Very nice place the food was fresh and really good everyone enjoyed their meals . Service was excellent !

Really didn't feel like this place was that great. Our waiter had an attitude and made it seem like he could care less about us. The appetizers (meatballs & mozzarella and carrozza) were not good. We didn't finish them. Pasta dishes were okay - penne vodka was bland. Will not be coming back. Edit: just realized our bill was $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 bottles of water! Way overpriced.

Had dinner tonight at Cafe Sapori with work mates and the food was excellent. Everything tried was delicious and the dark chocolate dessert was heavenly. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. Great place for work dinners that allow you the time to socialize.

    Chicken Rossine

Made a resy for 7 pm on a Friday night and glad I did. The place was packed. My girlfriends and I enjoyed all of our meals... Brie appy, bolognese, chicken Parm and chicken rossine. So good. We also indulged and got desserts and they were well worth it. We were well taken care of by our servers. The place is packed with tables... felt like a maze getting to our table. My only complaint is it was extremely loud. I couldn't hear the person across from me at times. It is byob and that is a big plus... as long as they remember to check in and fill your glass. They have their own parking lot as well.

SALMON PRINCIPESSA - Pan seared salmon in dijon mustard sauce

My new favorite place in town. I actually like the fact that it is BYOB. For me, this is a great place to visit and share new brews from way, way, out of town with close friends. Service has always been perfect and having the SALMON PRINCIPESSA - Pan seared salmon in dijon mustard sauce the last time I had dinner there I wonder if I should ever try anything else. (Yeah, I probably still will) The ROASTED BEET AND GOAT CHEESE SALAD - White cherry vinaigrette was a hit too. In warmer weather, they have outside seating. Parking can be a bit of a challenge and so can finding the place. It is NOT on a main drag in any sense of the term. Plug this one into GPS and take care in the tight lot.

    Amazing Beef Carpaccio !!

Amazing food!! Cafe Sapori is Amazing!! From the service to the deliciously executed menu. It took us a minute to make our decision. It was a very tough call. It's also a BYOB. My water was constantly refilled, bread serving was warm and fresh. The specials recited sounded perfectly paired. It's been a while since I have experienced this type of service and attention. We were there for a work dinner. I felt so good. I ordered beef Carpaccio- many restaurants took this out of their menu. So you could imagine how pleasantly surprised I was. Um I ate the whole thing. Main course was the Ribeye - perfectly cooked. I tried to finish it. I took my leftovers home. I was dying to try the crème brûlée. It was dreamy. I will treat myself to another great experience in the spring. If you haven't been. Great date night or any time you like to give your self a bit of attention!!

I could not view reviews of dishes, so had to step outside to take a peak. Cannot justify paying such prices for dinning in a tiny, dark space in half-basement in the middle of NJ. Just can't. The portions are generous, which is good. But the prices are still outrageous for the location and vibe. It is BYOB for alcohol. We walked in on Sunday at 6pm without reservations and by 7pm, the small space filled up. The $12 hummus was bad. Store bought hummus of the cheapest brand tastes better. Seriously don't understand how a hummus can taste so bland and meh. No seasoning? The pita that came with it was low quality--it gave my friend an allergic reaction right away [he has sensitivity towards poor quality flour products]. $44 paidakia--lamb chops--had 4 chops that were tender and delicate. Pasnip pure was bland and totally a miss--did nothing to complement anything on the plate. Barely any demi lace sauce--definitely on the dry side. Asked for potatoes to be sutstituted for brocollini, but the kitchen did not follow through with that ask, even though our waitress confirmed it was possible. $39 lamb souvlaki was a solid dish. Filling and hearty. Good quality meat skewer. Smoked eggplant puree had a very strong smoke flavor. Lemony potatoes had bright, refreshing lemomy flavor that we appreciated. Service is attentive and quick. Complementary toothbrushes in the bathroom were a nice touch--a star for this little amenity.

And no one smiling, nor upbeat and happy in greeting us. Good was goof to very good. Solid plus, no wow factor. My piece of salmon was not only large but perfectly cooked as requested. Short ribs and a veal Milanese was also ordered and was very good. Veal was tender, short ribs soft as soft could be. We chose to go out for ice cream even though they had some decent options. And given how busy it was, I wasn't even sure who our main server was. No one came over during the meal to ask how we were going. And at the end the server was different than who we started with and it took forever to flag someone down for the check. Food was a 4, but everything else we encountered brought the overall experience to a 3. I'm new to the area so if and when I'd be happy to go back and hopefully have another good meal with better service - more attention!

There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. Shrimp tacos - tender seasoned shrimp served on fresh corn tortillas and a spicy sauce on the side were excellent. The steaks - one medium rare ribeye was surprisingly lean, but tender and flavorful and was beautifully cooked. The filet ordered medium came somewhere between rare and medium rare. But it was tender as expected (it is prime filet after all). Asparagus side was phenomenal. Shoestring fries came out crisp but oddly room temp. Sea bass dish was good, but the menu description failed to adequately describe the ingredients. The steaks were typical upscale steakhouse, but I guess I was hoping for a more Mexican-inspired flare when it came to the sauces or sides. Service was well-coordinated and available and friendly and efficient. The area that was lacking was the knowledge of the food. No one knew what was in the sauce that accompanied the shrimp tacos. It's okay not to know perhaps, but say I don't know and go find out. Also requested information about the dishes was lacking, particularly when it came to food allergies which one person in our party had.
