It's shocking that corporate has not intervened. I noticed and called after I picked up the car, but they were closed so I called the next morning. They assured me it would be removed, but it was not. I also noticed that my car wasn't quite full, but marked as full. I think that the pace they work at is all part of the scam. The line was not abnormally long, but the time in between customers was. The staff noticeably was going extra slow in between people, so by the time you finally get up there, you just sign and leave. The car, for being almost brand new, had issues. The key kept saying not detected randomly, half the time you started the car and put it in drive, it just was off (it was a hybrid) and the rear seatbelt sensor went off with nothing back there. Make sure to pay attention! Total scam artists!!!

Thank you, Tim. *** Original Post: This was the worst customer service I ever experienced, and I'm a very experienced traveler. The customer service representative asked me where I would be staying during my visit. I didn't understand the purpose of the question, which struck me as invasive so I asked for clarification on why they needed to know... i.e., was it a policy, required, etc. The employee put her hand on her hip and sarcastically responded, "'Cause I'm about to give you one of our $30,000 vehicles.. So I need to know where you'll be." I said again I wanted to understand the policy before I would give out personal information. She repeated the same sarcastic answer. I asked to speak with her manager. When the manager came over I explained the situation. The employee said I was cussing at her. Now I had said she was being a smart ass, although I'm not sure that constitutes "cussing" at someone. The employee continued to be rude in front of the manager, snickering, making scoffing noises, and otherwise goading me. I asked the manager, who is Melissa Natanni if she was observing this rude behavior and Ms. Natanni said she would not honor the reservation since I had used the word ass, and that made her uncertain as to whether or not I would be safe to drive. And so Alamo would not honor the reservation I had made weeks ago. I called the 800-number and they said they were powerless to override franchise decisions but that they were sorry for the poor customer service I received and would escalate my complaint. However, since it was Friday evening, no one would get back to me until the following week. All around, the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The whole thing is a hot mess. They don't know how to keep a reservation. I just want to take my kids to my mom's house and I'm sitting here waiting at 12:47 in the morning. The guy said that I can exchange the vehicle tomorrow perhaps but that involves a lot of work on my part is a giant pain in the butt.

Had my code ready as I walked in. There were three working. Not one greeted me when I walked in. When I finally got to talk to someone I felt like I wasn't even there half the time. Twice during my check in she answered the phone and stayed on the phone helping the person all the while I'm sitting right in front of her thinking, I'm right here, shouldn't you be helping me? Check in took over a half hour even though I had everything pre filled out and should have just signed and drove. Ok the car, yes they did give me a Mini Cooper and I thought it was going to be fun. Turned out to be the biggest worry of the trip. So as I have never driven one of these I didn't really know what was supposed to be lit on the dash. I saw the brake lite on as we were leaving so stopped down the road to check that I didn't have the parking brake on. It was not so just continued the hour drive to where we were staying. The next day after I turn the car on, a warning comes on saying there is a problem with the brakes and drive moderately. You have to hit a nob to turn this off and get to the radio. So instead of driving to explore the area, I only used the car when we absolutely had to. We worried when we drove that we wouldn't be able to stop in an emergency. When I dropped the car back off, again a mess. I stood in the middle of the room without an person saying they will be right with me. After awhile, this lady walked in behind me and the girl at the desk immediately asks if she is dropping off. I actually had to say, I've been standing here this whole time trying to drop the car off. That got her to help me. Wow what horrible service. Now when I got to talk to them. I tell them about the brakes. They tried to sell me this story that they just had the car to a garage and they must have forgotten to reset the light. Now this is total BS, what garage would fix brakes and forget to clear the warning. I told them this much and the fact that when you turn the car on, you have to take a step to clear the message on the screen. Which was done as it wasn't there when we first got in. I got no explanation about this. At this point we had no time and had to get to the airport. Avoid this location if you can.

I first want to start out that i will never rent from enterprise rent-a-car ever again. one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with. We went with them because they happen to have the best deal but unfortunately like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". I flew into punta gorda airport and received my first car of the trip, a 2016 jeep compass. Vehicle was great no issues at first. We were staying in marco island florida about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. I was late and dark so we did not notice any issues at first except the oil light being on and having a message on the dash about needing it changed. We arrived to our destination and the following day upon entering the vehicle we found the jeep infested with ants. Not just a few but 100's of ants on the seats,coming out of the vents, covering the steering wheel and dash. Being 1 hour and 20 mins away from the original airport i attempted to contact the closer locations, 1 being in Marco island and the other 4 being in Naples. The gentleman in Marco by the name of "Evan" was the only helpful friendly rep i dealt with, however Marco being a small location he was unable to assist as they had no cars left. I finally contacted the punta gorda airport location and dealt with a very friendly woman by the name of "susan". she made every attempt to find me a car closer than the airport. Eventually she cam back on the line and stated that a manager there by the name of "Tara" stated that she would give me a new car, one free day of rental and credit the gas fee if i came back, i was a little unhappy that they wanted me to drive a car infested with ants 1 hour and 20 minutes away. I did anyway. When i arrived i was met by a gentleman at the counter that was very dry and not very helpful, basically downgraded me to a smaller car being a Chrysler 200. When i became upset and asked to speak to "Tara" i was first told that she wasn't in that day. Then when i asked him about the items i was promised on the phone he stated " i don't know about all that, I'm just getting you a new car" again i asked to speak to "Tara" and he then told me she was outside dealing with a customer and she would call me before the end of the day. I was wasting an entire day of my vacation so i said forget it and left. The second vehicle being the Chrysler 200 was on empty for gas so immediately i had to put in $25 dollars worth of gas. Not very happy! I drove the 1 hour and 20 mins back to Marco Island and by the time i had arrived "Tara" had called and left a voicemail inquiring about the interaction. Unfortunately it did not give a number to call her back so i was unable to speak to her fully. The next day i got up to run an errand and low and behold i find the second vehicle infested with ants worse than the first vehicle. This time i was furious, wasting time i could be spending with family to deal with this. Ironically "Evan" from the Marco iland location contacted me wanting to follow up on if i had gotten a second vehicle yet, i explained that i had and that it too was infested with ants. He told me to come right over and that he had a nice vehicle for me. I drove over and was upgraded to a nissan altima, my third rental car. The car was super clean and had no ants. I did ask "Evan" about the fact that i had put $25 dollars of gas in the second car and i wanted to be reimbursed. He stated he would add that to the email and it shouldn't be a problem. Vacation ended, so did my business with Enterprise. Look elsewhere. read more

There is an airport tax at the Punta Gorda airport 45% add on, so be aware of this when being quoted a price. The car we received was very hard to drive for me, the wipers just streaked and in Florida with the hard rain everyday it was difficult to see. read more

The owner was always in contact with us and met us Thursday night at the campsite and setup the camper, showed us around and explained everything we needed to know to make our use of the trailer 100% satisfactory. If you see in the pictures i posted, the trailer next to us was a family member who also rented a camper from them. The process was great, the attention was excellent.
