They instantly helped me by removing the charge for that car, giving me a different car to use, and took a day off of our final charge for the replacement car. I was running behind schedule and called in prior to them closing, he said don't rush take your time bring the car back in the morning at no charge. That reduced my speed limit and stress. Poor and inconsistent service. Rates are high with requirements other rental companies dont have not to mention it was like they were doing me a favor for me to spend 600 bucks with them. Don't even try to rent if you use a debit card need everything from references, utility statements and first born. I'm currently in a rental car provided by this location and my experience has been extremely poor. My review comes from the bottom of my heart and I truly assumed that this would be a pleasant experience based on the experience I have had with ERAC in the past. I was rear ended and coincidentally the person who rear ended me had the same insurance as me, USAA. I set up my rental near the repair shop because they will come pick you up, but I waited over an hour for someone to come pick me up. The challenge started right there with an hour wait when the location is a quarter of a mile from the shop. From there I was put in a small size SUV, a Chevy Equinox when my USAA had me set up for the largest SUV to be comparable to what I normally drive. The issue is I have five children and including my husband, seven people that we need to seat. I drive an Infiniti QX 80 and I felt that I deserve something comparable. The manager, Evan made no attempt to accommodate me the only thing I got was that he'll let me know when something comes in. I called daily because at this point I'm leaving my two oldest children at home, driving my three youngest children to school, driving all the way back home to take my two oldest children to school and then home. We had plans for the pumpkin patch and the zoo, but we weren't able to make it and the family events we could go to had to require us driving two separate vehicles. No one cared about this, it was not their problem. I called other locations and I spoke with different managers and they did explain that there was a shortage, but they also explained that the location I received my vehicle from should have been trying everything to accommodate me. I spoke with a young lady at the Avondale location and she assured me that she would not stop until she found a vehicle that would fit my family. After a week I called the location that I originally got my car from and was told that they had some minivans. I'm calling every day and I'm promised and that I will receive a call when they have a vehicle visible, but no one called. I'm told to stop calling that they will call me and because of my nagging I finally get a vehicle. No one called me as promised. My issue is with the quality of service because not only am I a USAA member, but I am an ERAC long time customer. USAA provides discounts through Enterprise and I have rented with them since I was the age of 21 because they allow drivers under 25 to rent. Every family vacation, every work trip, and even when my car was in the shop for mechanical repairs are used ERAC and had great service. Now, because I am the other person in a claim I'm not being treated as a customer, I'm not being respected as a client, and I'm not being treated as a USAA member. I'm being treated as someone that got rear ended and I'm paying the price. Do you know how hard it is after being in an accident and being hurt and then having to give your car up that has everything you need in it to take care of your children and to get them to dance and to get them to soccer and to get them to class and you have to give it up for a month only to be treated like some secondhand person that has never supported the business. I am appalled and I am hurt and I have never been treated this way and I don't appreciate it. I am happy to throw away my 15 year relationship with enterprise and I will no longer patronize this business because of this garbage treatment. I tried everything and I had to do all the work and still was not treated the way they promised to treat customers and I know the values of this company because I sat on hold for 20 minutes a day waiting to find a vehicle that I could fit my family in and the hold message explains the values and how you should be treated as a customer and I was not treated that way. This was an extremely poor experience and should I ever find myself in a similar situation I will gladly pay out-of-pocket to patron another rental company especially when it comes to vacation and any other rental needs my family will have in the future. read more

Super happy with my experience! Nick was amazing! When my vehicle was totaled, Enterprise hooked me up. Check in was seamless, and with all the chaos I ended up returning a few minutes after closing. Nick was beyond gracious, staying late to help me out. I had a crack in the windshield that he helped me handle, and he made the check in process amazingly quick. This Enterprise location is pretty good. It's small, and the selection is scarce, but when you reserve ahead, they should have what you request. That didn't happen for us, though. We reserved a compact car in March for our week-long road trip Phoenix to LA to San Francisco (via Hwy 1) to LA (via I-5) to Phoenix. The renter ahead of us got the last compact vehicle (a Toyota Yaris that we later saw her struggling to fit her bicycle in), so they offered us a few alternatives. At no extra cost, a Chrysler 200 or a Ford Edge; or, for $10 more per day, a Nissan Altima. We wanted a small car for the gas mileage benefit, but the agent assured us that the Edge also got decent mileage with it's EcoBoost engine. So, for the added space and comfort, we chose the Edge. On the return of our trip, check-in was quick and the agent was just as nice as before. We rented another car a few weeks ago for a weekend trip to LA and we experienced the same type of service as the first, so I'm confident that this location is consistent with regards to their service. One tip, though, for any rental. If you reserve several weeks in advance, continue to check the rates. My initial quote 3 weeks in advance was $140 for an intermediate sized car. After changing the reservation a couple times over the 3 weeks, the final quote was around $87 for a full size car (2 classes higher than the initial). read more

Ok, this is about how bad their employees are. I was having a bad morning at Fiat of Scottsdale and when I found out that the shuttle wouldn't be there I decided to rent a car(I wish I weren't so frustrated at the time, I'd have called Uber and saved myself a LOT of trouble). So the guy that works for Enterprise and the gent at Fiat make a mistake and don't use the RO# which saves you big on the deposit. I own a small PC repair company and have a PT job to supplement our income, so money can be tight. When we couldn't do two days for the $250.00 deposit, he did the one day with the $100.00 deposit. I get the car and go home. The next day I take it back to this location, Deer Valley. He does whatever he is supposed to do, hands me a receipt, and tells me that it was around 63 and change. There will be around 35 put back from the hold, then the charge goes through. I look at my bank account this morning and the $100.00 hold is now a charge, and it messed my budget all up, two overdraft fees. So after work, I call this location and explain. Matt says to me, that yesterday they just did what they always do and charged me, yet the guy at the Fiat location didn't put a hold, he actually charged me the deposit. He doesn't apologize or attempt to diffuse me at all. So I told Matt since I have now talked to him, I will write his corporate office. I am not paying for their mistake, they are. When I told this to Matt, he has the nerve to tell me that if they see that I disputed anything, they will flag me and never rent me a car again. LOL. Like I would EVER use Enterprise again!!! Two locations messed up. Matt should have offered to fix it, yet he just wanted to try and bully me with the whole "You won't be able to rent a car from us again". Well, I am disputing it as we speak, and Chase cannot believe how Enterprise treated this case. Update - 2:08p.m. - Just spoke with a CSR at Enterprise. Explained everything, they will see what is needed to fix this. Chase, my bank in the mean time gave me back the overdraft fees and the money I had sent over from my Paypal credit as a buffer. Once Enterprise fixes the charge on their end, all is fixed and I learned a LOT of lessons this week. I won't ever rent a car again, when I can call Uber and avoid all deposits etc. I won't ever expect the car dealership to have the shuttle they say they have. The tiny bit of trust i gave folks until this happened, will be retracted, no more trusting people at all to do the right thing. What a hassle this entire ordeal has been. Had a very bad experience for the first timer. I rented the car on Thursday 12-Dec-2013 at 5.30PM as my friend said that Enterprise has tie up with his garage shop and would give me a discount for that. At the time of me renting the car and taking full insurance cover, the guy name Chris didn't tell me that it would be a calender day billing. So instead of 4 days they have charged me for 5 days. When asked for it he said he can not do anything about it. And the discount I got was $8 per day and they charged me $73 per day with full cover. If I would have known this I would have rented the car next day instead of 5.30PM when they were closing at 6PM. I AM NOT GOING TO THEM AGAIN AND TELL MY FRIENDS THAT THIS IS HOW THEY CHEAT FIRST TIMERS. I feel extremely compelled to leave this review because enterprise Rent-A-Car used to be a excellent agency. I don't know what has happened in the last few years but there must've been some sort of change. I reserved a full-size car today only to be disappointed when I got to this location by being offered a small car. When I questioned the agent about needing a bigger car all he would tell me is that a Nissan Ultima is a full-size car and that's what they have. I got upset and told him just cancel the whole reservation and quickly just handed me back my credit card and ID without even trying to explain any further or offer me some sort of alternative. I left there feeling insignificant and unappreciative of the way I was treated. I called back and spoke to the manager, Eric, and his attitude was even worse. I have waited since September 25 to get a response from multiple emails and messages to try and complain about the horrible roadside service From Enterprise rent a car!! I rented a car on Friday evening and by Saturday afternoon- evening the engine lights came on! Check engine, antilock brake,and skid!!! I was on the eastern side of Arizona 4 1/2 hours from home, and they left us without a car!!! They said they would send a tow and send a new car the next day... i got a messaged saying the tow would be there in an hour.. 2 hours later I got a text saying thank you for canceling my service!!!! Waited all night after calling them!! Never came.. never sent a new car!!!! I called multiple times... all day Sunday!!!Finally had find someone to take us home to Phoenix.. 20$ an hour plus gas!!! They trip took almost 9 hours for the person to bring us back and go back up to Springerville!!!! The service was totally crap.. I'm still pissed off! I'm out a bunch of money for nothing!!! Nobody will respond to me.. so now I'm taking it to social media!! Piece of crap service... never again !!! Pathetic Service at this Enterprise !! 1. First of all they said they could not do the pick up because pick ups are only for weekdays and not for weekends , If that is the case why not put that on their website ?? 2. Secondly when i reached there i was told i wont be able to get a car since i did not have a passport . I had my Phoenix Instruction permit + my international driving permit + indian driving license . Still he says he needs my passport to verify my international driving permit ???? . how will the DMV issue an instruction permit without verifying my passport ? when i ask this "over-friendly" rep about this he says he does not know how the DMV works 3. when i offer to get my passport but since it was 11 40 on a sat morning ( i came in late because i had to ask my friend to drop me there since there was no pick up !!!! ) .he said he cant wait beyond 12 not even for 5 minutes . I have been to multiple enterprises in California and they have been extremely friendly and quick at service and even the one in phoenix ( bell road ) is really good but this one is pathetic and racist . Not only this time around , even on the labour day they made me wait for 3 hours to get a car since they had this apparent sudden huge rush ! . cant they anticipate it being a long weekend .. what nonsense . We rented it for 2 days but returned earlier and the manager charged us for one day only. I had a pretty frustrating experience here. I was placed in a rental from the at fault party's insurance company so I didn't choose this company. My car's repairs were only going to take 5 days, which for body work is pretty short, yet a day into my rental, I received a call from Enterprise stating that I needed to bring the rental back ASAP. Apparently they sold the rental issued to me and needed it back. As a busy working mom of 3 kids in car seats, having to to make an extra trip to gas up, come in and have to switch everything over into yet another vehicle was not ideal. After their oversight I was placed in a smaller vehicle and not told how to open the trunk, Seems like no big deal until you have a cart full of groceries to sandwich under your kid's feet. Not a customer friendly location especially if you are a busy person. I have rented from different locations before. I usually get my e-receipts on their website under my account. If I don't find it there I call the location and they email it to me. This location didn't post the receipt on the website. When I called them they didn't seem to care if I couldn't find or email it to me. They need me visit their location. He doesn't care if I have National Car Rentals' Emerald Executive Elite membership ( Enterprise , I believe is sister concern of National ) or Enterprise e-plus membership. read more

After mentioning that I required a USB and audio connection, we picked a car that appeared to have that, as it was labeled! After driving away, I found it was like a standard factory "option" plate that had no internal "guts"... it was just a square hole that said "USB" with no actual connection inside. Anyway, I came back and they got me on my way quickly with another car, and it was totally not their fault as the car appeared to have it, but even upon returning the car, their courtesy and professionalism was the absolute best one could hope for in any business. Today I went to Enterprise to renew a car rental and I was NEVER so desensitized as a consumer. What they did to me and my family has no description. Explorers and do not respect the consumer. I NEVER want to pass by the door of this company and wherever I can (online and personally), I will report the way I was treated by the company. Do NOT rent your car at this location. The company did not inform us that there was an additional 200 dollar hold on the car for "safety" until we were packed and in the car completing the payment process. When we asked them to waive the fee they said no. We asked to go speak to a manager. He blatantly and rudely said "There's nothing he can do". We called the corporate complain department who and spoke to a man who is frankly one of the most ignorant human beings in customer service (David). When we told him it was unethical to not tell people about the hold while making the reservation, he disagreed and said he's been doing this for 10 years and there's always a hold as if we should have known better. He made no attempt to help us, his tone was callous and rude, and said the best he could do was "open a complaint" with the area supervisor. Needles to say I hung up in him. It's clear enterprise has ZERO respect for their customers and in no way try to help them. The young men at this location could have cared less that we were upset. I will NEVER rent from enterprise again, and I'll be sure to tell everyone in the area not to use them. read more
