Enzo's had an email contact on their website for me to contact them about hosting my Mom's birthday party. They were incredibly responsive had a few great packages for us to help accommodate the 22 people coming. There was no detail forgotten about. The room we had was perfect! They let us stay all night until they closed and the wine was flowing all night. Might I add that the food was incredible. Everyone raved about every dish, and no one left hungry! Enzo's also let us bring our own cake. We had a ton of left overs and the staff kindly packed it all up and labeled all the food without asking! Everyone and everything at Enzo's was spectacular. If you ask me...the highlights were the Calamari, the Fried Meatballs, and the Eggplant Parm! It was a very memorable night. read more

Ate lunch here indoors today -- my first indoor meal since the pandemic began. My friend and I were both vaccinated and I hope the wait staff here was too because almost no one was masked. Came in 6 deep on Easter Sunday and initially they had no tables available. The host and hostess through out a 2 hour wait which was not in the cards for us. As we turned for the door the gentleman asked us to wait a sec and see if he could move some things around. He did just that and saved Easter dinner. I had not been to Arthur Ave in well over 10 years and was excited to get some authentic Italian off the menu. We started with Clams Oregano and Mini Artichokes. All came out amazing and then each of us had either pasta or protein. My daughter had the Chicken special with ham and Asparagus and a side of Penne Alla Vodka. Both were amazing. The Branzino was also a stand out with Lemon and Capers. All Pasta was fresh and flavorful. I went for the Chicken Franchaise which was classic and super tender. No knife needed. Finished with dessert Chocolate Mousse Cake and Crème Brûlée was a great end to a wonderful meal. The service was great and they went the extra mile to seat us on a holiday. read more

Another very good experience at Enzos of Arthur Avenue. I think my only negative comment about the experience was that we had to wait for our entire party to be there to be seated. I would have liked to had a nice drink but wasn't given the option. Other than that the experience was very good. The food is above average. Mixed results. Expansive menu a bit overpriced but my middling review relates strictly to chicken scarpariello. Was very excited to try my favorite dish esp on the bone - what a downer ! Lemon breaded chicken with no tang, blah blah! Asked for cherry peppers and they brought side dish of peppers and actually surcharged me! My first time in little italy after I moved to the Bronx, and this was definitely a great italian food experience. my friends and I started with an appetizer platter of cheeses, meats, some veggies. simple yet delicious. Oh and the bread was really good. I think I got full just from eating that. Make sure you ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. we got a veal dish with mozzarella on it. this dish was really good. we also got a pasta with tomato sauce with olives. the sauce and olives were really well made, the tomatoes tasted fresh too. but I wasn't a huge fan of the actual pasta. Service was great though. You don't have to be dressed up when you go, but I recommend at least jeans. I have heard extraordinary things about this place. I have been excited to go here for years. I came here for the first time on a Sunday around 3. We were able to pick our own table, which I always love. We sat next to the kitchen steps & register booth, which was our mistake as it lead to a many awkward & uncomfortable encounters. As a female, dining with her best friend, I have never in my life, nor ever again will allow what happened to me to happen again. A busboy who was late thirties continuously stood too close, stared at me for far too long, turned his back to my friend to stare at me, kept staring at me from the steps above. If I wasn't covered up in a large shirt & jacket I would have definitely left this restaurant ASAP. We ordered our food & were only able to take a few bites(which was unfortunate because it was REALLY REALLY GOOD) & immediately rushed our check & left. I was so shaken we went straight to our car & took off. We are young, 20 something girls & should NEVER have to experience this. I should have spoken to a manager but I was physically afraid this bus boy would follow me to the door. He also quickly checked my check book as soon as we put it down. Which now has me scared he will somehow find me. So will not be returning unless I am with my boyfriend or my father. Hope I can return & be able to improve this rating without the uncomfortable, inappropriate dining experience. read more

How is it possible that pasta cost so little and this restaurant servings are so tiny! The prices are huge, $105.00 Only one beer. Tiniest lobster tail I've ever seen, few shrimp and only like a hand full of pasta. It was dry. I was still hungry, so I ordered cheese cake and cappuccino, cheese cake was soooo dry! My husbands meal was delicious Rigatoni a la siciliano But a very small portion. Love the place. Normally they are on point. Last week, had the Rustico Chicken. It was tough; not even chewy. The chef shouldn't have sent the Rustico Chicken out of the kitchen. Be warned the dish is chunks of chicken or chicken nuggets? not what i expected. Perhaps the waiter should have explained what I was getting when ordering. Overall the staff fell down on several counts. Chunks or not, if a chef can't cook chicken properly he/she needs to go back to school or his family or wherever he/she learned to cook. Unfortunately, I let the waiter know, a bit late as I had struggled through it. Rather than a gracious we'll fix that on your next visit or something more than an off hand: "You should have said something" I mean yea...i shudda but no one even stopped by to ask how it was. The wait staff was not the normal attentive staff I have experienced previously. They quickly grabbed an empty bread basket; we had to ask for more of the great olive bread to dip in the Edda EVOO. My guest had Pasta carbonara: it was excellent with Orchiette pasta. So thumbs up for that as well as the perfectly done calamari as our starter. read more

I wrote a long review when I was upset and deleted it. Enzo's is a great restaurant, but like so many others, doesn't always consider everyone with respect. I made a reservation for five for a friends reunion. I checked my reservation twice to avoid any issues, but upon arrival the hostess, maybe manager or owner, tried to seat us in a back passageway. You've got to be kidding me. It required an embarrassing negotiation in front of my friends to at least get a table set up in the overflow area. She never even offered the main dining room. So much more detail involved, but I'm trying to keep this short. Food was very good. Luis was a terrific server. Thanks Luis. Nice job! Overall experience was less than enjoyable. People with reservations, actually anyone, should be treated with respect and hospitality. Give me the best table available when I arrive and make me feel like you care about me as your guest. Why should I have to negotiate for a nice table location? I don't get it, but it happens too often in too many places. You're in the hospitality business, be hospitable! Food quality was lousy For $26 I ordered shrimp with asparagus over spaghetti. The spaghetti they served was supposedly homemade but it tasted pasty/floury not light. Also they served angel hair spaghetti with it when it should have been regular strong spaghetti the asparagus was over cooked and tasteless the shrimp were delicious and perfectly cooked. My son ordered the Arthur Ave pizza and it was sent back and taken off the bill although the crust was done the tomatoes on top were uncooked it looked like someone took juice from a 28 oz can of plum tomatoes and put it on the top. It was swimming with water and liquid so it seeped into the crust and made a floppy mess. My daughter ordered tagliatelle with vodka sauce and they did not serve her tagliatelle they served her a small rolled pasta. Service was bad. We asked for lemons for our water 4x. Nobody asked us how the food was after it was served i had to chase Down a bus boy to show him the wet soggy pizza I got a glass of wine it cost $10. Iwill not return there read more

So cleanliness was very good they offered sanitizer and wet naps. They tried their best to not circulate menus so instead they offered digital menus on your phone. One of the best places for authentic Italian on Arthur Ave! I was honestly surprised to see all the bad reviews as I have been eating at Enzo's for years. I have never been disappointed with the service and the food is always delicious. Once you sit down you are greeted with their famous olive bread and a friendly waiter to go through the specials. LISTEN UP cause their specials can be out of this world. The Rigatoni Bolognese is my go to pasta dish and is consistently satiating. If you are lucky enough to find your way there on a Sunday, the Lasagna is a MUST GET. This piece of art is packed with three different types of meats and smothered in red sauce. We stopped into Enzos yesterday after two other restaurants were unable to accommodate my daughter's food restriction. We were seated outside right away (around 4pm on a Saturday). The atmosphere was fun and the food was very good. But the reason for this 5 star review is that the hostess truly went out of her way to make sure my daughter was taken care of. When she saw an issue, she addressed it immediately and then came over with another item that she could enjoy. I am only giving one star because I could not leave zero stars. I was with a party of five on Saturday night. My friend and his gf were at the bar at 2pm having apps and drinks. They asked the hostess for a table around 5-5:30pm. The hostess said to let her know when the whole party arrived and she would seat us. Our whole party arrived at 5:30pm and informed the hostess. She said ok and she would have a table shortly. We waited at the bar and had drinks. After the first hour of waiting, we checked in to see about our table. She said we were next and it won't be much longer. Another hour goes by and I go over to the hostess to inquire about our table. She proceeds to get extremely nasty telling me they are very busy and we did not have a reservation. I explained to her that my friends told her they needed a table for 5:30pm and she told them she would seat us when we all arrived. She said she never said that and no reservation means you get a table if there is one. I said how long would that be. She said after 9pm. I was livid I went back to my party and explained. There were two parties of 5 who we know did not have a reservation, came after us and were seated in the time we were waiting. She came over to us twice and said we had a table for us. Each time we watched her seat other parties at the tables she said were for us. We ended up walking out. The treatment of our party was beyond disrespectful. It was disgusting. Arthur Ave offers an array of restaurants, bakeries, and authentic meat and deli stores. A great place to walk the streets and taste a bit of Italy. We decided to eat at Enzo . We sat outside actually on the street which was closed off by the police. Plenty of people on the street but practicing social distancing. Our appetizers of rice balls, octopus salad, and mushroom pizza was amazing. We ordered house wine which I believe was over priced at $40 a bottle. Our entrees were hit or miss. I actually had veal parmigiana. The veal was tender and delicious but the pasta and sauce was not worth eating. The sauce was very sour and the pasta taste store bought! My wife's entree had fresh pasta which was amazing. In a group of 5 only 3 had fresh pasta but the sauce was a big turn off. I don't believe the chef taste his sauce. I will pass on returning to this place since I expect the sauce to be a key component to Italian dishes. read more
