Worst rental car experience I have ever had. I was supposed to pick up my rental at the Sugar Land Airport location. I waited for over an hour, and they never opened. I then contacted the company, and the phone representative sent me to the Sugar Land location, telling me they had a vehicle there for me and that she booked it. When I arrived at the Sugar Land location, I was told the vehicle was reserved for someone else and that I could not have it. So despite having a confirmed reservation and being told by the phone representative that a vehicle was available for me, I was left without the car I reserved. At that point, I had no choice but to settle for a minivan just so I could make it to a wedding in San Antonio. Because of this entire mess, I arrived late to the wedding. What made the situation even worse was that I was given the runaround about being compensated for all the inconvenience. I was told they would take care of it, so I trusted that. Two weeks later, instead of receiving the promised compensation, I was charged the full rental price. I called the Sugar Land office to address the situation, and the representative simply kept me on hold. This was completely unacceptable from start to finish. I made a reservation, showed up as instructed, was sent from one location to another, was denied the vehicle I was promised, had to take a vehicle I didn't reserve, arrived late to an important event, and then was charged full price after being told I would be compensated. I have rented cars many times, and this is by far the worst rental car experience I have ever had. The lack of communication, organization, and customer service was extremely disappointing. read more

When my granddaughter went in to try and rent a car she was told she needed a credit card. when my husband went in to get more information and someone else to speak to, she Sadie Challa laughed at him and continued to laugh on his way out. Here today! So I needed to swop out my rental because the Apple CarPlay needed to use my navigation wasn't working; it was pouring cats and dogs on a Sunday and I didn't want to chance the possibility of being distracted while driving looking at my phone. My favorite Enterprise location Downtown Houston stated they had no vehicles until noon, because I was in the vicinity of Hwy 6 and 59 this insensitive Enterprise Rent-A-Car was my only option. I tried calling first with no answer and I knew they probably were really busy. I arrived and the entire designated Enterprise parking was full, full of available rental cars with no additional parking spaces. I go in, there's only about 4 people waiting and 3 employees working. The Manager assists me as I explain my situation, he goes into the system and the expression changes on his face. He then tells me I would have to wait about an hour or two because he reservations scheduled an hour to 2 hours away. I simply smile and be seated because I wanna see with my own four eyes if it's the bs I smelled coming out his mouth. 30 minutes pass and now everyone has been serviced and employees freed including him, he tell a new employee he will need her to follow him to another location to transfer some of the cars because their were NOT needed. PLING! See I knew he was foul! The young lady asks if I was helped, he popped his neck to stop her. He then proceeded to tell me that my current rental was up graded and that unless I wanted to pay the up-charge he couldn't switch me. He then proceeded to explain unless it was a safety issue policy did not warrant the even exchange, I asked "If the navigating system not working causing distracting driving that's a safety issue correct?" Dude said, NO! I heard God say "Didn't WE agree, STICK to who you know and who knows you! Go back to where I sent you originally". After another Enterprise branch told me they don't have the minivan I had reserved weeks in advance available when I attempted to pick it up, I called this location and was told this location has a minivan available for pickup, and I reserved it immediately. Because I needed the car the next day and this location was closing soon, I paid toll and drove there as fast I could only to be told by this location that they also don't have the car I just reserved 30 minutes prior. What do you call someone who sells goods and services that he can't fulfill? A scammer, and that's exactly what Enterprise Rent-A-Scam is. They don't understand what it means to reserve something, and they don't care customers' reservations go unfulfilled. NOT. DEPENDABLE! I completed an online reservation in the early morning for a vehicle pickup at 1 pm from the Hwy 6 Sugar Land location. I received a call from them at 1:05, fifteen minutes into my 20 minute drive to get to them. No vehicle is available. They said they would call back at 3 to give me an update. At 5 pm I still had not heard from them. Convenient to my location, but definitely not dependable. Will go elsewhere next time. read more

This location has great customer service but unfortunately a lousy selection of cars. Ended up in a fender bender a few weeks ago and had to stop by to pick up a rental. I made an appointment Friday morning to stop by at 2:30 on Friday afternoon to pick up a car. When I arrived, there was only one option to choose from. Due to the overwhelming choices, I decided to come back the next morning when they promised a wider selection. Saturday morning led to three car choices. They were all pretty much the same. The employees at this location were really helpful and the whole process is quite easy to navigate. I just wish the had a bigger and better selection of vehicles to choose. read more

I've been renting cars from enterprise for years. I was going to the one inside sugarland airport till it temporarily closed and then changed hours inconvenient for me so I went to this location on hwy 6. Every time I go I never get the car I request but I met Colton, the Mgr, who was very nice and explained everything (the covid situation of rental cars) and from that day always makes sure I'm taken care of. The guys that work there are always very welcoming and nice and helpful. I rent about 3-4 cars from them every year and haven't had any problems. They do have a limited choice of vehicles & have more minivans than Sedans. They usually upgrade me (either for free or minimal fee) Bc my requested car isn't available. I do book months in advance and call a few days before my reservation to confirm my reservation. Never had issues. read more

I had never rented a vehicle from Enterprise before. And I guaranty, I'll never rent from them again. They added expenses that I didn't ask for, nor agree to. Every toll that I went through, they charged me double and then had the nerve to charge me an additional $25 service fee. So, if you don't want to waste a lot of extra money, just rent somewhere else. I've had nothing but good things to say about Budget Rent a Car. Love them and I'll be back to using them again in the future. Also, make sure you cancel or block your credit card after using Enterprise Rental or they'll come back months later and charge your card. If I could give Zero stars I would for a horrible service. A guy at the front desk told me to go rent a car somewhere else and didn't bother to help out at all. Kept looking at his computer and doing work like I wasn't even standing in front of him. Then when I told him that he is not paying attention he tells me to leave the store. I have never encountered anyone with this kind of attitude at work. If he owned or ran the place he wouldn't be using that tone with customers. I was held hostage at Enterprise Rent-A-Car!!! Well, not really, but it felt like it. Recently, my car was destroyed by an idiot who ran a red light. Her insurance company set me up with a week rental through Enterprise which I was happy with having used Enterprise many times in the past. I had to go with the closest location so they could pick me up, but I had never used this location before. I assumed most of the locations were the same. I was wrong. I called this location and they said they would send someone to pick me up. They were about 15-20 minutes late, but I was just happy that someone could pick me up. So, that was ok. The employee who picked me up asked me question after question. He was very intrusive and bugged me about why I needed to rent a car. When I mentioned that my car had been totaled, he proceeded to bug me about buying an Enterprise vehicle. It was actually ridiculous! We arrived at the Enterprise location. We parked in the back and as we walked to the building he kept trying to convince me that I needed a different (read: more expensive) vehicle. I stood firm saying I only wanted what the insurance company was covering but he persisted. Not only that, but I was then questioned and badgered by the manager inside. It was so annoying, I just wanted a car. I wasn't subtle. I explained to them that I would absolutely only get a car that was paid in full by insurance, and that I was decidedly not interested in purchasing a car from Enterprise. After they finally worked out what vehicles they had available in the correct price range, we were able to start the paperwork. When a car was decided on, they had to then go clean it and wash it. Why aren't all their cars ready to go?? As I checked out the car with the salesman (yes, salesman because he certainly trying to upsell everything), again the sales pitch started. I was basically held captive as he tried to pester me into purchasing their insurance coverage for the vehicle. I explained that my insurance fully covered me and he said "Oh I have Allstate and I know that's not the case with them, I don't know if it's the case with your insurance company". I realized later that he had taken my insurance card when I arrived and knew I had Allstate. He's a liar and tried to manipulate me into getting their insurance. After the insurance sales pitch was unsuccessful, he went on to the prepaid gas option. I wanted to scream. I said I did NOT want their prepaid gas. He then tried to "do me a favor" by explaining how cheap their gas was at under $3 per gallon and how it was cheaper than the gas stations. Once again, I only realized he was lying later. I didn't know the car I had rented was a flex fuel vehicle and therefore took much cheaper gas. He had tried to lie his way into another sale. I finally had to just say in my mean voice "please give me the keys I am ready to leave, now". I really felt as if I was being held hostage by his sales techniques. The car I rented was fine, nothing wrong there, but I will not be back to this location. I felt like I was harassed from the moment I got into the car with the driver until the moment I left. There is another Enterprise at the local Nissan Dealership, and that's where I will go in the future. read more

If i said it once i said it a 1000xs 1414 hwy 6 S Enterprise is fantastic. I rented a car for Christmas travels & moved my car to the auth parking area, then Silvia drove the car to me. While i was moving my items to the rental my 24 pack of sodas(a&w cream soda) ripped and crashed all in the parking lot cans rolling everywhere. Silvia rushed back to help me in the midst of cars coming and going i truly appreciated that and just wanted to say thank you and keep up the awesome customerservice! 5-15-19 Just updating my review it's been awhile since i had to rent a ride from Enterprise. So happens i needed them right after the flood here in Houston. Once again they proved unstoppable even though they were out of cars due to all of the surrounding areas needing rentals ... so many folks cars were ruined along with so much mire (my prayers are w my fellow Houstonians) they still were able to find me a car, change my reservation, and i came in way earlier than plan. I have called more than six times trying to confirm vehicle is available per instruction of the 1-800-number and every single time I call nobody answers the phone and says "Hi Please hold..." NOPE---they answer and immediately transfer me to the 800-number again without ever even speaking with me SIX TIMES!!!!!!!!! The Worst service!!!!!!!! Moving reservation to someone else. Colten absolutely has the worse customer service. Please do not waste your time at this location. The manager trainees are unethical and pressured to make sales! Every single experience I've had here has been a pleasure. I had to try a new location after a horrible experience with the w airport location. A rep picked me up from home"ON TIME". He was polite, courteous and maintained his professionalism throughout the whole conversation. He explained a lot about the company and the process everyone goes through starting from the bottom and working their way up. It was very refreshing not to walk into their office and not have the scent of weed in the air like another location I've been to. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Picked up Saturday and returned today!! Can't beat that with a baseball bat!! - Car Rental Near Me - Sugar Land, Texas

Prior to writing this review, I took my time to up the location because I did not want to give a bad review with an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location that wasn't accurate. I scheduled a pick at 1414 Highway 6, for a mini van, unfortunately I was a late arrival and was appreciative of the adjustments the staff extended to me. However, because it was a curb side pick up in the middle of Covid-19, thus thankfully I jumped into the vehicle and did not access any of the interior. I figured that everything would be exceptional given the location. Upon arrival back to my home, and while beginning to load up the vehicle, we (my family) and I began to notice fine pieces of hair throughout the rental. The majority of hair was all over the middle, top sides entries near the sliding passenger doors and back top and back seating of the vehicle. I don't recall humans shedding. I attempted to make good of the situation, while my husband wanted nothing to do with it, except return and trade. I began trying to clean it myself. After all, they had been patient with my tardiness and stated it had been clean (waited 20 minutes). No biggie still. But the kick in the stomach didn't come until the smell down the center of the interior carpet. "DOG or CAT feces! Visibly seen on the floor (we began to take pics). Horrible Horrible!! Needless to say I will not be going back to that location in Sugarland. The good in this is to thank Brushell and Colton (may be getting the spelling incorrect) for stepping up to assist @ 59 and Bissonnet. Not only did they go above and beyond, they switched out the vehicle in a timely fashion and gave me a day off the rental. Even they were appalled by the dirtiness! The circumstances of travel was to bury a loved one, and additional stress was not an option during this time. I appreciate your customer service and for handling the situation with courtesy and understanding. As to the other location (Sugarland Highway 6) ... please check and recheck the vehicles you allow consumers to rent. If not it defeats the purpose of the long message of safety and cleanliness at the beginning of the call. That was a horrible display of attention to detail and misrepresentation of your brand. Go with Hertz or you'll rue the day... ENTERPRISE DOES NOT RESERVE CARS - FALSE ADVERTISING! Terrible customer service, just as despicable as Comcast's reputation. Management and the corporate structure (main number) do not care about the customer's needs or TIME! There is no integrity in their business dealings! It is not acceptable for your overworked employees to be constantly faced with enraged customers when it is corporate communication and inventory dealings are dropping the ball! Customers trust that the business holds up their end of the deal - getting jerked around is unacceptable. The Enterprise system is broken and the management needs to revamp their system or continue to lose business. This is the millennium folks, if you continue to screw over the customers who trust in your business ethics you will be faced with the consequences of the news virally spreading over social media. Similar experience, reserved a car, and they gave it to someone else. Only I was on my lunch break, had to pick up my mother, then fight through lunch rush hour traffic just to get there and find out my scheduled reservation and pickup time were pointless - they don't slap a reserved sticker onto cars when your reservation is made, it's first come first served! I was late returning to work because I had to return my mother to her residence and could not make it make that evening to pickup the vehicle at 5 (an hour before there closing) due to my work schedule and life (HENCE THE RESERVATION). I spoke to 10 different Enterprise employees that day, from the main phone number to the local office (I won't even go into the treatment by their main phone employees or how they had me on hold for about 30 minutes...) - and I wanted to TEAR MY HAIR OUT FROM THE FRUSTRATION. I will take my future business elsewhere, and being a Public Relations major I will definitely not forgive and forget this - I will never send business to Enterprise and will strongly advise all others to go with Hertz. read more

Was in an accident my insurance sent me to the enterprise near my house in Richmond inside the Toyota dealership, But they had no cars for two days and keep giving me an attitude. I finally started calling around and found this one off of highway 6 in sugar land. I have to say they where very professional and friendly. And they got me in a car fast. My parents needed a car for a trip to Houston on December 23. My father and I stopped by this location and were warmly welcomed by Silvia Gonzalez. Silvia explained that because it was so close to Christmas their inventory was slim but we were welcome to look over what they had. She was extremely knowledgeable and offered my father every discount he qualified for. Silvia provided outstanding customer service and made the whole experience hassle free. These guys are absolutely fantastic. After weeks of dealing with mind-numbingly slow insurance claims adjusters after an auto-accident, these guys were such a breath of fresh air. After I got my reservation number, I immediately called and was helped on the phone and told to come by this location. I drove in to pick up my rental, and things were going crazy I must say. If service had taken an hour here, I wouldn't have been surprised. Phones were ringing, and a line had formed. There were three men manning the front desk, and each person was multi-tasking 2 or 3 separate items at a time. Still, I got through the line in a matter of minutes, and I was assisted by the most courteous, friendly, and helpful staff. They were clearly busy, but they made the effort to make things quick and smooth for everyone there. A lady came by to find something she left in a rental, and they immediately brought her her things with a smile. Loved this branch! The guys here are awesome, easy-going and really know how to make you feel welcomed. The place was packed, but Imran seemed to have everyone happy and under control. The process of picking up my rental was made so quick & easy, and Imran made sure that I wasn't going to have to pay anything out of pocket since the last Enterprise I visited really got me for my money. Imran is hilarious, friendly and helpful. He made sure that I understood each document I signed and sent me off in a very clean rental. And guess what? It had gas! **And for anyone who hasn't read my previous Yelp review for the Enterprise at Sterling McCall's Restoration Center: the employees were rude; they charged my debit card without authorization; the rental they provided me with was dirty, poorly managed, and was given to me with the gas tank light on. After a recent accident in which our car was totaled, we requested our insurance company to direct us to the closest Enterprise location to our home, which happened to be this one. We seemed to be off on a good start, since Enterprise did email us promptly to assure us that they have a car reserved for us within the $30/day limit set by our insurance company, which we would be able to pick up on Monday morning. Okay, sounds good. We arrive at Enterprise on Monday morning (accident took place Sunday) and things run pretty smoothly. They take care of all the paperwork and hand us the keys to a Hyundai Genesis. Fine, whatever- any car works as long as it fits in our insurance company's set limits. We're quoted a price of $27 and change, and we're off. This is where things go downhill... Tuesday morning we receive a suspicious call asking us whether we want to exchange our vehicle for a different one. No thanks, we're fine. Then, twice more on Tuesday, representatives from Enterprise call to ask us whether we'd like an exchange. Same thing happens 3 times on Wednesday, and regularly throughout the 10 days in which we have the rental. Why would we care to switch- as long as it can get me to and from work, I'm not complaining, nor am I looking forward to the hassle of exchanging for no reason. The evening we go to back to Enterprise 10 days later to return the vehicle--- BAM!--- we've been charged about $15/day for renting out a larger vehicle. Did we ask for a larger vehicle? No. All we should have been charged were the taxes which the insurance doesn't cover. One of the 2 men behind the counter admitted they had to put us in a bigger vehicle because they had nothing else available the day we rented- not our fault. Now I see the reason behind the repeated phone calls, which I mentioned. The man behind the counter said they always call to check on their customers. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you're calling to check on your customers, the proper questions would be "how are you liking your vehicle?" etc... NOT "do you want to switch?"... And NOT 3 times a day. If only Enterprise had called and mentioned the situation, we would have gladly exchanged the car. Learn to have some faith in people next time. 2 extra stars for prompt initial communication and for a $50 discount (although we did end up having to pay some of the overage). read more

I have rented from this location many times, and every time I receive just the most wonderful service. The assistant manager is Imran Walji, and he will do anything to make sure you are a satisfied customer. Every one should take a lesson from Imran when it comes to making sure that the transaction is smooth and effortless. Imran makes sure that the rental car is clean and in good working order prior to releasing the car, and he makes sure that you are always 100% satisfied. It is not only Imram, but all the employees at this location are as friendly and professional as can be and I will always continue to rent from this facility. read more
