I even received two confirmation texts during the 6 week reservation. Then they offered me another vehicle at a lower price and on pick up they didn't honor, denied my rental and this 60 year old single woman (me) had to walk off the premises. My husband rented a car here while his car was in the shop. He rented a Dodge Charger. It was a fun ride for a week and it had a lot of pickup. Rental process was quick and easy. Not a very big parking lot to get dropped off, but they will bring the car to you if needed. The insurance covered for the rental, so it was a great rate in the end. It's not far from the house and they make the process easy and quick. read more

I am a senior citizen with mobility issues and Enterprise on Woodward in Royal Oak, MI lied to me and caused me a lot of grief. They have no integrity and cannot be trusted because of their lies. I have rented from Enterprise before but, I will never rent from them again. They should be ashamed of themselves. I was already upset because my car had been vandalized and they made it way worse for me. I am stuck in my apartment and can't go to work because of their lies. I could have got a car from another place, but they told me to call them back in 30 minutes and they would pick me up and have a car for me. when I called them back, I was told they had given the car away. I called the other place back and since I told them I had a car at Enterprise on Woodward they rented the car out that they had been holding for me. So, because of Enterprise's lie, I don't have a car. I can't go to the grocery store or work. Enterprises should treat people like they want to be treated. read more

Do not get a car from here. They are dishonest. Charged 4 days for a car that did not start. Only driven to my home. Then they wanted me to put on my credit card for towing, which fortunately did not have to do. Once they got the car back, manager and her boss would not get back to me. Also when I got car overcharged on deposit and only half of tank of gas. Charged my insurance for $200.00 for a car only driven 3 miles. Complete headache from the start. read more

Made a reservation online through Costco to pick up a car at noon on a Saturday. The reservation was confirmed and I thought we were all set. Showed up at 12:03 pm to the doors locked and the hours on the door showing that they close at noon. I have no idea why they let me reserve a car at a time when they were closing. We walked around to the back where we found an employee washing a car and asked him if there was anything he could do to help. He was very unhelpful and he said no, that they closed at noon and there was nothing he could do. He said that he had called the phone number on the reservation and no one answered. This is technically true, but due to so many spam phone calls, I don't answer a number I don't recognize. He did not leave a voice mail or send a text with more information. Will absolutely never use them again. Be aware of the closing time and your requested pickup time when you make your reservation and save yourself some panic. read more

I had a great experience renting a car at enterprise. They greeted me right away, ran all the paperwork in about 5-10 minutes and I even got an upgrade (SUV) for same price as sedan. I consider that winning! The car was very clean and when I dropped the car off, they even took me to my next destination so I didn't have to call a cab. Highly suggest them!! read more

Where do I start.... I have been in the customer service industry for 33 years myself and know what good customer service is... It all started with a nice smile and friendly customer service from a girl named Heather. I needed to upgrade to a bigger car as I was traveling with some luggage and so Heather accommodated me with a new 2018 VW atlas at a reasonable price. The car was wonderful ,everything worked zero problems good gas mileage Etc... In fact my 14-year-old daughter liked it so much she wants that to be our next car. Had a wonderful wonderful vacation with the use of that car. When I returned it, once again the customer service was expedient, professional, with no up charges, no added fees, no nothing, just smooth deal at a very reasonable rate. Couldn't be happier with the service from the beginning to the end couldn't be happier with the car and in fact when I get back to California enterprise would be the car rental place that I would use for now on because of the service I received here in Michigan... They were terrific. Made reservation on Thursday for a "possible" three day rental when our car was in for repairs. Picked up Friday morning as requested ON TIME. Up graded to luxury SUV at minimal cost. Returned car early since repairs were done. No problems, they even have a ride to repair shop. Heather was extremely efficient and friendly as well as all the staff. I highly recommend this office and will use them again if needed. read more

I had an accident and chose Enterprise through my insurance agency. They picked me up at the collision shop, got me through the paperwork and into a car in no time, and were friendly and helpful in every way. My insurance only gave me $25 per day, so I picked a Hyundai Accent which turned out to be a decent car. When it was time to pick my car up, I dropped the rental at the office and they drove me back to the collision shop. I highly recommend this business. read more

My car was in the shop and I live nearby this location so I figured it should be easy to rent a car and for them to be able to pick me up. When I called to request the pickup, the representative cautioned me that there was a designated area and that if I was in that area, they could pick me up. She said that they were busy (it was a Wednesday afternoon) but that she'd make sure they picked me up by the time I requested. An hour after the time I had requested, they still hadn't picked me up. I called and sat on hold for 20 minutes until the location had closed. No one ever picked me up. No call, no email, nothing. What was worse is that I had to listen to hold music on repeat the entire time talking about how much they value their customers. "Simply treat our customers they way they should be treated." I am currently stranded, with my child, because after being dropped off and heading in with my reservation email and confirmation number, I was told they have no cars to rent. Enterprise is a no nonsense car rental company with no hassle forms (they are all digital) and I am always in and out in no time. I have always had a good experience with Enterprise. My most recent experience with the Troy, Michigan Maple Rd facility (Heather Holden) and the 13 and Woodward Royal Oak Store (jessica Waldenmeyer) were especially great (picked up car at Troy office and extended rental / dropped off at Royal Oak office) Both ladies helped me with selecting the appropriate car and assisted me with two extensions while visiting MI. They both make the entire car rental experience a pleasure because they have the customer in mind. Wouldn't schedule a pickup time over the phone and made me call when I was ready saying they would be there very fast. I called when ready and they said 15-20 min for a 3 mile pickup distance. Then they took 45 min. NOT recommended if time is a priority. read more

This is the best Enterprise location in the Greater Detroit area! I received excellent service when I picked up a car and even more excellent service when I returned it 3 days later! I was unexpectedly late on arrival to the Royal Oak Enterprise office and called to let the staff know. Chris answered the phone and told me to not worry, that he would be there when I arrived and would take care of me. I walked in about 7 minutes before closing and Chris was both pleasant and professional! When he left to retrieve my car, I watched Rene provide great service to a man who was returning a car. When they were finished, the customer was so happy, he stayed a few more minutes talking about the great car and service he received! Chris pulled up with my rental car and was still very pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to take care of me! When I returned the car, I received more excellent service! I will definitely use this Enterprise location again! These guys are the very best!! read more

Do yourself a favor and go to chris when you go to this location to take care of you. He was really nice and pleasant to me when I went there to pick up the car rental and nice enough to adjust the car rental price that fits my budget for auto insurance. I had no problem there. He's great! The issue was (the reason for a 3 star) is during return. I dont know his name but it's the other guy that sits beside him took care of me since I didn't see chris at his usual seat. He was so rude when he saw the back of my car full of cracker crumbs and dry raisins. I asked him if I should go vacuum the car 1st before returning it since I did feel a little bad since it was dirty. I have a 5 year old and 10 months old that eats in the car. He told me that vacuuming alone wouldnt be sufficient enough for that and he would have to get the car detailed. And i was really surprised because I know if i went and vacuumed it myself that I can get rid of it. I mean it is just dry crumbs and dry raisins. But he made it seem like it stained the seat and it can't just be easily cleaned. I asked him if he would charge me more for that and he just told me he would have to ask the manager. I got really upset and told him ill go clean it myself so he doesn't have to charge me more than what I'm already paying. Mind you I rented this car for 15 days and everyday it's $16 for insurance for my out of pocket cost. So my total was $238 for the whole 15 days. ( plus the cost of the car rental they are charging my insurance) Yet he wants to charge me more than that! I re-iterated that to him and he told me that it's a totally different thing than having the car cleaned! I just got to upset i had to walk away. So i went back to the car and cleaned up what I could and then took a picture of it and went back inside to show him and chris (he was back there when I came back). I asked him if it's clean enough for him so he doesn't have to charge me anymore and chris just told me to not worry about it. I mean what kind of customer service is that? Overall, i am personally not going back to that place any longer because no one has to go through that kind of service. read more

The staff there is very professional, kind, and makes sure that you are pleased with your vehicle and your overall rental experience. They have an upbeat style that also makes you feel very much appreciated. On both occasions, Jessica, a management trainee, helped me with my rental, including taking the time to demonstrate the various features of the vehicles. Had a really bad experience here. I normally go to the Hertz by 13 on Woodward but had a last minute trip and they had only a few cars left which werent the ones i would be comfortable in so I tried Enterprise. I would have been better off picking up my tahoe in Troy Hertz instead as they had directed. Instead like a fool I tried Enterprise upon my husband's prompting and I will never go back!!!! Car was terrible. It probably would have been fine if it didn't have sticky stuff all over in the truck and doghair all over the back where I had to put my luggage!!!! The worst part though was the workers condescending and flat out rude attitude. They were so arrogant. No thank you, I will go across the street where I always have great service and nicer cars for less money too at Hertz!!! read more

I want to inform you that experience I had this morning at Enterprise - Woodward Ave, Royal Oak MI, location was at best unacceptable!!!!! First, I made a reservation for a full size car for pickup on Monday 7/2/12 at 8am and drop off at the same location on Tuesday 7/3/12 by 8pm. I was quoted $98.52 total over the phone while making a reservation on Sunday 7/1/12. Second, when I got to the location I was greeted with-out a smile, I provided my last name, and person handling me looked at my reservation on his computer and confirmed my reservation but with a different price (all of a sudden it was over $140) which I objected, I took about 10 minutes for him and I assume his supervisor to figure out that they were wrong, during which I was given unpleasant looks and treated... hmmmm let me say mistreated. Third, finally after resolving the price issue I was informed that I will be given Toyota Camry, again NOT A FULL SIZE CAR Camry is a mid size car, if you don't believe me just google it!!!!!!!! By this time I was running late, as were few other people standing behind me!!!!!! Fourth, I gave my credit card and for some reason Enterprise system did not accept it, although I had more than enough of available funds to cover the cost of renting this car for more than just two days INCLUDING HOLDING OF FEW HUNDRED $ for what ever purposes Enterprise needs to hold it. Fifth, again Enterprise reps treated me like s..., and asked for another form of payment, I had a debit card available, for which they informed me that they need my pay-stub or utility bill?????????????? Well guess what I don't carry those in my back pocket!!! So I logged in online on their computer compromising my log-in info to prove that I pay my electric bill on time, and guess what, my wife's name is on it SAME LAST NAME AND SAME MAILING ADDRESS AS ON MY DRIVERS LICENSE. And of course that was not enough for Enterprise reps, that gave me nasty looks and treated me again like s...!!!!! This whole thing lasted about 25-30min!!!! So, guess what I did, I took my stuff and walked out, looked around and saw HERTZ rent a car across the street on Woodward Ave South of 13 Mile Rd, went there, walked in, asked for a car, gave them my DEBIT CARD, was given keys, walked out and was on my way to work in less than 2 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT COSTS $3 MORE THAN QUOTED AT ENTERPRISE!!!!!! WELL GUESS WHERE WILL I GO TO RENT A CAR NEXT TIME!!!!!!!! NOT ENTERPRISE FOR SURE!!!!!!!!! EVEN IF MORE EXPENSIVE!!!!! read more

Chris and team are always fantastic, they pick me up and drop me off, they handle problems smoothly for both me and others and work fast when they are busy to get everyone on their way. They remember my name and always ask if I'm satisfied.They go out of their way to provide great service. Some of these other reviews are from crazy people. It's not their job to clean up dried crumbs and raisins - it's your job as a customer to not allow your child eat in someone else's car and if you do, you should clean it up before returning it. You shouldn't have to ask them if they want you to clean it. Purchasing insurance does not entitle you to make a mess for someone to clean up. read more

Beware of the manager Tony at this location he is a con artist! My fiancée and I had a car booked for the $9.99 weekend promotion, a half an hour before pick up we are told there were no economy cars available and to call other locations. We call this location and come in. We end up getting a compact car and the manager did not make us aware that other enterprise locations may have the $9.99 promotion we originally booked. Anyways we rent a compact car out of not having a choice since we already had made plans for the weekend that we needed a rental car for. The compact car was $39.99 (enterprise cons you to book a rental with them then they get you in there and it's another price). So we book the car and the manager Tony adds additional charges that we didn't agree to. We call the 1800 number and Tony gets in touch with us. He offers to refund the fuel charge which was 3 weeks ago and it was never refunded. We call the 1800 number back and they say that we should of got the $9.99 promotion and since the manager Tony didn't let us know to go to another location for it, our money will be refunded. That was 2 weeks ago and no refund. We call back and get a run around from Enterprise and are then told that the 1800 number can't offer us a refund even though we were told we would be refunded after the manager Tony didn't refund us. So here we are not only did we not get the $9.99 promotion, but despite bringing the car back completely refueled we never received a refund on the gas. Tony kept saying over the phone "I have no problem refunding the fuel charge" but obviously he did to never refund it. This is very frustrating because my fiancée and I travel a lot. We usually book rental cars with Enterprise's sister company Alamo, but we are skeptical to rent from them again as well now. In the past year we have spent over $3000 with Alamo alone and they can pull up receipts. I guess that doesn't matter though. The regional manager Kyle got in touch with us and he was an uneducated fool. My fiancée who is completing her junior year in law school spoke to Kyle who was not only rude, but dismissive of his negligence of fully informing the manager Tony to his responsibility to give customers the best possible rate, or let them know what other locations offer the rate originally booked. As a customer I feel completely disregarded in this situation by Enterprise for 1. Allowing it to initially happen and further to make no attempts to correct this issue. They say that they are a "family company" and that their customers will be treated as such, but this could not be further from the truth. In fact every customer is just a cash cow and their credit card provides an endless bounty at their agents disposal to add fraudulent charges to increase their payday. Despicable sham of a company; a thing that is not what it is purported to be!!! Take my advice, go to Hertz, they even provide discounts with the hotel you are booked with. read more
