I was told my appointment was his first stop on the scheduled day but he never showed up. I called after he was more than an hour late. The woman that answered the phone said she'd call the electrician and get back to me. Twenty minutes later she called and said "he dropped the ball". Yes, he certainly did. They ripped us off and violated building code too. I had them install a car charger. Mario Meza…read morequoted the job and did the install. He quoted a 6-3 wire and 50 amp breaker, and that's what he invoiced as well. It turns out he actually installed a 8-3 wire and 60 amp breaker. This violates building code (verified with city of Overland Park) and is a fire hazard. It also is a cheaper wire and doesn't provide as much amperage as the 6-3 wire. We've made multiple attempts to contact them to give them a chance to correct their work--and actually install what they charged us for-- before we report them to the city. Mario took my call one time and was quite rude. He tried to claim that it's fine because it works and then hung up on me. (That's like saying it's ok to give me a cubic zirconia when he quoted and charged me for a diamond.) They won't return our calls on any of their numbers. Be aware also that they are no longer licensed in Johnson County. (He was when we hired him but it has since expired.

Unfortunately, every experience I have had with them has been consistently disappointing due to their inability to keep appointments on time--they have been extremely late every single time. Most recently, my wife and I wanted to install a sidewalk along the side of our house, which required relocating our existing HVAC unit. I invested time researching a viable solution--elevating and mounting the unit on the exterior so we could proceed with the sidewalk project. Since I purchased the unit from Hamilton, I naturally reached out to them for a price quote, to help determine if I should pursue a permit with my HOA before moving forward. I was told by their receptionist (at a foreign call center) that someone would come by between noon and 2:00 pm to discuss the project and provide a bid. This was supposed to be a first step in evaluating the project's feasibility. However, after waiting, I received a late call informing me that a technician could come by, but I would be charged $120 just for a quote. I find this completely unacceptable--especially as someone who was waiting for an appointment and expected a straightforward consultation, not a surprise fee. Aside from feeling nickel-and-dimed, the repeated tardiness and lack of clear communication have left me thoroughly disappointed. As a result, I will not be using Hamilton Plumbing for any future projects, and I cannot recommend their services to others.
