Very good experience - I'll itemize just a few things that are at a five star level: - Friendly personal service. - Car was very clean - not one spec of dust inside or outside. - Operating hours are very reasonable - A-OK level: - Forget to check the fuel level - by the time we got away onto our first destination (2 miles away) - noticed that tie fuel level was just above the 3/4 level. To be fair - I returned the car with 30 miles of gas usage - I told them of both situations - and they accepted the car without a gas charge. Hint: check fuel level. - We had scheduled online for the car to be picked up at 12:00 - it took them about 15 minutes to get the car ready - no big deal - I needed to get relaxed anyway - have not driven in the northeast in a long time and had to get mentally prepared again! - This is an Enterprise/NJ improvement - not this business improvement - we rented the car for the week, returned it early. I am more then willing to pay for the quoted day rate for the week, - BUT pay for the fee's/taxes? Is this a computer problem or a NJ regulation? No big deal - just a minor detail... Stay away from this business. -Insurance company sent me here for a car after I got rear ended. -They claimed they didn't have a car. -They tried getting me to take a bigger car and pay the difference out of pocket. -Trying to make money from the insurance company and myself. -When I said no the guy asked if the accident was my fault. I left after that. -Progressive upgraded the car and asked me to try again. I called next day to see if they had the car. -Same guy. No car. Said he'll call me back once a car becomes available. I just rented a car from this location for a month after being in an accident. The customer service was great - they got me a comparable vehicle from another location since all they had were minivans. They were also super nice and checked in with me a week before the car needed to be returned and after it was checked in. read more

This place discriminates against minorities. Wouldn't go there again, the only redeeming quality is there proximity to my house, otherwise I would just go all the way to the airport. They saw me and immediately starting asking all these additional questions and wanting all these additional documents. I have been renting from National for years and never once had a problem or felt disrespected. Do better! read more

This is the WORST company that I have ever dealt with. I never use Enterprise because all my previous experiences with them have been absolutely horrible. even when you make reservations months in advance....you have to wait at least an hour but most times longer to even get a vehicle. Lets hope that you do not have one of their vehicles breakdown. My vehicle is being repaired and the dealership where I bought the vehicle uses Enterprise. Enterprise charges you a fee to have someone look at the car or tow it. If their vehicle breaks down, then they should be paying the company that looks at it or Tows it away...not the person renting. If you do not agree to pay their fees then they refuse to assist you. Their Roadside Assistance people are the absolute worst to deal with!!!!!! read more

I rented an Altima from the Rahway location. I was told the car was clean. I evidently have a different idea about CLEAN. It was clean and wet on the outside but the inside was disgusting. Windows,interior seats, rugs full of sand and smelled awful. I asked for a cleaner car, but was told they were all reserved. I reserved my car the week beforehand. Then I was told they would try and get me another car and I never heard from them. I wet home to clean the windows and spray air freshener, but it did no good. The car needs a complete detailing and major engine maintenance, it sounds like a truck. I don't think that a rental car should be passed onto another person in this condition. I also called corporate to complain and they were suppose to send an area supervisor to location. Have no idea if that happened. Complete lack of customer satisfaction. read more

The only reason this location is getting one star is because I can't provide them with anything lower. While I will say I originally received my rental (which came with an inspection sticker that expired in November of 2021 and leak in one of the tires!!) from the Rahway location, I was ushered to the Jackson location due to the flat tire. I was informed that there would be communication between both locations and they would have a vehicle available for me. After arriving shortly after to the Jackson location, I waited for ages before the only employee that was on-site was able to help me. It was then and only then that I was informed not only was there no communication, but there was absolutely no vehicles available for me. Because this employee was the only one there, they weren't able to help me and refer to me to another nearby location. This whole mess not only wasted hours of my day, but also caused me to miss out on work! I will never EVER use Enterprise ever again. read more

I wish I could rate them better. Their website specifies a fee for returning the car for up to an hour late... something like a $10 surcharge which I think is quite reasonable. I dropped my car off at 6:30 which was a half hour past the return time but found that their office had already closed at 6. They had a drop box for the key but no means of indicating when the car was returned. Wasn't happy to see that they charged me for an entire 24 hours extra. read more

Wow. No vehicles available here at Rahway and no way to get them from other Enterprise locations. No cross branch communication or customer service. For example...Rahway has no cars available. Colonia (less than 2 miles away) has cars but refuses to pickup from a location in Rahway's territory (BETWEEN the two branches). Absolutely unacceptable customer service as a company. Horrible service. I went to pick up a car. I drive a 6 cylinder full size vehicle When I arrived they stuck me in a tiny economy car even when I told them I was entitled to the same size car I drove. They refused to call the insurance company and blew me off. I had to contact the regional manager with multiple attempts and I could not leave a message on his phone. When he finally called me back, he was able to correct the problem but not before making a complaint with the corporate office. Horrible experience. Go anywhere else. read more

The first time I rented there I had a terrible experience...they never answered their phone and then picked me up so late I had to call a cab for the airport run I planned. But then it turned around 180 degrees as Leigh Anne made it up to me with fabulous customer service. She and the manager Shaun have been incredible ever since. They care. They want me to be happy. They were sincerely sorry about the screw up. They all work so hard with no attitude. I was really appreciative since so many couldn't care less these days. I only rent from this Enterprise and tell everyone about Leigh Anne and Shaun's special efforts. Rented from this location twice. Good service and quick. My only problem was dropping off my car at night. They have a really small parking lot and all the cars were cramped in that lot. Would be great if they get some additional space to park. Other than that I had a great experience. read more

I called a week in advance to rent a vehicle for my trip to Maine I was told I needed a credit card to rent the vehicle I don't have a credit card and I informed the employee that I will be using my debit card and he said that's fine when they tried to swipe my debit card it was declined it numerous times he then informed me that they have new equipment in there and they're getting used to it his manager came in and my debit card was still declined needless to say payment was not made so therefore I don't have the vehicle I need to go to my destination they tried to give me various options to get the $1,500 I need to rent a vehicle I appreciate that I tried all options and the most I could come up with was $1,200 I still need to get my destination and I hope they can help me out on Sunday the 23rd read more

costumer service was very bad. the manager Dan from 503 St George Ave, Rahway, NJ. lied to us saying we will be able to conect the rental to our EZ pass account the day of the rental. When tried to conect tge ezpass said the car was already ser up to another account. I call the place and Dan gave me a number to call. When I called that number they said they cant do anything that only the enterprise location where at rented the car could help me. Its seens that its a trick to charge you extra for everytime you pass an az pass they charge you 4 dollards per day and 20 dollars at max. I went in person to see if I could solve the issue and was treat it bery rude. I will never rent a car from enterprise. Veey disappointing. read more

Kiva was fantastic! I had made an online reservation for Rent-a-wreck in Linden who "lost" my online reservation. I called enterprise in a panic trying to get a rental (hopefully) for a week after finding out the other company didn't have a car for me. Kiva not only got me into a car but was able to give me the compact price as a convenience for a mid size. If I ever need to rent a car again while in NJ visiting family this is for sure where I'll be going! read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH!!!!! Where do I begin???! I rented a full size car on Friday, May 19, 2017 to Monday, May 22, 2017. When I arrived for my pick-up, I was about 45 minutes early and was greeted by Asst. Manager, Femi. He provided me with nothing but smiles from the very beginning. He advised that all they had available was a white Jetta at the time. Not my favorite car and I'm tall so I was worried about space. He then offered me a Jeep, which I didn't like at all, so I went ahead with the Jetta. Femi was super cheerful, well-spoken and a ball of laughs. I drove around locally for less than hour when I noticed that the car was really eating up gas, which concerned me because we were driving to Virginia the next morning. I called Femi at 5pm to let him know the issue and he advised me to bring the car back, no problem. I brought the car back and he put me in an awesome 2017 Nissan Altima. When I tell you that car had some SERIOUS power and rode so smooth!! Very roomy for my family and was great on gas. He did a quick switch out on cars and even told me to bring the car back on empty. You don't have to tell me twice!! Lol. I returned the car Monday morning an hour after it was due(I called beforehand and spoke to Femi) and was not charged any additional fees. Femi provided SUPERIOR service from start to finish! He is excellent, excellent and EXCELLENT and has a great personality! I literally laughed from the moment I arrived until I pulled off! I have rented from this location many times in the past and the service has always been great, but this time, my experience was above and beyond fantastic, thanks to Femi. Make sure you ask for him! Rented a vehicle on Friday March 25 and was told to return the vehicle by 6pm the next day, Saturday, March 26. Was never once told they operate on a completely different schedule on Saturday. I tried calling them the next day around 2pm to let them know I was coming back to return the car only to find out they were closed and would be closed Sunday! Very frustrating and not professional at all. I made some calls and was told I can drop off the vehicle at the location (before 6 which I did) and place the key in the lockbox and I would be charged one day. I have been charged for THREE days and I have been getting the runaround saying I will be contacted by the district manager and I am still waiting. Wish I could rate a ZERO. read more

Weeks later I get a letter saying that damage occured while I had the vehicle, which is completely NOT true! It's the oldest scam in the book.
