I started with this guy when he first began. Seemed like a nice enough guy who seemed to know what he was doing. Used for a few minor tasks and then used him once for emptying the tanks. At the time, he said he had a small truck, which he did, and that he would have to make two trips. I knew that meant it would cost more, but, I thought I could help out a new guy. Then it all changed: I called after he'd built his new store to repeat one of those minor tasks, and he tried to charge me $300 for a job he'd done before for $25. Then I noticed he bought new trucks, both of them small. So, the small truck excuse is just a scam to charge unknowing or kind people twice what it should cost to pump out. Not only will this guy over charge for anything he might offer to do, it will be far in excess of what the competitors will charge, and you'll only get mediocre results. (I really wish I had come to Yelp first to see these poor ratings, that would have saved me some money and time) 1. Poor communicators. Unresponsive, requires multiple follow-ups to get a response. Still waiting on questions from our inspection, although that's a moot point now. 2. Will put things on the inspection report that are questionable at best to scare you into paying for their just big enough to be tough but doable scope of work. The hope being that the homeowner doesn't know anything about septic and won't question it. I don't want to run through the whole narrative of the poor communication, because it's not as relevant as #2 here. After our inspection we had three "Deficiencies" filed with the county. I wanted these resolved to be in good standing, but based on some of the language in the report, and the easy self-fix on one of the deficiencies (something that if I were the inspector I would have simply fixed on the spot), I had some questions and I sent those back. Instead of getting an answer to any of my questions I was sent an estimate ($2200) to fix all of the deficiencies and to do a portion of the recommended work. We sent a follow up email saying that we needed our questions answered. They sent another reminder to approve the invoice. None of it felt right, so I called up several other local service providers and described my hesitancy. Without me having named who I was working with, two of them called it out immediately based just on what I described. Basically, this company has a reputation for fleecing the people of Camano. The new tech came out and walked the whole system with me. He confirmed that the deficiencies and all but one of the recommendations were either nothing, or something very easy to fix that they would have just fixed during the inspection. The service call cost a fraction ($400) of the estimate from Envirotek ($2200). read more

We were charged almost $1200 to have a 4 bedroom septic system pumped at our 4 year old home with only 2 people who have ever lived in it. We were told our system had 1438 gallons of waste, which doesn't make any sense. I will not recommend this company to any of my clients. read more

The last thing I expected, when having to order septic tank service, was to walk away with such a positive experience. Their motto, "We are the happy people doing the "crappy" work!" rings 100% true. Through both the inspection estimate and work done, Brian, the Envirotek tech, always had a smile on his face and a positive, can-do attitude. He was consistently helpful and friendly as he answered all of my many, many (new to having a septic tank) questions, and was happy to answer more, if needed. Having already approved the estimate, we were prepared to pay that amount, if not more. To our surprise, the invoice we received was one-third of the estimate, which I can only attribute to their efficiency and honesty. The value of their company is displayed through the thoroughness of their work. Their love for their customers is shown through the positive attitude they bring to the job. Their integrity is shown through the honest approach through which they do business. Envirotek has earned my future business and my highest recommendation. read more

Very friendly on the phone and timely service. Unfortunately the tech they sent out must have been new to the business and also quite lazy. He couldn't figure out how our system was wired so he said it needed to be rewired with a new timer wire and a new float(it didn't and was functioning properly). Then he couldn't find one of our end sweeps, this was because he was too lazy to kick a few fallen leaves out of the way. Their estimate to fix all of this was north of $1000. The report was so ridiculous I called every other septic company in the area for second, third and fourth opinions. Every single company I called thought the report was way out of line. So I had another inspection done by another septic company and they verified that NONE of these "deficiencies" were real/accurate and were literally laughing out loud at the lack of knowledge on Enviroteks part. They charged me $250 for another inspection and I had a 100% clean report. Long story short is that Envirotek tried to charge me $1k+ for a number of completely unnecessary "repairs" because their tech had no idea what he was doing and did an incomplete inspection. Turns out the tech is the owners son which is why they refused to do anything about it when I called to discuss the situation and admitted to me on the phone that their "deficiencies" were actually "suggested upgrades". read more

I had Envirotek come to do a septic inspection. They called and said one tank had to be pumped. I had them come for the pumping and the driver (slow moving) stated that he was surprised that this needed it and talked much of the time about his vacations. I didn't realize I was on the clock. The next day I received a voice mail (still have it) stating my balance was $284.50. She stated on the voice mail that it is much cheaper than normal because it was only 200 gallons and the quote was for 400 gallons. I got the invoice in the mail then for $382.62. I have been calling and exchanging emails for the past 6 months. I feel bad not paying but why pay $100 more than initially told. I am told that his GPS says he was there for 46 minutes so I have to pay this amount. (Tip here not to socialize with them). They wouldn't budge on this price so I just paid. Next service and all future will be with another septic company. read more

First of all, everyone was very nice. Alan came out, saw that we were upset do to the lack of concern from another company that left us high and dry. The bid was well written out and addressed everything that both parties needed to know. Questions were asked and answered and we were scheduled within a week of the bid. The work was fast, clean and completed within 2 days. The project was inspected by the county health inspector and the new Asbuilt was clear and concise. They didn't try to upsell us on anything and we were thankful for that. They worked the plans we had drawn up even tho they weren't the plan designers. I couldn't be happier with the help they have given us and would highly recommend them. read more

I Recently bought a house. The sale transfer pump and inspection was done by envirotek. The previous owner had died and the children were not local. The report Was done by Alan. He lied about the depth of the tank stating it was over 96 inches deep, false It wasn't even 60. (He reported it as deficient because of the depth stating it needed an into rely new tank to be placed) also mislabeling the depth of the 1st tank by 2 feet. The listing agent directed The crew to enter the garage to inspect the tank alarm, Alan did not and labeled it deficient stating "no tank alarm on system" the garage is a common location for the alarm. He also marked the clean outs for the drain field as not present, not only are they present but they are in perfect working condition as is the rest of the system. I'd stay away from this company plain and simple. read more

I needed to have a tank certified and chose envirotek They returned with a quote exceeding $3000 I decided to get a second quote. Second company came back with a quote of ~$1500. Second company also indicated that it was a dual tank system and first company failed to open/uncover half that tank yet made an assessment of the interior condition of the tank. I spoke with the owner regarding this oversight and provide photographic evidence. After several conversations with angry office staff insisting no mistake was made the owner spoke with me directly and admitted oversight. Despite admitting an oversight, he demanded full payment because "work had been done". I paid my debt and had the job finished with the competing company. Sorry I would love to give them a good review but just can't do it. They are very nice and will call to make sure you are happy afterwards but truth is I am not at all. Long story but this ended up costing way more than we had planned and they still didn't fix the problem. Alan told us that they could fix our problem after a panel was replaced. That didn't work and problem continued. They then tried to charge us again for yet another visit and problem was still not fixed. We ended up having to call and pay a competitor to come out and they quickly fixed the problem. When all was said and done we paid over $1000 and needless to say we won't be using Envirotek again. Sorry but you can definitely do better. Wish we would have asked around more before giving them a try. read more

I had to have a second inspection done after Envirotek had reported several diffencies to Island County before reviewing with me. Of course Envirotek eventually gave me an estimate of over 500.00. The 2nd inspection found no problems and the system is just fine and follows all the county requirements. Bottom line, I had to pay for 2 inspections. I think Envirotek is trying to make a profit off women and senior citizens. read more

We had Envirotek team/Alan come out and look at a foreclosure house my girl and I purchased and of course it had some issues. Alan and the team were flexible on working with me to determine if it was major or cosmetic issues. Thankfully it was just the components. they are not a good company to deal with i would stay away from these people they totally over charged us for a septic inspection for the sale of our house charged us 1150.00 and the system was only a year old and they were the ones that installed it for the bulider . if you see this review i highly recommend you call someone that will treat you fairly . read more

They came to troubleshoot an issue with the electrical equipment on my septic system. Afterward, the same problem, the high level alarm, continued to go off. The dispatcher said that they would send the tech out, free of charge, to resolve the issue because they guaranteed their work. A month later I received a second bill from them stating that this was a completely different order and that I needed to pay. I'm glad you guys stand by your work as long as we keep paying for the same unfixed thing. read more
