Okay I literally just pulled this place up on a whim and I'm not kidding when I say I'm so glad I did. This place feels like it's a boutique urban spot from Chicago- super clean but tight atmosphere. My wife and I split a egg cheese and ham brekkie sandwich with a chocolate croissant and my Lord I can see why the French gave this place a "You can be on the same planet as us" award thing. The croissant was crispy (a little dense) but really good. They also handed out almond croissant samples which was so insanely soft and sweet and good. Staff was super friendly and didn't give us that rushed feel which was great. And the food was so much better than the prepackaged meals at the hotel's corner cafe. Went on road trips to several cities including NOLA and still no luck. On Thanksgiving my amazing wife surprised me with the croissants from this wonderful bakery and they were incredible. Stopped by Loic Bakery to finally indulge in their famous croissants, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I tried the Pistachio White Chocolate Almond Croissant, which was fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor, and the Almond Croissant, which had just come out of the oven, making every warm, buttery bite even better. I found the service here to be lacking. The cashier I got could barely look me in the eye and mumbled a lot. Although the coffee came quickly, my food took forever. The baked goods we bought (white chocolate pistachio croissant and a baguette) were very good. The avocado toast, on the other hand, was pathetic. I don't think I've ever gotten such a lame, puny piece of toast. Worse yet, with a single egg, it was $16. No thanks - won't order that again. Because of the rain today, everybody was inside, so it felt a little packed and we took our food to-go. I'm guessing it's a more enjoyable dine-in experience when you can sit on the patio. read more

Awful service, decent food. RUDE older woman works here making our experience here bad every single time. We've been coming here for years and the service and quality has declined so much. One of the workers here gives customers attitude for making basic requests and does not even greet you. She is constantly in a bad mood while serving and it makes the experience so terrible for guests. The lattes do not come with enough milk and multiple customers had this issue (barista was possibly making them wrong). When asking for more milk for the latte, since it came like a black coffee, they gave us attitude and argued saying that's how it comes (it is not because i've been here for years and lattes usually come with plenty milk as they should). Additionally, any time that we have been here we have to ask multiple times to get our pastries warmed up and the workers always act as if it's an inconvenience. They are also very slow and disorganized and it's a mess every time we want to order and pick up our order. Every single time I have received a coffee in a cup and saucer here, it comes spilt over onto the plate. Anywho, all of this to say, we will not be coming back due to the awful service we experience here. it's a good location and food but the bad service and constant getting orders incorrect does not make it worth it to come. read more

Ordered lunch for our office today and was sadly disappointed. Ordered soup of the day which was chicken noodle and received nothing but broth and 2 slivers of a carrot. Chicken salad sandwiches had about a tablespoon of chicken salad on each one and thrown in a box. Ordered the Quinoa Salad and added chicken. When I arrived to pickup our order I asked if the chicken was in there and they said yes. When I got back to our office there was no chicken and no dressing. I called the restaurant and explained that everything looked horrible and had missing items and the gentleman said there is nothing they could do about it. He got his manager and she said the only thing they could do was credit us for the chicken soup and salad. Unfortunately, everything was horrible and we wanted a full refund. I drove to the restaurant and after they verified that every item was being returned, they agreed to refund our order. I have never been to a restaurant that did not try to make things right. I do not recommend this place for anyone in the future. Sadly disappointed. read more

Loic Bakery (pronounced loo-eek) in downtown West Palm Beach is a place I have always wanted to visit and I finally got the chance to stop by on a Saturday afternoon. It is between Iris Street and Hibiscus Street in the City Palm Condominiums facing Dixie Highway. There is metered street parking. The bakery is within walking distance of Rosemary Square. This special bakery was founded by Loic Autret from France. He met his wife when he was in the French military and she was an American college student completing her studies. The couple embarked on a new life together and he left the military to pursue a career in baking. Loic moved to the United States with his wife to take a job as the head baker at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach. For 20 years he perfected his artistry to bring the perfect croissant to South Florida. He sold his pastries at farmers markets, sublet a bakery after it closed for the day, and opened a bakery with a partner before finally opening Loic, his own bakery in 2017. The heart of Loic Bakery is fine French baking. They sell avocado toast, charcuterie, artisanal sandwiches, salads, and soup along with fresh baked focaccia, croissants, baguettes, cookies, quiche, buttery viennoiseries, cakes, and tarts all made from scratch with the finest of ingredients. They also have hot and cold coffee beverages, French wine, and beer. One of their most famous pastries is the pistachio white chocolate croissant which I had to have. It was huge! The gold brown flaky exterior had a slight crunch while the sweet and buttery interior was pillowy soft. Eating it was a truly amazing experience and I have been thinking about it all week. I also got a delightful mocha latte that was the perfect companion to the delicious pastry. You can eat inside at a table or along the wall with plenty of room to work or study. The high ceilings and windows lend charm to the room while the beautiful banana leaf accent wall is perfect for your Instagram. If the weather is nice they have a lovely outdoor area with beautiful landscaping and fountains. In the fall Loic also has a booth in the West Palm Beach Green Market. No matter where you chose to enjoy your food be sure and order a few extra pastries for later or be prepared to live in regret. This is the best French bakery in town! My favorite croissant is the raspberry almond. So buttery and rich. The coffee is the perfect roast and pairs so well with the pastries. Service is fast and friendly, and the inside of the café is welcoming, definitely a good vibe for a relaxing breakfast. I had to ask for more milk in my coffee in an attempt to get it to taste better but it really didn't do much. We tried the avocado bagel and smoked salmon breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience left a lot to be desired, especially for the prices. The staff appeared to be very overwhelmed, which led to a less than friendly experience. They must be using commercial pistachio filling. Making a pistachio frangipani is relatively easy and if you're using natural pistachio butter, the color is natural green. Loic is a cafe technically located on S. Dixie but the building is 480 Hibiscus which covers the block radius. The interior of the cafe has a modern industrial feel that is surprisingly open and airy. The staff baristas and cashier are attentive, nice and friendly. The menu is simple, limited to sandwiches, breakfast items, pastries and coffee. I had a cappuccino and chocolatine croissant not pictured, both were excellent. I also had the Croque Monsieur which is like French grilled cheese sandwich with ham, and it's served with a small side of greens.
