bank so I had to go to Walmart. I asked for a Lyft and he says they didn't have divers which I didn't believe because there were plenty of employees not doing much of anything, but none the less I said nothing and walked all the way to Walmart to load my card. He was probably hoping I wouldn't make it back because they closed soon and he knew I didn't have a ride myself. Lucky I make it back in time, ready to make the security deposit payment with one of my many DEBIT cards. Fernando then proceeds to tell me a LIE that my car wasn't at the shop and that I, the customer, should call them and do his job for him. I refused so eventually he does his job and calls the shop to find out that my car WAS IN FACT at that the same body shop it has been at, so it was there! Of course I'm flustered at this point and I'm ready to get the rental and go. But no! Fernando then tells me another LIE saying how the insurance cancelled the reservation and that they won't pay for it etc. as some sort of scare tactic? Then tells me, the customer, again to do HIS job for him and call them because of what he was telling me. I'm even more disturbed at that point so then he decides to tell me since I'm mad and I don't want to call them he won't help me out! I've done nothing wrong to this guy and was very nice since I walked into the establishment and now for his own personal gain he says he doesn't have to give me service! I should have just left at that point but of course I just want to get my rental even after someone saw me struggling and told me they were just going through the same thing at another location. So I call insurance just to double check if and of course they never canceled my reservation or anything of that nature Fernando was saying. My insurance told me I should leave but I insisted on showing him proof that I know he's lying so I walked back in with my insurance on the phone and they both confirmed nothing happened or was canceled and he still refused to help me for his of selfish childish reasons! I have never met this person in my life and I guarantee he hasn't met me so his behavior toward me was more then wrong! If enterprise has any integrity they will get rid of this guy for the good of everyone that has been mistreated my him and wrote bad reviews of him and for the good of the company. Great service again at this location. This time they rescued me from a near disaster created by the location in Bell Rd. I needed to rent a pick up truck for a 24 hour drive (Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon) to California and back. This location closes at 1:00 on Saturday and I did not think I would be back in time. I reserved the truck from Bell Rd. I called on Friday, an your before scheduled pick up to make sure everything was in order. Right before ending the call, the agent said he needed to check something. When he came back to the phone he told me they did not have a truck. A quick scramble ensued I ended up renting the truck from this location (19th ave). They were great and honored a one day rental, because I would have returned it within one day to the location that dropped the ball. What a waste of a trip to this Enterprise. We had made reservations for a compact car, and was confirmed the car was available the day before. When we got to Enterprise, the day of, we were told a compact car was unavailable and the only car available was a van, which is not a compact car. Needless to say, we left with no car rented. What is the point of making a reservation if you can't get a car that you reserved???? This is poor customer service, and unacceptable way to do business Update...18 days later..as requested by their company, I sent an email to the email address provided to me, and was I informed a manager would get back to me. Usually Enterprise does a good job. However I had a very poor experience at this rental office (24333 N 19th Ave). My insurance company setup a full size rental while my vehicle is in the body shop. As instructed I called the day before to setup a pick up time at the body shop to start the rental. The "agreed" time was 8:15 the next morning, I was told to call when ready at the body shop. After checking in at the body shop I called the enterprise office at 8:05 and I was told someone would be there in 10-15 minutes. At 8:30 called again and was told the driver had just left a few minutes ago and should be there in 5 minutes. Around 9:00 am a business development person from Enterprise showed up to promote Enterprise rentals to the body shop. Upon hearing about my issue he drove me to to rental office by 9:15 where I found that no one had yet left to pick me up. This is terrible customer service. Instead of making statements " will be there in 15" or "he just left" I should have been told the truth about the amount of time it would take to be picked up. The body shop offered couple of times to take me to Enterprise. Which I declined because they "were on the way. I was paid lip service by Enterprise which kept telling me that they want to make things right for me and exceed my expectations. Honesty would have gone a long ways in meeting my expectations of a rental company. It would have been a none issue to be told the truth about the pick up time. The body shop would have given me a ride. So instead of a good review Enterprise gets a 1 star because you cannot give zero star. Aka avoid this place at all costs. This is a review for having to rent a car last minute 2 weeks ago I rented from here rental went smooth. We did return rental phone was in the pocket and didn't get notified of found phone.. now I go to Rent last minute and the rep was very nice at first when I asked that the vehicle needed to have a hitch he said I need to have a major credit card to rent that. Not asking me upfront do you have a major credit card. This is what you call profiling automatically assuming I don't have a credit card to use because I handed him a debit card to rent the vehicle. At this point he is giving me 2 options on the suv all at the same time has me waiting in the hot sun and also the vehicle he handed me was so dirty and I had to point out what he had already cleared as a clean rental and no breakage when the driver set wires were all exposed. Shame on me For giving this person my rental Money I should have gone else where with my credit card that I could have used there had he not approached me With his assumptions. I only stuck to the rental due to last minute arrangements I had to make but even then I pointed out duties that he should have done himself. I had to walk back in to tell him about the wires!!! CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! After using Enterprise for years I WILL NEVER give them my business again! After being in an accident I rented a vehicle from them when my car was in the shop. When I picked it up, we went over the vehicle to make sure there was no damage (larger than a silver dollar - using their template). They explained to me that anything smaller than that is not considered "damage." When I picked up the vehicle, there was a large area on the windshield that appeared to have been "repaired" as well as another chip, smaller than a dime. A few days prior to returning the vehicle, I got a rock in the windshield that left a star smaller than a dime. For the few days I drove it, it did not change or expand at all. On the day I was to return the vehicle, I dropped it off at the collision center and Enterprise said they would pick it up there. Less than thirty minutes after I dropped off the car, Enterprise called me and told me that there was a crack in the windshield, larger than a dollar bill, and I was responsible. THERE IS NO WAY THAT IT WOULD HAVE SPREAD THAT MUCH IN THAT AMOUNT OF TIME when it had stayed the same for the days leading up to that day. They clearly wanted to replace that windshield on my dime and I am utterly disgusted at their shady, unethical and corrupt practices. They informed me that they would run the claim through my insurance and if they did not cover it, that they would charge it to the card that I have on file with them from renting the vehicle. Unbelievable & highly disappointing! Another lesson learned; I should have taken the car directly to the enterprise location so we could have looked at the car together. NEVER AGAIN! This was the absolute worst car rental experience I have ever encountered. We spent thousands of dollars on a vacation, included in that was a minivan rental. I was told the day of my family vacation that the reservation would be canceled unless I wanted to rent 2 cars (pay gas for both to get 8 people out of town) or they would cancel the reservation. The branch manager, Fernando, confirmed I would be "SOL" unless I got a credit card to upgrade my reservation and pay more money for bigger "premium" vehicle. Luckily I had a friend to help me last minute, and the assistant manager was great, we had ended up leaving 2 hours late but at least I, the customer, found MY OWN solution! Fernando was ridiculous and only cares about a sale. That wasn't the end of the fiasco. It's been a week since I returned the rental, what do I find looking at my bank statement, a random 13$ enterprise charge. When I called to ask why I was charged, they claimed it wasn't them, then after "further investigation" they spoke with their risk department who advised that some of their customers fall victim to fraud when using credit cards! WTF. She literally tried to explain to me how to fight the fraud case through my bank because there was nothing they were responsible for. Holy crap! I will definitely stick with Hertz going forward. I am writing a one star review hoping to catch the eye of someone at Enterprise Corporate. What is happening to your company??? As a long time Enterprise car renter, I am sooo disappointed with my last car rental experience with your company!!! Still loves: the prompt pick up and drop off service- thumbs up. The quick and easy check in and check out- thumbs up. The cleanliness of the cars- thumbs up. Thumbs down: 1. I was given a car that had cosmetic blemishes on the car- minor issue and I was okay as long as the car worked . . . but when did car rental companies start to rent less than perfect cars? 2. The interior fabric of the car seats was stained- again, when did car rental companies start to rent less than perfect cars? 3. I love going to Enterprise cause everyone dresses in a suit. This time, the men were dressed in a suit but there was one woman there dressed in . . . grunge style clothing??? I felt like asking was there a rave going on in the back parking lot??? Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the costumer service and knowledge of the reps. I ended up renting for 40 days. READ the big 4-0. And no one once mentioned to me about the Enterprise Plus loyalty program. Renting for 40 days puts you past the Plus, Silver statuses and get you right into the Gold status and no one mentions it to me??? To make matters worse, when I called this location and spoke to one of the managers name Nate he tells me he doesn't know much about the loyalty program, does not know what the benefits are and he actually said to me he has nothing to do with the loyalty program. Hmmm, he does work for Enterprise and he knows how businesses thrive by cultivating costumer loyalty, right? Right??? Unless this guy Nate is a personal relative of the Enterprise family, he should be demoted or retrained or something. I could not believe my ears. Now, apparently, after many minutes on the phone to "central location", because no one bothered to tell me about the Enterprise Plus program as I was renting or paying at this local location, I can only get credit for rentals the last 30 days grandfathered into my account. Which means I will miss out on 19 days of rental which means I will not get my Gold status which adds up to one frustrated and unhappy costumer. Come on, Enterprise- honestly, I've been renting from you since 1986- every single time I've needed a car, I rent from you. Make me happy and give me my 40 days of rental added to my loyalty card and train your employees properly!!! I want to love you with all my heart again!!! read more

Our high school rents a truck here every week to haul our Organization's trailer. This location is consistent each week and is easy to work with, no nickel and diming, clean facility, and reliable 1 ton truck. Lately I drive and return the truck each week. They appear to have box trucks at this location as well. I'm not sure how many of each truck is available as this does not appear to be a huge facility. Call well-ahead and reserve to be safe. Enterprise saw my review and did what the old Enterprise had always done--made things right. We were given a truck at no charge, including the fuel, and told to use it as long as we needed. The apology for the original issues was more than I had expected. I must say, I am back to being an Enterprise Exclusive Renter. I am happy I have my old Enterprise back, and look forward to my next rental with this fine company read more

Wanted to take a moment to give this great team their due. We went to pick up our rental vehicle after an accident less than hour before close of business. It was a record heat day and the line was all but out the door. The team worked quickly and with excellent service for all. They were friendly, kind and informative. They even handled a couple of bad eggs with grace and dignity while not just rolling over for them. Justin did a great job of taking care of us, but the whole team showed the kind of customer service that used to be the standard but seems, in so many ways, to be collateral damage of a post pandemic world. Really appreciate these young men and ladies who truly made their organization look better than it ever has for us. We have rented cars in the past but this, by far, was the best experience to date, even though the wait was as long as it had ever been. This should be the standard by which all Enterprise locations gauge themselves. read more

Amazing service. Had to get a rental while dealing with my car being at Service King (that's a whole 'nother review ) for repairs. Michele, the manager, provides AMAZING customer service as does the rest of the team. It was an insurance situation and Michele was the only one to communicate with me through the process. Geico who?! Everything with Enterprise was quick and super efficient. They are the only place I rent from just because of their service. read more

First off, when i walked in NO ONE had a mask on until they heard me say excuse me. Getting the rental was fine until I drove away and seen how filthy it was. They did not wipe the car and clean it. It was filthy with make up all over the seats. Fingers and handprints, with COVID going on they should be doing a good job. When I complained to the guy and went to swap it, the guys feelings got hurt when i called them out And said they needed to do a better job Protecting their clients. He was rude, arrogant and decided he didn't want to rent to me. I called the manager and he was useless and protective of his lousy employee. Had no interest in actually finding out what actually Transpired. What a crappy store, with crappy employees and horrible Management and cleanliness. What a joke. I've done so much business with this company. Never again. read more

You had one job - provide my rental car. The reservation was taken and confirmed online but when I arrived the bad news was delivered: we have no cars, and they were not willing to call to other locations to find one. As a wise comedian once said - they know how to 'take' the reservation, but they don't know how to 'hold' the reservation. And that's the most important part! read more

I reserved a car to use to drive to California, and got a flat tire soon after I picked up the car. They instantly helped me by removing the charge for that car, giving me a different car to use, and took a day off of our final charge for the replacement car. An attendant named Cassandra went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable, and she made a really difficult situation so much easier. read more
