    OMG Burger

This is an early Sunday afternoon. We got seated outside fast. We waited and waited for more than 15 minutes. No attention at all. The waitress was still seating the new comers. I went inside and still got ignored. I bet they were short of hands today. We had no choice but to go to another restaurant we used to go to. OMG is our favorite restaurant. I still think so. I will give it another try sometime later. I never give a 1-star rating to a NJ restaurant. Normally if I don't like it I just don't rate it. Today, I liked it but hated to be treated like that.

Trying OMG for the first time and was not disappointed. We ordered the bison burger. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were crispy! The restaurant has a cozy, laid-back vibe and the servers are friendly and keep checking on the tables consistently. Food is delicious and service was quick. Will be returning to try more items on the menu.

Trying this place for the first time and I will say from the moment you walk in the ambiance is great! Very warm and cozy with a nice looking bar. Our server Joann, was super nice kept checking on us and everything came out accurately which doesn't seem to happen much with a family of six. Once the food came there were zero complaints! The burgers were a tad greasy but overall extremely delicious and the fries were nice and crispy! Overall I can't wait to go back here!

I came for the burgers and like other reviewers, was not impressed. The patties are premade and I'm pretty sure frozen but they do offer a nice wide variety of build-your-own, which is nice. What was very good: the Bavarian pretzel, best I've had in a long while and the mustard and cheese dips were fresh and delicious. And that French onion soup? A real star of the day. Place is beautiful, too bad the burgers don't live up to the rest of the place and menu. It's definitely worth another try and oh yeah, the beers on tap selection is huge. Service was meh. In total 3.5 stars would suffice. 5 for ambiance, 2 for burgers, 5 for onion soup, 5 for pretzel, 2 for service.

Today @BigDudesBigFoods had some juicy burgers and delicious apps at another NJ #SmallBusiness - @OMGBurgerandBrew in #LongValleyNJ We started out with some #BeerBattered pickles and a tower of onion rings. Both were accompanied by some tasty dips. Joe got the OMG burger on pretzel bun. If OMG thinks it's good enough to put their name on it, we should try it. Of course, it was juicy and delicious. I got the, "Burger of the Month" which was the "Wild Boar Burger " Loved It" #OMGBurgerAndBrew has a cool vibe like a barn was revamped into a restaurant. The crew is friendly and knowledgeable and has a fun energy. There is something for everyone on the menu. We definitely recommend this place. OMG Burger delivers delicious food but falls short on service efficiency. Worth a visit for burger lovers who don't mind a bit of a wait. The menu offers a good variety of options, from classic cheeseburgers to more adventurous specialty creations. The ambiance is casual and laid-back, on an barn style Setting Service, however, leaves something to be desired. The staff appears slightly inattentive, with long waits between ordering and receiving food, and occasional lapses in attentiveness. Worth a visit!

While visiting a friend in NJ over the weekend we checked out OMG burger and Brew in Long Valley. The interior was very spacious with huge ceilings, a nice bar, tons of tables, and an upstairs area. There were outside tables as well which was inviting also but we chose to sit inside. Our server was very friendly and jumped right into our conversation and started joking around with us and stuff. With that said, she wasn't a great server otherwise. Ten minutes after we ordered our drinks we were curious where they were and looked at the bar to find the bartender just cleaning and doing side work. We then see our server go to a POS screen and then the bartender began working on our drinks. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy so ten minutes to even enter our drink order felt a bit much. I got a "mega-Rita" and it was quite good. It was $16 but it was the size of at least 2 drinks and the flavor was spot on. I'd absolutely order that again. I decided to order the "Jersey Burger" to eat which was a half pound steak burger with American cheese, and Jersey meat (I won't debate pork roll vs Taylor ham) on a brioche roll. The burger was cooked to the temp I asked for (which these days is not close to a guarantee) so I was happy, and the flavor was solid. Good sear on the Jersey meat, and all the flavors together were enjoyable. I also chose to get tater tots in place of the fries. I ate one of Samantha's fries and it was okay but it a menu has tots I normally get them. Total bill for 3 people was right around $100, but a good $42 or so of that was drinks. I enjoyed the food a lot and would definitely come back. OMG Burger and Brew in Long Valley, NJ - Didn't Suck!

This was my second visit to OMG and I would come here more regularly if they were closer to home. It's got a solid menu that will please everyone in the family -- from burgers, salads, grain bowls, pizza and more. We enjoyed our meals. The beer and cocktail menu is great too. We sat outside since seating was available. They had some fire pits so not bad. Service by Austin was great even though it was a very busy Saturday night.

So yes, by my highly scientific logic, this is also a Mexican spot. The decor definitely leans Mexico, heavy, which its amazing, kept reminding me of my favorite Mexican restaurant. But anyway, we're not here for interior design, we're here to eat. There's a LOT going on here, menu wise and vibe pwise, but in a good way. I ordered the Sandwiches de Miga 'Olímpico' and if you haven't tried them yet, that's a personal failure you can still fix. They're a must. Soft, classic, comforting... except for the edges. The edges were... questionable. Hard/frozen-ish. Not blaming anyone directly, maybe the fridge settings were on "Antarctica," maybe they weren't fully thawed. We'll never know. But that first bite hurt emotionally. It was like ordering a burger without pickles, taking a confident bite, and BOOM! pickle. Suddenly your whole day shifts slightly off center. Service wise: the guy at the counter stared at me, I started my order with zero greeting, felt like human self checkout, and I'm fine with that. Sometimes you don't want conversation, you just want carbs. Despite the frozen edge plot twist, I'm 100% coming back. The food has real potential, the place has character, and I need to try their asado.

That would be a genuine thank you and greeting. Menus adorn the wood tables. The art on the walls seems to be reminiscent of another restaurant but no matter. The smiles are genuine and they have foods that no one has in NJ. I'm getting a stir fry with lamb and basil. The bubble tea (coconut) with soft and chewy boba charms. Not cloying. Not overly sweet. Nor too cold. A lively aperitif perhaps. The coconut goes down easily. It would not be over reaching to say that the yellow curry soup is one of the best soups I've enjoyed lately. Each sip is a journey into the heart of darkness. Mysterious and tasty. It comes rife with napa cabbage, fragrant scallion and napped with coconut milk. The stir fried lamb is a pan Asian delight. Its roots firmly in the classics with natural stock and evident love in the kitchen. This is a restaurant that will require deep study because this one meal will lead to many more.

***If there's one review you should read before deciding to come here, it's this one. I'm about to…read morewax poetic.*** Let me preface by saying that I'm a young adult who considers himself a bit of a foodie. I work in Times Square so I usually frequent fine dining establishments in the city, but my home is North Jersey so I am acutely aware that there are some hidden gems in this state. Last week, I was at the Saddle River Inn in Saddle River and was blown away. But this place is far, far, even more exceptional. Greatest dining experience ever. Called the restaurant due to a last-minute cancelation in my party. Evan, a manager, was super helpful in waiving any cancelation fees. It's BYOB and there's a brewery across the street that apparently does takeout. I just brought beer from my house. They gave me chilled glasses and a bucket of ice to keep my refreshments chilled. Onto the ambience. You walk in and it's a nice, cozy little place with tables and a bar top with an open kitchen layout behind it. You can see all the food that's cooking and the presentations that go behind each dish - all live in front of you. The chef's were busy but always obliged when I said hey or asked a question. I tried the 5 course chef's tasting menu for $125. You get a little bit of all of the best flavors coming out of the kitchen. And the flavors are always changing. They source their ingredients from local farms. First came out complimentary course #1 - all I remember is it had crudo in it. Then course #1 - gulf shrimp with squid. This is the point where I decide no matter how else dinner plays out, I'm coming back. What fresh ingredients and creative flavor pairings. Next was course #2 - duck confit spring roll. It's just a smaller portion of what's regularly on their menu. This may have been my favorite item of the night. Next was wood fired octopus in tagliatelle pasta. After that, I believe, was complimentary course #2 - what appeared to be a caesar salad. Anything they make is delicious. Finally, I had an American wagyu strip as the fourth course. Absolutely delectable. At this point, I'm in Heaven. But I'm not quite yet full and ready for my dessert - profiteroles - one of my favorite desserts. I was looking forward to it from the moment I walked in and saw it listed on the tasting menu. I only eat 1 meal a day so when I finally eat, I eat a lot. A normal person would be full at this point, but I wanted more. I also couldn't help but think it might have something to do with me not wanting to leave and just try anything this kitchen made. So I ordered more. I asked for their regular menu and ordered some more duck confit spring rolls and some type of pork belly entree. Quick note - the pork belly entree was not good. You have to take the losses on the chin to make the wins matter more. Pork belly over beans? It was like bbq ribs meets an English breakfast. Please get rid of that, respectfully. After 3 bites, I didn't want any more so I quietly flagged down my server, Kat, and told her please quietly take this, I fully intend to pay for it since I ordered it; it's just no good. And I had been raving to her about every dish up until that point. So she insisted that she'd take it off the check. I insisted I'd pay, she kept insisting, so I relented. That's really good customer service. Now time for dessert. I wish I could say I was ending on a better note but the Profiteroles - which I mentioned is a favorite dessert of mine - massive disappointment. After everything else was put together for care, I got notes of freezer for this last one - especially the pumpkin part. I love this restaurant and I intend on returning as soon as possible, so please don't take offense to my constructive criticism. I applaud your efforts to infuse different flavors together. It is working wonders for you. Keep it up. I'm gonna share pictures of everything, including the menu. But the last 2 things I'll talk about are the cost and the service. With the pork belly entree taken off, it was just the 5 course tasting menu, an order of duck confit spring rolls, and a $6 double espresso. The total came out to $168 after taxes. I tipped $168. That's right. 100%. In a world where people like to dock tip percentages from their precious "20%" for what they perceive to be a lack of good service, let's normalize going above 25% for exceptional service. Not everyone can afford 100% like me, but next tip tip your servers 30-35% for exceptional service. As a former server in my heyday, I promise it'll mean more to them than the few extra dollars to you. And exceptional service is what I got. From manager Evan, to server Kat, to all of the others I met - forgive me if I forget any names. Chef Kelly, Chef Mike, Chef Jon, Keira, Jimmy. Thank you for an unforgettable 5-star experience. Keep up the exceptional work. I will see you again soon.
