Every time we've done so the van has been nice and new and clean, the service is always with a smile and a hug (minus the hug), and it's great because they have a good sized lot were we can leave our car during the rental time period. The they gave me an auto that had only a 1/4 tank of gas, it was dirty and the tire pressure light came on within 48 hours. I then added air to the tires and the light would not go off. Additionally, the wiper fluid was almost empty. I called at 10 am today to get a replacement car since my tire pressure being low would make the car unsafe to drive. The manager stated they did not have any SUVs but he would try to locate another one and get back to me when he had one. I never heard back from him as of 7pm now the location is closed for the day. This company needs to monitor their management, especially the Route 17 South location in Paramus, NJ. If the manager doesn't follow up on things chances are the staff will not.

I had a confirmed rental (although the confirmation email states in fine print that it's no guarantee of a vehicle being available). I showed up at the location at the confirmed time, only to be "walked" and told there wasn't a truck available and that "someone" in inventory was supposed to have contacted me. I left and made a reservation w/UHaul who actually guarantee to pay you $50 if a confirmed rental isn't fulfilled. To make matters worse, Budget charged me a $75 no-show fee even though they were the no-show. I had to call customer service and after about 5 min was able to get them to process a credit. Their initial response was that I was supposed to cancel my reservation. Go figure.

The plate glass on the front door is shattered, the security camera is half pulled off the wall, the garage is a mess, as is the parking lot, and half of the shrubbery is littered with paper or is dying. The staff denied my online reservation, saying it was for another of their stores, but they gave me a replacement car. The problem was the tree sap or some other sticky stuff on the hood of the car. They tried to wash it off, but no dice. They didn't have any mineral spirits in the mess of a garage. Worse was that the windshield fluid was low, so the dashboard control drove us crazy until we stuck a hose in the reservoir to fill it up. Earth to Corporate: Are you listening?!
