I'm done with this place... the last two appointments have been pretty poor. Last time I got laser hair removal... and the lady zapped part of my tattoo and then acted like she didn't do it. It ruined a part of my tattoo :/. On top of that the hair removal barely lasts a couple months. It must be on some low level or something. This time however I went in to get Botox and last time I paid 200ish dollar and mentioned that I'd like to do a little more and somehow I walked away paying over 600 without any warning or disclosure that I was doing that much more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To start, staff is very welcoming and friendly and so was Natalie, my injector.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in originally for restylane in my lips & masseter botox, came back for a check in and to top them off, and ended up doing my jaw, chin, and cheekbones for facial balancing. It looks so natural and I'm really happy with my results. I don't have a ton of experience with fillers but I will say, everywhere else I've gone, I looked like I got punched in the face for like 2 weeks and with Natalie, I didn't bruise at all on my lips or my face. I requested a hydrafacial and was charged 30% more without explanation and they pretended they would do something and no one has called or refunded me. When the lady came in to work on me, she explained the "extras" like extra facial steps to charge me more. I said no thank you , it was expensive for what they're doing and I'd rather go to Korea or Los Angeles to get better stuff for a better price. Then she was doing my face for dermabrasion, and she asked if I wanted my neck and chest done. I said "sure." She hardly did anything on my neck and chest and I was charged 100 extra dollars at the end of the appointment. It went from $200 to $300+ for a facial. She never told me it was an extra charge for more coverage. I told the desk woman about it. She said she can't do anything and will talk to a manager about it. No manager has called me. I understand they're trying to fit in as many clients as possible for money but this seems like sleazy practice. I get facials at many different medical and hotel spas as I travel for work. It's not about money - it's about service. They should be clear without trying to skip in charges. There is a nice woman who works the phone who has been here 16 years though. read more

I was nervous getting my first facial treatment. Ashley did a great job and she made me feel at ease. She told me I have oily-combination skin which makes total sense! I have previously thought my skin was just oily and I didn't need to moisturize as much. But my skin is actually dying for moisture and needs hydration and therefore over produces oil because of my lack of moisture and hydration especially around my T-zone. My pores feel so clean now. I can actually feel my face. My skin feels smooth and even. My skin tone is brighter and less red too. I highly recommend this treatment and I look forward to my next appointment. read more

Complete scumbags!! I want to preface that I had sooo much to do on this day, with errands and appts., etc. And these scumbags held me hostage for almost 2 TWO hours!! After paperwork for some routine botox, I waited almost 30 minutes in another waiting room. There were plenty of employees wandering around with nonsense chitchat, and no one bothered to pop in to let me know this agony would end soon. Then I was led into another room to watch a video (??) that was sooo boring, I couldn't even watch it. Ps; if you have to play a lazy video; maybe you shouldn't. THEN they proceeded to give me about 25 consultations, and repeat the same thing over and over and over like I was an 8 year old idiot. Plus they talked sooo slow; again like I was an idiot. Then the pain continued with this arguing idiot with needle. These clowns have NO respect for your time, then I was charged extra for some lift I wanted. And now I have droopy lids and one eyebrow higher than the other. ?? Everytime I look in the mirror, I'm reminded how much you ruined my entire day, mood, face and schedule, and How much I hate you. If I could rate this place a zero, I would. First of all, you have to pay to park and it costs $13.00 for 1 hour in the building at 450 Sutter. The attendant told me $8.00 but when I left it was a different story. You can park a few block away but I think the fee would be the same price. Second of all, it took me an hour to drive here only to have the Esthetician tell me she does not use steam on the face. I've used steam to dilate my pores naturally for over 20 years with a enzyme softener so the sebum would come out super easy. Machines embed and clogs doors. I was only asking for a "little", like 2 minutes or even less. So, the Esthetician ruled and would not listen to the customer. I left and wasted 2 hours of my day on this place, drove in horrible traffic to San Francisco, CA. People know what works for their skin and for these "upidty" folks to think they are God to skin care should find another profession. I was horribly disappointed and I could've had much more success at a local neighborhood spa. read more

The technician was lovely, but seemed distracted - during the treatment she spent about 85% of the time on the right side of my face, then sped through the left side, leaving me with a completely uneven jaw/chin area. Nervous to correct the issue ahead of my wedding and cause more unevenness by returning, I've waited several months for the results to fade with no avail. I've been coming back for several years now. I've seen many gorgeous women walking in and out of this place. I remembered when I first starting going, a very stylish man whom I've been friends with for some time said, "people like us take care of ourselves." I began to wonder what he meant by "people like us." I imagine it meant that we looked good and enjoyed looking good. I don't know why that comment stuck with me over the years. When I look at myself in the mirror and find imperfection, I came here for a small touch up. It is not permanent, it is not drastic, it's just small something. White wine is always chilled. Always dry fruit and nuts. Winter they serve red wine. Changing space to make you comfortable. Clean and efficient. No fuss. Not an inexpensive place to go but I imagine beauty is indeed priceless. This review is to give you a detailed rundown of MicroNeedling at Epi Center. In a nutshell, **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**. IF YOU HAVE ACNE SCARS, HYPERPIGMENTATION OR DARK SPOTS, then this is for you. If you're just looking for an overall brighter, more youthful complexion, then go for Microneedling!! First of all, what is Microneedling? (Not to worry, I didn't know at the time either). Now that I've had it done a couple of times, I think of it as a lightly, *semi-invasive* treatment. As the name indicates, this treatment involves a needle - in fact, a pen with that has needles in it - that lightly punctures your skin. The action helps to shed your old dead layer of skin, and invite a fresh, bright layer of skin to your face. I think it also helps build collagen, so your face will look full and plump (in a good way). Is it painful? No, I didn't think so. They numb your face with lidocane, and the action kinda feels like a massage on the face. With that being said, your face WILL be red for a couple of days, and it will feel tender for a few days at least. My face was swollen for about a week. WARNING: YOUR SKIN IS VERY RECEPTIVE AFTER THE TREATMENT SO STAY OUT OF THE SUN. Within a few days, your skin will start shedding. And within a week, what I experienced was AMAZING. SUPER BRIGHT, GLOWING, PLUMP AND FULL SKIN! THE BEST PART IS THAT DARK SPOTS AND HYPER-PIGMENTATION WERE SERIOUSLY FADED! It's like nothing else I'd tried before. Check out the before-and-after photos of the acne scars I've had on my face for years. And that's after one treatment! This review is based on my most recent visit which was my first in close to 3 years seeing as though I had moved away . I have since returned to the Bay Area and was happy to get the ball back rolling at Epi Med Spa. Let me first start off by saying I would still recommend them for the services they offer . The nurses are pretty skilled in what they do . Being a returning client I felt like a new one . The staff has changed quite a bit since my last visit . The young lady at the checkin counter was very sweet however she wasn't very knowledgeable of things I had asked. She didn't even know the WiFi password for the guest . Secondly she was trying her best to multitask but things got away from her for a second upon check out . Granted someone stepped out for lunch but she just wasn't prepared to handle this . My appointment for micro-needling was at 115PM. I received a call the day prior asking if I could come at 1PM for numbing prior to my appointment . No problem . I arrive at 1PM to not be seen until 2PM ! At this point I'm super annoyed from the wait . I asked the young lady at the checkout desk how much longer until I was to be seen at about 1:50PM. She was pleasant, apologized, and explained there was some confusion in my appointment time. I'm taken back shortly after. Fast forward. My micro needling treatment went well . Until I'm told they were out of peptide mask that generally follow this type of treatment. It's pretty lifesaving when it comes to calming the skin. To not only not have any there was no alternative for such . Pretty disappointing .
