Some things are better than others. I wouldnt get excited about the pasta. We ordered the pasta with clams and the pasta with shrimp, (server told us pasta is merely a suggestion on the menu) and pushed for other items which was off putting. The pasta it's basically just butter slapped on Angel hair with a few clams and the pasta with shrimp is nothing to write home about. Both lack depth. On a positive note, the Pescado a La talla (fish that's cut in half) and the aguachiles are very good. I recommend sticking to seafood. The last thing was the service, while very attentive our service was a bit pushy in terms of a tip and what we ordered. We asked for certain dishes and he brought us another at his own preference and we sent it back as it wasn't what we ordered. There's no excuse, we speak Spanish (native Venezuelans) so nothing lost in translation either. In regards to the tip, I left 15 percent and he asked for more while swiping my card. Wow! Out of all the restaurants we tried in MX City this was by far the favorite! Service was beyond 5 stars, all the seafood was so fresh and best ceviche I've had ever! It was a table of 6 of us, we all ordered a plate but also wanted to try their specialty Pescado a la Talla with 2 different sauces, so we got that to share. What stood out of all of our food was the Trucha tostadas, the ceviche and the shrimp & scallop aguachile and of course the grilled fish with both sauces. For dessert we had the tarta de higo and merengue con fresas. Both were very good but definitely try the merengue con fresas- a great indulgence. Honestly I wish we would've tried this place earlier in our trip so we could've gone back, it was that good!! read more

Pros: the terrace overlooks the park and has overall good ambiance. Very attentive service. The tostadas de atun and bocadillos atun were absolutely EXCELLENT. Cons: the rest of the food we got was just okay including the grilled octopus and the butterflied fish. Both were lacking in flavor and needed to be marinated or needed a thicker sauce to accompany the dishes and provide that flavor you would expect. We had other better meals in Mexico City. One of the best seafood restaurants in the area. They have a little deck so make reservations because the whole place is small. They have another part which is the smoking area restaurant. Seafood tacos are available as well as black rice among others! But please try their merenge cake with strawberries. It's my favorite!! We also ordered a blue drink with raisins. It's delicious as well as a "Carajillo" (coffee with liquor 43). Service was super attentive as well as the manager who comes every while to check upon the tables. One of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The best service, and the food is all extraordinary. Ask for the special salsa with habanero. Been coming here since they open the place. Heres what I usually order with a bunch of friends: Tiritas zihuatanejo, aguachile de camaron o de callo, almejas, tacos de pescado al pastor, esmedregal al pastor, chemita de atun, puntas de atun adobadas, tostadas de atun, softshell crab, esmedregal with salsa verde and verdolagas, sopes de pescado, caldo de camaron. Even with our broken Spanish, the waiters were able to deliver on food recommendations on dessert and drinks (we order flan and aroma mezcal). Entremar is a lunch spot ( closes at 7 pm) that serves dinner portions. We were back in Polanco in the mid afternoon after spending the morning visiting the Frieda Kahlo museum earlier in the day. The food at Entremar was delicious. Service was attentive. The waitstaff hassled to make sure our food arrived at the table hit and fresh. My wife and I shared the spicy shrimp broth (very rich shrimp flavor - delicious), the grilled fish with both a chili adobo rub on one side and chopped parsley on the other half (wow!) and the shrimp taco with adobo sauce - good with an identical sauce to half of the grilled fish. The food was served with generous number of hand patted corn tortillas. Entremar is an excellent seafood lunch place. I would highly recommend Entremar to anyone traveling to the Polanco district of Mexico City. read more

Wow oh wow oh wow! This is my absolute best dining experience all over the world, JAYSUS! And I've been to Spain and my momma's house. Just shhh don't tell her. We arrived close closing but every one was very cool and our waiter, wow. So frickin attentive and just at the right moments, not over bearing. The food. Oh man. Please. Just fly me back to Roma so I can have their seafood tacos and ceviche and perfectly cooked shrimp. But you know what was the best thing of all? The Nutella Flan. You heard that right. Nutella and Flan in the same sentence so much so that I had to capitalize Nutell and Flan, you see, there I did it again. I effin love desserts and try it at every restaurant I go to. Not only was this the best meal I have had in a restaurant but the best dessert I have placed into my mouth in all my 29 years of living. I actually googled the recipe...and I hate cooking. I was really looking forward to this dinner. I did some research on where to find a delicious meal in Mexico City, every other meal we had was better than this one. I had heard so much about Gabriella Camara and I was looking forward to her menu. Her restaurant Contramar was booked and they suggested their "little brother" restaurant that had the same menu. They told me that it had been recently remodeled, and had just re-opened the day before. When we arrived, we entered a room that was a blank slate completely white everywhere. Hardly any decor nothing on the tables no flowers, no plates it was a very sterile atmosphere. We went upstairs and sat at a table overlooked a beautiful park. I think that was the best part of the whole dinner. We ordered several appetizers to split. I enjoyed the tuna croquettes the rest of the table not so much, the tuna Carnitas was just dried overcooked tuna, a large portion though with a tiny bit of guacamole and onions.. The fish empanadas had a funny taste and two of our party didn't even finish theirs. My father and I split the whole huichenango/red snapper grilled with green and red sauce. And that's what we got. There was no garnish, there was no color. A small dish of black beans, It was a grilled fish on a plate. And it was overcooked. I have had this fish grilled whole at least 10 times at other restaurants in Mexico, and every other one was better than this one, including at a little seaside restaurant with plastic tables and chairs for 1/4 of the price. As a matter of fact, that one was way better. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. I will say the service was exceptional and very attentive. My Dad enjoyed his vanilla ice cream for dessert. My chocolate cake was crumbly. So many restaurants to choose from and I won't be returning to this one. read more

We came here based on the rave reviews, and had a fine meal but I wouldn't return - food was underwhelming, there was no ambiance, wait staff were way too demanding, and there's just better food and experiences to be had in Mexico City. We had a reservation and were promptly seated, overlooking the park, so seemed to be off to a good start. The restaurant is otherwise completely sterile, lacking any charm or atmosphere. The biggest entertainment was watching the valet guys outside, and watching dogs in the park. Menus are QR-only, which is maybe not the smartest move when the restaurant is 90% tourists who may not have local data, and when your Wi-Fi is a pain to get onto. Multiple waiters came over within 40 seconds of sitting down for drink orders. When I requested more time (had still not even opened the menu let alone navigated over to the cocktail list) they continued to send different staff over immediately after to continue to ask, so we sent them away as well. Let people breathe?? The menu is MASSIVE and takes ages to read, so I'm not sure what the rush is. We ordered a few small plates to share. The sopes were more like tacos than sopes. Everything was cooked and seasoned fine but just wasn't special or at all memorable. We had superb seafood at other restaurants only days before, with much friendlier waiters and in nicer settings. If you feel the need to check this off your list then go for it, but there are much better meals to be had elsewhere. read more

Weeks after our visit to Entremar, I still think about our meal and wish it were easier to return! The virtues of the tuna tostadas have been well-documented and I couldn't agree more. But we also enjoyed the ceviche -- which is much more delicate and tender than I've ever had (including in Peru) -- and fish albondigas. Combine great food with welcoming, gracious, and attentive service and a lovely view of the park, and you've got a winner. read more
