Picked up a rental car from here. The building was disgustingly filthy. It reeked and the seats were so filthy that I didn't feel comfortable sitting in them. When I received my vehicle it smelled dirty and there were scratches all over the side of the car and bird poop on it. I was disgusted. I had to spray half a bottle of perfume just to make it smell somewhat fine. When I received my vehicle, the person working there did not take any photos or provide a thorough check of the vehicle. However, he kept on trying to upsell me the car insurance and said it would protect me in case I get into a crash: I only used the vehicle for 2 days and drove it twice because I left to go on a trip to Florida. I did not get into any wrecks or hit my car on anything. When I was on my trip, I had my mom return the car. When she returned it, the manager working there said there was damage to the car, which was not true. They told me they would file a claim with my insurance. I believe that they are trying to scam me. I am the daughter of a highly influential attorney in San Antonio, and I will be suing them. read more

I wish there was a NO STAR! So disappointed with the experience! First the car was completely dirty! The photos do not show the shape it was in. The guy asked me to look for scratches and I said it was hard to see because Of the dirt. He told me "I know how to look at it". There was trash in the back. Empty cans in the middle. Mud on the seats (photoed)and and empty tank of gas (photoed). Oh and I got the do you want to prepurchase your gas or it will be $4 per gallon if not returned lecture. DID I MENTION THE TAGS WERE EXPIRED? So I return it full and they comp me the rental which didn't even cover the gas balance. Complete waste of time and money with this place. Still out over $60. The man I photographed is someone who I hope steps on a lego barefoot. His name was Derek, I believe. Without taking the initiative to communicate to the collision center properly and relaying issues to me, he let me sit and sulk in the waiting room for more than 20 minutes. I'm normally cool as a cucumber but having been in the customer service industry, I know that communication is important. Just like this fellow does. He saw that I was visibly upset and did absolutely NOTHING. He did not communicate with me the issue nor the status of my situation. So after 20 minutes I asked him, " so am I just going to sit here all day or what?". Again I was very frustrated and he responds, " did they not tell you?". Referring to the collision center. Hello!!! I am sitting in your lobby. They discussed things with you. Obviously you should communicate the situation to me. Perhaps this individual is not keen to communication or relaying things in a productive manner but he however was the manager so I can only assume he was promoted for some reason. Perhaps the years have gotten to him and he has forgotten to be prompt, informative and customer friendly. The worst customer service I've ever experienced! They are very rude. I dropped off my rental and asked the gentleman checking the car if I could pay using another credit card. He said that's fine. I then went to reach for my credit card to hand it to him and he rudely said "HANG ON" I'm still inspecting!" Was it necessary for you to raise your voice? Am I not an adult just like you are AND a customer willing to give you my business? Then the manager comes out and in a condescending tone, he asked what is this dent at the front? I told him we inspected the vehicle when I got it and annotated any defects. He had me wait, right a report and provided me a copy of what he wrote. STAY AWAY FROM THE CAR RENTAL LOCATION!! My husband & I and son were in car accident in Dallas Texas back in April 12, 2023. Our car was totaled so had to rent vehicle on April 13, 2023 to drive home to San Antonio few days later after the accident. 14 days later my son who lives in Dallas where the accident took place asked me & husband to stop by Enterprise location off 281 to leave credit card on file. So we stop by Enterprise located on 15695 San Pedro Ave 78232 earlier today around 1pm with Reservations number on hand that was given to us by Progressive insurance company (the person who hit us insurance company) the Enterprise representative I think his name is Jesse claim the reservation number I gave him didn't exist on the system. Then I explained the whole situation but he still said that we shouldn't be driving this vehicle because we were not authorized. He claimed "WE STOLE THE VEHICLE" I then said wait a minute would I be here trying to give you our credit card if we stole this vehicle?!. So I started to leave this location to go to another Enterprise because he was trying to grab the keys away from me. When I was in the parking lot he started saying I'm stealing the car. I replied how can we be stealing this rental we've had it for over 10 days. He would not let us leave to go to the correct location which was airport location. I even asked him to escort us to the location where our reservation was held or call the police! It was getting very heated but then my husband who is 71 years old asked Jesse let's all come down and try to resolve this issue. After an hour & 20 minutes this representative was told by his supervisor to let us go we are authorized to have this rental. HE NEVER APOLOGIZED!!!! I'm in San Antonio for a project and I have been here 3 times. The staff is super friendly and very attending. The 2nd time I was here, one of the staff was patiently explaining to a customer that it is company policy to charge a deposit, which is very normal at any location (she doesn't have a credit card), she was very upset, but the staff was very calm and explaining to her. He even offered her a ride to work which she accepted it. Great service! The only negative thing I want to say about this place is that the location is bit weird on the GPS, I got lost few times because my GPS lead me to an exit of 281 which isn't right. If you are coming from East San Antonio, get off at exit 22, drive a about 1.5 miles and turn right on Jones Maltsberger Rd and drive under 281 to get here. read more

I originally had my reservation at the 9714 San Pedro Avenue location, but Randy (at the San Pedro location) told me to just take the Enterprise Airport shuttle to the HWY 281 location so he could pick me up. (Apparently the San Pedro location cannot pick you up from the San Antonio Airport directly, but they can pick you up at one of their Enterprise locations - sweet!) I took the Enterprise Airport Shuttle to the HWY 281 location (the shuttle runs every 10 minutes) and was greated by Amanda at the front desk. I gave her my reservation confirmation and she gave me an ice cold bottle water and a hearty "Welcome to San Antonio!" Before I could mention that my reservation was at another location and I needed to be picked up by someone from San Pedro location, she asked me what kind of car I wanted and esscorted me out the door, keys in hand to my rental car!! Amazing! She really took the hassle out of everything rental car! Additionally when I came to return the car, Joe was equally as friendly and recommended that the next time I come back to check out the river about 35 minutes away from Rudy's BBQ. He said "people get drunk and float down the river and after we all go to Rudy's." If you are looking to rent a car near the San Antonio Airport, this location is top-notch and makes it easy! I Contacted This Location On Wednesday And Spoke With Natalie, Explaining To Natalie That I Needed A Specific Model That Fits My Body The Best. Natalie, Told Me That She Would Note My Request In My Reservation And While She Could Not Guarantee The Exact Model, She Would Identify My Needs To Her Manager David, And Would Do Her Absolute Best To Honor The Request And Meet My Needs!. That Conversation Was All That I Needed To Have, As It Appears From That Moment On, The Enterprise Team Went To Work On My Behalf Searching Across The 7th Largest City In America To Ensure I Would Have The Exact Model Vehicle At The Exact Time Of My Trip. However, On Friday Afternoon, I Had Not Heard From The Enterprise Location. I Decided To Call To Verify My Reservation And David The Manager Took My Call Personally. David Explained That He Was In The Process Of Arranging The Specific Car I Had Requested To Be At His Location, Again Because Of My Physical Limitations, At The Time That I Requested, But Still Had Not Secured One At That Point. Rented from Enterprise because Alamo was out of vehicles during Thanksgiving weekend. They are very friendly and pleasant. I loved the fact that you have the option of paying in cash. I have had issues with this in the past with other rental places. They were very thorough in checking to see if the car had any dings or scratches.The only things I didnt like was the deposit hold of $200 on my card, the gentleman kept pushing the insurance option on me, they arent open 24/7, and the parking at the facilitly wasnt very convenient, but that wont hold me from renting from them again. I returned the vehicle at St Mary's location and they were very friendly there too. The price was very nice too! read more

We had a not so pleasant experience at Enterprise rent a car. We rented a car while waiting for our car to be repaired. We used enterprise rent a car because it was recommended by the body shop that did the repairs to our car. The rental was covered by this insurance company of the person that hit our car. Neither on of the agent that helped us did not appear to know what they were doing. The female agent had to call the insurance company to verify that we had a insurance and that our insurance would cover any cost that were not covered by the persons insurance that hit us. The problem is the agent kept calling the other person's insurance company and naturally they had no idea who we were. After the 5th a 6th attempt I asked what insurance company she was calling, I told the agent that they were calling the wrong person's insurance company. Finally they called our insurance company and it was that our insureance and our coverage would cover any additional cost. While waiting, the other agent calls me while I standing at the counter, I asked of ask may I help you. The agent looks up at notices me on the phone and ask is this you from calling, I say yes. So today I turn in the car if they tell me that I owe $20, I asked why. The manager tells me it is because I'd use the debit card versus a credit card. If I had used a credit card I would not be charged anything. I tell her no one explain that to me. She tells me that she's work the enterprise before use and that's how it always is and has been. I teller that I understand that and ask her why wasn't I told this she tells me she is going by the notes that the CSR left. While $20 is not a lot of money if multiply that by 10 twenny or even a 100 Enterprise is making money off of people because of bad information. The manage it tells me that she will subtract 1 day of the fee because that's what he shows and a tablet. At some of this that my fault since everything was authorize through money source company they should have covered all days it did not. I'm not sure what type of manager you're trading the enterprise provide for their managers but this one definitely needs a refresher course in management and more so in customer service. I am truly disappointed with enterprise, I know for fact that the manager could have taken the $20 that she said we go because of bad communication and made the balance owed zero which she refused to do. As a manager you should take responsibility for your store and your employees and remember, it the customer who pays her salary. read more

Enterprise has never failed us! We have rented from this location several times. This last time Enterprise really came through for us. I had called several different rental car places for our upcoming trip from San Antonio to Utah for Thanksgiving. I originally called and made a reservation here but then decided I would try to find somewhere cheaper (my first mistake). I found that Hertz was slightly cheaper for the 2 weeks I needed the car so I made a reservation with them as well. I kept both reservations for about 2 weeks because I was nervous to not use Enterprise. I finally decided I would just go with Hertz so I could save a little money. (My second mistake) I called and cancelled my reservation with Enterprise. (Again my miatake). I called and confirmed my reservation with Hertz for 10am on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Went to Hertz at 10am to pick up my car and guess what...They don't have a car for me until 12pm noon. They customer service I received was horrible. I was completely pissed off because the drive to Utah is 24 hour drive time trip. We stay in a Hotel one night. So...I called Enterprise and asked them if they had a car right then that I could rent for 2 weeks. Of course they did! The customer service over the phone was amazing, once I got there the customer service was even better. O.T took great care of us! Got us all set up with the exact car I wanted. It was clean inside and out and had a full tank of gas, that was great since we were now an hour behind schedule due to Hertz. Enterprise came through and saved the day and we made it just in time to spend Thank with our families! I would highly recommend Enterprise to anyone in need of a rental car! I will never try to any other company besides Enterprise rental car again. They always go above and beyond what they need to to make sure there customers and happy! read more

After a loooooong freaking day of travel, I went to Hertz rental, where I had reserved a vehicle for one day. They turned me away because I didn't have a credit card with me. I offered them cash and debit and it was a mess. Hertz rental car sent me to walk in the pouring rain over a mile to Budget rental car because they could help me. Pissed off i started walking. What was that on the horizon? ENTERPRISE RENTAL. I know I looked like a pissed off haggard a-hole, but seriously these guys rock. Travis Terry sympathized with my issue and hooked me up in literally minutes (with my debit card) and I was on my way. I am so ever grateful. This is why Enterprise has better reviews than Hertz. Every single person there asked me if I needed help, made sure all was ok, and offered me some water. Hillary got me in the car and finished it up. I have always used Enterprise in the past and I am sorry I even thought about straying. read more

The worst, the absolute worst, I would give a zero if that was an option. I made a reservation a week in advance for them to drop off a car at 10:00 am to the body shop I am using for repairs. At 10:15 no Enterprise rep, so I call. They tell me it will be 90 minutes before they can deliver the car to me. I tell them that's unacceptable and that they can just deliver the car to my home. I am told they won't do that because of COVID, but they can't seem to explain to me how delivering the car to me outside the body shop is different than delivering the car to me outside my house. I said I would get a ride to their location but they said that wasn't an option either. So basically, I am forced to wait for them if I want a rental car. How is making a customer wait 90 minutes for a car acceptable? Why do they take reservations if they don't have the inventory or personnel to honor the reservation? read more

They will charge you for Protection Insurance even after you have said no, not one but three times and still charge you, in the confusion of signing documents they circle and quickly ask you to initial each space. Even walking out, I questioned the 19.99 charge on the sheet, when they said oh..thats the Protection ..!! Stopped dead in my tracks and told them I did not want it, they still charged me for it. We have been doing business with enterprise for years. They had a great staff here at this location. Knew what they were doing. Gave me spotless cars, cleaned on the inside. Took care of me all through out the process. Now with them changing the staff every year or so they dropped their customer service and cleanliness. If I'm paying 400 for a top suv for a few days. I expect the car to be cleaned up inside. I understand the outside when the weather is bad. But the inside should be spotless. Mud on the floor. Red sand everywhere. Smudges of shoes on the seats and sides of doors. Seats covered with mud and sand. Really? You are going to push this off on a customer and expect them to accept that? No way this is acceptable and to say well sorry this is the only big suv that we have. Lol. Well if it is!!! Clean it up!!! Smh. This has been an issue a few times now. Use to be so good. read more

I rented a car thru my car insurance company. The insurance is supposed to cover up to $30/day. The car I am renting even with the optional insurance is less than that. I was told that I needed to leave a $50 deposit with a credit card; I don't have a credit card so I put it on my debit card. A week later, they took another $50. They told me this extra charge was made because the original $50 had been used up on optional insurance. I cancelled the insurance the same day. Upon returning the vehicle, with a full tank, they now take another $102. I didn't get the car until the end of the day and had the insurance cancelled at the beginning of the 8th day but they are charging me for 10 whole days anyway. If I had rented the car at 11pm and returned it at 1am, 3 hrs later, they would have charged me for 2 whole days. Further, when I disputed the amount, they told me they would not take more money out until after the manager called me. They never called, instead they take my money on a Saturday, a day when they are not even open for business. I will never use Enterprise again for any car rental needs. Whatever you do, don't be fool enough to buy their optional insurance coverage. This only covers their "loss of earnings" if the rental car is wrecked. Their lost revenue is only $35/day but they charge you more than that for the "insurance". read more

Be very careful when you rent from this place - even after telling them that I didn't want insurance they SNUCK it in. They don't care - they simply want money! They want money and could care less about customer satisfaction - the bottom line is what they are worried about. Enterprise charged me for the rental insurance even when I refused it. I called to speak with Sol Medina (the manager) and now she no longer works there and Enterprise will not reverse the charges. Sol was outside doing the checklist on her tablet and I specifically told her I DID NOT WANT IT. She selected it anyway and Sol didn't give me a copy of the checklist, therefore I did not know the rental insurance was on the car.
