Because the kitchen is open to the dining area, I watched the cook handling raw chicken with a gloved hand while putting the chicken kabobs on the grill. He then continued using that same glove to assemble orders, touching pita and putting his hand into the lettuce. At no point did I see him change his glove. I continued watching because I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then I watched him put a raw piece of salmon on the grill and continue handling cooked food with the same glove. At that point, I went to the register and explained what I had witnessed. The cashier's response was, "Of course!" and she immediately yelled to the cook to change his glove. I calmly explained that the lettuce had potentially been contaminated through the repeated handling of raw chicken and salmon and should not continue to be served. We ended up throwing approximately half of our dinner away because we were no longer comfortable eating it. I was not looking to make a scene, and I wasn't even planning to write a review. But I feel obligated to share this because the cashier's reaction made me concerned that this may not have been an isolated or unexpected issue. I sincerely hope management addresses this with the kitchen staff and reviews proper food-handling procedures. Unfortunately, after today's experience, we will not be returning.

I ordered blueberry, my mom ordered strawberry. 20 minutes later I get my blueberry crepes (as pictured) and the waiter hands my mom a plate of a crepe with blueberry and banana -- He said the chef is out of strawberries and wondered if "that was okay" -- NO, NOT OKAY! Why the hell would you 1) Not tell her what the chef told you and ask if she would like anything else, 2) Assume she would be okay with whatever the hell you brought out to her?? She proceeded just to get the blueberry "crepe" -- 10 minutes she had her crepe. By the way, there's a BIG difference between actual crepe batter and pancake batter -- just because you thin it out doesn't mean it becomes a crepe. We tried a little bit of it. It was not good -- At all. We both refused to finish the food because it was just .. Bad. The waiter comes back - I think his name was Metro? Started with a "M" - and asks is we want a box, I said, "No we're finished." Our plates were clearly still full. He never asked or checked up on us while we were eating, never asked if everything was okay with the food, and he swiftly took our plates away and brought the check per our request. Soo many service errors and for the prices, you guys need to step up your requirements especially if you expect to charge people for a premium. The quality you expect is NOT the quality you guys are giving out. ZERO stars if that was possible.

I really enjoyed the pancakes and the veggie burger Caesar salad wrap. Fries were good, and the omelets came with potatas bravas, ie individually fried. The macaroni salad was not a good idea. Some minor cons: -They have tons of outdoor tables, but no umbrellas for people that want shade -The menu did not have updated pricing -Tip is included and they asked us to pay with cash -The food lacked creativity. Maybe they want to keep the menu short to clear tables faster, but they should look to brunch places in Asbury for more inspiration (ie fake bacon, fresh herbs, non alcoholic drinks, etc)
