    I called Enterprise, and was connected to the office in St. Louis to book my rental. They told me…read morecertain cars at a certain price level would be available to me. However, upon arrival there was only one car in that price range...a two door. The two people I was driving are old and have mobility issues. I told the gentleman helping me, and he made a joke about how they might like the hemi which I found inappropriate. He then offered me a bigger vehicle, but I would have had to pay more. Not good customer service. Also, the regional office told me I receive 5% off for being a AAA member, but that was not true. However, the Vincennes office was great to work with around this issue. Also, the same man cleaned my vehicle if that's what you could call it. The vehicle had a distinct not great smell, and there were stains in the back from what looked like someone sprayed cleaner in but didn't bother to wipe it off. The vehicle did not have the customary floor mats. Despite the flaws in communication between the St. Louis office and this office, the very capable and understanding woman that works in the office made things right with me. She continued to offer upstanding customer service and was very patient with my issues. My satisfaction was her top priority! If you deal with anyone, deal with her because I truly believe she is the only one there that knows what she is doing. Get some more competent employees to help this poor woman! Especially on a Saturday morning! As an aside, the people renting from this location are especially rude. If you are a female from out of town, prepare to be stared at by the male locals like you are from Mars. If only the woman is working, be prepared to see blatant sexism and rudeness from the older gentleman customers.

Dustin Lyndsey is the manager that we spoke to who was unwilling to work with customers that he knows are being ripped off. We needed to turn our vehicle in before 11am on Sat to not be charged an additional day. Online website stated the company closed at 1pm. (See picture provided). We turned the vehicle in at 12:30pm, knowing we would be charged an additional day. However, the business had closed at 12pm and no one was there to accept the vehicle (see picture). There's a very unprofessional, half-hazardly placed piece of tape covering the "1pm" close time and has "12pm" written on it. Very convenient that you know a vehicle is due to be turned in today and you decide to close an hour early. Although this was concerning to us, we saw other Yelp reviews and figured the manager was a trustworthy person and would be able to work with us when he opened up again. We turned the vehicle in by leaving the keys in the drop box. Next thing we know, our debit card is charged over $500 by Monday morning! Families like ours that save their money to travel and visit family once a year don't have $500 laying around to pay off rental car companies with shady hours and management unwilling to acknowledge that there was an issue with the way they post their hours. Considering the overall experience we had with Dustin refusing to work with us, the lack of workers at the pick up location, and the loss of savings we just experienced, we will never use Hertz again and will make it a point to tell everyone about this horrible experience. We will be contacting higher Hertz management as well.

Wouldn't even let me talk to a manager. I am not leaving in the same car with issues and hoping I make it to the destination in one piece. This is after speaking with the 1 800 number and then telling me to go to the airport to swap it out. Worst ever.

My wife called many hours before and spoke to Avis National even though she dialed the Avis Evansville number. The person she spoke to ensured with our confirmed reservation she would make certain that she would inform the Evansville Avis about our later arrival and that someone would be available to get us our rental car. They would not leave until the last customer got their rental we were told. Well, our flight got in at 8:30pm on time and no one was at the Avis desk. Wife called again and they tried to see if there was another Avis in the area that was open. The staff at Enterprise in the next booth over said that they aren't coming back until tomorrow but we could check to see if any of the contracts on the wall were ours. Of course they weren't. My wife got tired of Avis and thankfully we got a full refund. We went to Enterprise who were able to assist us but at a cost of $200 over what we intended to pay for the original rental at Avis. We needed a car, and had to take the hit for the last minute rental. Not happy one bit with Avis. If you have a flight that gets in past 7pm, don't bother with Avis at Evansville. I'm also ticked that the National hotline said they'd help us out but it certainly doesn't look like they did anything. All I get from Avis now are a bunch of emails trying to get my business.

I am very happy that me and my wife found the enterprise car rental place in Bedford indiana. They are absolutely amazing there. Yesterday I had to rent the car for another week. But I met the manager over the store. She was the best part of my long morning after work. She made the new rental agreement very nice and fun to be completely honest. After the experience we had at the Bloomington enterprise. We were very disappointed with how those employees spoke to us... but then the heroes at Bedford completely saved the day with their warm welcomes and friendly staff. If anyone needs to rent a vehicle make sure you go to the enterprise in Bedford. You will be happy that you did.

I was given the option of a 15 passenger van... for real. And was told by someone over the phone to call the Bloomington office myself. I have called 5 enterprises in a 50 mile radius and no one has the size vehicle we need traveling with 5 kids to Florida! Bedford should be ashamed at the lack of consideration they have for peoples travel plans. We have paid thousands for this trip and have no vehicle to get there now. Waiting for a phone call from the district manager. That place is hardly busy, and for something like this to slip unnoticed is a shame.

Despite the situation being completely out of their control, the team at the Fulton Avenue Downtown location in Evansville went above and beyond to help. Alea and Oliviya worked every possible angle to find me a replacement. They located a van in Kentucky, personally went to pick it up after their store was supposed to close, and even cleaned it themselves so I could get on the road for my trip. I truly appreciate the level of customer service they showed. Their willingness to go the extra mile--literally and figuratively--did not go unnoticed. I would absolutely recommend the Fulton Downtown location every time.

The blonde lady upfront answered every single question and helped me to understand everything. Rented the hybrid jeep and thought it wasn't started back up, the man came down the road to me to help. They go above and beyond here and THATS HOW YOU KEEP CUSTOMERS! Thank you guys and I appreciate everything. I do have a car now, but I may be renting the jeep in the future in the summer. Now your detailing needs to be folding those seats down because they seem to rush but only takes two seconds.
