Rented a car online like I always do. Drove 45 minutes to pick it up to be told none would be available until the following day and then told by the person reservations dont mean you reserved a car. It just means you could possibly get one. I have no idea how my family is supposed to leave for our vacation at 6am tomorrow and I'm beyond aggravated and disappointed. Just to note 1. I rented thru the enterprise website. Not thru a 3rd party 2. I was told from now on, after I reserve online I should call that location to see if they really have cars 3. No where in my reservation email confirmation does it say to do this. It does not say a disclaimer that your reservations are based on availability Attached is the rental checklist you get once you make a reservation. It does not say call the location to make sure they have a car available. I use the term "reservation " very loosely because although the dictionary defines it as The definition of a reservation is something withheld or the act of withholding something Enterprise defines it as more of a roulette situation. read more

Cars are not cleaned between reservations. The car I rented was gross. It smelled like somebody threw up in it. I tried to replace it but they said they don't have anything else in my class and I can't just complain about the smell to try to get a nicer car. I just wanted any car that didn't stink. I had to keep my car because they refused to give me something else and after I made my first turn out of the parking lot, a soda bottle, body lotion and a kid's toy flew out from under the seat. I also found a handful of fries under the seat haha. It definitely seemed like this car was not cleaned at all. I notified the person that closed out my reservation when I returned and she said yeah they miss a lot of stuff. Pretty poor way to run a business. Don't recommended. read more

This is the WORST Rental Car company on earth. They NEVER answer their local office phones and often pick up the phone and then hang up. Their cars have many safety features that do NOT work such as rear cameras and side collision warning systems and I was told it's fine to use the car without them. NO! It is not. We were in Tallahassee moving our daughter into her apartment for school from Orlando. My husband had to be back to work the next day and I wanted to stay a couple more days to get her completely moved in. I call the toll free number and make a reservation for pick up on Monroe St. and get a confirmation number. We drive to the Enterprise pick up location and give them my confirmation number, I was given. They proceeded to tell us that we could not rent a car there, even though I have a confirmation number from Enterprise, because I did not have a major credit card! Are you kidding me.... nothing was mentioned during my phone reservation I made or when I was given my confirmation number either! I will not use Enterprise again nor recommend them to anyone! read more

I would never recommend using this car service at Tallahassee airport. I was so upset with my experience here today. My flight was delayed and in return, caused me to miss my connecting flight. Instead of changing my entire flight, I chose to cancel the flight and drive instead since I was driving 4 hours away. I booked a car same day and the representative was uninformed, did everything in his power to deter me from receiving a car, and then from what I felt profiled me. He shared he couldn't find me in the system (after searching my name) because they do not do same day rental pick ups. I gave him my confirmation number, he ironically finds me. He then shares I cannot use a debit card for same day rentals (after he told me they didn't do it) which I'm ok with because I had a credit card. I gave him my ID and credit card. He ask for my address to confirm, then went to the back office came back and ask for a secondary ID. I shared that I'm on a work related trip, I do not live in Tallahassee and I just got a flight delayed. I would not have a secondary ID on me. The manager comes out and is not helpful either. They shared its in their policy and basically insinuated that I was committing a scam/fraud. Totally upsetting. read more

This is the worst car rental company. Stay away. This is my third rental with this company, each time an hour prior to my pick up time, they call me to cancel the reservations. The excuse is: You reserved less than 24 hrs. So I made the 2nd reservation 3 days prior. They still canceled my rental. The third time 5 days prior and they said it's less than 7 days. Basically this is an organization without standards on customer service. Do not trust them with your rental reservation. Their employees (Jameson & Kaleb ) offer no help their reply is I'm sorry we do not have a vehicle for you, we tried calling our other locations and do not have a vehicle for you. Guess what, they lied, I had to find another Enterprise down the street to pick up a car. I'm not sure if Enterprise Rent a car lacks training for their employees: Jameson & Kaleb should be at least placed on probation. Stay away this is the worst experience ever! Book Alamo, Budget or Dollar, stay away from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Tallahassee. Horrible business practice. read more

However, after landing in Tallahassee, everyone in line had to wait at least 30 minutes plus for them to get the vehicles eajed and ready. I have been a prolific renter from this location for two years. I expect from time-to-time for there to be issues that need to be addressed. I use the Tallahassee Airport location simply because of their extended hours and we have a contract with them. However, on three occasions they have charged me erroneously for fuel. On two occasions, for more than $40. This latest incidence was just this week. I caught it before I left and went to the counter and the guy would not take off the charge. I then called the next morning, four times, and it rang until the phone disconnected. I have been complaining about this location not answering the phones for nearly two years. She was dropped off at the airport to pick up car and was told she could not use a debit Visa card prior to that she had called company and they said yes you could. I frequently travel to Tallahassee and rent from the Tallahassee airport enterprise office. They leave the vehicle at Million Air FBO. They have been very reliable and leaving the vehicle there on time and I never have to wait. The vehicles are always clean and of good quality with no problems. When I do call the enterprise office, they are very cordial and helpful. I recommend using enterprise at Tallahassee. read more

I have used Enterprise Rent-A-Car in San Jose and it definitely was the best customer service experience in my life, so much so that I referenced them in a company leadership summit! Unfortunately, Enterprise does not roll out their level of customer service consistently across the nation. I recently rented in Tallahassee and this has single handedly been the worst customer service experience in my life. I was not provided an Enterprise representative led inspection of the car, rather they simply handed me the keys and stated the car was in the parking lot. Partially my fault, since I initialed/signed the rental form, however after a red eye flight, I was just going through the motions. I drove the car to Georgia stopping once to grab something to drink and dropped it off on Monday morning. When I was getting something to drink I noticed that it appears that someone attempted to break in the car as there were scratch marks inside the door jam. Please note that in no way could anyone have seen that with a walk around. When I returned the car, I advised the representative of the damage. Long story short they are putting this one on me! I sent a letter, emailed and responded to every call they have made to me. Their response is the standard...you are responsible. I have even offered to pay for and take a lie detector test! Interestingly enough shortly after renting the car, my credit card was fraudulently used in Florida...coincidence? maybe....but the poor handling of this incident leads me to believe otherwise.
