If the car breaks down they will take 48-72 hours to finish your paperwork and will not release your deposit until then. They will not send you a closed invoice for 48 hours, will not call to update you and not email you. After the tow truck takes the car, the uber that they said will take you to the office won't show up. When you call the branch after the tow truck leaves the person on the phone will not say "im sorry this happened, let me see what we can do, the manager will reach out." They will in effect say "So what, why are you calling? What do you want?" They will not have a clue as to what a customer might need after this happens, it will be a bother to talk to you. Lets see if Anybody calls back at all...the car broke Sunday 7-26. Its now Tuesday afternoon...nada. No communication. The tie rod broke in the driveway of my house. If it had happened on the freeway, this would have been waaaay different. They should comp at least a portion of this rental. read more

BUNCH OF SCAMMERS My Toyota Corolla rental got slightly sideswiped by someone. I recorded all their info and brought it up with two people - one guy, big black dude who clearly goes to the gym regularly. He brought his manager over, small little white dude. Little white dude starts scraping at the "damage" with his fingernail and the scuff comes right off. He tells me there's no issue so I leave. Well today I get an email from Enterprise threatening to sue me if I don't give them my insurance information because the car was reported as "damaged or a total loss". Well guess what, shitheads? I have pictures of this "damage or total loss"! Nothing more than a scuff that again came off when the little white dude scraped his nail across it. You guys want to do this? Fine. Then we'll play the hard way since I told you jerkoffs I had the other person's information and recorded the situation. And to top it off, they threw away my dog's stepstool. She has bad hip dysplasia so I made a custom stool for her to get into the car with. I accidentally left it in the trunk, and when I went back to retrieve it, it was gone. The level of staff incompetence is astounding. I've been renting cars from enterprise for over a decade, from different locations; I've never experienced a slower, more inefficient office. There were plenty of staff in the office but only one working. The other staff were leisurely walking around not doing much. The line of people waiting to pick up their rentals was wrapped around the office (at least 10 people waiting at all time) but they still only had one employee actually checking people in. We did the pre-check online prior to our arrival time but that did not matter. They still ask for all the same information when we arrived. We still had to wait in line for 40 minutes to check in again. Then we hear the staff upgrade another client to the car that we preselected. So when it came our turn, we had to wait again for another car to be washed and prepared. It took 3 different staff members 10 minutes to go ask another staff to wash our car. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. If you want to be quoted one price then charged another when the final invoice comes out then come here. The car I was purchasing wasn't ready so I had to keep extending the rental and didn't want any surprises on the final price so I continuously called to check on how much I was going to be charged in the end.. At the end I was charged hundreds more than was originally agreed upon over the phone. I obviously don't work there so I don't understand why they were trying to tell me things I 'should have known' without being informed when I asked. I wouldn't have kept the rental if I knew the rate was so high.. customer service and the branch manager were no help and refused to do anything to render the issue. Or even give out a partial refund. He ended the call with a 'call back if you need any help' like that wasn't the reason I was calling in the first place.. Do yourself a favor and walk a couple steps to the hertz next door for your rental. read more

Update: I spoke to both Leonard Dunn and Andrew. Both were rude and very unprofessional. There was a young lady who answered the phone and lied to say Leonard or no manager was in for the day. When I'm fact he was. Need less to say, they gave substandard vehicles with cigarette burns and holes. Ash on the dashboards. But rentals where through PENSKE dealership as my car needed service. Leonard Dunn was very unprofessional on the phone. He was rushing and speaking unclearly. I was concerned about the over charges and quality of the vehicles given. There was not apologies. There was no professionalism at all. I would never use Enterprise if I had a choice. I'm very disgusted and angry at the horrible services. read more

I've been an Enterprise customer for at least a couple of decades. I've rented hundreds of vehicles in that time. Always good service and great deals. Which is why I was shocked, and frankly LIVID, that when I went to pick up my last rental from this location, a representative by the name of 'Barca'(sic) accused me of being racist in front of a packed lobby of customers and my wife. A couple of weeks earlier, Barca had blown me off after calling the location regarding a missing deposit refund. Despite making multiple promises to return my calls, he never did. So when I addressed this with him in person upon picking up my next rental, he cancelled my reservation on the spot, and called his manager via telephone to falsely accuse me of being a 'racist' and secure his permission to cancel my rental. Yet, despite my asking many times (I have video) Barca couldn't explain to me at all how he had come to that conclusion I was being racist. Just continued calling me 'racist' in front of my wife and other customers - who were all as shocked and confused as I was. Barca clearly has insecurities, and needs help as well as further customer service training. He is not fit to work with others. I wrote to the regional manager of Enterprise and never heard back As a result, I will never, ever again use Enterprise for a car rental in this lifetime. Disgusting behavior by this Enterprise representative at this location. It has badly tainted my overall previously positive impression. They'll never get another dime from me. read more

Long story short I reserved a car, I called the day of to 310-370-5812 , and asked am I able to rent a mini van with a debit card ... the woman told me "yes and to just bring a piece of mail for verification" ... I Uber all the way there. I got to the desk there was another woman who acted so clueless and said no that's not their policy and that I called the wrong number and she's the only woman working there today (mind you there is another woman I clearly see working today ... and I called the number while I was there and it rang and an employee picked up) ... then the other male employee proceeded to tell me I called the wrong number and I can't rent the car without a credit card despite being told different. Beyond unprofessional, unethical, and absolutely inadequate lack of customer service experienced via Leonard Dunn, Torrance CA Branch "Manager." Leonard not only failed to provide basic customer service, and a decent vehicle for us, but was also caught in several lies, such as Deliberately sending my Senior Citizen mother and I, away in an Uber to a CLOSED Enterprise location, after stating he had made arrangements, for the other Enterprise location to be expecting us After Hours. Leaving my mother and I Intentionally Stranded, having to find our way home without any transportation! After spending over $1,000 on a rental with insurance, they flat-out refused to give me a ride--even though I chose Enterprise because of their advertised pickup/drop-off service. Their excuse? It was the weekend and my destination was over 3 miles away, despite their website clearly stating rides are offered within 10 miles. To make matters worse, they forced me to swap the car in the middle of my rental because they needed to sell it. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service is unacceptable. Looooooong overdue! WOW! Clearly the BEST Enterprise in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. I would argue that they are perhaps one of the BEST Enterprise locations - anywhere. Every time I rent from this Enterprise I have a great experience. The staff is super nice and helpful. Hands down the BEST customer service!!! Leonard Dunn is an exceptional manager and his team of assistant managers are just outstanding. I cannot say enough positive things about Leonard personally. He is a very sincere and approachable person. I had no idea that he was the Branch Manager until today. He has been a champion to work with GEICO on our behalf with company policies. Leonard has gone to bat for our family with his regional office to make accommodations. If he can't take care of it locally, he WILL find a way. That is just his way. He is so customer-focused and genuine. Other times he has helped us but never hinted to the fact that he was the Chief. He is so concerned about earning your business, maintaining your business, and making sure that everything is A-OK with the rental, itself. The staff's attitudes are so positive, upbeat, and customer service-focused. They will call you back. They will pick you up. They will take you back home after a rental is completed. They have even called an UBER for us a few times when their driver was not available. Just top-notch management. Diana Vasquez has raised the bar for exceptional service. She is a jewel, and just a really, really nice person. Once I thought I had left a book in the car that I turned back in and she sent an Enterprise person to the oil change place to try to find the book and searched for the book for me everywhere. Recently, I was fortunate to be able to speak with Diana about an issue with a contractor and explain and show her the issues I was experiencing. She immediately took action and together with Leonard they took care of it promptly. Jonatan Gutierrz is a gem. He went above and beyond for us on a rental back in December. He facilitated working with another company to get our rental underway. He has a great attitude, very fast and courteous which I really appreciate in this business. He seems to really enjoy his job. Rick Taylor is the man! He is so very thoughtful. Once he came out to the parking lot to give more information to us for our UBER courtesy. Just top-notch service. Rick has a great attitude - always smiling and will go out of his way, even in the rain. As he was walking back that day into the building, we were so impressed by that kind act. You can count on him to be super helpful. He's not always there, but when he is, he really lights the place up. Great energy! Great job!! Sarah is also very sweet and strives to give your account the attention it deserves. She is honest and patient as well. The team - Super efficient and friendly people! The courtesy driver is also polite and professional. Venue - Right off a busy street. Smaller lobby than airport locations, but welcoming environment, kept clean. Fleet - Cars are in pristine condition. Good selection. Mostly brand new. We have never had a problem with a smoke smell, or cleanliness. They will walk you out on the lot and present you with a few choices in your category. Return - Checkout upon returning the car is literally a 30 second transaction. Not sure why this place has any reviews less than than five stars. I have rented from this particular location at least six times and every time each visit outdoes the previous one. From their great customer service to their pre-pickup confirmation they are always on top of it. If I've ever had any issues they have addressed them right away. This last time I went in to pick up my full size sedan and the previous person had stated some sort of issue with the vehicle I was slated to pick up. They immediately notified me and upgraded me to the next vehicle size up free of charge. During this same visit I was running late on the return that was supposed to be done by noon and I called and let them know I was running late and let them know I wouldn't be able to be there by any earlier than 3pm and they were very accommodating. Rented a car here for a week. I was able to get a 2020 Lincoln Navigator from them. initially had problems with my card ( which is my fault) because it was physically broken and was unable to be inserted/swiped/manually rung it, but their team helped a lot. Melissa even helped us and stayed overtime to make sure we were set. 1 week later, Justin and Rick were very helpful. I ended up taking the car to get a nice car wash but they told me they had their own group of guys who will do it( unless the interior needs detailing they won't charge you.) which was nice of them to mention. Next time i'll consider that. overall a great experience renting a car here. read more

For the Labor Day Holiday I needed to Rent a car since my daughter and I had planned a road trip to Paso Robles and we needed to have Air Conditioning for sure! I made my Reservation on the Enterprise website to pick up my car on 8/31from the Torrance location since I have Rented many cars from there and it has always been a great experience. We ended up Renting a Hyundai Tucson SUV which was perfect since we had alot of bags to take on our trip and there was still plenty of room left! The car was nice and clean and it had all the bells and whistles that we like including Bluetooth, Handsfree, and an indicator that showed how many miles we had left when the Gas light came on. Overall it was an excellent experience and we will continue to come to this location for all of our Car Rental needs! read more

I reserved an intermediate car and of course when I arrived they were already renting it out to some lady in the parking lot. I said OK maybe they have a comparable one. I always rent one with a 4 cylinder due to the gas being so expensive. The representative said we have this Frontier truck for the same price. I asked if it was a 4 cylinder and she called someone on her radio and they stated that it was. I said perfect! No freaking way a four wheel drive vehicle is a 4 cylinder. This thing was a gas vampire. I ended up wasting $160 for my 560 mile trip instead of the usual $85 for a four cylinder. I feel ripped off as they were not honest with me. Don't take my word for it just look at other reviews when someone reserves a specific type and end up giving you something that you did not reserve or worse have nothing at all. What is the point of reserving a car if you are not going to hold the specific vehicle type? I am sure all we get are excuses about inventory issues, supply and demand, blah blah blah................... read more

I was in need of a long-term rental because my catalytic converter was stolen and the wait for a replacement was gonig to be be 3-4 months. I could not be happier with the customer service I received at this location. I had to switch out my car a couple of times and each time, I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. I hope this review is for the correct store on Hawthorne blvd in Torrance. I have rented from them in the past for any reason ranging from long road trip to my last visit this week which was because my car was in the shop for a somewhat major repair. My budget was limited, and even though I reserved the night before for an early morning rental I was unable to get there until after lunchtime. Not only did they honor the rate that I signed up for, I am 6"5 and cant fit comfortably in most cars so they put me in a Kia that had just as much room as my Camry and got me in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. Consistency is something that I value greatly and no matter who rents me a car there, the experience has been consistently a great one. Thanks Enterprise Torrance!!! I had June help me out and hook me up with a nice ford fusion. I had a reservation scheduled for 10 was late about 45 mins, due to repair shop next door and still found an affordable vehicle. The only complaint I have is that check in/out doesn't accept Apple Pay for payment although I was told different on the phone. Also I was going through insurance and was low on cash for deposit ($100), I also was awaiting my new credit card to be sent to me... they don't allow anyone to pay if they are not on the insurance policy. I was also required to pay $5 in taxes a day. So be prepared for that on top of my $30 a day rental. Nice selection of cars though! read more

Whenever I'm in need of a rental car, whether it's after an accident, or just for leisure, I come to this particular Enterprise location. A big plus to renting with Enterprise is that they have a veteran's discount. You'll have to call their corporate line and provide your USAA number. Another plus, pertaining to this particular location, is that they are located right next to my auto body shop of choice. So it's a quick 30 second walk here. The last time I came here, I was tended to in a timely manner. I provided my claim number, ID, and credit card, and I was well on my way to see my rental options. I was able to get a decent rental car, and the entire process took less than 15 minutes. Switching out cars, and turning them in are both seamless processes here. I always find the staff friendly and helpful here, and I have to complaints about the quality or efficiency of service. read more

Yesterday I stopped in to reserve a mid size truck. I met the Assistant Branch Manager Cameron Anthony who helped me with my reservation. Cameron was pleasant to work with and extremely helpful. He searched for the best deal for me and I was pleasantly surprised with the price he provided for a mid-sized truck. Today, I arrived to pick-up my vehicle. I was almost an hour early and expected to have to wait. Cameron met as soon as I arrived to inform me that the truck I was supposed to rent had a mechanical issue and that he was in the process of figuring out a solution. He returned in less than one minute with a key for a full-sized pickup truck. He said that due to the issues with the other truck, I would be receiving an upgrade. Cameron clearly had already worked out a solution for this issue and had planned this all along. My experience with enterprise was OUTSTANDING! Beware of the insurance package upsell at this location. We've gone to this Torrance Enterprise many times before with no issues, but this time the agent who helped us was determined to get that extra cost on to our contract. So much so, that she put it on there anyway even though my husband clearly told her "no" at least twice. She hurried through the signing process and unfortunately we didn't notice the charge until after we returned the vehicle. Again, we've been to this place many times before so we trusted the customer service there. After we returned the vehicle and saw the charge, a lady who claimed to be a supervisor said she would take care of it. At first she said it was too late, but we pointed out to her that we have never gotten an insurance package before so this was out of pattern for us. She confirmed it by checking her records. She said she would refer it to accounting to credit back our credit card. It's been 2 months and nothing. At this point, it's the principle of the matter. It's upsetting that anyone would just add an upcharge after being told no and then it was made worse by getting blown off by someone who claimed to be a person in charge. So everyone, please be aware and check your contract! Sadly, you cannot assume the agents are professional and trustworthy. BTW, the low rating is not only because of the 2 lousy agents at the location, but also because the inside of the car was dirty so we had to wipe it down when we got home before we used it for family travel. read more
