This is our new go to spot for pupusas! The revueltas are my favorite but we've tried the cheese and frijol con queso (beans and cheese) and they are equally delicious. Their curtido and salsas are also so good! We also tried their pork tamales for the first time and we will definitely be getting them again! I have walked by this place multiple times when getting my coffee. One day I looked inside and saw a breakfast plate. It looked really good. I came back for lunch. I had a mole tamale, and Chicharron pupusas. Both were delicious. They have a large menu, I can't wait to try more things. The staff is very friendly. It's hard to find a cheap delicious meal practically anywhere in San Jose, and in this neighborhood especially. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves up yummy pupusas (including frijoles, frijoles + queso, or revuelta) that are super fresh at $4/each, and topped with their tangy curtido (picked cabbage slaw) and salsa, you've basically got a whole balanced lunch for less than $10. On their menu they also have a giant taco made out of a pupusa base (hence "pupusa taco mix" I think) for a higher price, but I prefer to stick with the classics. Love supporting this small business that is open literally almost all day til 10. Cashier is very nice. Give them a try. read more

Not the best pupusas, but also not terrible, the filling was good but the pupusas itself was just not good or authentically made. Where's the cheese oozing out, the greasiness, the stuffiness. The casamiento was alright, it was on the dry side and lacked flavor, and the chicken sandwhich was also not my favorite. The pupusa taco mix was not bad, the carne asada gave it a boost of flavor along with the rest of the stuff that came with it. I give them props for adding a little Mexican twist to the pupusas, but the pupusas itself were not my favorite, I've had way better. read more

I've seen this place a few times I've driven by. I ordered the bean and cheese pupusa, bean/cheese and pork pupusa and some other item that tasted like a fried potato. Anyway the pupusas were pretty good and the slaw added that vinegar taste it needed. Their salsa was alright, it had flavor, I just wish it was spicy. Overall the food was solid and I'd return again. The staff was friendly and there were others seated inside holding conversations while eating their meals. They have a decent variety of drinks available and music being played at a decent volume. Not a fan. The pastelitos were small and not worth the price. The filling lacked seasoning and was overall underwhelming. The yuca fries seemed undercooked and may not have been boiled first. The oil used for the fried food clearly needs to be changed -- you can taste the stale, heavy flavor and lingering aftertaste, which really affected the overall experience. I wouldn't recommend it. Service was also disappointing. The interaction at the register felt unfriendly, though the woman who handed me the food was nice. I didn't feel particularly welcome. When I customized my burrito, I was asked multiple times if I was sure about my choices -- which felt unnecessary. The space itself is very small -- four tables seating four each, but the layout feels tight and cramped. read more

The restaurant was small but cozy. The employee treated me, I think the employee expected me to pick something up. I sat at a table looking at the menu. I read enough Spanish to read the menu when the employee asked what I would like to order. Asking for a pupusa plate she pointed to a portion of the menu with Pupusas. I ordered a couple getting to pupusas but not a plate like expected. Just the pupusas with the cabbage on the side. The two salsas she gave me were not spicy enough for me. She got me a third salsa she said was spicy. It had a tingle, not much kick, but it tasted good. The pupusa was good, Soft, fresh, flavorful. After finishing the snack I ordered the pupusa taco, which was what I originally wanted. Delicious! Which the outer portion of the pupusa had more crisp but still great! I've seen this place every day only way to work, and tonight was the night. We ordered a taco of carnitas, and the taste was amazing. I knee, everything was gonna be tasty. We have been to stumble across this going to my daughter's soccer game. And my sister drop up from SoCal so we thought after the game we would grab it on our way back home (Milpitas). I decided to get a few items since it was my first time and I was indecisive and I am so glad I did! I ordered. Carnitas Burrito, 2 Bean and Cheese Pupusas, a Carne Asada Pupusa Taco, and the Pastalitos. I'm gonna start off by saying that Pupusa taco was PHENOMENAL!!!! I ordered the food to take home, but decided to try the Pupusa Taco in the parking lot before leaving and it took every bit of my self control to not go inside to get a few more before bringing the food home, but figured my husband would want warm food. lol All of the food was GREAT! I actually like about 50 minutes away, but my school is about 15 minutes from this location and I will come back and make the 50 minute drive for this food! The service was also excellent. Was excited to check out this place only to not be impressed. The place was small but clean. The person who took my order was at first cordial. I had asked how long the pupusas were going to take because I was in a rush, I was told 12 mins. Someone came in to deliver to the business but it turned out into a full on chat fest w the staff and my pupusas took longer. Fine ok. When I finally got my pupusas I kindly asked for more salsa and another set of utensils and I was given an attitude. I was even more disappointed when I opened my container and the pupusa was the most smallest pupusa I've ever seen. It also tasted more like masa and less like cheese.
