Alright my departure experience with Hertz was better than my entry visit with Hertz. My car was gone and so insurance sent me here. First annoying thing was that the driver they had to pick me up, went home for the day. Like legit went home...before noon. Not because of an illness or emergency..."Oh, he wanted to go home." Like what? People were waiting when I arrived - thankfully due to the autoshop who dropped me off - and it was hard to tell if they were busy or ignoring people as at times customers would try to get some of the employees attention and be ignored. It took a while to get to me and he was mostly okay, but seemed annoyed I wanted to verify the rental chosen for me was either at or below the daily allowable limit. I figure that's a pretty basic question. I didn't care about what car was given to me, other than it didn't go over what insurance was willing to give. They lent me a Kia Soul. It was very clean, sparkly, and ready to go. I learned I do not like Kia Souls, but the car worked and it let me know to avoid Kia dealerships, since I had it for a little over a month. The return experience was so much better. People were willing to help you right away and anyone waiting seemed to be legitimately waiting, not being ignored. It was a whole different shift crew too. Or maybe Hertz cleaned house in that month. I have no idea. I recommend using the Google Maps recommendation of going through constellation field, as it gets you straight into the airport and you'll see the random cars parked in front of the beige-ish building. I'd give them another go, since it wasn't exactly a completley horrible experience, just frustrating at times. read more

Do NOT rent from this location! I read the comments & thought "it can't be that bad..." well, they were right. It is bad. I reserved a premium SUV at this location because it said it was one of the few locations that had the truck we wanted. Ws arrived 15 minutes before they opened and when they did, at 10, they didn't have anything even close to what we reserved!!! Like they are doing us a favor by looking up from there phone 2 - Cars have been dirty, stinking and not full of fuel. When I ask about the fuel, they say bring it back the same. Then when I do, they charge for a full tank. 3 - never available by phone to discuss rentals etc. they put you on hold indefinitely. This location has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen or experienced. They cancelled my reservation without notifying me (I didn't receive any emails or phone calls) because they did not have any vehicles available. The attendant at the desk (I think her name was Tiffany) told me that Hertz can cancel reservations without any notice and that it's the customer's responsibility to make a new reservation. She was not apologetic or concerned in any way. Instead, she was visibly bothered by my surprise & frustration, and she expressed that she didn't understand why I couldn't simply make a new reservation at another location. This is my second bad experience with a Hertz rental in two weeks. Never use this location. People there were rude and unhelpful. I reserved the car twice from them. Both times they claimed they had no cars available when I tried to pick up the car. They never called me or emailed me to indicate they have no car available. I ended up Uber there and Uber back with my own cost. The 2nd time the manager said she can reimburse me for the Uber cost. When I emailed her the receipt and called her, she never respond back. When I was there the 2nd time, I saw many frustrated customers like me. Never use them. This Hertz is untrustworthy Workers seem angry they have to be there. There was one worker that was helping/talking to a lady for 30 minutes while I'm guessing the manager sat in her office w/the door open. She finally came out and helped us. I rented from them through Expedia. Showed up and there's a $500 down payment that's returned once they get the vehicle back. Which that's okay but it's super inconvenient for that be sprung on you as you're leaving for a trip. Which was my case. They need to work on conveying these things better to customers once booked. On Expedia they offer to insure the car for $21/day. Show up here and they try to sell you car insurance again? Except now it's 40+/day and apparently different? I mention it was $21 on Expedia and so she decides she'll price match it for me. Now tolls. They let you pay ahead for a charge of $14/day or you can just pay for the number of tolls you crossed after the trip. I chose the second option since I knew I wouldn't be driving through $14 worth of tolls a day while renting. BUT they don't explain that there is a convenience fee if you pick this option. So while my toll charges were lower this way, they charged me $30 as a convenience fee. This brought the amount I paid for tolls more than the $14/day in the end. The car I received had a gummy bear on the floor of the front seat, which is not a big deal. BUT then the windshield was so dirty it made it hard to see. Even after using the windshield wipers with water it didn't clean up. I genuinely had never seen a windshield dirty to the extent that it was causing glares. So I guess they also expect customers to clean the dirty cars they give. They need to at the very least have them clean enough to be safe to drive They are very clearly are just trying to scam customers out of a few more dollars in every way they can. Attached is a picture of the car given to me from the front. I didn't have a picture of the windshield only but you can see all the dead bugs? on the front and on the little part of the windshield that shows as well. A picture of the gummy bear/dirty floor and the convenience fee they didn't tell me about. I would give zero stars if that was an option. Booked a rental car over a month ago, there was no rental car when we arrived day of. It took over half an hour before they even tried to help us even though there were multiple workers. Said that they called us the day before but we literally showed our phone that there were no calls at all. Gave so much attitude and were so absolutely ridiculously rude. BAIT AND SWITCH. Completed an online rservation Friday. Went to pick up on Saturday. I was told that I did not request economy, that I had requested Managers' special. My reservation clearly says economy. I was told I would have to pay $25 more a day including taxes and fees. The $171.00 that my reservation said would be due didn't matter. There was a woman and her daughter ahead of me that had prepaid for everything, including the extra driver cost. She was told that third party booking rules like on expedia are different from at the counter rules and that next time she should call their location directly. She was told her reservation would more than double to $500 or so because they didn't have any economy or compact cars. Mine would have been over $400 instead of the $171.00. Also, online the per day insurance would have inly been $88 for the week. The amount quoted at the desk was much higher. Meanwhile the line behind us was buildng and there was only this one lady there. I ended up going to Budget rentals about 5 miles from therr that put me in a nICE tricked out suburban for 10 dollars less than I was originally going to pay at Hertz. I Called triple A who I have gone through to the Hertz site and they pulled it up and said the reservation looked different than even the Hertz lady had said. They sent me to their Hertz customer service line which never picked up. I am hoping they dont try to chatge my car for anything but the site does say free cancellation and I told her I would be going elsewhere. I am a teacher with her car in the shop... I don't have that kind of extra expendable cash laying around. When I called AAA, they said that the reservation actually said something about electric vehicle. I would never! To say the assistant manager, Pat, was less than helpful is an understatement. My wife to pick up her rental from this location and was told by Pat, that they have to honor direct reservations before third party, they don't know what they have on the lot and they can downgrade her rental, but they'll continue to charge the original price she paid. Honoring direct customers I totally get, but to break the reservation we need something in writing from Priceline, and Pat REFUSED to give us anything in writing, to the point that she said "I refuse to put anything in writing, email..." which forced us to fight with both Priceline and Hertz Customer Service to ensure the credit card isn't charged because Pat refused to perform that simple task. Having worked a job like this in the past, I know how to walk a lot and ensure I've got vehicles to cover what's needed, I also know with the inventory system Hertz uses, a simple check of the computer and then walking the lot to verify what the computer says, would have told Pat that she has the vehicles to cover the incoming rentals. But then that would mean that Pat knows how to do her job, and she's proven that she entirely too overpaid and under qualified to perform the tasks related to her position. So save yourself the time, frustration and headache. Rent from a company that actually cares about the customer, if any actually exist anymore. read more

Ms Dee at the counter is sneaky! Attention anyone renting here .... Pay close attention to your rental contracts if you rent at this location and specifically rent with DEE. She will tell you you have to add something and if you don't she will fix your contract afterwards to make it look like you added it. BAD BUSINESS !! We had a Tesla model 3 reserved for pick up today so we could go to Dallas in the morning. Low and behold no Tesla was available. They could only offer a Nissan Kick. Not a suitable vehicle for a long trip. I get it. Tough times with car shortages, if there are shortages still. A phone call would have been nice. To at least let us know before driving there to pick up. Customer service skills and problem solving skills at the management could use a lot of fine tuning. Don't take rental reservations if you don't have cars to rent. Simple philosophy After looking at the other reviews at this location, I am no longer surprised this happened. Y'all, I couldn't even write a script as insane as my experience at this location without the suspension of disbelief snapping. This location is awful, but it's a reflection of the Hertz corporation now, so the fault lies much higher up than those behind the counter. Summary: Do NOT rent from here unless you want to pay chauffeur car service prices for a car and customer service that is worse than Budget rentals and still end up carless for a PRE-PAID trip. My incident happened 2 years ago - in summary, despite me reserving in advance, they left me without a usable car 3 days before Christmas and their accountability was a shrug and a figure it out. After explaining the ridiculous week-long, PRE-PAID situation they put me in, they placated me with a days' worth of a free rental. Somehow, I still decided to stay with them because I have been with them for 7 years now, and I'm a loyal customer to loyal companies. Yet when I go to use my rewards, they're gone. I call to get help - get absolutely none because they apparently have no records on their end their agents know how to access and the locations themselves don't keep records. So I do the homework, MYSELF, pull together screenshots, and email customer relations for (1) days' worth of credits - crickets. I went there, just so I can get the worst attitude from the lady/manager that was working there (Friday, April 19th at 3pm, in case you need to know who was on shift at that time). She saw my last name on the list and told me "well, there is no car for you", I showed her the reservation and it didn't matter. Next, I called the worst customer service in the world, and told them that there is no car for me, their response was, go to the manager and get the car, I just spoke with them. I went back and that "manager" told me that there was no car for me and that the lady was lying. The customer service is good but over time, the fleet has drastically gotten worse. You reserve a Medium or Large SUV and they give you a Nissan Rogue which is too small. The manager at this location has allowed all of the better vehicles to be sent or returned at other locations. This is a private airport with private flights and literally the fleet of a budget rental car. The Enterprise location that has a counter at this airport has so much better fleet. I am a going to have to start going to other locations and I rent cars from here two-three times a month for work. I am thoroughly disappointed. read more

If you plan on a car rental from this location, DON'T! The customer service representatives are unprofessional and tend to be condescending when speaking to you. I reserved a small rental car weeks before traveling in March. When I arrived on the scheduled date to pick up the car the associate told me they didn't have the car I reserved and they told me they were going to upgrade the car and this was the only one they had available. They charged me an extra $200 to complete the rental. The estimated amount was $623. I didn't want to postpone my plans so I moved forward with the rental. After, I returned the car I was charged $608 in March. So, in June I needed to rent another car to attend a funeral and I reserved another car a week in advance. The day I was headed to pick up my rental car I notice a recent charge on my credit card for $623 that was charged the previous day. I contacted Hertz customer relations team and the first representative told me flat out that was the charge and they would not reverse the charge. I reported my credit card stolen because I had not rented a car since March. I emailed my credit card statement from March and June to the representative showing the charges. It took them over a week to respond to my email only to tell me the charges were valid. The people Hertz has working for them is going to put this location out of business. You may have taken $600, but I will never rent from you again and I'll tell as many people I can to avoid Hertz and go somewhere else. read more

My Ebony is in the hospital, no telling how long it will be before they get a motor in for my sun roof....uuugg! Sterling McCall/ the hospital Ebony is in, put me in a rental. I arrived at Hertz via ALTO (ordered by my boo Aaron)and it was like walking into a literal nightmare. First impressions matter, the dude on the right I forgot his name was a sour puss. His attitude was a matter of factly attitude, either take it or leave it type of attitude. I knew he was up to some silliness when he asked me if I had reservations or sent by the dealership ( it was another term they used) I truly thought it was my imagination while ole dude tap taped on his keyboard assigning me a vehicle after entering my information in. So he's going over the rental agreement and asking me for a $50 deposit until I asked the hard question, "What kind of car are you putting me in?" He says a Toyota, I asked an even harder question smarty pants "What model"? Tell me why he fixed his mouth to say "A Corolla". Seriously folks, i truly had to think and digest what that little boy said! I swallowed and took several deep breaths before it was on and popping in Hertz! I had to remember what my Life Coach teaches me and all the good money I pay him to remember to act like a lady and remember God is always with me so I must behave. So I asked, "Is that all you have"? I'm 6 ft tall, I come out a midsized suv AND I have a bad back! Who are you putting in an economy car???? First he said yes until I dug deeper, see I've learned to communicate effectively to make myself clear. So then he starts saying he doesn't have any cars cleaned, oh the car washer isn't answering his phone, he only has mid sized luxury cars available yada yada... so of course your girl continued on asking the hard questions. How much difference is it, why can't you get ahold of the car washer, what's those other cars out there... oh yes I was like a prosecutor. At some point he tells me to have a seat and he'll see what he could do. But then he started helping the next guest, now while he's helping the next person I'm listening to his co worker the lady on the left. She tells the person she's helping about several options she has available. I walk up in the middle to actually hear if that's what I heard...several options??? So I interrupted her and him! I told her he said he didn't have anything but a Corolla and I asked him why he lie!! She ignores my questioning. I asked the hard questions again only to discover they must dislike each other AND their jobs because he questioned her too about their availability and she ignored him as well. Seriously what is going on, I'm a secret shopper and this is how things are going down?? While Miss Thang is ignoring us and offering cars, I stated I wanted the car she just offered her guest lol I was first! At some point, the guy in the middle returns from lunch and suddenly everything went smooth and professional. I later found out he was the Manager of that Hertz location and works closely with Aaron and Sterling McCall GMC. When he showed up and started ear hustling, I was put in a 2020 Nissan Morano with a sun roof AND at the dealership rate. I shared with Aaron what happened at Hertz and showed him my secret shopper photos and that's how I discovered the guy in the middle was the manager. With all that went on with getting the rental, the guy on the right saw how disgusting the inside of the car was because he checked the mileage and fuel level. Omg I rented a car for a 2 days vacation for thanksgiving through AAA for a good price. $275 Well. When I walked u to the counter in sugarland airport the guy at the counter who was still on the phone at the same time said (in the flattest unfriendliest way) "are you here to pick up ? Are you Sheppard?" He quickly took my license and credit card, never stating how much he was charging or telling me any rules except asking if I wanted to purchase insurance (which i did $14/day). He handed me the keys and said " the car is somewhere on the lot. Ford Fusion. " and got back on his phone. Okaaaayyy... so what color dude? He gave me the side eye & said well what does the keychain say? WTH. So I walked away and looked at my receipt. $335+ 200 deposit =$535 authorized charge. The amount didn't match what AAA quoted even with insurance. So I went back. Guy didn't bat & eye. He just said yeah insurance and went back to his phone. $200 deposit will drop when car is returned. Ok whatever. Fast forward to Christmas Day. A month later. My credit card shows a $635 charge from hertz. Wow. Wth. My receipt emailed to me from hertz after returning the car shows $335. Nothing dropped from the charge and they even charged more. I called 1-800. Mike v at hertz said he has no idea no documentation why I got charged an extra $300 so he said he'll credit my card back $300. NO IDEA?! That's theft. $300!!!! Wtf Hertz. Then Houston was hit by a hurricane, I went to the location after the hurricane for my reservation and they were closed. Understandably. I called the next day and they refused to honor the pricing I previously had. The cost more than tripled which made it so I can no longer afford it. They will never get my business again. read more

When I got there, I informed the lady at the counter that I had a reservation and was told that there's no car for me. Then after all of this is over they give us a smaller car, which was not worth the hassle seeing as me and my family are well over 6'1. Reserved a pick-up truck rental on 10/11/2021 for the week of Thanksgiving. Now of course, I rented it well over a month because I knew with the car shortage and a holiday week prices would sky rocket. Get to the location today and was told they don't have pick-up trucks and could give me another car. The location thought it was OK to charge me MORE for a smaller car. Unacceptable. The only redeemable quality of Hertz is Craig Williams. My husband and I have been dealing with Hertz and insurance companies for over two months. Several miscommunications from both ends. Most recently the insurance company Progressive forgot to extend our rental from Hertz for over two weeks while our car was being repaired. So when we got the car back and went to return the rental, we found out we had a balance of over $600!!! Ridiculous! We were on the phone with insurance for over an hour to figure it out, but Craig Williams was able to fix the issue in less than 10 minutes. He was super patient and kind. Despite having four other customers screaming at him, he was able to handle our situation and remain extremely professional. If I ever come back to Hertz, I will only speak with Craig Williams.
