This is my second visit in the last week and it is so good. I highly recommend if you're wanting seafood on a weekend night.

On our recent trip to Bay St. Lois we decided to make reservations at the Epic Buffet. In years past we had a wonderful experience with this restaurant. Large variety Great food. On 02/26/2021 we were very disappointed. The cost of the buffet was $88.00 for us two and we expected the same as previous visits. We were very disappointed. The buffet was very limited in regards to seafood. The server at the crab leg and lobster bar was very rude. I ask for crab legs and lobster and was told I could only get one choice at a time. I had to return. Also the crab legs was almost non existent except for a few that was left about the size of my little finger. I ask for better choice and was advised that he had to use those first. The crab legs were non edible and in pieces. I did return and ask if I could get extra so I would not have to keep returning and he gave me 2 claws and stated that was all I could get. Do you love endless amounts of crab, steak and decadent desserts? Well then, my friend, the Epic Buffet @Hollywood Casino is for you. The Epic Buffet is Exactly that. Epic. Maybe it's ever more than epic? What word describes beyond epic? Insert that word here. I'll be honest, I didn't have very high expectations of this buffet. I just thought it would be like any other buffet I've ever been too, maybe a small tray of crab legs, sushi, and other standard fillers. I was wrong. SO wrong. I honestly should have taken pictures but I was so entranced by my surroundings I completely lost all sense of my usual Yelp tendencies. First of all, I came here with my family for Easter because not much is better than having someone else whip up a delicious holiday meal AND do the dishes. They were serving a champagne brunch until 3pm. AMEN, count me in. Problem is, we rolled into the Hollywood Casino around 1:45 and easily had a one hour wait in the buffet line. Let me cut to the chase, So worth it. Apparently as long as you're in line by 3 you qualify for the champagne brunch, so we were all clear. I put in my champagne order, then head straight for the crab legs. I'm not here to play games and waste time on fried chicken and pizza. What I witnessed was not one, but two enormous mounds of crab legs, probably the size of a small mountain (i.e. in Louisiana terms, comparable to Monkey Hill at the zoo). One of these glorious piles was Snow Crab and the other was Dungeness. Once again let me cut to the chase. Do not, I repeat, do not waste your time and valuable stomach real estate on snow crab. Go straight for the Dungeness and Royal Red Shrimp. After you're done indulging in endless amounts of seafood, head for their elaborate dessert display. I haven't seen such an extensive dessert selection at a buffet in my life! Not only were they delicious, they were beautiful. I grabbed several that were very good, although I can't specifically remember what they were called. The one I do remember is the one I concocted myself, which was a combination of Bread Pudding and Bananas Foster. It was So amazing and I hope that someone reads this, recreates it for their restaurant and dedicates it to me! Please, go to the Epic Buffet. Specifically for a holiday for the endless champagne brunch. I promise you will return to this very review to send me a 'Thank You' compliment. read more

I was having hard times at home and needed a place to stay so I used my free nights I had three free nights every week so I use them and the manager gave me complementary food for me and my children awesome stuff very very good stuff. I will always be thankful for that. read more

Great buffet if you go on a day that they are serving crab! They have some other great choices as well including baked fish and royal red shrimp (can you tell I like seafood?), pizza, steak, etc. But let's be honest.. I was there for the crab legs. We went on Mother's Day and for 30 dollars we got endless amounts of crab, other food, dessert, and a few mimosas. Their dessert options are immensely better than other casino buffet dessert options. Oh Jesus, where to begin? Today is Sunday and tonight was promoted as Oysters, Royal Reds (shrimp) and Grilled Steaks and, from a purely legal definition, that claim was true, especially since the words "fresh" and "edible" were noticeably absent. The half-full restaurant at 5:00 on Sunday should have been our first red flag but my wife and I were so hungry we failed to take notice. After handing over our $60 we were dropped off at our table and left to explore the horrors that awaited. And the first horror was the "oyster bar".... I love raw oysters! I have eaten them on both coasts, cold water and warm, and even some from Japan. But the minute I saw the oysters on the Epic Buffet my survival instinct kicked in. Their smell and texture just screamed "neurotoxic shellfish poisoning" I quickly moved on to the Royal Reds.... On the surface the shrimp looked good but turned out to be horribly overcooked, bland and utterly devoid of any flavor. As I watched people shovel them down I wondered what crime these poor shrimp had committed to end up in a buffet like this? Probably the most disturbing item was the "prime rib", an almost perfectly square loaf of meat that looked like it was processed. I watched the guy at the carving station pull a fresh one out and noted how much it looked like a long, grey loaf of Wonder Bread. I have cooked a lot of standing ribs in my time and that is NOT what they look like. I could continue on, but suffice to say the food was revolting and tonight was probably one of the singular worst meals we have ever eaten. That it made my wife sick and I had to pay $60 for it is simply salt in the wound. read more

We went to the buffet at Hollywood Casino is Bay St. Louis. The last time I ate there I had no complaints at all. This time it was even better. It was a Friday night's seafood buffet. Lawd have mercy!!! From frog legs to lobster, crablegs, mussels, fried & baked fish, and etc. Fried whole catfish. I could keep going on and on but no thanks. You need to go see for yourself. Oh gosh. I'm a pescatarian that was in seafood and veggie heaven. I so enjoyed that buffet. I was told silver slipper is even better. Ok I cannot see any buffet being better than Epic Buffet but next time I'm visiting we will see. But it will have to be after I go back to the buffet at Hollywood. The buffet only allowed crab or lobster each walk up to the line due to covid. Well we got our exercise. The kid price for a six year old is the same as a grown man. Crabs were cooked nicely. Was really "pissed". Went there to eat at the buffet last weekend for MOTHER"S DAY. The line was very long. The sign said that they would be closing at 9pm. We went back at 8:15pm. No line. The man who worked at the entrance of the buffet said that we could not eat there because we would have needed to BE SEATED by 9pm. What a disappointment. Sunday November 8, My wife I went to the Hollywood Casino for an early dinner and gaming, My wife had the catfish and said it was great , I had crab & Royal red Shrimp. The shrimp were falling apart, and in pieces. Crab was small and you had to dig the meat out. We have been coming to the Hollywood 3 or 4 times a month for years. Was looking forward to the all you can eat Maine Lobster. Very disappointed. Not sure if it was due to boiling and not steaming or over cooking but the lobster were extremely over cooked. Tail meat was rubbery and chewy. I was raised in Maine. I know a well steamed / cooked lobster. Other offerings on the buffet were disappointing. Prime rib was tough as nails. For the cost there were not a lot of choices. We often frequent the buffet at the Silver Slipper. Wanted to try this one for the Lobster. We will pass in the future. read more

This is no system in place, just who ever they see first. So, we were skipped 4 time. Causing a delay. It was a table for 2. I dont mind the line, that is understandable. But figure it out with getting a table. Finally spoke up and the hostess was snippy and short with us. It is overpriced but we are comped so that not a problem, but if I had to pay for it, I would only go one night not every night. But all in all I would recommend it and we will be back. read more

They have a good selection of food but it wasn't as good as it was in the past. The desert options are where the most change was, they have scooped ice cream but little to no toppings available. You can't even get a cone. Also the seafood gumbo was the greatest at one time but this time couldn't even eat it. read more

Last year for my Birthday Hollywood generously gave me 2 free buffets, as an employee I was extremely happy. I quit a few months ago and had never gotten around to using it. I decided to take my sister out to eat and remembered I had this coupon, only to be put to shame (I looked front and back never once finding any terms) when I went to use them I was told even though it's not expired as an ex employee I no longer have rights to my gift. I was embarrassed not necessarily for myself but for the fact that the Hollywood Casino or PNGaming is so cheap that they take back a gift they gave to an employee. I was incredibly shocked that any place would even consider being this foolish. I am happy to no longer work at such a greedy company. read more

This is the worst buffet I have ever been to. The food was cold and tasted disgusting. The price is pretty steep for what you get. There is not enough selection for this place to charge the price they do. If you enjoy shrimp that smell like gasoline and mac and cheese that has gelatinized this is the place for you.
