My boyfriend's family had been raving about Envy while visiting Napa. We made a reservation with Hailey and it was INCREDIBLE!! The wine was incredible! Her hospitality was the absolute best of what we have experienced here. She gave just the right amount of education and experience in our visit. Make sure you go on a day that Hailey is working for the best Envy experience possible! Thank you Hailey

This is another winery my husband and I got to venture out and try in Calistoga with our wine passes. I really enjoyed them! We went on a Sunday when there was football so they weren't as busy which was nice, we emailed the night prior for a reservation and they got us in no problem. Driving up you don't see the parking right away so it's kind of tucked away. The woman serving us, Barbie was really knowledgeable and kind, she took her time with us. We started with the Chenin blanc and I really liked it, it was crisp and fresh a really nice way to rev up the palate. We then moved to the Cuvee, and that is a blend of the chenin blanc, pinot blanc and semilion. I enjoyed this one too. Next we moved to Reds, first up, Bee Bee's blend, I actually think this ended up being my favorite. It was a really nice rounded red, with enough fruit and a little bite from the peppercorn notes. We ended with a Cab and Petite Sirah, what can I say you can't go wrong with cabs in the Napa valley. The petite Sirah was really really nice, probably my top two was the petite sirah and the blend. All in all I really enjoyed all of their wines and the ladies working there were very nice.

I loved this place!! The wines I tried were so good!!! And the service was awesome!! Erin totally hooked us up with lots of knowledge about the wines and the property. We had a great time talking with other guests about where they were from-Chicago represent!! I'm looking forward to see the wine club options and when a good time is to join! The wines were too good I couldn't make a decision about which ones to get. I think I'm coming back in a month to decide!

Visited on a rainy day and the wine tasting provided a lot of warmth to our heart & burst of flavor to our palate. The server was super friendly. It was a cute little spot with a private room. As a side note, we loved the Sirah. So different from the other Sirah out there. Smooth & perfectly balanced.

ERIN IS THE BEST! We are not wine drinkers, but she was patient and didn't make us feel bad for not being knowledgeable. Instead she kindly informed us of all that she knew. I felt so welcomed and not rushed. COME HERE PLEASE!!!! You won't regret it!

Only regret is not getting a few bottles of their 2007 Late Harvest!!! Its like honey in my mouth. I will be back!

When you are tired of going to the huge, mass producing wineries in Napa Valley, Envy Wines is a great place to taste good wine with a friendly staff. The winery is a couple miles north of the main drag in Calistoga, on the same street as the Old Faithful Geyser. They are open daily and tastings are $10 and they usually have you taste 4-5 different wines. All of the grapes are grown on site so the production is pretty small (their largest production is about 360 cases). Our favorite is their Sauvignon Blanc. Envy also makes Petite Sirah, Cabernet, and a BIG red called "Bee Bee's Blend" which is a mix of merlot, cabernet, and petite sirah. They also have a Rose from Vine Haven which is the label from Nils Venge, one of the owners/winemakers of Envy. The wines are middle of the road as far as prices ($55 for the Cab, $26 for the Sauvignon Blanc), but the quality of the wine and service are worth the trip.

    Haley was great!

Great hospitality from Haley (although we came to see Barbie, who we already know to be fabulous) and the wines were delicous! I wished they had umbrellas over the medal tables on the porch though... I took home Rose & Pinot Noir.

This tour took you into the bowels of the castle where you got to see where they stored the wine and places where the wine was made. Believe it or not this is an unusual experience and I would say worth every minute of the tour. Having said that this is a castle that was brought over from Italy brick by brick. So the dungeon isn't a real dungeon and the tunnels aren't exactly tunnels from the 1600s but still you get the feeling of how the Winery operates. It's truly an experience that you won't have anywhere else in Napa. They also have a mini animal farm on the property that you see once you exit the facility. This is a nice little experience for the children who go on the tour. The gift shop is actually an excellent one with unusual items not normally found in the local gift shops. I purchased several of their aiders as gifts and everyone loves them. If you can order them online, I would do so they're very unusual and a great gift for wine lovers.

The wine was really good and the family tours make it even more fun because you're not just there looking at a bunch of walls . You actually get to learn some of the history behind the castle and how everything came together. And when I say this place has rooms on rooms on rooms... they were not playing! There's so much to see throughout the castle, from the different rooms and hallways to all the little details that make you feel like you stepped into another time period. The higher you get, the better the views too. Being up top and looking out over the Napa Valley was definitely one of my favorite parts. You can really sit back and take in the scenery and understand why people come out here to visit. The family tour was fun, the wine was good, the atmosphere was great, and there's plenty to look at. Definitely worth stopping by if you're doing a Napa trip and want something a little different than just winery hopping. 4 -- Fun experience, good wine, beautiful views, and a LOT of history packed into one castle! .

Romeo holds a special place in our hearts because we visited them a little over seven years ago. During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. However, we will make a return visit in the near future to enjoy a full tasting experience!
