My car was backed into so my insurance had me drop it off at Caliber Collision and scheduled me a ride and rental with Enterprise. Their staff was super friendly and got me in and out fast. My first car was a Nissan but unfortunately had a heavy cleaning chemical smell to it, when I called to report this, they were friendly and had me bring it in for a swap. They were able to get me into another one with no issues. The auto body shop needed to keep my car a little longer and I was worried how that would work with the rental but they worked it all out perfectly and it was never an issue. The return process was easy as well. I enjoyed their customer service and so I have recommended this location to a friend who was having their car fixed too. read more

They asked me to come late in the day 4:00 so that would give them time to get more cars in. I accepted even though it was an inconvenient time for me, however it took them forever to give me a car! I made a reservation a month in advance and after being checked in waited an hour and 20 mins. The workers gave no explanation when I checked in that it would be this long or why. Finally I get called out to my car by a large long haired woman with a bad attitude named Mackenzie claiming to be a manager. She is an assistant manager come to find. I make a comment that I would like to know what I need to do to just get out since I've been waiting so long which was met with attitude and I'm told "we are dealing with a lot here too" Umm I'm the customer you're getting paid to deal with being busy. Then I ask her if I'm getting a hybrid or something else and she goes "You didn't ask for a hybrid" with attitude. I respond with.. didn't say I asked for one I'm asking you a question on the car. She then says my attitude is not good and she's not renting to me. So I'm stranded after taking an uber there for nothing and now have no rental. Called corporate 3 times and was told a manager would call me while I was stranded. NOTHIN. Had to walk all the way home. Don't rent from this location. This woman should be fired for giving attitude and lying about her position . Update: 10 days later and still nobody called me. Poor customer service from assistant manager, Mackenzie Davis. We reserved a standard size car and when we arrived, were told none available and all we could have was a super small Mitsubishi. No upgrades, no effort to find or fix the issue. Fast talking and full of excuses. It is my understanding that if a vehicle that I reserved was not available, that we would be provided an upgraded car at no cost. This half a... manager instead insisted we take a downgrade. We ended up watching other customers come in gay a car and drive away. Waiting almost 45 min to get a car in our category. FYI. Several other enterprises vehicles were available and would have resolved the issue. Customer car is not part of this manager. No smile, no emotion. Our car was hit and had to go in for repairs. I know the ads say we'll pick you up, but I didn't realize how helpful that would be in dropping off my car for repair. They picked me up, I didn't have to wait at all and when my car was fixed they let me drop the car off at the repair place. The process was super easy! They were even able to get me into a Mercedes GLE while my Mercedes was being repaired! read more

Look up policy's before you go into the location!!! I don't usually write reviews, let alone negative ones because I come from the CS Corp. world and know the severity of reviews! But in this case .... This place does not follow "enterprise" company policy's. If they do not have the original vehicle booked, they should upgrade you at no additional cost and they did not do that! Told my husband he had to go back home and wait for hours to see if they would get the original car he requested and even then they couldn't guarantee it. They did not offer to search a different location and denied him an upgrade. Inconvenienced him to drive all the way out to this location to pick up a car he reserved online, only to have to leave the location without any car!!! Both the representatives working there told him the same thing, basically said there is nothing they could do when in fact they could have done a lot more! This is an updated review. This enterprise location is my go to for both professional and personal rentals. For years, I have been able to enjoy great customer, service, clean cars, and just an overall enjoyable experience. This location has become absolutely an abomination to the entire franchise. We had reserved a car for an upcoming trip, and when I went to pick the car up, they gave me my choice of cars. That's always exciting. The first car seem like it was perfect, and thankfully the wheels were turned out. I happen to notice that there were huge nails in the tires, and I wondered why they weren't noticed by someone else. When I mentioned it to the staff member, she just shrugged and said well we can look at another car. Like it was no big deal. Yes, it's a big deal to send someone out in an unsafe car that could potentially have a blowout or worse. Again, Customer Service is just nonexistent. The next car clearly indicated that whoever they had rented it to must've been sleeping in the vehicle. It smells like a cross contamination of a dirty locker room, and weed. The third car, actually thought this one was a winner. You know, third one's the charm. After I've been there for so long, I was just itching to get out of there and opted for the car. I ended up bringing the car back afterwards because not only did the car smell like it had been heavily smoked in, it was dirty from a variety of things The fourth car was really the worst out of all of them, but it was the only option left. We ended up cutting our trip short and bringing the car back because of how horrible it smelled, and no matter what we did to clean the interior and try to fix the air quality, it just was nasty. When I return the car on Saturday, I asked to be driven home. I was told absolutely not. That they no longer offer those services. I asked when the policy changed about that and I was lied to by the person helping me and was told that they never have. When I explained how long I've been a customer at this location and that generally they will pick me up and drop me off, the woman recounted what she said, and said that they just did not offer that service on a Saturday, and that they weren't expecting me to return the car on a Saturday. What does returning my car early have to do with courtesies of dropping me off as is their standard practice?! The young lady was incredibly disrespectful and told me that I needed to pay for an Uber or Lyft to get home. I asked why I should have to pay to get home when this is a service that they offer. Eventually, she had someone from the location drop me off at home. The gentleman that drop me off, so he was thankful to get out of there because it's just not a great environment to work in. If the staff doesn't think it's great, and the customers don't think it's great, why are they even open?! They need to bring back the previous manager and staff. They were fabulous. This place should be reviewed by BBB they gave my wife a rental car filled with grass stains and a foul musty odor. It also had a steering wheel problem and abs lights on. With no gas ! The fact that we needed this from being rear ended a few days ago really made this experience that much worse it was as if the manager Gregory Gulseth was just trying to get her out of his face he showed no sympathy or concern. Brought it back in to exchange it he made the process very long and difficult and guess what no reimbursement on gas or anything. I sent this review to Enterprise corporate on 1/15/24 and I have not heard back, I also asked for a survey from my local Enterprise and heard nothing back. This review is for the Enterprise Rent a Car at 4107 Northgate Blvd, Sacramento, CA. First let me say that I have not rented a car in 20 years, I've never had the need to. Last month, December 2024, someone hit my car and I had to get a rental. I have a small SUV, a Mazda CX-5. The gentleman that hit me uses Allstate Insurance and I have AAA insurance. The body shop stated that it would take two weeks to repair. Enterprise Rental is what the body shop used, therefore I had to go to Enterprise When I went to pick up the car on Tuesday, Jan 7th, the only cars that they offered me were a Mazda CX90 or a big Nissan, I chose the Mazda, which is a huge SUV. I then called AAA and AAA stated that the car was too big and to get a smaller car because AAA would not cover the difference, the amount that I was allotted per day was $47.29. AAA covers $25 a day, the difference Allstate is supposed to pay as long as it's not over $47.29 a day. I called Enterprise back and they adjusted the amount on the CX90 to $47.29 a day. Here is my problem. The Mazda CX90 HAD 1/8 OF A TANK OF GAS IN IT (or 30 miles) when I picked it up. I asked, "shouldn't the tank be full? The last time I rented a car the tanks were always full and I returned the tank full." The agent said to bring back the car with only 1/8 of gas in the tank that's all they require. So, I was worried and got gas immediately, I put $50.01 of gas in the car. To my surprise, my car was ready in 4 days, Friday, January 10th, not two weeks like they quoted me. I took the Mazda CX90 back with almost a full tank of gas in it, so I asked for some of my money back, they said their policy is they do not reimburse gas that the renter has put into the car. I was flabbergasted, if someone had told me that I would never have put any gas in the car, or I would have put $5 in the car every day so that I returned it with 1/8 of a tank left. They should have told me right when I rented the car that their policy is: you put gas in the car that's on you, you don't get your money back. When I asked them, they did credit my bill to AAA for $50, because I thought AAA would cover the gas, but AAA said no. I went back to Enterprise on Monday, January 13th and spent 15 minutes trying to explain to the agent what was going on and he didn't understand, then the assistant manager came and spoke to me and she understood. The manager was out that day. The assistant manager stated that the manager would call me back COB Wednesday, January 15th, it's COB on the 15th and no one has called me back. Bottom line, I am out $50 which is a lot of money. Their communication with me was awful. If the amount I put in the car was a couple of dollars it would have been no big deal, but $50 is a lot of money these days. This is my advice to you: First: don't leave 1/8 of gas or 30 miles in the car. Second: tell the client that if they get a car with 1/8 tank of gas and return the car with almost a full tank, the client is out of pocket the amount they put in the car, or in my case $50. I will never rent a car from Enterprise again. If you are renting a car from Enterprise, read the fine print and ask questions. Remember, any gas you put in the car and you don't use, you will eat the difference, and in my case that's $50. read more

I would definitely recommend that location instead airport enterprise! It's about a 20 minute drive from airport, cost about $20 with Uber and a fraction of the cost. I was going to visit family in la thought I would rent a car and save the mileage on my car after asking for a economic car they only had a mid size suv a Toyota rav4 no gas and during the walk around the vehicle dude with the clip board was missing the obvious dent that Stevie wonder could see with attitude hand me the keys but I will say this I will never rent from enterprise again. the rav 4 won me over on buying one so go figure. read more

I have never rented a car before so did not know what to expect, but didn't expect much. I was however, pleasantly surprised from the moment I called to make my reservation. Dominic was extremely helpful and took extra time to help me understand the process, what to expect, and was the reason I didn't feel as stressed about the whole experience. I was worried because the rental was being managed by an insurance company (not mine) so I was expecting issues. When I showed up each time for reassurance or any updates I needed with the reservation, April and Autumn were both also very helpful and even while taking care of multiple other customers they still made me feel like I wasn't waiting at all :) Finally when I returned my vehicle, Mr. Ivan was kind enough to drive me back to my own vehicle and this crew is all top-notch! Great driving, everyone is extremely kind and they make the entire experience an honestly great interaction! While this was my first experience renting a car, it won't be my last and for sure I will be returning (and referring folks) to Enterprise - Northgate blvd. location. The branch manager Dominic Grove did not exercise his due diligence as a manager in providing any helpful information to resolve a pressing situation. There was an erroneous hold on my account, he passive aggressively advised me to pay up $800 without fact checking info on his end. Mind you it's a significant amount, and he had the audacity to use it as an ultimatum for no releasing a car rental. It turned out that he's a F***ING idiot (in the nicest way possible) and the issue occurred internally. He is not very resourceful whether it being internal to the company or external to the customer. read more

I forgot to add my review from when I returned a rental car at this location. I rented a flex on the 7th to drive to Colorado for a memorial service, I asked for a comfortable vehicle and Chelsea Nichols suggested I get the Ford Flex, all I can say is wow! This isn't my first time renting from this location, the staff makes it easy to rent, no fuss,no waiting. They do their best to take care of any needs we may have. They know me well. I can say with confidence if you read a review that says this place isn't good with customers, that person is the problem and not this location. The staff are always happy to serve you. This is definitely the worst place to rent a car. My experience with them is different with each representative who has misinformed me about prices and policies. I was told I had to return the rental by 10am, but later on when I called a representative said that I could turn it in after hours in a drop box if needed. Then when I called again in the morning, another representative said he would waive off a late fee, but it was really due at 10am!! Something as simple as that could have been avoided if the employees wrote a note on my account or would have told me the correct time the rental was to be returned. Not to mention the inconsistencies and hidden charges that I had to go through with this rental. Having to talk to 3-4 different people who try to resolve a problem, and having each one say something different, is VERY frustrating. Now I have disputes about my deposit that was supposed to be returned to me , but instead I am being charged. My main disappointment was the lack of communication with the employees, their misinformation of policies(which has led to surprise charges and a lost deposit), and having to call corporate about how they mismanaged my account. Cree is amazing but the manager Jordan is horrible. I inquired about extending my rental because my car was not ready to be picked up from the shop. Jordan gave me a dollar amount and I decided against it. Then I called back a hours later to clarify if that dollar amount was in addition to what I was already paying or would that dollar amount be my total due, she said it was new total due. I extended the rental. After returning the car and being charged it was way more than I agreed to over the phone. No one wanted to assist in resolving the issue they said I had to wait for Jordan to come in at noon. They said they would leave a note for her to reach out to me. She never did. Jordan, horrible. First, I'd like to give kudos to the gentleman that picked me up...Henry, he was perfect. Great customer service and he attempted to accommodate my requests. I am currently at this Enterprise location, late for work, waiting for them to go fill up the only vehicle they will let me rent. The manager, I believe her name is Carly, will not allow me to switch vehicles (even though I have received a complimentary upgrade many times in the past as I travel often for work, both at this location and others in the Sacramento area). The vehicle is stained on the front and back seats and looks terrible inside, the car is on empty, and she still refuses to swap it out for another similar vehicle. Meanwhile 4 customers have come and gone since I've been here, and more will be finished before they come back from getting gas. read more

Very disappointed with this location for enterprise. My daughter got a reservation through her insurance company to go get a rental here. As soon as we walked in and told the gentlemen we had a reservation he told us "We were not expecting you and all rentals are unavailable" SMH.... After asking help from the manager the manager told us come back at 330pm. We came back and was told her license was an issue.(it's valid and she's over 25) After settling that then it became another issue after another. They finally gave her the keys and when she was about to open the car the employee ran out and apologized that he could not rent the vehicle after all. I don't understand if it is through insurance why did they have to make her go through all the hoops. Felt like they just did not want to rent to her. It really was a waste of time. Enterprise can do better than this. Time for this whole staff to be retrained on customer service. "0" rating . TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WORTH DRIVING SOMEWHERE OR EVEN WALKING THEN DEALING WITH MIGUEL AND HIS EMPLOYEES. My partner provided all the paper that was asked of him. Miguel was the first person we talked to when confirming the rent 2WEEKS PRIOR! He informed we need a utility bill and paystub in the drivers name. He informed us the rental was made for the afternoon and we told him we had it set for the morning and he said he changed it. Fast forward to today THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING! When my partner came in Miguel said there was no car in the morning for him and refused to take the paper work we provided because his name wasn't directly in the bill. We brought back additional proof. I had to call in to see what the issue was and Miguel was super dismissive. He offered no other resolution. When I asked to speak to his manager I got a scoff and "I am the manager" I had to ask several time to actually get contact for his manager. I'm extremely dissatisfied with enterprise their lack of customer service and Miguel's terrible attitude and poor attempt to help a customer. read more

I paid $96 for a day's worth of charges while my car was in the shop. How do you charge $25 for a drop fee when I'm only dropping the car 10 miles away? Definitely not going back Horrible service. This location HAD finally improved their customer service. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. They brought back Autumn as the manager who had been here when the customer service was beyond horrible and to no surprise it is back to being horrific. Expect long waits and inconsistent service. The people before me were offered an upgrade at no charge because they did not have the size of vehicle they had offered. She also told them she would also be happy to bend the rules for them and provide a ride back to the airport so they would have to pay the high return fees to drop the vehicle off at a different location. When it was my turn they first offered me a car with a check engine light and then one that had been in an accident with for floor board completely worn out. When I asked if there were other options I was told no. That is all they had in the size that I reserved.
