I sold my house and moved into a rental home. It's a new build rental but the yard is terrible. I called the prior company that I had been doing business with for them last 12 years and they quoted a price that was higher than I had been paying. I had a door tag from this company and gave them a call. Great customer service from this company. The salesman Bob Tomlin did a good job with sealing the deal. His prompt responsiveness is what made the decision for me. Once my account was created, he followed up with me to let me know it had been created and I could enter my credit card information. I've used Environmental Turf for probably 10 years now and the results from their work has slowly faded to the point that I'm considering switching to another company. Environmental Turf Management is the absolute worst of all lawn care companies that I have dealt with. Why? 1. Overpriced for the substandard service rendered by their lawn technicians. 2. Substandard service, coupled with inferior products and chemicals left a lot to be desired by me. After many scheduled treatments for my lawn, my lawn's appearance was incomparable to those of my surrounding neighbors; weeds everywhere! 3. Extended wait times for a service technician to reapply the treatments, to which their scheduler(s) totally missed the mark by failing to get a courtesy service because they forget to schedule me for a service call. 4. Extremely poor fertilizer coverage, did not treat my entire lawn as per contract..... of course I had to complain about that a few times. 5. Administrative customer service is bad, DON'T hound customers with phone calls to seek payment for inadequate service. DO A GOOD JOB, do it right the first time! 6. If you have dogs, think twice about using this company. We had a note on our account for the tech to come to the front door before going into the back yard. this time I would like to pass my experience on with this company, environmental turf management, I hired this company paid for three treatments, and got more weeds that I had when I called them. I could not get anybody to explain to me if they were treating my yard or my neighbors yard. Nobody would call me and let me know when they were coming. However, thanks to the cameras at my residence. I was able to know what really was going on that the three payments where paid for for nothing. with all that being said, because I didn't make my last payment for services that I did not receive they are putting this on my credit report. It is now the last day of October and they have not even scheduled my aeration and overseed. This is insanely late. Cool season grass such as Fescue, germinate best when the soil temperatures are between 50° and 65° degrees F. These soil temperatures usually occur when the daytime air temperatures are between 60° and 75° degrees. When I called to find out what was going on today, they still couldn't even commit to giving me a day in November when they planned on doing the work. When I tried to see if another company could do it, they said they stopped doing aeration and seeding because it was too late in the year. read more

I hired EVT in 2012 after a poor experience with another company. They have been doing a great job and my yard is Beautiful! I highly recommend them. Also their fire ant protection is a must if you have ants!! read more

If you want to throw away your money then go with this company. I think they do more feeding the weeds than preventing them. My yard is an embarrassment in the neighborhood. Used this company for a year and the crabgrass has taken over my Bermuda. Very sad. The customer service is a joke as well. Do yourself a favor and call someone else. read more

If you are looking for results with your lawn - stay away from this company! I hired Environmental Turf management 2 1/2 years ago to treat my lawn with a focus of clearing the weeds (Poa Annua) from my yard. Sean Kurt came to my house and promised me that they could do it. After 1 year (and no results) Sean came to my house (at my request) and said that they needed another season to get the Poa Annua cleared from my yard. After two years he came to my house (again at my request) and said the same thing (it would take another season!). After 2 1/2 years Sean was no longer coming to my house - instead he was sending an assistant. By now, the Poa Annua was much worse than it was 2 1/2 years earlier. I finally gave up on Environmental Turf Management a few weeks ago - to be honest, I'm kicking myself for having waited so long to fire them. Aside from their lack of effectiveness, the thing that I found most disconcerting about Environmental Turf was their passive approach. Basically, they would send someone to my house 7 (or so) times per year to spray something on my yard (that didn't work!) and that was it! They never approached me about solving my weed problem. The only time that I ever spoke to them was when I called them to complain. I came to the conclusion that they are just not set up to have the kind of involvement and oversight with the yards that they are treating the way that I expected. I've had Environmental Turf since 2008, when I purchased my home. One of the factors I considered was the health/condition of the lawn. Plush, green, full... Actually would make you stop and get a second look. Back in December I started noticing thinning and in some places total erosion. I was told it was related to shade (from trees) and the lawn being "dormant"...and to wait until Spring before "acting". By the time Spring rolled around my back yard (which isn't affected by shade at all) was completely bare. The front yard was so thin you could practically count the blades of grass. Again I was told it had to do with being dormant. I had two independent companies do an assessment and each said it appeared that an incorrect chemical may have been used on the lawn. After numerous calls to ET (very poor follow-up and customer service with respect to returning calls), I was told a soil test would be done. The results took a tremendous amount of time to receive and I had to make half a dozen (I've documented each non-returned call) calls before I could speak with "Chris". The conclusion..."they don't know". The solution...sod the yard at my own expense. I received an estimate of $1,500 to sod the yard. I wouldn't recommend Environmental Turf to anyone. Ever! Go with a company that will accept responsibility for their mishaps and be willing to offer a solution that's fair to you as a customer. read more
