Service is top notch!!! Even the lowest pedicure option included a lovely hot stone massage rub. My pedicure/manicurist paid more attention to detail than anyone ever has. If she noticed even one minuscule speck off, she'd check every single finger to ensure that they were all perfect and balanced. When we had to leave a bit early from the drying machines (the perfectionism comes with a small price - also the longest regular mani pedi I've ever had at about 1 hour), someone came to help us out super drying oil on our nails, placed plastic bags over our toes and carefully slide our feet back into our shoes. Again, only downside was that I didn't expect it to take as long as it did. read more

The best pedicure I've had since I moved to MLPS! I popped in after a spin class + Barbette brunch, totes spur of the moment, as my Nail Police pedi was chipping after only 5 or so days in. I asked for whatever pedi they recommended that would include a pretty good calf massage and exfoliation. It's $40 for the luxe pedicure, and worth every penny. It gets pretty busy--there was definitely a 30 minute wait by the time I left--so I highly recommend making an appointment. Tho I don't see myself Uber-ing up to Envy Nails on a regular basis, I will definitely come by if I have another reason to be down in Uptown. read more

I walked in on a Friday at 4:30 and got in for a gel pedicure and a manicure after a 10 minute wait. The nail tech was very professional and did excellent work. I got the Uptown Pedicure and a regular manicure, which cost $60 with gel on my toes and regular polish on my fingernails -- definitely worth it. read more

Envy Nails is a never fail. I will admit I've tried multiple nail salons in the Uptown neighborhood but I always go back to Envy. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and they take their time to ensure you are happy with your nails. I tried the SNS powder dip manicure for the first time today & I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Highly recommend this salon. read more

I was recommended here by a friend. I was expecting great results, and something different after all the location is in uptown there's plenty of good nail salons around. This place did not meet my expectation not even a little! Such a TINY salon. Paid just about $40+ for regular polish acrylic nails. One problem they charge you a fee for using a credit/debit card.. had no clue that was a thing businesses could do. The color variety for gel was so minimal! I ended up doing regular polish because they had no type of browns in gel. The lady did not like the idea of me doing regular and my nails started going down the hill as soon as I told her her just regular polish. This one time was sufficient for me. read more

I have such mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, Amy did an amazing job on my full set. I haven't gotten fake nails in forever but she made them look thin and natural and shaped them very well. I called before to ask how much for the services I wanted. They said $50 for my gel pedicure and starting at $65 for my full set. I picked a regular gel color that looked chrome for both my fingers and toes. When it was time to pay, Eriq said " it's $150 but we'll give you $5 off" I was shocked. How is it $150 I asked? He said because you picked the chrome color. OK well shouldn't I be made aware of that before the service?? I had no idea because it was just put with all the other gel colors and didn't have a special label or anything . So, I won't be returning. I'd rather go somewhere that's reasonable and up front about their price. Charging me $35 extra just to use a special color is complete bs. I even left a $30 tip for my manicurist because I felt so uncomfortable which I definitely shouldn't have. read more

Awful, terrible experience. These people should not be in customer service. I went for a pedicure, and the woman doing my toes was cutting way too short, way too deep, she cut my skin, causing my toe to bleed; they needed to apply pressure with a towel to get it to stop. She was pulling out skin that was still attached. I told her it hurt, but she insisted it was dead skin (though it kept bleeding). My big toe was cut so deep and short that it began throbbing later on in the day, and I can barely touch it. It even affected my sleep, waking me up in the middle of the night. I called immediately in the morning, asking to speak with a manager. I explained everything that happened, including that I will probably have to see a doctor, as I have no doubt that it will get infected and ingrown. I was told that the owner was not available, but that he would call me back when he got in. After receiving no call, I called back in the mid afternoon. The woman claimed that my previous message was relayed, and that the manager would give me a $15 gift card (though why would I go back there again?). Just wanting it to be over, I went to the salon to get the giftcard, thinking that they might want to inspect what I had claimed about my toes, but they just slipped the envelope to me and went about their business. No apology or anything. When I got home, I opened the envelope to find a $10 gift card! I called them several times, only getting voicemail or hang ups. At this point, they ought to give a full refund. They clearly have no respect or care for the well being of their clients. Never have I felt so disregarded and disrespected. I would not advise going here for the risk of infection alone. read more

I was so excited to discover a nail salon in the old Dunn Bros location. I stopped in for a fill and would definitely recommend this salon! They also offer free parking in the back lot that they share with Bruegger's which is nice. They did a great job on my nails, filing them very short like I prefer, and the staff was friendly. The salon was also extremely clean with very competitive prices and I've been all over the Minneapolis area. They also accept visa, but bring cash for tip. Note: They do charge $0.95 for credit card transactions. Would highly recommend! read more

First time visitor, I had a great experience. They got me and my friend in for last minute pedicures. We chose the Uptown pedicure for $5 more than the regular, and it was totally worth it. The callus removal was thorough, even on my feet that had just endured a summer of walking, water sports, and hiking. My nails were perfectly shaped and the color selection was great. The treatment with hot stones (included) was something new for me, different from my old salon. They took their time in the massage too. The staff were attentive and friendly, I like the atmosphere of smaller salons like this. Free parking was great, we walked to the lake after! Walked in with my mom at 6:15pm on a Saturday, and only 2 customers were in getting pedicures. After an employee not doing anything asked what we needed (just 1 pedi and 1 mani), he said they were closed for the day. It is unmistakably written on BOTH the front and back doors to the salon that they're open until 7pm on Saturdays (the same info is given on this Yelp page). He kept insisting that they close at 6pm, even when I opened the door to show him the hours posted. It was such a dumb thing to try bickering about, so we just left - he obviously just had somewhere else he wanted to be that evening. Or, if they'd really changed their hours, no effort was made to communicate that. So lame! Especially because we'd gone kind of out of our way to find a place open that late in the day. read more

Best in the uptown neighborhood--and I've tried so many I feel like Goldilocks. Had a delightful pedi with hot stones and a stellar leg massage that didn't make me wince once (unlike competitors). While in the comfy pedi chair, they also started the process to get the old dipping powder nail polish off. Love the efficiency! After my pedi, I had a dipping powder manicure with Cindy. I was thinking French and she suggested a pink ombré. She took care of my cuticles too. Results are lovely and I was in and out in an hour less than 1.5 hours for both services. My last dipping mani up the street was 2 hours! The shop isn't large and uses every inch of space--but there is free parking in back!! And they had the black panther movie on with subtitles so that was a great distraction! Make sure you call ahead as it is popular! read more

The old owner got this place some bad reviews but it's under new management! Wonderful experience each of the 3 or 4 times I've been here. The 'uptown pedicure' is my favorite. They use hot stones and give a very good relaxing massage. Great color selection! My gel manicure here always lasts a good 2-3 weeks which is an amazing feat considering I'm a nurse and work a lot with my hands. Ive gone to many other salons and usually the gel only lasts a week, but not here! The salon is small but it is clean, comfortable, and modern. The staff is friendly, polite, and quiet! Monday through Wednesday they run a $25.00 pedicure special. They have off street parking in the back which is very convenient. Highly recommended! read more

I've been going to Envy Nails for over a year now for both manicures and pedicures. The staff and myself consider me a regular at this point. I go at least two times a month. Ivy, the salon manager, does an amazing job making sure that all of her clients are happy with their nails and that the technicians are well versed with her high service expectations. The place is very clean. The location space is small but efficiently used. Reasonable pricing, a frequent patron card is available..just an amazing place. Highly highly highly recommend! It will take a significant change in order for me to consider going anywhere else for my nails. read more

It was hard to decide on a rating because I went with a friend and one of us experienced lavish treatment while the other... not so much. I went in asking for the Uptown Pedicure, a basic pedicure with a little extra jazz. My friend ordered the Crystal Pedicure, one of the fancier (and more expensive) ones they offer. My technician encouraged me to order the Crystal, stating that if I did, we'd both finish at the same time. It was $8 more, but she talked it up, so I agreed. Funny thing... I ended up finishing probably 20-30 minutes before my friend. I feel like my technician was in a rush to get us in/out and was mostly just interested in our money. She talked me into a manicure too, saying I'd get it at a discount if I bundled with my pedicure (I spent $13 on the mani instead of $15 so I saved a whopping $2 by bundling). She gave me a quick half-assed file while I was still in my pedicure chair, buffed my nails a bit, gave me a really brief hand massage, then called it a day. I had to ask her three times for polish before I finally got it, and she seemed upset about having to paint my nails. I was upset that she basically wanted me to accept a quick file and buff for $13. Compared to this, my friend's technician took her time. My friend's nails looked MUCH better when we were both finished. Her technician finished her toes and moved her to a proper painting station to do her hands. She gave her an actual manicure instead of just a rush job for the extra $13. I was irritated mostly because my total ended up being around $76 before tip, over $90 after tip (I'm aware the tip amount was my decision). But for those prices, I expected better service and better results. OH... I almost forgot. I contacted them earlier that day (around 10:30-11:00) to see if they'd be able to take us that day. They said they were free and I confirmed an appointment for 2 people at 2:00pm. When I got there, they were completely full and were still accepting walk-ins despite us having an appointment. We didn't end up getting seen until around 2:40ish. So there was that, too. Yeah... All in all, the place is cute and the staff (for the most part) are friendly. The quality of work seems to depend on who you get. We went mid-Saturday so it's no surprise they were busy, which I get, but that's why we contacted them ahead of time to schedule appointments. It shouldn't have taken close to an hour to be seen when we had appointments.\ Others came in after us saying they had scheduled appointments too, but many left because they were told the same thing as us (40min+ wait to be seen, even with appointment). What got to me most about this is that they could have seen us all in a timely manner if they hadn't been accepting as many walk-ins as they could at the same time. What's the point of offering appointments if you don't honor them? I'll go back again to give them another shot, I'll just go on a week day and try to see a different technician. Nice pedicure massage chairs, clean, easy to get in. My manicurist barely massages me and wasn't super friendly- but my friend had a great massage and very friendly person. The door could be cracked a bit for fresh air due to the chemical smell. read more

Got seated immediately except the nail technicians argued about where my friend and I sit. I received an acrylic fill and feel I was charged $10 over. This is my salon or choice in the cities. It's $35 for a very long lasting gel manicure. Mine last a month. They shape my nails perfectly, apply enough but not too much polish, and always can get me in for last minute appointments. Tough to understand on the phon because the owner speaks really quiet but everyone is very nice and professional there. They offer you water. Great place for value manis read more

I went in there with a horrible dip manicure that was cracking off after a week from another place, they were not only so kind, but have some of the best attention to detail I've seen! I got seated right at my appointment time (which can be so rare other places), the salon is small but very clean and a nice atmosphere. Nothing was rushed despite the appointment being only an hour before they close. Julie did an amazing job on my nails and the manager was so nice! He even treated me to a free wax treatment because I was a first time customer and had recently had such a bad experience somewhere else.
