This review is for takeout. Food - we got the BBQ chicken pizza and the Pasta Enzo. The BBQ chicken pizza was excellent! We got it without tomatoes and onions. I would definitely recommend this. The pasta was good, with peppers, mushrooms, and chicken in a white sauce. Not too much chicken which is a little annoying since it is a little more expensive, but the portion was huge. Service - Took about 15 minutes for them to make, so timing was great. Overall - I would recommend this place based on the BBQ pizza . read more

Never ordering or eating here again. They put ingredients in the pizza we did not even order and up-charged us for toppings they did not even put on the pizza. They put toppings we could not eat due to food allergies. I called back when I realized they gave us the wrong pizza and they refused to do anything about it. So $23 down the drain. read more

I've been going to Enzo's for over 20 years and am really surprised by all the bad reviews. Enzo Sr. has always been really nice and friendly (he and my dad have a Yankees/Mets rivalry that goes back two decades) and I've been consistently satisfied with the quality of the food and service. People in Washington are very loyal to their preferred pizza joint (we've got about 15 to choose from), and Enzo's has some very dedicated clientele. I can't imagine getting pizza anywhere else. Plus their French fries are insanely delicious: if you always get takeout, eat in the restaurant someday and order them. Sitting in styrofoam on the drive home really ruins the fries, and they deserve to be eaten right after they come out of the fryer, because they are amazing. read more

I've never had issues with the food. However, I was there last week with a friend and we were eating our food when I saw a child (one of the workers children) stick all of his fingers in his mouth and then proceed to stick his hand in the garlic knots searching for which one he wanted. Not sure I'll be ordering anything there anymore unless it is fresh made. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for 25+ years. It used to be the best, unfortunately it has gone down hill in the past couple of years. I still eat their occasionally, but stick more to the pizza and sandwiches. Their French onion soup is amazing and their sub sandwiches are pretty good. Be prepared for kind, but slooowwwww service. I have to say in the 8+ years I've lived here I have never met people in a business that considered customers to be indebted to them. We used to go every Friday night for a year and they can't even give you a lousy drink to say hey thanks or acknowledge you as a customer. I find them rude and inconsiderate especially Enzo, are you kidding me you don't even look at your customers and you don't consider them a customer but you expect them to pay you for food and that's that, fascinating! This unexpected find was tucked away in a small strip mall in town, adjacent to a gas station. Despite the very unpromising façade, my late lunch here was a surprisingly good experience. They have an extensive menu of Italian staples, American fare, subs, burgers, and pizzeria options. I had the Torre Melenzane and a garden salad. The Torre was an elegant presentation of grilled eggplant, layered with Portobello mushroom and perfectly wilted spinach, drizzled with a balsamic reduction. (I had them hold the mozzarella.) It was fresh, and just delicious. The salad was also fresh, and surprisingly tasty, despite the simple vinaigrette dressing I ordered. Everyone was happy with their order and their food, and impressively, the restaurant managed to have all twenty orders ready simultaneously and at the right temperature when they hit the table. Entrée sizes are quite huge, so come ravenous and be prepared to leave with a large doggie bag. Our waitress was simply fantastic--enthusiastic, pleasant, very knowledgeable about the various offerings, and helpful as we tried to make our selections. She was able to keep all our orders, including numerous special requests and last-minute changes straight, and proactively offered us the option of individual checks even though we were a large group. It's a capacious restaurant, and the décor is casual Americana, which is to be expected given the remote location. Prices were incredibly reasonable too. So, great food at super prices? Disappointed. I ordered blackened chicken pasta alfredo. The pasta and sauce were acceptable but the chicken was definitely not blackened. It was overcooked/really dried out, possibly leftover from something else. Some chicken was sliced and some was diced leading me to believe further that I was leftover. We order from here only when desperate because its close. WAY over priced and you don't even get a salad! Take out orders have been wrong too many times as well. Major disappointment after having enjoyed the "brother" restaurant in Hackettstown for many years. And the menu has less than half the options ! In addition to very limited menu, food isn't that good. Pizza is very doughy and bland. Fries are usually cold and seem to be reheated leftovers. The one dish we do enjoy is pasta Bolognese and it's nice that they have a whole wheat option. Location seems to be their selling point here, @ 57 between 31 & Brass Castle- they're aren't many competitors unfortunately. read more

Good food. Sketchy service. The pizza and pasta dishes we had at Enzo's were top notch, but the wait staff could do with some training. Our waitress was busy gabbing with another employee as customers were entering and waiting to be seated and she couldn't be bother answering a patron's question until she finished drinking her beverage behind the bar. Atmosphere: Typical pizza joint, except worse ventilation. It smells very greasy. Service: Fine. Food: Had the pizza and it was super greasy and made me feel sick the rest of the day. This used to be an excellent Restaurant. Now the order didn't get done right, food not fully cooked and a charge of 50 cents for sauce or soda refill??? When the kids that rang me up asked the other guy to make my missing sausage roll his reply was "no we are too busy". At that point I should've just walked out and ate something else we ordered. My wife and I order takeout from here pretty often when we both work late. The food isn't gourmet, but it's still good. I like their pizzas, particularly their barbecue chicken pizza. It has a family style atmosphere and pretty good service. I feel like they're a good go-to place. read more

Enzo's has excellent Italian food, the "bubba sauce" marinara with melted mozzarella is amazing! It's a family own and run business, no it's not super fancy, but hey it's the best pizza around, and we have a lot of them here. The Chicken Francese is excellent, and although some of the other reviews noted you don't get a side salad, they give you warm bread, and it keeps coming! The portions are usually very large. I've been out here 20 years, and it's still the best Italian place around, and you don't even have to dress up:) read more

The pizza cheese tastes old and gooey. Their specials are overpriced as well as many other things on the menu, and the water tastes weird.

Bartender disappears. The heat of the sauce is determined by red pepper flakes, not Tabasco sauce. No bread served with dinner. When asked for was given a cold strip of focaccia with two tubs of butter. You want a slice or sub and a cold beer? Come on in. You want Italian food? Not the place. read more

Tonight I ordered a cheesesteak sandwich and a grilled chicken caesar salad with dressing on the side. My husband picked the order up. When the salad came I started to put it on a plate and noticed there was watery dressing on the romaine. It was obvious that they had washed an already made up salad. I called and spoke with the manager who said they would make up another and deliver it. 45 minutes later still no salad so my husband took it back to the restaurant. They didn't reimburse him and he walked out. I called again and the manager said they'd put the money aside. This is not the first time we've had problems but it is the LAST time. read more

Very disappointing experience last night. Needed a quick bite to eat and stopped here. Plenty of seating at 6:45 on a Friday night (that oughta be a sign). Waitress had little knowledge of the menu. My son ordered a dinner and I had to point out that it comes with a salad. She seemed surprised. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The waitress brought me a steak sandwich. I asked how long it would take to prepare the right order and was told 10 minutes. Not having time to wait, I ate it (not bad, not great). I was brought the bill, looked at it quickly and gave her my credit card. At this point I realized that they had made no accommodation for serving me the wrong food, and me actually saving them $$ by eating it. When she brought the receipt back for me to sign, I told her I was surprised that nothing was done to the bill to reflect this. She sent over the owner. He said he could have made the right sandwich very quickly. I told him I asked the waitress how long it would take and she said 10 mins and that is why I ate what was brought - no time to wait. He told me he would have to confirm that with the waitress - he didn't believe me. He then said if I had pointed it out before the credit card was run, he could have done something, but now it was too late - guess those credit card companies have stopped accepting refund transactions as of yesterday. Nothing was offered. Not a dessert, gift card, coupon...nothing. A place where the customer does not matter (this is directly from the owner) will not see any of my business any more. Just visited and as usual they still can't get it right. Charged me for a Spinach Roll when it was supposed to be a calzone, go figure the spinach roll was more expensive. Stopped by this afternoon after leaving Belvidere. Not a bad crowd for 1:30. They had a bar to the right (about 10 chairs) that was just opening up. Just grabbed two slices (1 pl. & 1 sausage).....and i was quite suprised. The pizza was a just little thicker, and slightly more dense than normal pies but had a great crispness to it. Not crackingly and falling apart, and not too dougy. the sauce was not sweet (thankfully since i hate sweet sauce) and the cheese was delicious. Sausage was minced to small shreds but tasteful. Saw many customers ordering lots of different types of foods and everyone seemed very content. Definately will stop by again if passing through. read more

No go....used to be our favorite pizza. Last few times we could hardly eat it and we are not the "picky" type. Used to love their Mexican pizza but was sorely disappointed last time we got that. Gave them another try with a regular pizza and it was horrible. Also seems the large pies were smaller than they used to be. I wish they'd go back to what they used to do but it seems like the quality of food has gotten worse. And its not exactly cheap. Sorry to say we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Whether you are looking for pizza or a nice Italian meal you cannot beat Enzo's. It's a family-owned restaurant in a great location. The prices very reasonable and the food is homemade. My favorite pizza is the "old-fashioned". The food is fresh and in good quantity. There is a variety of choices from the restaurant menu in different price ranges. They're all great dishes I have not had one dish that I didn't love. Service is excellent and everything comes out in a timely manner. I can't think of a better place to eat, which is why I eat here at least once a month and I'm about 20 miles away. It's totally worth the trip! read more

Aight let me start off by saying dis pizza is the bomb! The tall skinny guy is awesome he funny as hell and knows what he doing when it comes to making a pie, I think he the manager to. The larger guy there is kinda a douche bag not gonna lie and is rude in my opinion doesnt seem like he wants you there and he do alot of sweating which is dissatisfying. The owner I always see sitting down or talking at bar he is a good guy to when it comes to talking to him but if that's the only thing you do is talk then you should be good at it. I see that pretty much is all spanish guys in back and I got penne russa which is a vodka sauce and a cheesesteak and everything was delicious so props to them, overall its a decent place I go about twice a week so im always coming back. I've been here many times. Their spideni and their pasta dishes are very good and I highly recommend them! I dined in a several times- beautiful restaurant, however all 4 times I've eaten there, the service was not good. The waitresses don't seem very friendly- I felt as an annoyance which is a big no-no in the restaurant industry. I've started just ordering it as take out. All is well. read more
