Called a few places this morning to see if there's availability for me to get a smog today. I noticed a lot of the places we're not just smog only stations. I prefer smog only locations. Found Enviro smog via yelp, called and was told to come on down. I arrived. Pull into the driveway and head to the back. Oh i see it, its where so many people are standing around waiting for their car or cars turn to be violated by the smog machine. I hate getting a smog. I despise the fact that we are working my motor like that lol Anywhos, you have to be prepared before you go into the office to let them know , youre here for a smog. 1. Bring in your registration renewal. 2. Have your DL available to be swiped 3. Jot down your exact mileage 4. Leave your key with them Covid time 5. Wear your mask So, I executed all 5 of those. You can wait outside , on one of their chairs or just get back in your car and wait until they are ready for you. I sat in the car. Its been about 5 minutes and I think Im next. Its my turn. A technician comes to the driver's side of my vehicle with my key and I realize , I gotta get out. Now Im sitting in one of their chairs in between 2 other customers and we are all social distancing due to chair placement. ( just wanted to throw that in ) lol Oh sheesh, they just called my name. Im done. I passed. But ...its only been 10 minutes. Wow hella fast. $50 bucks out the door. Check in offer, $2 off. $48 smog, really? Ive never experienced this before. Ok Stockton

I have an older Acura TL and my friend recommended this place since his older car had passed through there before. He called me at 5 to remind me to take my car in and I didn't think I would have time to make it there since the nice lady on the phone said they close at 5:30. After rushing over there with just under ten minutes to spare, they took my car in, I smoked a cigarette and walked next door to the sign shop after I noticed they tint car windows. I made an appointment to have my windows tinted the next day, walked back to Enviro Smog and found out that my car had passed with flying colors. This place is awesome, easy to find, great and fast service and the price to get smogged is unbelievably inexpensive. They have exceeded my expectations and more and they will have a lot more business coming their way if they keep it up. Thank you Enviro Smog! read more

Needed to smog my car for registration, I called about their deal in penny savers booklet and they explained everything to me clearly how it works. Got my car smogged for 31.00 flat including certificate transfer to dmv and 1 free retest if failed. Service was great! There was like 6 people ahead of me and they got my car on the smog station in about 20 minutes. Just look for deals in penny savers and bring it in to get the deal. read more

i've never done a smog check before this, so i'm just going to base this review on first impressions. This place was pretty easy to find (it's in the middle of a bunch of auto-service businesses but the signs were easy to follow). Upon arrival, i was greeted courteously by the technician, asked to fill out approximately 10 seconds of paperwork, hand over my keys, and notified that my car would be ready in about 20 minutes! i was surprised because my dad told me it would be about an hour! maybe better technology these days? i waited in the cozy office/waiting area, read a magazine and before i knew it my smog check was done. it ended up costing me $30 and an electronic copy of my results was already sent to the DMV. overall: courteous, fast service, hassle-free! read more

This place is very helpful. They transferred by results directly to DMV. The price was $40.00. I was very pleased with their service. They had TV while you wait. The test took about 12 minutes. This is the best place to take your car for a smog check in the San Joaquin valley. My wife had our other car smog checked and it cost $80.00! I will take all of our family cars to this place, and they are very friendly. read more

I had the smog test done on my 79 trans am after 3 other shops couldn't do it because of equipment failure / it passed with fly'n colors / the shop is very clean and the staff are top notch , the waiting area is clean and comfortable / I recommend this establishment for your smog testing read more

My second time at this place. Could it be as good as the first time? I was greeted by a burly technician that didn't crack a smile and mumbled when he spoke. I used the $10 coupon and paid $40 for the entire experience. Can't beat that. I was done within 10 minutes. The mumbling technician was actually courteous. I wouldn't tip him if he worked in a restaurant. Also, Saturday mornings seem to be the best time to do smog checks. The place was more or less empty this morning. read more

The front desk lady was super disrespectful to other customers. She told these 2 Latino males "I know you can speak English, don't act like you can't understand" I probably would never come here again. After she made that comment I felt very uncomfortable. I hate leaving bad reviews but I felt like this lady disrespected my people. She needs to learn better customer service. read more

I've used this place twice in the past couple of years and I have no complaints. Got a coupon out of the local Pennysaver (link to online coupon - http://tiny.cc/ggpjw) for $30 out the door. The tech's name is Phi. He'll answer any smog related questions you have and does his thing very quickly. In and out in less than 15 minutes with my smog certificate and ready to head down to my local AAA to get new reg tags. Great service. read more

The lady up front was very customer oriented. This place does smogs quicker then the other places I've been to. Your like in and out in about 10-20 mins, although I didn't pass the first time due to a failed visual aftermarket fpr I was able to get my stock part on the next day and got my free re-test and I got the green light on everything. I paid and was on my way out. Both times were quick. This is my new place to go to. read more

FANTASTIC!!!! Miguel was very patient. I work for a company that uses a "network" to pay for everything we need done to our vehicles. This shop wasn't set up with them yet. But Miguel was kind enough to take the time to get payment from them, even though it took an extra half hour to do it and started to form a line of customers. Enviro Smog started when our founder went to get a smog in Stockton and felt ripped off after going to multiple smog stations with low priced ads, only to be charged 3 to 4 times higher than the advertised price. He opened with a simple plan. Honest pricing, honest results, and great service. Today Enviro Smog has grown to be the number one smog station in the San Joaquin Valley using that simple philosophy.

We did not make an appointment but dropped our car off; the waiting room was almost packed. We ran errands and returned in about half an hour and our "testing" was almost complete. We used a coupon from the All Pro Smog website and paid an amazingly low price for the test and certificate. The shop sends electronic notice of your Temporary certificate to DMV; the temporary certificate is valid for 90 days. They are professional, experienced, efficient, and very easy to work with. We will be returning when our next family vehicle's "Smog Check" is due. They also sell tires, a handsome vast array of wheels, and they do repairs. They also do Mobile Clean Truck Check inspection service: "we come to you! Call: (209) 478-7664." Nice cleaning waiting room with lots of seating and a large TV. I do not work at this business but was happy to read others' reviews today and became a new customer.

They understandably assumed I wanted a full diagnosis because of the different issues described rather than just a quote for the valve body repair. And to be honest, that's what the process should be like. Because what if I am wrong about the prognosis, ya know? After dropping off my car, I later received a call letting me know they don't work on transmission-valve body replacements and was charged for the diagnostic, along with a recommendation to another shop. At the time, it felt like I paid for a referral, which didn't sit right with me. Recently, I came back to discuss this with the owner, Richard. We had a great conversation and agreed it was simply a misunderstanding during a very busy day. Keep in mind that Richard is also not the person who took my car in. I am sure if he was there when I first walked in, he would have recommended me elsewhere. But what stood out to me was Richard's professionalism and integrity. You have no idea how easily he could have said "no" to my visit today because at the end of the day I signed off on the paperwork prior to handing off the keys. But instead, he took the time to hear me out and make things right--not because of the money, but because he truly cares about the customer. That kind of passion and commitment is rare in the industry, and it's clear he's one of the only ones to have maintained it for however long he's been in the business, respectfully. That said, the shop itself is spacious and welcoming, not cramped like some places that make you feel rushed. Plus, the location is great--lots of nearby stores and even a gym if you want to kill time while waiting. If you're looking for a place that values honesty and customer care, this is it. Five stars to Richard, his establishment, and the team. And if you made it this far, it's only fair that you pay them a visit :)

This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. Got down to the joint and was talking to Larry and his desk guy about my 02' Camry-you see it's at 100K and hasn't had any service to date. Larry gave me some valuable information as I waited to pay the hubs bill. Seems Toyota's have this thing called a timing belt. At 100K you absolutely need to check it....I did not know! (looks like mfg recommends checking it every 60K-wow, I've dodged the bullet) So, any warning the belt's going bye bye-No, no warning and the car will just STOP RUNNING- What? This was one of the few times that I had used Yelp's project feature to find a mechanic. Robles's auto repair was the quickest to reply and also ended up having one of the most competitive prices. Using the project feature of Yelp allowed me to stay in constant communication with Gabriel. I was kept abreast of the repairs on my vehicle and they even stuck around a little after hours to make sure I could get my car after the repairs were done. That Stockton traffic can be a doozy. The issue with my vehicle was a leak in the radiator that Mercedes said would cost $2400 to repair at the dealership, but with Robles's auto repair, I was able to do it for under $800. The parts in general are not what's expensive just my model and Mercedes has a lot of pieces that have to be removed to get access to the radiator. Now my car is running great and I should be good for a long time. Smog checks are supposed to be a biennial thing. But if you have business vehicles, a few family cars, sell your own cars, and purchase cars from out state, you end up needing this service pretty often. In my case about 10 times in the last three years. I don't remember why I came initially, maybe it was their reviews, a coupon, or I asked about the turnaround time. But I came, was impressed, and they have never given me a reason to consider another smog station. What I really like: 1) Easy hours: open six days a week; start at 8am and open until 5:30 on weekdays. They are open just that little bit earlier and/ or later than most shops, which can make all the difference for anyone busy. 2) Quick turnaround: you can call ahead to see how busy they are, but I have never waited more than 20 minutes. 3) Consistent, high-level service: every employee has been professional and friendly with me. Further, this is Stockton, so you will see them interact with some interesting people. I have never seen them be anything but respectful to their customers; even with people that were not respectful to the employees at Enviro Smog. They were even nice and helpful to guy who a called a female employee a 'dick' because she would not take a bribe in exchange for falsifying a smog certificate. The employee simply told the guy how that would be illegal, the business could get in a lot of trouble, he is eligible for a free re-test, and named some places that could reasonably fix his car. 4) These guys have work ethic: I find it supremely aggravating when waiting for a service and the employees are working at something like 40%. I have never seen their employees messing around, whether the shop is very busy or I am the only one there right at 8am. 5) Great price: the walk-in price is fair, but they always have coupons available on their site, through the mail, or online. The most I have ever paid is $40 out-the-door, which is a great deal. 6) The place is clean and organized: there is plentiful parking right by the smog bays; a clean, simple waiting room; the counter is uncluttered. These things make a difference, especially when you pass over your keys and paperwork with the expectation you will get the same keys and paperwork back (not someone else's). read more

This place is great. All the people on staff are very courteous and know what they're doing. I smoged 2 cars, the first time they charged me $40 because I didn't know about the $30 coupon. You can find it on the pennysaver or on their website so don't forget it or else you won't get the discount! If I would've gotten the discount the first time they would've gotten 5 stars. read more

This place is great. I have an older Corvette and the last time another smog place took about an hour. there is nothing wrong with the car. I went to Enviro Smog and was in and out in under ten minutes. Time is very important to me. Everyone was very friendly and professional.
