We had some issues with our insurance with getting a hard due date. When it came to turn in the car we had been issued a fee for turning in the car late when our insurance gave us no notice. The worst Enterprise Rent-A-Car I've ever encountered. Reserved a rental took 50 minutes to even get to the counter it was so slow. Three employees working an average 20 minutes per customer. On the return it was even worst, it was a Saturday morning, only one employee working. This solo employee was answering the phone, greeting customers in the building, escorting customers to their vehicles for inspection, and payment. It took over an hour to return the car and keys, and that was after someone needed a rental and the employee asked if anyone waiting had a return because he had no more cars. I got a rental Monday, 3 days later the car isn't turning on due to the key phob being dead. I called while trying to get the car started and let them whoever had answered that the women that works there Dominique had issued me the car Monday and I asked her about the key phob low battery message on the screen. Once I made it to the Enterprise, Dominique then started questioning me why I told that to the person on the phone because according to her she doesn't remember seeing that or saying anything about it. I told her that is what happened and regardless if she doesn't I am now in this situation missing an appointment and having to fix this. I let the branch manager Juan know what happened and how I found that very unprofessional on her part. Regardless if she wants to say she didn't say that, she felt the need to tell me crap to make herself feel better when I'm sitting alone in the office with her when she had the chance to say that in front of her manager when he was there. Going through already a frustrating situation with my car and having to hear her unnecessarily comments sent me over the edge and if me complaining does change then so be it. Terrible ! Made a reservation for a midsize car and it was confirmed but once I arrived to pick up my car, was nonchalantly told there were no cars available . I was told there were only full size pick up trucks and the counter staff was not helpful when I tried to ask if a nearby location had one available . Very rude and unhelpful . The poor reviews are true. This place SUCKS. I was told that I only had to wait about half an hour or so for my rental, which I agreed to that was fine. After a little after an hour passed I called for an update and was told they only had pick up trucks. Because of a far commute to work, I asked for a car better on gas. They said okay, there was a smaller car coming they just had to clean it really quick and they would give me the keys. Another hour passed. I called again now getting frustrated and they said they were almost done cleaning it. Long story short, it took about 3 hours to get my rental car. I went in to this location to pick up a vehicle while my car was in the body shop. I had a reservation for another location but the day before I made sure to transfer my reservation to this location. The lady at the counter honestly seemed like she would rather be somewhere else and I totally get it as a retail worker, however her attitude towards me was just unacceptable. She proceeds to tell me that my insurance had canceled my reservation somehow after hours and there was zero explanation as to why, because of this I was without a car for the entire weekend and had to find other ways to get to work. I get into contact with my adjuster and she tells me that the reservation is still very much active and would not be canceled unless it had been sitting for WEEKS. This interaction honestly just made me feel like the lady was simply not interested in helping me or she didn't believe that I actually had a reservation. What began to feel like a poor experience was quickly turned around. Things were not happening in accordance with arrangements that were confirmed several times, and this was frustrating. Upon entering the office, I was greeted pleasantly by Juan and Angel and expressed my frustration at the situation. Juan was quick to acknowledge my frustration and empathize, and without hesitation began working to care for my needs. The team working this day were short staffed and despite the pressures maintained a positive attitude and professional demeanor. This has to be the worst enterprise I've ever been at. They told us the car would be ready at 11. Once we arrived, they proceeded then to take forever to process everything. Once we completed our administrative piece, then they decided this would be the best time to get the car washed and go get gas. Why wasn't this done prior to our arrival? Once I arrived to pick up the vehicle they informed us our pick up time would be a 3pm! I was originally told that I was going to be out in a Mitsubishi and it was taken to go get cleaned. Probably one of the best experiences I've had renting a car. At first I was hesitant to go with enterprise because of the poor reviews but my experience couldn't be further from those negative ones. I ordered a car online the same day I picked it up. Danny called to confirm my pickup and were so polite on the phone. When I got to the store I was warmly greeted and informed that there were a few people ahead of me but that they would be with me ASAP. I waited less than ten minutes and drove away in my rental 5 minutes later. In the parking lot the woman inspected the car thoroughly, went over my paperwork, took my payment and I was off! I'm very disappointed in the car that I received as a result of an accident. I called on several occasions to the location to report the odor in the car of cigarette and I was promised on numerous occasions to have the car switched out and that never happened. One of the representatives told me they were bringing in more cars from the airport location and would call me to switch it out. Never got a call back, I called back several times but the next person to answer did not seem to know anything about it. The car clearly also has a no smoking sign on the dashboard but either the prior user disregarded that message or it was placed after the fact. read more

I planned a trip to Florida and requested certain amenities from Enterprise (major request was a tv). I was nervous because there are never any guarantees with a rental car service. Enterprise on Potranco came through and met all of my requests. We hit so much bad weather and several highway closures on our way through Louisiana where we sat on the I-10 parking lot for 2 hours straight in two seperate parts of Louisiana. The trip would have been horrible for all of us if we had not gotten a tv. Between the movies and the Xbox, my parents and I were able to keep our sanity with two kids in the car. I also had a bad experience at this location. I thought making a reservation meant that a car would be ready at the time I reserved it, but it did not. This is just not a very reliable location, very small and understaffed. The employees don't appear to have much consideration for the customer's time. Every time I've been in here, renting a car was ridiculously time consuming. There's no guarantee that the car you reserved will actually be there. I was talking to other customers in this location and a regular told me that he always had to wait for a long time for service. I waited over an hour past my reservation for them to bring my car around and it wasn't a car I wanted to rent. It's cheap and very conveniently located, but I won't be bringing them my business again and neither will my family. Such a waste of time! The most awful service you can expect from a company. Impossible to reach by phone. After waiting and waiting all I would get is a sound like a fax machine. I attempted to reach them by having another branch contact them and even they could not. I reviewed my cell bill and found that I called them 19 times between 5/24 and 6/3. I was only able to get through 3 times. I also called five times in July 5 and never got through. I did get a sales rep who attempted to contact the branch which she was unable to do. She then told me that a manager would contact me within a few hours. That never happened. I ended up going to another location here in town which did a great job. read more

We picked up the rental on December 22, 2011 at 730am, and was the first customer in this location. We made reservations for the rental through their website (http://enterprise.com). The reason we chose this company was the fact that it listed "unlimited mileage in the Continental US." As we were doing the transaction, Jessica Carrejo (the Branch Manager) informed us that the rental is only for local travel and if we wanted to do unlimited mileage we need to pay an additional $10/day. She even commented that "everyone misreads that on the website" when we brought it up that it was on their website. She gave us the charcoal Chevy Impala (License plate: CC4R768) to rent. When we were picking it up, she did a poor job in inspecting the car as it rained. Rather than her expecting the car, we were the one pointing out the scratches we found. It was very hard to inspect the car as it was wet and dirty. We were wiping the ones that we thought were scratches and finding out that they were dirt. When we point things out to her, she'll tell us that 5 inches or more are the important and notable. There were 4 of us, doing the inspection on this wet and dirty car, and she just stood there taking some notes. After 10 minutes of inspection, we took the car. In the time of the rental, the car has either been parked in the driveway of my in-laws home and or has people in it. It was close to impossible to take any additional damage without us knowing about it. We dropped off the car on December 27, 2011 around 2pm. There were a lot of people there with only Amanda helping them out, as the Jessica was just coming back on her lunch break. We waited for awhile until Amanda was able to help us. Amanda did a thorough and hand inspection on the car. She came back in and had a conversation with Jessica about something she found on the car, rather than letting us know right away. Finally after she got all of her paperwork together, she was just going on as if nothing was wrong, so I thought she wasn't talking about our car. Then at the end of the closing transaction, she told us that she found a huge dent on the rear bumper passenger side. We wanted to see it to make sure it was one of the damage we have brought up during our pick up. Amanda took us out and pointed at it. She even said that "at first I thought it was just dirt, but I rubbed it and found out it was a dent." When she inspected the car, there were more obvious scratches (which were noted with the first inspection) and other dirty part of the car. But it was just that one "dirt" that she checked. I don't know but I had a weird feeling that they knew about that dent. When we explained to them that there was no possibility that we could have incurred extra damage to the car, she condescendingly said that "we're not blaming you for the dent, maybe you parked somewhere and someone hit the car." We go back in the store and saw Jessica checking out a car and doing a thorough hand inspection to the car that they're renting out. I pointed to Amanda that we were the only people here when we picked up the car, the Chevy Impala was wet and dirty when rented out, and we didn't get the same thorough inspection as we have recently observed. Then she had an audacious reply/remark and said to us "well Jessica have a good eye on this kind of thing." It was just ridiculous how we just witness the same person do a hand thorough inspection, pointed it out that we didn't get the same inspection as these people, and have someone tell you that they didn't do anything wrong. We requested the previous records on the car to see previous damages, and they refuse to do so. When we left, we saw them shred our paperwork. It is odd to see that, as they just wrote a report and would think that they would want to keep all copies of the incident. As I'm already frustrated and see that voicing out my frustration to them is not going anywhere, we've decided to contact the corporate customer service (which we already had an ongoing dispute about the unlimited mileage situation). My spouse has written to corporate customer service and has only gotten an automated reply that they will contact us within 48 hours. This by the way did not happen! The only communication we got from enterprise is from the Damage Department stating that they have found damages to the car. Then a second letter telling us that the damage was $280. I've been wanting to write to BBB for a long time, but my spouse wanted to give this company a chance to contact us. I feel like we've been bamboozled by this company. We've rented cars with different companies and have never received poor customer service. I will never rent with this company, and especially with this location, and will tell everyone I know to stay away from them. This is the first time I ever wrote a complaint in my life, as it is always a hassle for me. But this experience with this company and location has been dreadful. read more

Avoid at all costs!!! I recently rented a Chevy Impala from this location. I had reserved the rental through the enterprise.com website. When making the reservation it listed unlimited mileage in the Continental US. At the counter they inform me that the rental is only for local travel and I need to pay an additional $10/day for unlimited mileage. At this time this is being disputed through the corporate customer service. Also when we picked up the car it was a wet and rainy day we find out the car had not been washed. Due to this we are doing an inspection of a dirty car in the rain. There were some scratches we found and had them make note of as all they pointed out was some very noticeable damage under the rear license plate. In the time we had the car either someone was in it, or it was parked in a driveway with no chance of taking additional damage. When the car was returned the attendant did a very through hand inspection and states they found a small dent on the rear bumper. At the time she finds it she states she thought it was just dirt, but when she rubbed it there was a dent. As they had not washed the car and they did a very poor inspection upon check out I know without a doubt that it was already there and they are just trying to rip off customers that do not inspect every little detail of the car by hand upon checking it out! The attendants were also very condescending and had no desire to be helpful with these issues. I am usually not one to write reviews or complain, but this experience has been so horrible I hope I can steer away future potential victims. read more

Before anything else, I want it to be known to other Enterprise customers (those who wrote reviews here and elsewhere; positive or negative reviews) that I also had written reviews in the past and one recently. I don't agree with the ones I read, except for the one written by Sabrina A. dated 1/18/12. I too, complained about Ms. Carrejo, who is no longer an Enterprise employee. Thank goodness! My name is Angelina Jackson, an Enterprise customer since the early 90s and will continue to do so because of their (Josh Anderson, Lee, Gadiel & others) excellent accommodation, service and extreme helpfulness to my spouse and I and other customers. I sat there in their office many times, witnessed for myself, how much the staff/employees had to put up with from rude, impatient, arrogant customers. I just had to shake my had and thought, I couldn't work there. Not with those kind of customers. Anyway, my spouse and I have rented from other rental car companies, but always ended up going back to Enterprise because ONLY them provided us the BEST customer service, still managed to greet us with a smile at us during stressful times. I admit, there were a couple of times the vehicle they rented to us was not cleaned (inside and out), but I focused on the bigger things; that they still managed to picked me up, despite of their busy schedule and surrounded with arrogant, impatient customers and still had a vehicle for me. My spouse and I haven't seen a better group of employees than that of Enterprise'. We are sad that Lee and Gadiel had moved to another department, but Josh makes up for it. He's very professional and always made sure I was taken care of even when he wasn't there. We will sorely miss him when he leaves. I read one of the reviews (someone complained about his phone calls not being answered), sometimes when their (Enterprise) phone keeps ringing, that means the employee(s) are outside giving a thorough check on the vehicle they are about to rent out. I've witnessed it several times while I was there. It's not because they are ignoring customers calls. They are busy accommodating impatient, rude customers. I feel for the employees such as Josh and others because I know how ugly, rude and mean some of the customers can get. In conclusion, I have rented from other rental companies, but Enterprise has the best policies, EMPLOYEES, although I had experienced some rudeness from one employee (as I've stated already, she' no longer there, thank God.). But remember, I have been renting from Enterprise since the early 90s. Enterprise and its employees like Josh provided me and my spouse great customer service that is why we have rented vehicles from them once and sometimes twice in a month since the early 90s. I know the employees are not making a whole lot of money working there, but they always managed to put up with all kinds of nasty attitudes. God bless them.
