DO NOT RENT FROM HERE I rented a car and showed up for my pick up and it wasn't there. They extended it for someone else and never called me to tell me. I booked it weeks in advance and it was part of a whole weekend plan that was ruined because of this terrible service. Yes they did offer another car, but the car we booked was very specific and I searched for it for weeks before booking it here. PROS: Firstly, Joe from the Enterprise Tarrytown Road location has the best freaking customer service ever and this guy is just about the kindest person I ever met! CONS: Enterprise absolutely has some unsavory billing practices! 8/25: $594.13 which includes the $300.87 deposit because I used my debt card. Ok! 8/31: $295 withdrawal for 1 or 2 day extension. TOTAL COST: $588.26 9/01: $300.87 deposit released I use to do medical billing and its beyond my understanding as to why the deposit wasn't used for final payment or returned to my bank account instead of making multiple withdrawals?  There was so much activity on my bank account from Enterprise,  that my bank is investigating. Which is good and bad. In my mind if the rental deposit plus the rental fee total $594.13 which was more than enough to cover the total of $588.26.  Why so much activity on my bank account? 2 hasty withdrawals, tolls fees which my EZ pass covered and a slow ass deposit fee return. The way these payments were processed was just down right wrong! I see why everyone is flocking to Turo! Last weekend I got an emergency call from my wife who was driving on a double lane exit to BRP and got hit by another vehicle. After safely moving their cars out of the traffic, the other lady driver quickly blamed my wife and insisted that my wife hit her front left car. I ask my wife if she's okay and told too stay calm and instructed her to exchange license and insurance info with the lady, in which the latter was not cooperating. I told my wife to call 911 and after a good 1 hour the police came and instructed both drivers to exchange documents. I also instructed my wife to disconnect the power of the dashcam so it will not overwrite the data. That's right.. her car has a dashcam. A solid evidence and later Geico acknowledges that the other party was at fault. Pow! Win for us! *hugs and kisses the dashcam* And now here comes the part where I brought in the car to the shop for inspection early 8am on a Saturday morning! And you guess it right... the car rental is not there to be pick up because they open at 9am. Definitely not their fault but more of Geico for not checking the availability time of Enterprise. So, I went back home and waited 'til clock ticked at 9am and phoned local Enterprise. I told them the situation and that I will instead drop by to pick up the SUV. When I got there I was greeted by my new buddy Perry. Like a good friend, he was really helpful and listened to what vehicle my wife prefers to drive while her car is out. She don't like the big Explorer-size SUV but the functionality of a 4x4 and spacious enough to haul 2 kids and 2 adults. Perry got us the Grand Cherokee, which though a bit on a high-mile side (26,000) it is still good vehicle. The staffs were really good in meeting the need of the customers. Let me start by saying I rent cars about 20 to 30 times per year. Out of all my nationwide rentals, my experience at this enterprise was the absolute BEST! The cars they maintain on the lot make for worthwhile upgrades (reasonably priced). The customer service by "Ali" was top notch, if she isnt a manager, SHE SHOULD BE! My only complaint (because perfection is the goal never attained): The Audi Q7 I rented had not yet been cleaned, at first I thought it was just the exterior. Once I drove off though, I noticed donuts in cup holders, kids toys and trash throughout the vehicle, and a stench that stayed with me the whole day. In their defense, ALI offered to clean the vehicle before I left, but I declined because I did not have the time. I can tell this was likely an anomaly, because when I returned the vehicle ALI took it immediately to the cleaning area and began vacuuming. End State: When it is necessary for me to rent a vehicle in this area, I will be returning to this location and looking for ALI! read more

On the recommendation of a friend in the area, I came up from NYC to rent a car at this location. Yes, the rates were significantly lower than in the city for the same time period, it was an absolute pleasure renting a car from this location. Everyone on staff was genuinely interested in providing a comfortable, positive experience and many thanks to them for succeeding in that mission. From calling for information a few days prior, to being offered a free upgrade to thank me for my patience in being picked up late, to utilizing common sense in setting up the rental contract, to giving me a follow up call to let me know the final total and to say everything was OK, the staff at this location went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Returned my vehicle, while waiting for a drop off I must have dropped my wallet, or the attendant claimed I left it in the glove compartment, that's fine, but my money is missing. I recently rented a 12 person van. Very good experience. Everything from confirmation calls I made a few days before pickup, to a fast, pain-free pickup to a smooth drop off, this location was all about efficiency and professionalism. Miserable. Went on a snowy day - the girl told me 60$ for insurance and I asked for the whole time? I had no idea how loNg my car would take to repair so I'm surprised it was 60$ for insurance for the whole time but for a price like that - why not? I'd wanted to give a negative rating if there was such a scale. They do not even deserve a 1-star default rating! 3 months after a loaner arranged by my car dealer (on them), Enterprise charges my card for the loaner. Several numbers and pass-ons from one department to another including their Regional Manager, within a 2-month period, it is now 5 months later, I have not had a refund from them even as the Regional Manager assured my car dealer he would take care of the refund. This is pure unprofessionalism and dishonesty! Totally frustrating to have to follow up when it is their error. Totally shocking and pathetic to speak to different people from different departments who have no clue what to do other than rudely tell you "you are responsible for your rental", "we can't process a refund because we don't keep customers' card info".... despite a very clear explanation that it was my car dealer who was arranging this rental with no charge to me. Not even any customer service sense or initiative to do something right for the customer they have inconvenienced for their error!!! Add btw, the loaner was dirty with coffee stains on the cup holders among others. I am still waiting for my refund, money that should have never been taken from me for their stupid error. Do you like competent workers? Friendly service? Do you like convertibles? This place is for you! Rented a car for the weekend and Joe Marrone and his band of merry coworkers were everything you could want in a car rental service. Fair and reasonable, helpful, capable, confident, and happy to go above and beyond. Will definitely be back. Would like to be able to return a car after hours (but within my 24 hour rental period) without incurring a penalty. This is a really great Enterprise branch. Probably the best I've found in the NYC area. I think it's under new management because I've rented here a couple of times in past years and found the staff to be indifferent and unhelpful -- I went back over this New Year period because there was no way I would rent and drive out of NYC at such a crazy time of year. The staff and management were amazing! So helpful. They picked me up on time and were attentive and considerate and really made an effort to accommodate my needs with the vehicle. The woman who does pick ups, demonstrates the rental and signs off on paperwork is an especially good find. She explained aspects of my car's features I'd never known before! We rented a car to travel from NY to OH after thanksgiving. We made our reservation a week and a half/ two weeks in advance. The night before we picked up our reserved minivan, we received a confirmation phone call from enterprise. We confirmed a MINIVAN, and the time we would pick up. When we arrived they did not have our vehicle. the other vans were not returned on time. No apologies made, however we were rudely shuffled to another location to retrieve our necessary vehicle. At this location we received a dirty vehicle with a quarter tank of gas that was doused with a "freshener" so potent it triggered a migraine in one member of our family, made everyone's eyes water, and stung the nostrils. We tried to suck it up. An hour into the trip, we were all sick from the fumes. We had to drive back to switch vehicles. Again, no apology for the inconvenience. However, they did make us feel like we were in the way since we had to switch our belongings form one van to another. We're on the road & can all breathe. But just to note, Still had to fill the tank (again) and found the remnants of a meal. read more

Terrible Experience. I rented a 12 Passenger Van online at the Enterprise website. I was given an email confirmation of the rental and a pick up time. When I arrived at the facility, I was told that they had no record of my reservation even though I handed them a confirmation. In addition I was told they had no 12 passenger Vans available. I was stranded on White plains with 10 people and no vehicle. So Enterprise gave me a Kia Sedona minivan that smelt like spoiled milk inside and desperately needed an alignment. I rented a car to drive up to Niagara Falls and a cargo truck to go to Albany on two separate occasions during the month of July. Very prompt service, over the phone and in person. I will always come here if I need to rent, because it's very close to home and everything else near downtown White Plains. The enterprise location on Tarrytown road in white plains new york has the works most provocative manager named Savana, we have ever come in the contact with. In the past 6 months, we have left several messages with the administration asking for a response about the unprofessional way she conducts herself, but we have never received a response. We had a reservation for a regular SUV but when we promptly came to the location we were told there was no SUV, and we had to accept a mini van. This was done in a nasty, abusive manner as if it was our fault our order was not at the location. Savana, then attempted to take keys out of my hand, when I asked her if she would call another location. She refused to call another location. At one point we were going to call the police because she looked as though she was going to attack us. This was the manager at that location. Don't go there its a horrible unorganized location. Many thanks for the help and great service I received from Byron when I was in a difficult situation trying to get a car at the airport. A different company I had reservations with decided to close early with new COVID hours and I wasn't notified so after taking the metro north from the city then waiting a long time to get an uber to the airport, it was horrible to find out I may be stuck there without a car until Byron informed me that he could likely help as soon as he finished taking care of his customers with existing reservations. Once it was my turn, they efficiently provided me with the best option available and Logan the manager helped me to convey the situation to my 3rd party booking agent that didn't notify me of the change in hours to the original booking. Worst car rental experince ever and -as I found out by now- a classic Enterprise Rent-A-Car scam beyond belief! Will never ever rent from Enterprise or any of their associated businesses again, and would recommend you do the same. A while back my own car broke down & had to be taken to a repair shop. I had no choice but to rent a car from Enterprise. Last car on the lot -or so I was told- was a pickup truck. Not a car I would have ever decided to rent, wasn't it for my young son and wife who were with me at the time and had to get back home, after our 3hr wait for a AAA tow truck & time spent at a repair shop. To make a long story short: upon check-out, the rental car was being inspected hastily at night in the badly lit Enterprise parking lot, and I agreed to not having noticed any damage to the car, based on good past rental experiences with other companies. Yes, my mistake to trust the slick sales person who rushed through this process. Had to keep the car for over a week, and much to my surprise, upon returning it I was confronted with claims that I must have been in an accident & had caused damage to the car, including a light dent on top of the roof. The roof of the driver cabin had not even been part of the very sloppy check-out inspection.... A false claim and horrible rental experience that cost me a few hundred additional $$$. Enterprise Rent-A-Car showed no interest in trying to resolve this issue, other than insisting that I was at fault. Interestingly, the sales associate who had processed the rental agreement & handled the car inspection, could no longer be talked to, since he had 'moved locations'. Enterprise Rent-A-Car was unwilling to cooperate and refused to release any valid previous rental records of the car. A few months later I once again needed to rent a car for a few days while travelling. I was adviced not to rent from Enterprise (which I wouldn't have done anyway). Turns out I was not the only one who fell prey to their SCAM... Stay away from them as far as you can. read more

We rented a minvan to move my daughter into college, here is the good and the bad of our experience. The van was originally rented from another location; this one was more convenient to return the car to. The van was in great shape and we were very pleased with our experience until the return process. My son was on crutches at the time and literally wasn't allowed to put any weight on the leg that was recovering so we had a handicapped plaque for him. After returning the car, we realized an hour later while at JFK that the plaque was left in the car. We immediately called and even offered to give them our FedEx account number so they could quickly ship it back to us. We were told not to worry and that they would put it in the mail right away. WE WAITED 2 WEEKS FOR THE HANDICAP PLAQUE TO BE RETURNED, and finally had to apply for another one! Keep in mind that this meant that my son would have to park in regular spots where ever we went and "crutch" to get where he was going. In that time we made several phone calls and were flat out lied to about when the letter was mailed, proof was the postage mark when the letter FINALLY arrive 2 weeks later. This sort of customer service is not acceptable, especially since we had even offered to pay for the return of the plaque. read more

Based on one rental. Rates are good. Service tops. Car was not 2014 and missing a headrest! The ¼ tank policy is clever as I filled tank and returned it half filled. Not crazy about 1:00 pm closing on weekends. Renter pickup and dropoff is biggest and best marketing advantage--reason I rent with them. read more
