We went with entertainment express through our venue Padua Hills. Our experience was the best! Not only are they the DJs, MCs and all around party starters but they were also our wedding coordinator, keeping everything going smoothly and on time. I had nothing to worry about the whole day, I was running extremely late for the ceremony and not only did they accommodate my tardiness but they fixed the schedule of events and figured out how to organize my time to fit in all the activities we wanted to do. They even practiced the names and went over pronunciation with us at our planning meetings to be sure every name announced was phonetically correct. My guests commented that the dance floor looked like a Vegas club, there was a light show on the walls glow sticks thrown into the air and fog machine on full blast! The ambiance was amazing. I got married in May 2017 at Padua Hills and was required to use their in-house DJ's. These DJ's know their sound system really well, so it makes sense. However, I was REALLY hesitant because I am SUPER PICKY about my DJ'S!! A bad DJ can kill a party for me! And when I envisioned my wedding day, great music was a MUST! A bad DJ is one of my biggest pet peeves and I wasn't about to let my wedding go down like that! BUT, BUT BUT, Entertainment Express are PROFESSIONALS! They listen to what you want and they OVER DELIVER!!! Did you hear me?? OVER DELLLIVVVERRRR!!! I first met Brett and he was very nice, friendly and very professional. You can tell right away that he knows what he's doing and that he's really good at his craft!! He did a demo for me in the reception hall with the music as well as the lighting and walked me though the lighting and music for the reception and cocktail hours and I knew immediately that I was in GOOD AND CAPABLE HANDS!! I had picked out my own ceremony music and needed one song on a loop, which he helped me to configure and it was perfect!!! He sat there with me until it was exactly the way I envisioned it. We did it all there at his office and by the time the meeting was over, both my husband and I were even MORE excited for our wedding day because we knew it was going to be AWESOME thanks to Entertainment Express and Padua Hills! Entertainment Express are not only your DJ's, but they also MC for the entire day and are always close by ensuring the flow of the wedding so that you stay on schedule for everything! They also were there to send off my wedding party down the aisle as the ceremony started because the music was timed to my entrance and needed to be exact. They let people know when it's time to be seated for the ceremony, to turn their cellphones off, etc. They do EVERYTHING! They ARE REALLY GOOD AT KEEPING THINGS MOVING DURING PARTY TIME!! They orchestrate and announce wedding dances, bouquet tosses, first dances, cake cutting, EVERYTHING to PRECISION!! I wanted to keep things short and sweet and done in a timely manner so that there was still adequate dancing time left after!! They did a really good job of fading the music in and out at the right time so that it was classy, professional and not choppy!! Another thing that gets me at weddings is when there is too much quiet time and things do not flow. Entertainment Express ensures that this NEVER HAPPENS! They know exactly when to cut things short!! As soon as the Best Man finished his speech, Brett was RIGHT THERE to welcome the next speaker. HE WAS ON TOP OF HIS GAME!! My husband and I were both SO IMPRESSED AND BLOWN AWAY at how good Brett and Entertainment Express are at their jobs!! My husband ended up tipping them more than he had planned because THEY WERE SO GOOD and they deserved it! Once the ceremony was over and it was time for photos, Brett was right there with our champagne or whatever drinks we wanted!!! He is from God!!!! Really!! No detail gets left behind when Brett is around! Since we got married a little later in life, I was thinking that we wouldn't do the bouquet or garter toss since we are practically the last ones to get married and that there would be a VERY SMALL amount of singles at our wedding. But Brett suggested that we do them anyway! He was able to announce it something like "Now it's time for the bouquet toss, but the bride is requesting that ALL women assemble on the dancefloor"...but he did it much more eloquently and I swear it was SOO GREAT to see everyone out there, young and old, single and married!! We were not expecting that many people to participate! But that is all part of Brett's magic!! My husband and I had our songs planned for the reception party and we gave them that list in advance. They did explain that they might have to throw in some "party starting" songs if the songs on our list were not getting people on the dance floor. The songs they picked were of the same genre or very close that when our songs played, the transition was seamless!! They also find out what music you like and which to stay away from. They also ask you who is NOT allowed to speak at your reception, which is VERY important!! They are always Team Bride/Groom so if anyone comes up to them for requests for anything, Brett and his team always check with YOU FIRST!! They are ON TOP OF EVERYTHING!!! And he speaks so kindly and diplomatically and knows the appropriate way of not letting UNauthorized people commandeer the microphone so that feelings aren't hurt! Entertainment Express is in a word, AMAZING. They have what they do down to a science; and they are simply the best!! Everyone is so professional and helpful to work with - GREAT customer service and wonderful communication. My husband and I worked with Entertainment Express for our wedding at Padua Hills in October. We loved that their set was built into the dancing portion of the ballroom; lights and bubble machine included! It was amazing not having to see speakers or cords/tape on the floor!! We walked into our "Planning Meeting" not 100% sure on some of our music choices; Bret (our MC - and just the best!) played samples of music and made some AWESOME recommendations for songs. We ended up walking out of that meeting 110% sure of our choices and SO excited for our wedding! The only somewhat of a disappointment I had was that there weren't many songs played during our "open dancing" time at the reception. To clarify, there was always music going, however it was just about the full length of one song. I would have liked to hear more songs overall. But, I think that if you speak with them about this before hand, they will do everything they can to make sure you get what you want, because they are that good with customer service! Our wedding day went so smooth thanks to this crew. They are so much more than just DJs! They keep your wedding according to schedule while you enjoy yourself and check in with you to let you know what's next. They prioritize you on your day. Evan from Entertainment Express even exchanged my heels for my slippers for me so I could keep going. The details they are able to provide with lighting, props, speakers, and music fading is unreal. We all never wanted the party to end- so much so that when the music stopped my nephew was distraught because he wanted to keep dancing to the DJ. These guys are good at deceiving you!!! They promise to do all these great things and it's a big let down. They are over priced and not worth it! They did our wedding on Febuary 10,2013. During the ceremony portion the microphones went out and they did nothing to rectify the problem. Which meant my videography went to hell, we should have wore their mics. The reception was to have bubbles during the first dance so the dj stood next to us holding a bubble machine ridiculous! They failed to play the right music during grand entrances and so on and so on. The dj could blend a song to save his life. My husband and I just got married at Padua Hills about three weeks ago, and Entertainment Express was probably the best part of our experience! They were super friendly, professional, and very easy to work with. They even kept up with all of my crazy last-minute changes, and did it all with a smile. Plus all of the special features they use on the dance floor (bubbles, fog machine, laser lighting, etc) were an added bonus! Everyone loves a great dance floor, and these guys definitely deliver! Evan was our MC and he was just absolutely amazing as well. During our initial planning meeting, he was very patient with us, and helped us to pick out ceremony music when we were severely struggling with what we wanted. It really took the pressure off of us, which was so nice. He was also able to shed a lot of light on their style of DJ-ing, so we could rest assured that they wouldn't be playing any songs we didn't like. They also were great at not letting things drag on too long. I've been to weddings before where there are giant lulls in the activities or there are awkward pauses while you're waiting for something like the bouquet toss, but not with these guys! They are truly professionals, and their experience definitely shows. Overall, they just made us feel very comfortable, which is no easy task, considering I'm usually a giant ball of stress. But they were honestly the easiest/best vendor we dealt with during the course our wedding planning, and the most fun! I don't think I can recommend them highly enough! When booking your wedding at Padua Hills Theatre you really don't have any other option but to use the onsite vender for entertainment (Entertainment Express). I only say this because if you want the proper lighting and audio for you wedding then these are the guys you want for your wedding. In my opinion they were a bit pricey, especially because we were thinking of using one of our friends to DJ/MC, but you really get what you pay for with them. They are able to provided their services throughout (and before) the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They had the timing and schedule down to the T. I could definitely tell they had the experience required for this venue especially when I saw them working together with Chantrelle's Catering. Brett, the DJ/MC for our wedding, made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They basically executed as we had originally planned and left us worry free. They told us where to be and when to be there, brought us refreshments right after the ceremony and made announcements when needed. Brett was very professional and actually surprised me when I saw him dressed up in a tuxedo. He was one of the main factors in having a successful and smooth wedding. If I were to say anything anything negative about them, I'd have to say the reception dragged a little and people were getting a little restless. I think we were also at fault because of the picture taking and visiting guests at their table. Personally I thought it wasn't too bad but then again I didn't have to work the next day unlike a majority of our guests. These guys were very easy to work with. We met around 3 times to plan for the event and they were available Saturday mornings (our preference). They basically met all our needs as far as the music we wanted played at any point during the wedding. They even accomodated last minute changes the day of the wedding. EE did an amazing job at creating a detailed homework/timeline for me and my fiancee Hannah (now, wife) prior to the wedding. Everything is thought out, including plan Bs in case of delays, etc. Everyone at the office were helpful and had a sense of humor. After our last meeting with Brett, my fiancee and I were pretty confident right before the wedding. We had an outdoor, July wedding in Laguna Beach where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception area were all a good distance away from each other. Brett was there the whole way through, coordinating with our wedding planner providing portable mics. During the reception, we requested buzzards for our trivia game with Brett announcing each questions, and a slideshow as the sun started to set. We sent EE a list of our favorite EDM mp3s before the wedding (from chillstep to trap to deep house) and our DJ Scott transitioned them smoothly during the dance hour. Brett surprised us with a few dozens of large glowsticks too during the dance, which added to the vibe. Needless to say, the EE team did everything they're supposed to and more, and we're very happy. From our first interaction with EE, they had showed us that they had every aspect of our wedding covered and took all the stress of planning off of our hands. My only comment (not a problem of theirs at all) was that our dance time couldn't last long enough with all the normal speeches, dances, etc that have to happen.
