It got so bad that today I finally called for a different car and Elijah was super supportive and helpful with no headaches or issues. From my recent experience with Enterprise, I will no longer be using their services, and I'm sharing this so others can be aware!! While driving to the airport for a business trip, my rental car started shaking on the highway. I had to pull over, and after calling a towing company, I was informed that two lug nuts were missing and all the lug nuts on all the wheels were loose. This was not only incredibly dangerous but could have resulted in a serious accident. In addition to this safety issue, I had to change my flight, which cost me an additional $190, but Enterprise did nothing to compensate me for this expense. I tried to reach out multiple times, emailing the account manager and contacting customer service, but I received no response. When I dropped off the car, I was told someone would follow up with me but no one reached out. The lack of care for my safety along with the poor customer service has been incredibly disappointing. I'm not only upset about the flight change fees and the stress this caused to my work schedule, but the fact that Enterprise seems to place no value on ensuring their vehicles are safe to drive. I travel a lot for work and rent cars frequently. It's disappointing that Enterprise failed to take responsibility for these serious issues, and I will not be renting from them again. The car was dirty when I picked it up--smudges on every window, no exterior wash, and the interior clearly hadn't been vacuumed. By day two, I discovered a slow leak in one of the tires, and all four seemed improperly inflated. When you rent a car, you expect it to be clean and road-ready. This one was neither. Having to wash the car and deal with tire issues during a stressful time was frustrating and inconvenient. I wouldn't use Enterprise again unless I absolutely had to. read more

We had a horrible experience with Enterprise. We rented from a Wheat Ridge, Colorado location. The morning after we rented the car the check engine light came on in Pueblo, Colorado. It was also running a little rough. So, we called roadside assistance. Roadside assistance did not want to help. When told of the problem, the rep was difficult to deal with. When I was talking with my wife during the phone call, the rep got upset and hung up. It was ridiculous. Originally, she said she would send a tow truck. But because she hung up we had to call back to make sure a tow truck was coming. When we called back, we realized the check engine light was off. We wanted to make sure we should drive the vehicle. The next representative claimed that she could see that we called in and that a tow truck wasn't sent. But she also alleged that my date of birth did not match anything with Enterprise and she couldn't help us. Did the first rep change my date of birth? It appeared to us that the roadside assistance people were maliciously trying to leave us and not help. It was awful. Later the check engine light came back on. We knew roadside assistance wouldn't help us, so we contacted the local office via text as we were told to do in a text. They never responded. We kept driving the vehicle with the check engine light one. It was stressful. Never rent from Enterprise. Ever. read more

Let me share our story of a recent interaction with Enterprise Rent a Car. My wife recently was involved in an accident (not at fault) where her car sustained significant damage. We were directed to enterprise for a rental while her car was being repaired as they are who Liberty Mutual Insurance companies use for car rentals. We got the car and all was fine. When her car was repaired Melissa made arrangements to return the car and she was told by Enterprise that she could just drop the car off at the body shop that did her repairs. This was on May 25. She did as instructed and dropped the car off when she picked up her car. A week later she got a call from Enterprise saying that there was hail damage to the car she was responsible. In the course of the call she made it clear that the car was not in hail while in our possession. The one time at work she thought it might hail, she moved it to a covered location so it would be protected. The hail did not occur. At home, the car was in the garage when not in use for the entirety of the rental. All other times it was in close proximity to my wife. When we received notification of the claim, the employee at the location lied in his report and said that Melissa said the damage occurred at work, which she did not. The date of incident is reported as June 1, so the car was apparently not picked up for 6 days after she dropped it off (interesting to note that on May 26 there was hail reported at the Autobody location). She contacted the Damage Recovery unit at enterprises which was in itself a fiasco of epic proportions (numerous transfers, long wait times)and they said they would do a review. 5 weeks later we receive notification that they have done the review and determined we are responsible for the damage. No explanation, just a bill for $1134.18. And still a date of loss Of 6/1, 6 days after the car was returned. And now, to make matters worse, My car was stolen from the airport last Tuesday morning and i need a rental car while they process the claim. Unfortunately, my choices are Enterprise or out of pocket with reimbursement. read more

Made a reservation to pick up a truck at 11:30. We arrived to find a line of people waiting outside who also had reservations. They clearly overbook their appointment slots and don't have enough staff to assist everyone. There must have been 7-8 people who also had reservations for around the same time. The wait ended up being about an hour and the I could overhear other people in line rearranging their plans for the day due to the ridiculous wait. I've rented cars dozens of times and have never had to wait more than 15-20 minites. I like enterprise as a company but this location is awful. read more

Everyone, please be sure to take photos/video of your rental car before and after for your protection. I was wrongly accused of hail damage. Two weeks after I returned the rental car, I received an email from their headquarters, the damage and recovery unit, stating there was damage to the car and they wanted my insurance info. That was a big surprise to me because that didn't happen. I returned the car in the same condition when I got it. I called the WheatRidge location and spoke to Josh to find out what the heck was going on. Josh told me that there was a note in my file stating they found hail damage to the car. I explained the car didn't have any hail damages when I returned it. That was absurd, I didn't drive it in the hail, it didn't encounter hail. He said there was hail in my area on that x date and x time so that must have been when the car got damaged. I told him the car was inside my garage on that x day and x time, but he basically said there was nothing he could do about it. He said he will call headquarters to follow up and get back to me. Three hours later, still no call back from Josh. After I got off the phone with him, I checked my ring camera in my garage on that date and time, and the car never left that day! Further more, I had a credible witness who was the key to save me from this mess. When I returned the car, I returned it to Caliber Collision on Fig St, and Kim was the one who received my car. She was the one who called Josh back for me and told him that she was the one who received the car and that she didn't see any hail damages to the car when I returned it. I'm lucky that I have a testimony from a car bodyshop expert to vouch for me. Kim spoke to Josh, and called me back to tell me that Josh will send a No Pursue Order request to headquarters so that they won't go after me anymore. So everyone, learn from my ordeal and be vigilant to protect yourself. Take pictures and videos so you'd have proof to save yourself. read more

My car was super clean and there was an extra chlorox wipe packet in the cup holder for me to clean any extra spots. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. This was the worst service of any company I have ever used. I booked a reservation for a rental car pickup and arrived one hour late to my reservation due to a flight delay. The clerk scoffed at me and said, "This is like a doctor's appointment," I was supposed to be there exactly on time, and my car was no longer available. However, this 'policy' is not stated in the booking agreement. The clerk then said she would call another location but walked outside, laughed with coworkers, and approached me less than two minutes later to say every location was sold out. The only thing that aligns with this behavior is the clerk's unprofessional attire. She wore an extremely low-cut top, ripped jeans, and heels which I assume contradicts her professional obligation to adhere to enterprise's "rules." If you expect to be treated with any semblance of professionalism, I recommend you avoid this location. read more

Took care of everyone before myself with a smile and told them their vehicles would be ready in "just a minute." When he got to me, someone younger looking, I had to wait 45 minutes. Prior to arriving in the store, I was on hold for 20 minutes and actually had to call from my husbands phone to be attended, while still on hold on another line Never had to file a claim or get a rental car in my life, and Nicholas, the Assistant manager at this location has left a very bad impression on me. We only rent cars through Enterprise. There is never an issue and the rates are reasonable. After doing some research we found this location had a much lower rate than the one at the airport so we decided to go with this location and Uber to and from the airport. No issues with the car. The only thing is I was originally charged over 600 bucks for the week when I picked up the car, when my reservation print out said it would be less than 300. When questioned on it they said they would adjust the charge. Then they charged my CC about 90 bucks more than my quoted price.... I called again and the manager apologized and fixed it. I get it, mistakes happen, it is all about how you deal with it and customer service which is why I gave 5 stars. My only real issue is that they really push those protection plans every time I rent from them and now they phrase their questions as if you feel like you have to purchase a plan. I know it is corporate pushing this because they make a ton off of the plans but it is quite annoying when they try to scare you into purchasing their plans. When I told them I am covered by my auto insurance they asked me questions about my policy and insurance company. Again, not this location's fault but just a general annoyance with this and all rental companies. I would recommend this location to rent a car. Just make sure your reservation quote matches what they are charging you. read more

Well after walking in the snow and very cold weather for 7 miles I got to this Enterprise an low and behold they wanted 2 documents showing that I was a resident. ( aww out of state people usually rent cars!!! ) we obviously I don't have a cable bill, power bill, gas bill, phone bill or drivers license showing I'm a resident but please let customers know we need these this to rent a car. So what happend was the ladies at the front desk just shushed me out the door once again into the snow and very cold weather to walk back to my home! So far so good. I've been visiting this store location for five years now, and have had a positive experience nearly every time. The faces around the store definitely change nearly every season, but friendly has been my experience most of the time. Sometimes the "we'll pick you up" option takes more time than usual, so plan for at least a 10/15 min delay, maybe more on busier days such as Mondays. The $9.99/day weekend special during the non-summer months is very nice and I've definitely taken advantage of this offer when we need an extra car for the busy weekends. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. The first car they gave me was Jeep Patriot, which had brake and transmission issues. It would make a loud noise when you brake and they gears wouldn't work in the morning. However, I was able to exchange it for Kia soul. The customer service was not that great. The employee who brought me the me the car at Caliber Collsion center was hardly welcoming. If you have to rent here, take pictures and be thorough with everything -- I visited this Enterprise back in March 2019 - not by choice, another driver had damaged my car and their insurance was paying for a rental car while mine was being repaired. The day I picked up the car we went through the usual procedure - I walked around the car with their employee Mark to note any damages. The car had prior damage, so while going around I verbally noted things like "dent above the wheel well", "paint missing on grill", all received with a verbal confirmation of "yes, got that" while he typed on an iPad. I signed off, had the vehicle for about 2 weeks, and upon returning it was asked about the same damage. I explained we had already noted this when I did the first walk-around with the vehicle. Now apparently, when a vehicle is in "good condition" (aka no damages), they code it 'wthr2d2' under "Vehicle Condition" on your rental agreement - which appeared on mine. The manager explained that they don't actually mark down dents or dings smaller than 2 inches (if there are any), and report the vehicle as "good condition". The dents I pointed out, as well as the paint missing were apparently insignificant enough to not specifically note. This was explained to me after the fact. In conclusion, I unfortunately had to pay for the original damages of the vehicle. Enterprise actually noted a "date of loss", aka when the damage happened, as 2 days before I even dropped the car back off - making it seem like I alerted them that something happened to the car before I came in. ALL this to say, please if you have to rent from this office, take pictures of everything. Or better yet, ask for a car with no damage. I was naive not to take pictures of the entire car before signing off. At best, the employees are inadequately trained to properly inspect each vehicle. At worst, it's dishonest business practice to pin prior damages (by who knows) onto their customers. As this was recently settled I felt compelled to leave a review. read more

Rented a car from the wheat ridge Co. office on April 15th 2019. Returned it April 18th. On May 6, 2019 I received a letter from Enterprise informing me of a moving traffic violation citation against me that occurred in Ft. Collins during my rental contract and that I would be receiving the actual citation and occurrence in the mail. I received that citation with actual date of the occurrence which occurred on April 11, 2019...(5 days before I rented a car) along with a picture of the guy who was actually driving said car, 11 days before I rented. Of course the picture caught on the radar and camera wasn't me. So, when I received the first letter from Enterprise informing me of my traffic violation charging my credit card $20 for administration fee's I called Wheat Ridge office about it. They were no help and brushed my inquire off giving me a # to call which transferred me from 1 department to 3 others that was no help at all. It's more than obvious to me that the moron at this office who gave my name and financial details to The traffic bureau didn't check the date of the violation. I will be filing a formal complaint to the regional office. I spent days fretting over this before I received the actual citation that will clear my name and violation against my driving record. read more

When we went to pick up our rental car there was some confusion on our reservation and, at the time, management was not able to resolve the matter positively. Since then, we have received an apology from the manager and excellent customer service. I appreciate that the management was able to recognize that there was a problem, addressed the problem, and corrected the problem. In a day where companies don't see the need for customer service, it is nice to see Enterprise Rent-A-Car show excellent customer service. I usually refer this location out 2-3 times a month to my customers and will continue to do so. It is nice to know that if something does go wrong that my customers will still be taken care of. read more

My first experience with a rental car company, and boy it was not a pleasant one. My car was involved in a head on collision- other driver claimed someone "waived him out", trying to turn left across four lanes of traffic. My car went in the shop, and I was offered a rental car through enterprise from the other driver's insurance. They said it would be completely taken care of. About three days before my car went in the shop, I received a call from this office. I was told they would need my driver's license, and a credit card (but only to put on file) when I picked up. I asked again, if they would need to charge anything to my card, they assured me it would not be charged. I went in to drop off my car on Tuesday. Enterprise had a mini office in the body shop. The lady at the desk immediately asked me for my license and credit card to put a $50 security deposit on. I told her that was not explained to me, and let her only do a deposit of $25. She also pressured me to purchase the Enterprise car insurance, and their gas. I didn't do either, as this is already covered under my own car insurance. The car was fairly new, and I did not have any problems with it over the two days that I needed it. When I returned the car, nobody was at the mini office in the body shop. They told me that they could call them, but it would take around 30 minutes for someone to get back. I was only on a break from work, so I did not have time to wait around. I was told someone would give me a call that day and let me know that they received the car and everything was okay, and they would refund my deposit, or tell me that I owed for gas, etc. I never received a call. Three days later, I still had not heard a peep, so I called in. Upon calling in, I spoke with the same gentleman that I had talked to the first time. Yeah, the one that neglected to tell me that they would ask for a deposit. I explained that I had returned the car, and still had not heard from anyone. He said that they received the car, and he would put in the refund to my credit card (that should have already been done). He also asked how my experience was, I told him pretty crappy. He wanted to know that they could do to improve it. When I told him to make sure that they informed people of the deposit, etc, he said, "I really need to make sure that my team is disclosing that to everyone." I'm sorry sir, but you were the one that didn't disclose that information, since it was you that called to confirm all of my info. If I ever need to rent a car in the future, it will not be from Enterprise. read more

It was one of my first accidents and they walked me through everything. I walked out in 3 minutes with my rental and returned it a few weeks after and everything was prompt and friendly. I would give them a zero if it were possible. We rented a Jeep Renegade and used it around Wheat Ridge for a day to visit family there, then drove to Breckenridge to ski with my brother and family. While we were in Breck, the rear passenger quarter panel was scratched. There was not an accident so we did not notice it until it was pointed out to us by the manager of this Enterprise. It looked as if someone scratched it with skis. The parking lots were very tight at the ski resorts so it seem likely. We rented our skis and returned them at the bottom of the ski lift, so we were oblivious to the 5 inch scratch. The manager took our insurance info and told us he would call with the estimate. He never called. We received a bill in the mail from Enterprise for $424. I called this location and asked to speak to the manager that took our info; he was in a meeting... same story the next day and three days later. The bill seemed reasonable so I called the claims department to pay it out of pocket. I was told that it was a mistake that it was $500. Not that big of a difference so before I paid it I requested it in writing. The next bill came for $524 so I called the claims dept. to find out why there was another increase. I was told that the total had not been added correctly and the bill was really $725. I was furious. What a racket! For a paint scratch forward of the back wheel. The shop charged for removing the bumper and the tail lights among other things. It was highway robbery. When the next bill came it explained the claim adjuster had subtracted the deductible which we never paid, so the real total was over $959. That is when I called my insurance company and told them to handle it. State Farm is doing an in house investigation on this. Enterprise has been sending and calling with threating messages. I have referred them to my insurance company, but the keep threatening me with lawyers bills and collection agencies. I am filing with the Better Business Bureau. read more
