After ending up getting towed to a Tacoma mechanic's shop, had to rent a car. It was late afternoon on a Saturday.Not as easy as expected due to lack of availability. Ended up taking an uber to this location in Puyallup . When I got there I was informed that there would be a long wait to pick up the car. Lots of people came in right after me. The place was closing in 20 minutes. And they were severely understaffed. (this seems the case all too often, in the quest to use AI to depersonalize large businesses & optimize profit) The Staff on hand that day were truly amazing. Doing their best in a difficult work environment. Especially Rachel who was in car detail dept but took charge that afternoon.. She informed everyone of the long wait. Ran around like an athlete, checking out the vehicles. And yet dealing gracefully with disgruntled customers. This review has is 4 star vs the 5 due to the understaff issue. Enterprise has always been my go to for car rentals..I certainly hope they will figure out their staffing situation. It really puts undue stress on their employees. read more

After a car accident my experience with Enterprise was great until I went to drop off at a location close to the body shop. I cleaned out the car, filled it with gas ( left more in it than I had to) and got instructions over the phone on how to drop off after hours. Upon arriving I was looking for a key drop and to ensure I parked it in the right place when I heard a rude voice "I'm closed!" No, the key drop is right there, thank you for your business, just a rude woman. Why?!?! I just never understand why rudeness is tolerated in business? I wasn't asking for anything... I will not rent from Enterprise again, and will tell my insurance company about this negative experience. Our insurance agency referred us to Enterprise. The folks at this office immediately texted me to notify me to what was available so they could have it on site when we arrived. Jayden, who is very people orientated, picked us up from the body shop. The folks behind the counter were great. So why only four stars? HORRIBLE experience. My personal car needed some work at VW down the road. VW tells me that they work with Enterprise so I'll be able to rent out a car for free which is literally down the street. Sure, it's nice that Enterprise drives down the street to come pick you up, however nice customer service only takes you so far when you directly LIE to your customer. I've never rented a car before as well so shame on me for my ignorance, but as she was selling me insurance for the car rental she said there'd be a half off discount. As I was initialing I questioned the total and she said the discount would be applied later afterwards. Again, shame on me for inexperience/knowledge towards renting cars, but for this employee representing this company just for an up-sale on their commission? GARBAGE people. My rant is done. Anytime renting a vehicle especially through insurance is a complete nightmare. However, Christian and Jared made this experience helpful and supportive. Our insurance only covers a max amount of 1500 and unfortunately due to Covid, our vehicle wasn't ready for well over a month. Christian checked in for updates, was able to make sure I had a vehicle and showed great customer service. The star in this whole process was Jared. This poor guy had to deal with my frustration on the overage charges I had to pay out of pocket and quickly made sure I didn't leave their facility unhappy. Jared reduced our out of pocket expense by $100 and went in great detail on an explanation of the charges. If you happen to go to this location for a car rental, you have to connect with Christian and Jared; both really great guys. Huge thank you and shout out to the two of them. We found ourselves in need of a rental after getting in a car accident. We were lucky enough to have Abby support us through the entire process at Enterprise! She promptly picked us up after we dropped off our vehicle for repairs at the auto-body shop. From there she went out of her way to provide us with the nicest rental car she could find (she took us to 2 separate locations just to find the best car for our needs). Given the situation at hand, our experience with Abby was incredible and really put such a positive spin on the entire ordeal. By far the worst customer service ever. They charged me for insurance $785 that I did not ask for and they have not produced any documentation of me signing for. Because I did not. Upon knowledge of this fraudulent charge I took the car back as requested to have the insurance dropped and so they could inspect the car. I did and they still charged me more for insurance on a two week rental than i pay for a year of insurance on my own 2021 Jeep. They never returned my phone calls and then were crazy rude when I tried to explain my issue. I will never rent from Enterprise again and I would defineatly avoid them if I were you. I had an appointment to be picked up at the collision shop at 8:00 am. The Enterprise worker was 20 minutes late. I was told she decided to do another customer first who had a later appointment. The car they brought was not a car as I requested, but an SUV. Further, the gas tank was low, reading 54 miles to Empty. Because of Enterprise, I was very late to work. When I complained to the manager, she literally said, "So your upset that you didn't get helped first?" No I am upset that you were 20 minutes late to an appointment, because you took another customer who had a later appointment, leaving me a car inadequate to my needs, that was out of gas, resulting in me being very late. I rent here several times a year. I have not had any experiences where the employees did not go above and beyond for me. They have amazing chauffeurs that will come and pick you up and even drop you off when you are finished with your rental. I absolutely refuse to rent any where else. Staff is always polite and friendly, they offer great conversation while waiting, and they don't act/feel inconvenienced at all to serve you. You can tell that they all love their job and are proud to work there. Graeme (sp?) is the Store Manager, he is excellent at his job and is very respectful to his employees, he understands customer needs and made sure to do what he could to accommodate us. Recently, I've had the pleasure of working with Grace who was a delight. She was prompt and made sure I was informed while waiting for my vehicle to arrive. I had a minor issue with my first rental so I called and spoke with Adam. Adam was prompt and concerned and made sure to make it right when it was convenient for me. My auto repair shop and insurance set this rental up while my SUV was being repaired. The Enterprise guy showed up forty minutes late with a dirty Hyundai coupe. After rejecting their insurance add-ons I was told to place a one-hundred dollar deposit on the rental. My insurance is paid to cover the vehicle rental in full. I had to get a car from this enterprise for one day while my car was at the dealership. I did not sign any paperwork but had to put a card on hold for $50. I was told it is refundable when the car is returned. I returned the car the next and the $50 was processed to my card. I called and spoke to the manager Lexi, I was treated so poorly and spoken to in such a condescending manner. She asked if i had signed the iPad I explained I didn't sign anything or initial anything. I asked her what the charge was for she said it was for extra coverage, $50 for one day!!!! After a heated conversation she said she would refund it. Over a week later still have not been refunded. Warning do not go to this enterprise, they will not disclose fees to you and charge your card with out authorization. Agent did not understand why so much and adjusted the price to a much more reasonable rate. Car was very clean. Upon returning the car it was inspected immediately. I want to give a shout out to the most fabulous associate they have, her name is Suzanne and she took amazing care of me. Suzanne picked me up at the body shop, and gave me the run down of the terms on her iPad. Then she took me outside (she dropped of a gorgeous black caddy-lucky me!!) and showed me all of the features of the vehicle, and how to properly use each feature. She walked me around the Cadillac and asked me to point out any flaws-a few she even pointed out herself. She explained that since the car is black, the flaws are more difficult to detect. Can't believe these people. Having been instructed by my insurance company that I didn't need any additional insurance Enterprise would try to sell me I very definitely declined it. Turns out I apparently signed for it which means I was duped into believing I was signing something other than that. Way to treat a 60 year old woman. I also was told the $30 a day that my insurance would pay would cover the cost of the rental and turns out that was a false statement as well. You need to learn some integrity, Enterprise. Bad wiper blades and no fluid in the washer. Below "basic" car. Didn't even have a usb port. Had to stop again to get a 12 volt converter. Radio was horrible, bad reception even in town. First time having an issue by renting a vehicle here. Did a reservation on online and went in they changed the whole reservation and cost more for what I did have. I got the car and the car was filthy and stank. And the lady that helped me out was so rude and it funny my sister rent a car from there and she does not live in Puyallup and she got the rental. Two stars for the friendly staff, however, I rent from this location about once per month with a request for a specific car type. The majority of the time they do not have one stating they have rented them all out, even with a two week prior reservation.
