Showed him multiple videos exactly like this. Had to go through corporate to get it fixed at another shop. Got it fixed at another shop. Do not go to Rommel. Corporate is alright. Rommel will say he couldn't duplicate the problem. He claimed it was fixed and it got stuck in gear 2 days later and I showed him a video. Rommel demanded to see a timestamp. Claimed he fixed it again. Got stuck in gear. He told me truck shifted beautifully and to take it back to Texas and see if they want to give me a new transmission. He does not stand by his work. When one of his techs said he heard the noise I was telling them about, Rommel yelled at him. In front of me. Then he yelled at him in the back room. Rommel is not cool. Starting with a phone inquiry, their response was friendly and professional. Yes, they are busy, but they are very accommodating to my schedule too. Before I took my car in, I had an idea what my engine service light means through my car code scanner. But I'm not a mechanic and I don't know how accurate my scanner is and how much I can trust it. I took the car to George. His son Joe took care of me. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. He called me later when they had time to check my car out and told me the problem my car is having which is totally in-line with the scanner. (They did not know I had scanned the code already). They found a leak in a hose that would explain the failure code. They recommended to replace it and see if the code would go away, and to make sure no other problems were hidden behind that. They did not find additional problem. So, they only charged me for replacing the hose and a dirty air filter. The conclusion is: they know what they are doing and they did not try to sell me something that I don't need. They are honest, experienced, and knowledgeable. I believe this is a family business. Their passions and experience about auto repair is clearly evidenced. Yes, they charge 3% credit card fee. So, if you want to save a little, bring cash.
