Adam was super helpful in swapping out our Sienna minivan that we had rented at the airport the night before...and had a dead battery in the key fob that didn't let us unlock doors and caused issues with starting the car. Adam swapped the car with another Sienna and we were on our way in 10 minutes. As we left, he was talking to another customer who had rented a Suburban previously and Adam had found something left in the car and had saved it for him. Kudos for caring. Good local branch. If I could give zero stars I definitely would. We rented a vehicle for vacation. When we received the vehicle, the outside was filthy. We were told we could take it to a car wash and they would deduct up to $20 for the wash. The inside had footprints in the back as well as driver side. Also noted, there were no floor mats in this vehicle at all. When we returned the vehicle, we vacuumed out the vehicle top to bottom, wiped down the interior (even though we did not receive it that way) and windows. Photos are attached in the review of the returned vehicle. All of a sudden, over 24 hours later we receive a call that we will be charged $325 for cleaning the vehicle out. I was shocked. If you review the photos of the vehicle, there is no dirt, sand or dust in the vehicle. The vehicle was returned spotless. I will be fighting these charges as that is a little excess for cleaning. Steer clear of Budget in North Glen on 104th and spend the extra money at enterprise car rental. I read all reviews here and the cleaning fees are crazy. They do not clean the vehicles when you get them! Its your responsibility to clean it they said. Attached is also the Budget agreement paragraphs on returning the vehicle clean. This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. I rented a car with them on a weekly basis for almost a month. Every week I'd pay them, then once I returned the car they decided to way over charge me by $1,000. I have never rented from a rental company that decides to charge you the weeks you rent after your done renting. They ruined one of my accounts and still claim that i owe them, then they have the audacity to send me a letter saying that I cannot rent with them again. Honestly if your looking for a rental company go up the street to 104th and Washington to the Enterprise Rent a Car they are amazing and have no surprise charges when your finally done renting. This company as a whole is a joke please look elsewhere when renting and save yourself from a headache and surprise charges. read more

Even though I specifically asked about a late return fee if I dropped the key in the after hours box and was told there would not be a late fee, I was charged a late fee. No answer at the phone number provided on the contract. Lying to customers is never a good practice. I would advise you to rent elsewhere. read more

I couldn't have asked for better service! After a nightmare of an ordeal in trying to rent a car at the beginning of my trip in Springfield, MO, I was expecting the same here. What I received was the opposite. I got helpful, friendly service, a car (something not one rent-a-car service in Springfield or Branson could produce 1 MONTH after having a RESERVATION) and I received a huge upgrade since the car I requested wasn't available. I was renting a car to drive up to hike the Rockies, and being able to led a high point in my vacation. Adam is wonderful and he truly cares about helping people in whatever way he can. We had an issue (not with his location) that we'd been trying to resolve for a week. Having found no one who could assist us and seeing few remaining options, I decided to visit my local Budget location and see if someone would be able to help us. We got there just after Adam had closed the store for the day, but when he saw us he opened back up to help us. Adam was able to quickly figure out what no one else at the corporate Budget call centers could, and he did everything he could to lay the path for a happy resolution to our issue. After talking to over a dozen people from multiple organizations looking for assistance on this matter, I know it is not every day you find someone in customer service who truly cares and will go out of their way to help someone out. But Adam is one of these people. Although I would guess that there exist corporate policies and procedures that end up causing headaches for local independent operators - and thus not everyone will have an ideal experience - I very highly recommend Adam as a capable, kind-hearted problem solver. read more

this Budget Rental initially seemed OK, then after returning my rental vehicle it went down hill quickly. I was told I was getting my rental car at half price from my initial reservation. I arrived 5 minutes after my scheduled pick up time, and they could not/would not provide my reserved vehicle until the next day. Kind of an inconvenience but I didn't complain much. Then, the person taking care of me said I would get my rental for half price to make up for the inconvenience. OK, so of course that was a great thing since they are so extremely expensive to start with... I got my car and went on my way a day later than I had reserved the vehicle. They don't give you a receipt until you drop the car off. The receipt is long and extremely confusing. Once home, I called the 800 number and asked for an explanation of the bill. After going over line for line what I was charged for, there was NOTHING there that was half price. Not a thing. So, I have to assume I was lied to and didn't get anything half price as well as a bill that was much higher than my initial reservation charges. So, in essence they bumped me from picking up my scheduled reservation vehicle until the next day...and still charged me full price for everything, after telling me they would give me the car for half price. I will never use Budget again nor will I encourage anyone to use this place. They obviously LIE. read more

If you expect to be treated fairly and kindly, this is NOT the place for you. This is the first review I have ever written about a business, and it's because I normally do not complain and am a pretty understanding person who is easy to work with. But after my horrendous experience with this Budget office owner and the TERRIBLE service I received from Budget Roadside Assistance, I would love to inform others what to expect before you visit this office. The owner, Mr. Eric Collins is insensitive and did not take accountability for their oversights and mistakes the way he should have. He was rude over the phone and pretty much every single thing that could have gone wrong with this rental experience went WAY WRONG. I will say that the other employees I spoke with there were kind. But they are misinformed about Mr. Collins and the sort of customer service HE himself as owner provides, they had told me he would call me and they were quite sure he would address my bill accordingly, in light of the endless oversights and mistakes MADE BY BUDGET, NOT ME! But they were sorely mistaken. He did call, but was rather rude, cut me off mid-sentence several times, and dismissed everything I said. I recommend not giving your business to a man like Eric Collins. read more

If you do not mind throwing your money at poor customer service, go right on in. The folks here do not answer the office phones. I attempted to contact them by phone as I had questions but the call kept going to that corporate line with the auto-answer. Finally, i physically went to the office, only i arrived 3 minutes after closing. the people behind the counter saw me at the door but they turned and went away via back door. All I needed to know was if they provided a pick up service. I did find a way to get there but later than I had planned. The vehicle i got smelled like cigarette smoke that I especially noticed when I had to sit in traffic. I purchased an air freshener for the duration of my drive. There are signs posted at the counter warning of a $250 fine if vehicles have cigarette smoke residue. I wonder if that is enforced or an empty threat. I expressed my concern to the counter person. He pointed out that the person who passed me as I was entering the office was the owner, Eric, and that he details the vehicles most of the time. The rest of the staff are so busy they do not have time to answer the incoming calls. I responded to the customer service survey emailed to me with same as I post here. Because of the amazing work ethic of Eric who went above and beyond to help us out with our car rental for a very long move where we needed a car with a roof rack. Our trip ended up being a lot more roomy , comfortable and pretty much zen. Eric didn't have go above and beyond that day , it was very busy two days before Thanksgiving , but he did, and for that we were so thankful. The car was perfect for our trip, and returning it in Oregon was also hassle free and another kind person, so double props to Budget! read more

We reserved an SUV for camping, arrived to pick it up and was told there were no cars available, for us or the other eight people with reservations. The man who helped us was very apologetic and obviously frustrated by the situation he found himself in (he was not the owner). But we now we have a camping reservation and no vehicle that can hold our stuff. read more

Final charge was much more than expected. I was told by the lady working that turning the car in a day later would be $10 when it was actually listed as $31 (she did not point this out). Took me all day to reach the manager who told me he would only administer the agreement and wouldn't honor what his employee told me. My suggestion if you have to visit this location is be sure to read the agreement terms in detail before signing, and make sure what they're telling you is reflected on the agreement. Such a disappointment, we paid a month in advance for an intermediate SUV. At last minute Budget gave us a minivan to drive over the mountains in a snowstorm. they blamed us saying that we should have made our reservation a day before we did. We made our reservation a full month in advance and paid for it at that time. But because we didn't get it until the day before Thanksgiving it is our fault we didn't get what we paid for. A minivan does not have AWD. It has a longer wheelbase therefore making it not the best choice in the snow. That was why we rented an SUV. but because it was a busy holiday for them they felt it was okay to give us a minivan that one of their employees had been sleeping in it was dirty it had mud in it and my husband was forced to clean it before we could take it anywhere. We were given the runaround by corporate because this was clearly their fault. they told me that because it was considered an upgrade that there was nothing they could do. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! The only reason we even used this location was because of their pick up hours fitting our schedule. It started bad at the start with the rude lazy women and her smart ass comments when I was trying to sign the paperwork. Because she was to lazy to get off her butt and so a walk around with us prior to leaving. She wrote " minor dents" after we realized that was not the case and asked her to come out and check write down what is actually wrong more attitude continues. Fast forward 6 days later to the customer service returning the car...... we rush to be there at the time the rude women told us to worried this sketch place would charge a late fee even by minutes. Walk to to another unpleasant man. It's literally drop the car off here's the keys. Nope, he expected me to sit their "until his computer where back up and running".
