We looked at reviews on several websites for Smog Check Businesses in the Stockton/Lodi area. We were impressed with the reviews for All Pro Smog located in North Stockton. We did not make an appointment but dropped our car off; the waiting room was almost packed. We ran errands and returned in about half an hour and our "testing" was almost complete. We used a coupon from the All Pro Smog website and paid an amazingly low price for the test and certificate. The shop sends electronic notice of your Temporary certificate to DMV; the temporary certificate is valid for 90 days. They are professional, experienced, efficient, and very easy to work with. We will be returning when our next family vehicle's "Smog Check" is due. They also sell tires, a handsome vast array of wheels, and they do repairs. They also do Mobile Clean Truck Check inspection service: "we come to you! Call: (209) 478-7664." Nice cleaning waiting room with lots of seating and a large TV. I do not work at this business but was happy to read others' reviews today and became a new customer. read more

Waited longer than expected, for a customer service rep to tell me that the computer, system, electrical, and everything passed except by visual, my PCV tube needed a replacement. I just felt like it was something visual and not computer, very subjective right? My car didn't pass because of something subjective. So I had to get a second opinion, elsewhere. I got the rundown verbally and saw physically where "supposedly" the issue was. I appreciate it. And my car passed. I made it clear that I needed my vehicle back by a certain time, yet I was never informed that they were short-staffed. Had I known that upfront, I would have considered taking my business elsewhere. There was a minor delay related to my lug nuts, which I understand caused some hold-up. However, I dropped my car off around 8:45 a.m. and didn't get it back until 5:00 p.m., which feels excessive given the circumstances. Transparency goes a long way, and a simple heads-up about staffing issues would have made a big difference. But I guess business is business. I came down from Sacramento to get a smog check on my Jeep, as I had other stuff to do in town anyway, and I got a good deal on a Groupon. I park in front, and head inside. There was one person at the desk, and he was on the phone. Godfrey comes in from the front, and heads toward the back work area. I stopped him, and asked him if I needed to check in at the front desk first, or bring my vehicle around back first. He said, oh, you check in here. Let me help you with that. And stopped whatever it was he was doing to take care of me. We filled out all the paperwork, I didn't have my DMV letter, so we went out to the front so he could get my license plate and VIN information. Great guy, we were joking and laughing about different things. Very professional and personable. I gave him the key to take the vehicle around the back, and asked him, "about a half an hour? " he said, "yeah, maybe a little bit less." And I waited in their very comfortable waiting area watching some TV. Only about 15 minutes later, he comes back, and says, "we're done, You passed." YAAAAAY!!! we finished up the paperwork, and I had to pay an additional $8.25 for the state certificate. No big deal at all. The service was easy, convenient, and Godfrey was beyond helpful. Service was super speedy. I had a brief wait only in the lounge area while they smogged my car. Everything went automatically to DMV which pretty much all smog places do and that was the only thing needed for my registration. Everyone in the shop was kind and courteous. I've been here a couple of times to get a smog check for my vehicles. One time was for a retest and the employee was able to scan the car to make sure it was ready to test. Both times the wait was about 45 minutes. They do offer a coupon for 29.95 which is great. They do have a waiting area with seating and movies to watch while you wait. I dropped my kid off at school and came straight here. Arrived at 9:06am, they had me out the door by 927am! Less than 25 minutes, no kidding. I guess it helped that my lil baby mama Honda has no issues. Which is great for me. The lady at reception that checked me in was super nice, informative. The waiting room is large I counted 10 chairs and they're the comfy big square ones with arm rests and they had little side tables, 2 TV's, they have cameras in back work area. There are no words of how bad the customer service I received today. I would like to note we have been customers for years but will not be any longer. I took my husband's truck in to receive a front end alignment. All Pro suggested this when he put the new tires on, unfortunately he did not have time. He has not been able to take it in due to work and not having any days off. I decided to take it in to help my husband. They were so rude to me and made me feel like I was wasting their time. He was not patient when I was trying to explain the situation. I told him there should be a note on our file. I was not requesting a free service, I agreed to pay the $75. Again, felt like I was being rushed. I leave and not even 15 minutes later they call me to pick it up because they couldn't do the alignment due to the tires and rims. I was baffled by this as they are the ones we purchased the tires from and they installed them. How does it not all of a sudden work with your machine? I told them my husband will call and they can explain to him. He calls and of course they tell him he needs a different service, trying to get more money. Thankfully my husband knows what he's talking about and realized they were trying to get one over on him. I, of course had to go back to pick up the truck. At this point I felt uncomfortable going alone as to how they made me feel earlier so I had my dad go with me. They did not say a word to me. Did not say sorry for wasting your time or even how was my day...nothing! So freakin rude. This place used to be our go to. Friendly service, treated us like we were appreciated for our business. Do NOT have your car repaired here!!! They are liars and thieves. Took my car here for an oil leak to be fixed and paid them for them to do a full oil change and 2 days later my car shut down while I was driving because there was no oil in it. Their "mechanics" have no idea what they're doing and were just playing a guessing game to figure out where the oil was leaking from and they guessed wrong. They said they guaranteed their work and if I had to bring it back in because it was still leaking oil they would fix it with no charge for the labor. I brought it back and after getting caught lying to me 3 times about 3 different things (one being they told me it wasn't leaking oil and then as I'm standing there talking to them the oil drips on the mechanics face) they refused to work on my car unless I paid them another $750 for labor to fix the oil leak that I already paid them to fix when I originally brought it in. When I picked up my car, they had left the windows down and the entire inside of my car smelled like cat urine and the storage tote I had in the back of my car had hundreds of dollars worth of tools stolen out of it. read more

They took 2 hours to smog my 1994 Defender with one person ahead of me. My regular smog guy , who takes about 15-20 minutes, closed down his shop on Country Club or I'd still be going to him.
